Description

The present invention relates to a lid that can be detachably attached to a cup having a cup body and a handle provided on the side of the cup body.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a lid that is attached to a cup. The lid engages with a flange formed on the upper end of the cup, preventing it from coming off the cup.

However, such a lid can only be applied to cups that have a flange formed on the top opening. The present invention was made to solve the above problem, and aims to provide a lid that can be fixed to cups that do not have a flange.

The lid according to the present invention is a lid that can be detachably attached to a cup having a cup body and a handle provided on the side of the cup body, and includes a lid body that closes the upper opening of the cup body, and a handle fixing part that extends from the periphery of the lid body and can be detachably fixed to the handle.

In the above lid, the handle fixing portion can include an upper wall that covers the upper part of the handle, an engagement portion that is disposed below the upper wall and engages with the underside of the upper part of the handle, and a restricting wall that is disposed on either side of the cup body in the circumferential direction from the engagement portion and can come into contact with the upper part of the handle.

In the above lid, the lid body comprises a plate-shaped main body portion and a first peripheral portion that extends downward from the outer edge of the main body portion and is positioned outside the upper end of the cup body, and a notch is formed on the lower edge of the first peripheral portion that extends from the engagement portion to the other side in the circumferential direction and through which the upper part of the handle can pass, and the notch can be surrounded by a first edge portion that extends in the circumferential direction and a second edge portion that extends obliquely downward from the first edge portion.

In the above lid, the lid body may further include a second peripheral portion that extends downward from the inside of the first peripheral portion in the main body portion and is positioned inside the upper end of the cup body.

In the above lid, an opening can be formed in the upper wall through which the upper part of the handle can be seen.

The lid of the present invention can be fixed to cups that do not have a flange.

One embodiment of a lid according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. The lid according to this embodiment is attached to a cup provided with a handle. Below, we will first explain the cup to be used, and then explain the lid.

＜1. Cup＞
Fig. 1 is a side view of a cup for which the lid according to this embodiment is intended. As shown in Fig. 1, this cup 50 includes a cup body 51 formed in a cylindrical shape with an opening formed at the top and a bottom, and a handle 52 connected to the side of the cup body 51. The side of the cup body 51 is formed so that the outer diameter becomes smaller as it goes downward. The handle 52 is formed in a U-shape in a side view, and the upper end and the lower end are connected to the side of the cup body 51. To explain in more detail, the handle 52 has an upper part 521 that extends from the side of the cup body 51 in a substantially horizontal direction, and then extends while curving downward, and its lower end is connected to the side of the cup body 51.

<2. Lid>
Next, the lid will be described with reference to Figures 2 to 4. Figure 2 is a perspective view of the lid seen from the side, Figure 3 is a perspective view of the lid seen from below, and Figure 4 is a plan view of the lid. For ease of explanation, as shown in Figure 4, the clockwise direction in the circumferential direction of the lid 10 will be referred to as the first direction, and the counterclockwise direction will be referred to as the second direction. As shown in Figures 2 to 4, the lid 10 includes a lid body 1 that closes the upper opening of the cup 50, and a handle fixing part 2 that is connected to the periphery of the lid body 1.

The lid body 1 comprises a disk-shaped body portion 11, a cylindrical first peripheral portion 12 extending downward from the outer edge of the body portion 11, and a cylindrical second peripheral portion 13 extending downward from the inside of the first peripheral portion 12 on the underside of the body portion 11. The length of the second peripheral portion 13 protruding from the body portion 11 is shorter than the length of the first peripheral portion 12. The upper end of the cup body 51 fits between the two peripheral portions 12, 13, as shown in FIG. 8, which will be described later. The first peripheral portion 12 has a notch 28 extending from the handle fixing portion 2 in the first direction. The notch 28 will be described later.

As shown in Figs. 2 to 4, the handle fixing part 2 has a rectangular top wall 21 in plan view extending radially outward from the main body part 11 of the lid body 1, a tip wall 22 extending downward from the radial tip of the top wall 21, a rectangular first side wall 23 extending downward from the side edge of the top wall 21 on the first direction side, and a rectangular second side wall 24 extending downward from the side edge of the top wall 21 on the second direction side. These walls 21 to 24 form a rectangular parallelepiped space that is open downward. The first side wall 23 and the second side wall 24 are connected to the first peripheral part 12 of the lid body 1, and as shown in Fig. 3, the first peripheral part 12 has a cutout between the both side walls 23 and 24. A rectangular opening 211 is formed in the top wall 21.

The first side wall 23 is shorter in length from the upper wall 21 than the second side wall 24, and the connecting portion with the first peripheral edge portion 12 is continuous with the above-mentioned notch portion 28. That is, the notch portion 28 formed in the first peripheral edge portion 12 is composed of a space surrounded by a first edge portion 281 that extends from the base end portion of the first side wall 23 in the circumferential direction toward the first direction side, and a second edge portion 282 that extends downward from the end portion of this first edge portion 281. The second edge portion 282 is formed to extend diagonally downward as it approaches the first direction.

An engagement portion 26 that engages with the upper portion 521 of the handle 52 is formed on the inner surface of the second side wall 24. This engagement portion 26 has a rectangular plate-shaped engagement portion main body 261 extending in the first direction from near the lower end of the inner surface of the second side wall 24, and a slip-out prevention portion 262 extending upward from the end of the engagement portion main body 261 on the first direction side. Note that this engagement portion 26 is formed below the first side wall 23 in a side view, and as described below, the upper portion 521 of the handle 52 is inserted into the gap between the lower end of the first side wall 23 and the engagement portion 26 (for example, see FIG. 9).

The material from which the lid 10 is made is not particularly limited, and it can be made from a variety of materials, including resin and metal.

<3. How to use the lid>
Next, how to use the lid will be described with reference to Figures 5 to 9. First, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, the lid 10 is placed so as to cover the upper opening of the cup 50. At this time, the upper end of the cup body 51 is positioned between the two peripheral edges 12, 13 of the lid 10. In addition, the upper part 521 of the handle 52 is positioned so as to be placed in the cutout portion 28.

Next, the lid 10 is rotated in the first direction. As a result, the upper part 521 of the handle 52 moves relatively in the second direction and is inserted from the cutout part 28 into the gap between the lower end of the first side wall 23 and the engagement part 26. As a result, as shown in Figures 7 to 9, the upper part 521 of the handle 52 overcomes the retaining part 262 of the engagement part 26 due to the elastic deformation of the engagement part 26 and is positioned on the engagement part main body 261. Note that since the upper part 521 of the handle 52 abuts against the second side wall 24 of the handle fixing part 2, further rotation of the lid 10 in the first direction is restricted. In this way, the engagement part 26 engages with the lower surface of the upper part 521 of the handle 52, so that the upward movement of the lid 10 is restricted. At this time, the upper part 521 of the handle 52 is located below the upper wall 21, so the upper part 521 of the handle 52 can be seen from the opening 211.

To remove the lid 10, the lid 10 is then rotated in the second direction relative to the cup 50. This causes the upper part 521 of the handle 52 to climb over the retaining portion 262 of the engagement portion 26 and move toward the cutout portion 28. When the lid 10 is then further rotated in the second direction, as shown in FIG. 10, the upper part 521 of the handle 52 moves downward along the second edge 282 of the cutout portion 28, so that the lid 10 is lifted upward by the upper part 521 of the handle 52. This allows the lid 10 to be easily removed from the cup 50.

＜4. Features＞
According to this embodiment, the following effects can be obtained.
(1) The lid 10 of this embodiment has a lid body 1 that covers the upper opening of the cup 50, and a handle fixing part 2 that extends radially from the outer edge of the lid body 1 and is fixed to a handle 52 of the cup 50. Therefore, the lid body 1 can prevent foreign matter from being mixed into the beverage poured into the cup 50, and the handle fixing part 2 fixes the lid 10 to the handle 52, so that the lid 10 can be prevented from coming off the cup 50 even if the cup 50 is moved or vibrated. Therefore, even if the cup does not have a flange part, the lid can be fixed as long as a handle is provided.

(2) The lid body 1 has first and second peripheral portions 12, 13 that sandwich the upper end of the cup body 51, preventing the lid 10 from shifting radially.

(3) To attach the lid 10, it is necessary to position the upper portion 521 of the handle 52 in the cutout portion 28 and then rotate the lid 10 in the first direction, so that the lid 10 can be easily attached.

(4) When removing the lid 10, it is sufficient to rotate the lid 10 in the second direction to disengage the engagement portion 26 from the upper portion 521 of the handle 52. When the lid 10 is further rotated in the second direction, the upper portion 521 of the handle 52 moves along the second edge portion 282 of the cutout portion 28, lifting the lid 10, making it easy to remove the lid 10.

(5) An opening 211 is formed in the upper wall 21 of the handle fixing portion 2, so that if the upper portion 521 of the handle 52 can be seen through this opening 211, it can be recognized that the handle 52 is fixed in the correct position.

5. Modifications
Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to this embodiment, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present invention. The following modifications can be combined as appropriate.

(1) At least one of the peripheral portions 12, 13 of the lid body 1 may be provided. Alternatively, the peripheral portions 12, 13 may not be provided.

(2) The shape of the handle fixing portion 2 shown in the above embodiment is one example, and various modifications are possible. In other words, the shape is not particularly limited as long as it can be fixed to the handle 52 in a detachable manner. For example, the shape of the cutout portion 28 is not particularly limited. Also, the cutout portion 28 is not necessarily required, and if the cutout portion 28 is not provided, the length of the first peripheral portion 12 can be shortened and positioned above the handle 52. Alternatively, if the first peripheral portion 12 is not provided, the cutout portion 28 will not be formed.

In addition, for example, in the above embodiment, the lid 10 is rotated in the circumferential direction to fix the upper portion 521 of the handle 52 between the upper wall 21 and the engagement portion 26 so as to sandwich the handle 52 from above and below. However, for example, an engagement portion may be provided that sandwiches the handle 52 from both sides in the circumferential direction.

(3) The shape of the opening 211 in the upper wall 21 is not particularly limited, and the opening 211 may not be provided at all.

(4) The shape of the cup 50 is not particularly limited, and the shape of the handle 52 is also not particularly limited as long as it is U-shaped in side view and the handle fixing part can be fixed.
