Description

This invention relates to an indoor storage structure.

Furniture that allows items to be stored and removed from the side of the storage structure has been known for some time. Examples of such furniture include those disclosed in JP-A-6-70819 (Patent Document 1) and JP-A-2015-188599 (Patent Document 2).

Patent Document 1 discloses a shoe cabinet with a door on the front side facing the dirt floor and a storage box on the side facing the entrance hall that can be slid out towards the entrance hall. Patent Document 2 discloses hallway furniture that is installed between the kitchen and the hallway and can be slid out towards the kitchen.

Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 6-70819 JP 2015-188599 A

The shoe cabinet in Patent Document 1 is installed in the entrance hall, while the furniture in Patent Document 2 is installed in the kitchen, and is not designed to be accessible from two rooms.

The present invention was made to solve the above problems, and its purpose is to provide an indoor storage structure that can be used from two rooms.

The indoor storage structure according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a first chamber, a second chamber having a different function from the first chamber, and a storage section disposed between the first chamber and the second chamber and having a first surface facing the first chamber, a second surface facing the second chamber, and a side surface facing the aisle connecting the first chamber and the second chamber, the storage section including a drawer that can be pulled out from the side surface towards the aisle.

Preferably, the first room and the second room are any room selected from the group consisting of a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a washroom, and a living room.

Preferably, the storage compartment further includes a partition wall separating the first and second compartments, with one side of the storage compartment facing the aisle and the other side of the storage compartment facing the partition wall.

Preferably, the first room is a kitchen, the second room is a dining room or living room, the storage unit includes a sink with a stove and a kitchen counter located adjacent to the sink with a stove, the kitchen counter includes a base portion extending from the floor surface to a predetermined height position and a top plate located on the upper surface of the base portion, and the base portion has a drawer.

The embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the same or corresponding parts in the drawings are given the same reference numerals and their description will not be repeated.

(Embodiment 1)
An overview of an indoor storage structure 1 (hereinafter simply referred to as a storage structure) according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 1 and 2.

The house in which the storage structure 1 is used may be a detached house, or may be one dwelling unit in a collective housing complex such as an apartment building. The house has multiple rooms. A room is a room with a different function, and includes not only an area that is completely separated by walls, but also an area where part of the interior is separated by furniture or the like. A room with a different function is a room with a different purpose, or a room that has the same purpose but is used by different people. A room is, for example, any room selected from the group consisting of a kitchen, dining room, living room, washroom, and living room. A living room is a room other than a kitchen, dining room, or living room, and is, for example, a Western-style room, a Japanese-style room, a child's room, a bedroom, etc.

As shown in FIG. 1, the storage structure 1 according to this embodiment includes a kitchen (first room) 14, a dining room (second room) 15 that has a different role from the kitchen 14, and a storage section 2 that is located between the kitchen 14 and the dining room 15. The kitchen 14 and the dining room 15 are connected by a passage 13.

The kitchen 14 is provided in a space surrounded by the first wall 11, the second wall 12, and the third wall 10. The kitchen 14 is provided with a stove-top sink 5. The stove-top sink 5 is, for example, substantially rectangular in plan view, and is composed of a long front portion 5a and a back portion 5b, and a short first side portion 5c and a second side portion 5d. The first side portion 5c is located on the first wall 11 side and contacts the first wall 11. The second side portion 5d is located on the passage 13 side. Here, the passage 13 is provided between the second side portion 5d of the stove-top sink 5 and the second wall 12. A part of the back portion 5b contacts the partition wall 6 that protrudes from the first wall 11 toward the interior of the room. Pipes such as water pipes are provided inside the partition wall 6. In addition, in the kitchen 14, for example, a cupboard, a refrigerator, etc. are arranged along the third wall 10.

As shown in FIG. 2, the stove-and-sink unit 5 is provided with a work area 51, a sink 52 for washing food and dishes, and a heating appliance 53 such as a gas stove. Below these, a foot storage area 54 is provided for storing cooking utensils and the like used in the kitchen.

As shown in FIG. 1, the dining room 15 is adjacent to the kitchen 14 across the stove-and-sink 5, and is located between the first wall 11 and the second wall 12.

As described above, the storage section 2 is disposed between the kitchen 14 and the dining room 15. The storage section 2 faces the rear portion 5b of the stove-top sink 5 and the partition wall 6. Specifically, a second side panel 24 (FIG. 4) of the storage section 2, which will be described later, faces the side of the partition wall 6. In this embodiment, the storage section 2 is a counter-style kitchen counter. The kitchen counter 2 is located adjacent to the stove-top sink 5. Specifically, the kitchen counter 2 is in contact with the stove-top sink 5.

The kitchen counter 2, which is the storage section of this embodiment, will be described with reference to Figures 2 to 7. In Figure 3, the direction indicated by arrow A1 is the left-right direction, the direction indicated by arrow A2 is the front-rear direction, and the direction indicated by arrow A3 is the up-down direction.

As shown in FIG. 3, the kitchen counter 2 has an overall box-like shape. The kitchen counter 2 includes a base portion 22 that extends from the floor surface to a predetermined height position, and a top plate 21 that is located on the upper surface of the base portion 22.

The top plate 21 is a table on which, for example, dishes and the like are placed. As shown in FIG. 2, the height of the top plate 21 is higher than the height of the stove-and-sink unit 5. Also, as shown in FIG. 3, a base 43 is attached below the top plate 21 to support the top plate 21 from below.

The base portion 22 generally has a storage shelf 49 that can be used from the dining room 15 side, and a drawer 32 that can be pulled out from the side toward the aisle 13 side. In this embodiment, the side of the back panel 26 of the storage shelf 49 is the "first side," and the side where the storage shelf 49 opens is the "second side." In other words, in this embodiment, the storage shelf 49 is provided on the second side.

The storage shelf 49 in this embodiment includes, for example, a large storage shelf section 45 and small storage shelf sections 46, 47 that open toward the dining room 15, and a doored storage shelf section 48 with a door panel 30 on the front side.

As shown in Figures 3, 4 and 7, the large storage shelf section 45 is surrounded by the first side panel 23 facing the aisle 13, the partition panel 25, the back panel 26, the shelf panel 44 and the base 43. An outlet 42 is provided on the back panel 26 of the large storage shelf section 45. It is preferable to store electrical appliances that require an outlet in the large storage shelf section 45. By providing the outlet 42 on the back panel 26, it is easy to use electrical appliances on the table, even if the table is set up along the kitchen counter 2. In addition, since the large storage shelf section 45 is provided at the top, the user can plug and unplug electrical appliances while sitting in a chair.

As shown in Figures 3, 4, and 5, the small storage shelf section 46 is surrounded by the second side panel 24, the partition panel 25, the back panel 26, and the shelves 27 and 28. The small storage shelf section 47 is located below the small storage shelf section 46, and is surrounded by the second side panel 24, the partition panel 25, the back panel 26, the bottom panel 29, and the shelves 28.

As shown in FIG. 5, the doored storage shelf section 48 is surrounded by the second side panel 24, the partition panel 25, the back panel 26, the shelf panel 27, and the base 43, and a door panel 30 is attached to the front side (dining room 15 side). The door panel 30 is attached to the second side panel 24 via a hinge 30a. The door panel 30 is formed larger than the opening size of the doored storage shelf section 48, and can be opened and closed by placing a hand on the large storage shelf section 45 side.

In this way, by providing the large storage shelf section 45, the small storage shelf sections 46, 47, and the storage shelf section with door 48 on the dining room 15 side, small items used in the dining room 15 can be stored. Also, since the large storage shelf section 45 and the small storage shelf sections 46, 47 do not have doors, even if a chair is placed on the dining room 15 side, stored items can be taken out without moving the chair.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the drawer 32 is provided below the large storage shelf section 45. As described above, the drawer 32 can be pulled out toward the aisle 13.

Referring further to FIG. 6, the drawer 32 is located in a space surrounded by the front panel 31, the back panel 26, the partition panel 25, the shelf panel 44, and the bottom panel 40. The drawer 32 is, for example, configured in two stages, upper and lower. Specifically, the drawer 32 is mainly configured with a third side panel 33, a rear wall 34 facing the third side panel 33, two stages of shelf panels 36 connecting the third side panel 33 and the rear wall 34, and a pair of side walls 35 provided on the shelf panels 36. The drawer 32 is attached to the front panel 31 and the back panel 26 so as to be slidable in the left-right direction. In this embodiment, for example, the side wall 35 is provided with a groove portion (not shown) extending to both ends along the left-right direction, and the front panel 31 and the back panel 26 are provided with a rail portion 39 extending to both ends along the left-right direction. The rail portion 39 fits into the groove of the side wall 35, allowing the drawer 32 to slide toward the passage 13.

This allows the drawer 32 to store items used in both the kitchen 14 and the dining room 15. For example, the drawer 32 may store items used in the kitchen 14 and dining room 15, such as cooking utensils such as hot plates and trays, seasonings, etc., or it may serve as a trash can for the kitchen 14 and dining room 15. The drawer 32 may also store disaster prevention goods, plastic bottles, and other emergency supplies that do not need to be used all the time in the kitchen 14 and dining room 15 but that should be stored in a position where they can be easily accessed in case of an emergency. When the drawer 32 is pulled out, it protrudes into the aisle 13, but there are few obstacles in the aisle 13, making it easy to use as there are few obstacles when pulling out the drawer 32.

The base portion 22 of the kitchen counter 2 also includes a side panel 41 that covers the second side portion 5d of the stove-sink unit 5 on the aisle 13 side. The side panel 41 extends from the first side panel 23 of the base portion 22. The height of the side panel 41 is the same as the height of the base portion 22 of the side panel 41. Since a sink 52 is provided on the second side portion 5d of the stove-sink unit 5, the provision of the side panel 41 can prevent water from splashing from the sink 52.

In the above embodiment, the stove-and-sink unit 5 is described as a counter with a passageway 13 provided with the first side 5c in contact with the first wall 11 and the second side 5d not in contact with the second wall 12, but it may be an island-style kitchen counter that is not in contact with a wall.

In addition, in the above embodiment, the drawer 32 is provided on the kitchen counter 2, but if a kitchen counter 2 is not provided, it is sufficient if the drawer can be pulled out from, for example, the second side 5d (FIG. 1) of the stove-sink unit 5 toward the aisle 13.

In addition, in the above embodiment, the drawer 32 is configured to be slidable by fitting the rail portion 39 into the groove portion of the side wall 35, but this is not limited to a configuration, and for example, the bottom panel 40 may be made of a slippery material, or the drawer may be pulled out using casters.

In addition, in the above embodiment, the base portion 22 of the kitchen counter 2 has a storage shelf 49 on the dining area 15 side, but the base portion 22 may simply be a board without the storage shelf 49.

In the above embodiment, the storage section is described as having a kitchen counter 2 and being provided between the kitchen 14 and the dining room 15, but is not limited to such a configuration. In the following embodiments, other configuration examples of the storage structure 1 will be described. Only the differences from embodiment 1 will be described in detail below.

(Embodiment 2)

Referring to FIG. 8, the storage structure 1A of this embodiment includes a kitchen 14a, a dining room 15a, a washroom 16, and a bathroom 17. The kitchen 14a and the washroom 16 are located between the first wall 11a and the second wall 12a. The bathroom 17 is located between the first wall 11a, the second wall 12a, and the third wall 10. The kitchen 14a is adjacent to the washroom 16, and the washroom 16 is adjacent to the bathroom 17. The kitchen 14a and the washroom 16 are connected by a passage 13a. For example, a cupboard (storage section) 2a is provided between the kitchen 14a and the washroom 16. A drawer 32a that can be pulled out into the passage 13a is provided on the side of the cupboard 2a that contacts the passage 13a.

As a result, the drawer 32a in this embodiment can store items used in both the kitchen 14a and the bathroom 16, such as dishes, laundry detergent, towels, etc.

(Embodiment 3)
FIG. 9 is a floor plan showing a storage structure 1B according to the third embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 9, the storage structure 1B of this embodiment includes a first room 18 and a second room 19 adjacent to the first room 18. The first room 18 and the second room 19 were originally one large room, such as a child's room, but were divided into two rooms by furniture (storage section) 2b to accommodate the child's growth. The first room 18 and the second room 19 are connected by a passage 13b. Furniture 2b is provided between the first room 18 and the second room 19. A drawer 32b that can be pulled out into the passage 13b is provided on the side of the furniture 2b that contacts the passage 13b.

As a result, in this embodiment, drawer 32b can store items that can be shared between the first living room 18 and the second living room 19, such as clothes, towels and other daily necessities, books, stationery, etc. that can be shared between siblings.

(Embodiment 4)
FIG. 10 is a floor plan showing a storage structure 1C according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 10, the storage structure 1 of this embodiment includes a kitchen 14c and a living/dining room 15c. The kitchen 14c is located between the first wall 11c, the second wall 12c, and the third wall 10c. The kitchen 14c is adjacent to the living/dining room 15c. The stove-top sink 5 of the kitchen 14c is adjacent to the first wall 11c. The kitchen 14c and the living/dining room 15c are connected by a passage 13c. A kitchen counter (storage section) 2c is provided between the kitchen 14c and the living/dining room 15c. The kitchen counter 2c is adjacent to the short side of the stove-top sink 5 on the living/dining room 15c side. This storage section 2c can be pulled out into the passage 13c connecting the kitchen 14c and the living/dining room 15c.

As a result, similar to the first embodiment described above, the drawer 32c in this embodiment can store items that are shared between the kitchen 14c and the living/dining room 15c.

Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above with reference to the drawings, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. Various modifications and variations can be made to the illustrated embodiment within the same scope as the present invention or within an equivalent scope.
