また、仮に異物が噛み込んで停止したとしても、その場合は他方の回転支持盤5bを手で摘んで研磨ロール2,3,4の傾斜捩じれ状態を元に戻し、図8に示したような垂直な状態にしてやれば、遊技球通路11は広くなり研磨ロール2,3,4の間隔も広がるので、手作業で異物を簡単に取り除くことができる。従って、実施形態2の遊技球研磨装置でも小型化が可能でメンテナンスも容易となり遊技球封入式遊技機に設けるのに適したものとなる。

また、研磨ロール2,3,4の軸状の先端部9a,9b、及び、軸受孔5dの底面部には、円弧面、または、球面が形成されているのが望ましい。円弧面、または、球面が形成されることによって、遊技球通路11を通過する遊技球pに対して滑らかな揺動動作や円周方向に傾斜が可能となる。
また、これらの実施形態では、3本の円柱形の研磨ロール2,3,4を設けたが、本発明では4本以上の研磨ロールを配設して遊技球通路11が形成されるようにしてもよい。
また、これらの実施形態では、3本の研磨ロール2,3,4が電気的駆動源6により回転駆動されるようにしたが、3本全てを回転駆動しなくても、少なくとも1本或いは2本の研磨ロールを回転駆動するようにし、その他の研磨ロールは回転支持盤に回転自在に支持するだけの構成にすることもできる、要するに研磨ロールを回転駆動する伝動機構についても、この実施形態に示した構成以外に種々の改変が可能である。
また、以上の実施形態1,2では3本の円柱形の研磨ロール2,3,4によって囲まれるように遊技球通路11を形成したが、1本の円柱形の研磨ロールの一側と相対するように例えば樋形状の壁とにより遊技球通路を形成し、該遊技球通路を通過する遊技球を該研磨ロールに接触させることで遊技球が研磨されるようにしてもよい。また、上記壁については、樋形状の壁を例として挙げたが、研磨ロールと同様に円柱形の壁とすることで遊技球との接触による抵抗を低減することができる。いずれにしても、ここでいう壁とは、回転ができない状態で回転支持盤に一体又は別体で支持されており、研磨ロールとともに遊技球通路を形成するものをいう。ただし、上記実施形態1,2に示したように、3本以上の研磨ロールにより囲まれるように遊技球通路を形成することによっては、該遊技球通路を通過する遊技球が多方向から同時に複数の研磨ロールと接触するようになるので研磨効率が向上し、該遊技球は一層ムラなく研磨できるようになる。

前記回転支持盤は前記研磨ロールを該遊技球通路に向けて揺動可能に支持し、前記遊技球通路に遊技球を通すことで該遊技球が前記研磨ロールに接触し研磨されるようにしたことを特徴とする遊技球研磨装置。
