Description

The present invention relates to curtain walls that form the exterior surface of a building.

Conventionally, curtain walls are known that have multiple windows with glass (panels) attached to a frame made up of an upper frame, a lower frame, and left and right vertical frames (see Patent Document 1). The lower frame is equipped with a glass support member that directly supports the glass, and the glass support member is fixed to a mounting member provided on the building structure. As a result, the glass load of the glass supported by the glass support member is borne by the building structure via the mounting member, and the lower frame is not borne by the glass load.

However, in the curtain wall described in Patent Document 1, mounting members are used to attach the glass support members to the building frame, so the glass support members must be installed at locations on the building frame where the mounting members can be fixed, making it difficult to construct a curtain wall that can accommodate various installation configurations.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a curtain wall that is designed so that the lower frame does not bear the weight of the glass and can be installed in a variety of different ways.

The curtain wall of the present invention is a curtain wall in which panels are arranged within a frame having an upper frame, a lower frame, and left and right vertical frames, and a panel load-receiving member that receives the load of the panel is installed between the lower frame and the panel, and the panel load-receiving member is fixed to the vertical frames.

The present invention provides a curtain wall that is designed so that the lower frame is not subjected to the load of the glass and can be installed in a variety of different ways.

[Configuration of this embodiment]
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
In Figures 1 to 4, the curtain wall 1 of this embodiment has a plurality of window sections 2 as panel units in which a glass panel 25 (panel) is arranged within a window frame 24 (frame body) having an upper frame 21, a lower frame 22, and left and right vertical frames 23, and a panel load-receiving member 30 that receives the load of the glass panel 25 is installed between the lower frame 22 and the glass panel 25 (a double-layer glass panel in this embodiment).
In the following description, the left-right direction of the window portion 2 is defined as the X-axis direction, the up-down direction of the window portion 2 is defined as the Y-axis direction, and the projection direction of the window portion 2 is defined as the Z-axis direction. The X, Y, and Z axis directions are perpendicular to each other.

The window frame 24 is configured vertically, with the upper frame 21, lower frame 22 and left and right vertical frames 23 being formed from extruded aluminum.
The lower frame 22 comprises a lower frame body 221, a lower frame body 224 connected to the lower part of the lower frame body 221 with bolts 222 and nuts 223, and a push edge 225 engaged with the lower frame body 221, and the lower frame body 221 is connected to the lower frame body 224 so that the connection angle can be adjusted.
The lower frame body 221 has an exterior appearance piece 226, an interior appearance piece 227, an upper appearance piece 228, a lower appearance piece 229, and a partition piece 230, and the exterior appearance piece 226 (exterior piece), the upper appearance piece 228 (upper piece), the lower appearance piece 229 (lower piece), and the partition piece 230 (interior piece) form a hollow portion 231 (lower frame hollow portion) on the exterior side, and the interior appearance piece 227, the upper appearance piece 228, the lower appearance piece 229, and the partition piece 230 form a hollow portion 232 on the interior side. The hollow portions 231 and 232 thus formed extend along the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the lower frame 22. The lower appearance piece 229 has an appearance piece 233 that extends further outside the exterior than the exterior appearance piece 226, and the appearance piece 233 engages with the ridge 225.
The ridge 225 has a ridge projection piece 235 and a ridge spot piece 236 (exterior spot piece) and is formed with a generally L-shaped cross section, and is formed with an engagement groove 237 that engages with the spot piece 233.
The exterior appearance piece 226 (exterior piece), projection piece 233 and edge appearance piece 236 (exterior appearance piece) described above form a recess 240 in which the lower part of the glass panel 25, the setting block 238 that supports the lower part, and the support part 31 (described later) of the panel load receiving member 30 on which the setting block 238 is placed are disposed. This recess 240 extends along the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the lower frame 22. As shown in Fig. 3, the exterior appearance piece 226 of the lower frame 22 holds the glass panel 25 from its interior side, and the edge appearance piece 236 holds the glass panel 25 from its exterior side.
A notch 226A is formed at each of both ends in the X-axis direction of the exterior appearance piece 226, and the panel load receiving member 30 is arranged in the recess 240, the notch 226A and the hollow portion 231.

The panel load receiving member 30 is made of an aluminum extrusion material. As shown in Figures 3 to 5, the panel load receiving member 30 has a support portion 31 that supports the glass panel 25, a fixing portion 32 that is located on the interior side of the room with respect to the support portion 31, and a continuous portion 33 that connects the support portion 31 and the fixing portion 32.
The support portion 31 is formed by a support piece whose upper surface 311 extends along the lower surface 251 of the glass panel 25, and the setting block 238 described above is placed on the upper surface 311. Here, the glass panel 25 is inclined toward the outside of the room with respect to the Y-axis direction, and the lower surface 251 of the glass panel 25 and the upper surface 311 of the support portion 31 are parallel to each other. For this reason, a general-purpose setting block 238 having a rectangular cross section can be used. A gap 239 is formed between the lower surface 312 of the support portion 31 and the bottom surface 241 of the recess 240.
The end of the support portion 31 on the indoor side is continuous with the continuous portion 33. The continuous portion 33 is formed in a hollow rectangular shape and has a hollow portion 331 (continuous hollow portion). By forming the hollow portion 331 between the support portion 31 and the fixing portion 32 in this manner, the strength of the panel load receiving member 30 is increased.
As shown in FIG. 3, the support portion 31 supports the glass panel 25 from the lower surface side.
The fixed portion 32 has a fixed upper piece 321, a fixed lower piece 322, a fixed front piece 323, and a fixed rear piece 324, a screw hole 325 connecting the fixed upper piece 321 and the fixed rear piece 324, and a screw hole 326 connecting the fixed lower piece 322 and the fixed rear piece 324, which form a hollow portion 327 (fixed hollow portion). The screw hole 325 opens downward, and the screw hole 326 opens to the indoor side. The screw holes 325 and 326 are connected by the fixed rear piece 324, and the screw hole 325 is arranged above, and the screw hole 326 is arranged below. The fixed front piece 323 and the fixed lower piece 322 are connected to the above-mentioned continuous portion 33.
The front fixed piece 323 has exterior convexities 323A and 323B that protrude toward the exterior appearance piece 226. The rear fixed piece 324 has an interior convexity 324A that protrudes toward the partition piece 230. The positions of the exterior convexities 323A and 323B in the Y-axis direction are disposed above the positions of the screw holes 326 (the fixed positions of the fixing part 32 relative to the vertical frame 23). The position of the interior convexity 324A in the Y-axis direction is disposed below the position of the screw holes 326. The position of the exterior convexity 323B in the Y-axis direction is disposed midway between the positions of the exterior convexity 323A and the interior convexity 324A in the Y-axis direction.
The dimensions in the X-axis direction of the support portion 31, the continuous portion 33 and the fixed front piece 323 are larger than the dimensions in the X-axis direction of the fixed upper piece 321, the fixed lower piece 322, the fixed rear piece 324 and the screw holes 325, 326, and correspond to the dimensions in the X-axis direction of the setting block 238.
In this embodiment, the fixing portion 32 is fastened to the vertical frame 23 by passing the bolts 328 as two fasteners through the vertical frame 23 and screw holes 325, 326 and screwing into the nuts 329. In this way, the panel load receiving member 30 is fixed to the vertical frame 23. Note that the panel load receiving member 30 is not fixed to the lower frame 22 by bolts or the like and is therefore unfixed.

The construction procedure for the curtain wall 1 will be described below.
First, bolts 328 are passed through the vertical projection pieces 23A (see Figure 4) of the left and right vertical frames 23 and the screw holes 325, 326 of the panel load-receiving member 30, and then screwed into nuts 329 to fix the panel load-receiving member 30 to the left and right vertical frames 23, respectively.
Next, the fixing portion 32 of one of the left and right panel load receiving members 30 is inserted into the hollow portion 231 from one end of the lower frame 22, and then the fixing portion 32 of the other of the left and right panel load receiving members 30 is inserted into the hollow portion 231 from the other end of the lower frame 22. At this time, the continuous portion 33 is positioned in the cutout portion 226A, and the support portion 31 is positioned in the recess 240 (without the ridge 225). Then, the upper frame 21 and the lower frame 22 are connected to the left and right vertical frames 23 to form a framework for the window frame 24.
Next, the glass panel 25 is placed inside the window frame 24, and the window portion 2 is formed by installing a ledge 225 and the like.
By configuring multiple window sections 2 in this manner and arranging them vertically and horizontally, the curtain wall 1 is formed.
In this embodiment, the panel load of the glass panel 25 received by the panel load receiving member 30 is transferred to the vertical frame 23, so that the lower frame 22 is configured not to receive the panel load, thereby making it possible to reduce the size of the lower frame 22 and increase the size of the glass panel 25.

[Modification]
In the above embodiment, the fixing portion 32 of the panel load receiving member 30 is fixed to the vertical frame 23 by two fasteners, namely, a bolt 328 and a nut 329, which are respectively passed through the screw holes 325, 326, but this is not limited thereto, and the fixing portion 32 may be fixed to the vertical frame 23 by three or more fasteners, or may be fixed to the vertical frame 23 by a single fastener. Even when the fixing portion 32 is fixed to the vertical frame 23 by a single fastener, the exterior convex portions 323A, 323B come into contact with the fixing front piece 323, thereby preventing the panel load receiving member 30 from tilting to the exterior and the glass panel 25 from falling to the exterior.
In the above embodiment, a gap 239 is formed between the lower surface 312 of the support portion 31 and the bottom surface 241 of the recess 240, but the gap 239 does not have to be formed if there is no problem when inserting the lower frame 22 into the panel load-receiving member 30.
In the above embodiment, the fixing portion 32 has the exterior convex portions 323A and 323B, but is not limited thereto, and may have only one of the exterior convex portions 323A and 323B. In addition, the fixing portion 32 has the exterior convex portions 323A and 323B and the interior convex portion 324A, but these configurations may be omitted.
In the above embodiment, the continuous portion 33 is configured to have a hollow portion 331, but if the panel load receiving member 30 has sufficient strength to support the panel load, the configuration of the hollow portion 331 may be omitted.
In the above embodiment, the glass panel 25 is inclined toward the outside of the room with respect to the Y-axis direction, but it may be installed along the Y-axis direction. In this case, the lower surface 251 of the glass panel 25 is disposed along the Z-axis direction, and accordingly, the upper surface 311 of the support portion 31 of the panel load receiving member 30 may also be disposed along the Z-axis direction and parallel to the lower surface 251. This allows the use of a general-purpose setting block 238 having a rectangular cross section.

[Summary of the invention]
The curtain wall of the present invention is a curtain wall in which panels are arranged within a frame body having an upper frame, a lower frame, and left and right vertical frames, and is characterized in that a panel load-receiving member that receives the load of the panel is installed between the lower frame and the panel, and the panel load-receiving member is fixed to the vertical frames.
According to the curtain wall of the present invention, the panel load receiving member that receives the load of the panel is fixed to the vertical frame, so the lower frame does not receive the load, and since the panel load receiving member is fixed to the vertical frame instead of the building frame, the panel unit formed by placing the panel inside the frame can receive the load of the panel by itself. Therefore, the curtain wall can be constructed to correspond to various installation forms.

In the curtain wall of the present invention, the panel load-receiving member has a support portion that supports the panel and a fixing portion located on the room side relative to the support portion, and the fixing portion may be fixed to the vertical frame by two or more fasteners.
With this configuration, a rotational moment is generated in the panel load receiving member, which receives the panel load at a support part that is located on the outside of the fixed part. However, since the panel load receiving member is fixed to the vertical frame with two or more fasteners as described above, tilting of the panel load receiving member can be suppressed and the joint strength between the panel load receiving member and the vertical frame can be improved compared to when fixed with a single fastener.

In the curtain wall of the present invention, the panel load-receiving member has a support part that supports the panel and a fixing part located on the room side of the support part, and the lower frame has a lower frame hollow part in which the fixing part is arranged and a recessed part in which the support part is arranged, formed along the longitudinal direction,
A gap may be formed between the lower surface of the support portion and the bottom surface of the recess.
With this configuration, when the fixing portion of the panel load receiving member is positioned in the hollow portion of the lower frame along the longitudinal direction of the lower frame, interference between the lower surface of the support portion and the bottom surface of the recess can be reduced.

In the curtain wall of the present invention, the panel load-receiving member has a support portion that supports the panel and a fixing portion located on the indoor side of the support portion, and the lower frame has a lower frame hollow portion in which the fixing portion is arranged and a recess in which the support portion is arranged formed along the longitudinal direction, the lower frame hollow portion is formed by an upper piece, a lower piece, an outdoor piece and an indoor piece, and the fixing portion may have an outdoor convex portion protruding toward the outdoor piece and an indoor convex portion protruding toward the indoor piece.
With this configuration, when the support part supports the panel, a rotational moment is generated in the panel load-receiving member that causes the support part to lower below the fixed part, and even if the fixing of the fixed part to the vertical frame is loose, the exterior convex part of the fixed part abuts against the exterior piece of the hollow part of the lower frame and the interior convex part abuts against the interior piece, preventing the panel load-receiving member from tilting and the panel from falling to the outside of the room.

In the curtain wall of the present invention, the vertical position of the exterior convex portion may be positioned above the fixed position of the fixing part relative to the vertical frame, and the vertical position of the interior convex portion may be positioned below the fixed position of the fixing part relative to the vertical frame.
With this configuration, as described above, when the support part supports the panel, a rotational moment is generated in the panel load-receiving member that causes the support part to lower below the fixed part, and even if the fixing part is loosely fixed to the vertical frame, the exterior convex part abuts against the exterior piece at a position above the fixed position of the fixed part, and the interior convex part abuts against the interior piece at a position below the fixed position of the fixed part, so that the panel load-receiving member can be more effectively prevented from tilting and the panel from falling to the outside of the room.

In the curtain wall of the present invention, the panel load-receiving member has a support portion that supports the panel, a fixed portion located on the indoor side of the support portion, and a continuous portion that connects the support portion and the fixed portion, and a continuous hollow portion may be formed in the continuous portion.
According to this configuration, the strength of the panel load receiving member can be increased by forming the continuous hollow portion described above, and a panel load receiving member can be constructed in which the support portion that supports the panel is less likely to deform downwards.

In the curtain wall of the present invention, the panel load-receiving member has a support part that supports the panel and a fixing part located on the room side of the support part, and the lower frame has a lower frame hollow part in which the fixing part is arranged and a recessed part in which the support part is arranged, formed along the longitudinal direction,
The hollow portion of the lower frame is formed by an upper piece, a lower piece, an exterior piece and an interior piece, the recess is formed by an exterior visible piece, a visible piece and the exterior piece, and a notch is formed at both longitudinal ends of the exterior piece, and the panel load-receiving member may be arranged in the notch.
According to this configuration, since the exterior piece has a cutout portion as described above, a curtain wall can be constructed in which panel load-receiving members are installed on both ends of the lower frame.
