Description

The present invention relates to a folding wallet that has a base and a flap portion connected to the base, and is folded at the boundary between the base and the flap portion.

Conventionally, folding wallets that have a coin storage section for storing coins and a card storage section for storing cards and that can be folded at the boundary between the base and the flap section are known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In recent years, more and more people own a large number of cards, such as credit cards and point cards, and as a result, there is a demand for wallets that can store a large number of cards. There is also a demand for storing a large number of coins in the coin storage section.

However, the folding wallet described in Patent Document 1 has only one card storage section, so it can only store a small number of cards. Also, because the coin storage section is small and thin, there is a problem that only a few coins can be stored. In response to this, if the number of card storage sections is increased and a large number of coins can be stored in the coin storage section, problems arise such as the folding wallet being thick and bulky in the folded state where it is folded at the boundary between the base and the flap section, making it difficult to put in a pocket, or taking up a large amount of space in a bag when placed in the bag. Also, if the folding wallet is too thick, it can look unsightly.

In view of the above, the present invention aims to provide a folding wallet that is not bulky when folded, even though it has a coin storage section capable of storing a large number of coins and multiple card storage sections.

The folding wallet of the present invention, which solves the above-mentioned problems, has a base and a flap portion connected to the base, and is folded at the boundary between the base and the flap portion,

This folding wallet has the first card storage section and the second card storage section, and even if the coin storage section is capable of storing a large number of coins, the first card storage section and the second card storage section overlap in the folded state, and the first card storage section and the second card storage section are positioned so as not to overlap the coin storage section in the thickness direction, preventing the folding wallet from becoming thick and bulky.

In this folding wallet, the first card storage section and the second card storage section may be arranged side by side in the face direction in a position adjacent to the coin storage section in the folded state.

This aspect allows the dimensions of the folding wallet in the folded state to be reduced in the planar direction.

The following describes an embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, a bi-fold wallet will be used as an example.

Figure 1(a) is a plan view showing a folded wallet corresponding to one embodiment of the present invention in an unfolded state, and (b) is a front view of the folded wallet shown in (a). Note that in the drawings of this embodiment, the sewing threads that sew each part together are not shown. Also, in the drawings of this embodiment, the thickness of each part is exaggerated.

As shown in FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), the folding wallet 1 of this embodiment has a base 2 and a flap portion 3. In FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), the right half is the base 2, and the left half is the flap portion 3. In FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), the folded wallet 1 is shown in an expanded state with the flap portion 3 open to the base 2. Note that, among the members described below, those for which the material is not described are made of leather, synthetic leather, or cloth. The base 2 and the flap portion 3 are continuous, and the folding wallet 1 can be folded by folding at the first fold 1a between them. This first fold 1a corresponds to an example of a boundary. In FIG. 1(b), the first fold 1a is shown by a long dashed line. As shown in FIG. 1(a), the folding wallet 1 has a bill storage portion 10 that can store bills inside, which is formed across the base 2 and the flap portion 3. The banknote storage section 10 is in the shape of a bag formed by an inner sheet material 10a that is on the inside when the flap section 3 is folded over the base section 2, and an outer sheet material 10b that is on the outside. Hereinafter, the upper side in FIG. 1(a) may be referred to as the outside, and the lower side as the inside.

The base 2 is provided with a coin storage section 21 and a first card storage section 22. The coin storage section 21 and the first card storage section 22 are sewn to the inner sheet material 10a. The coin storage section 21 is for storing a large number of coins, and is shown in a closed state in Figs. 1(a) and 1(b). The coin storage section 21 has four side walls 211 and a magnetic hook 212 for maintaining the closed state. This coin storage section 21 has a so-called box-type structure in which the four side walls 211 stand up when opened. The open state of the coin storage section 21 will be described later.

As shown in FIG. 1(a), the first card storage section 22 includes a first bag body 221, five first partition members 222, and a first connecting member 223. The first bag body 221 corresponds to an example of a bag body, the first partition members 222 correspond to an example of a partition member, and the first connecting member 223 corresponds to an example of a connecting member. The first bag body 221 forms a first storage space S1 capable of storing a card C (see FIG. 5). The number of first partition members 222 may be any number as long as it is two or more. The first card storage section 22 is thinner (height in the vertical direction in FIG. 1(a)) than the coin storage section 21. The outer surface of the inner peripheral surface of the first bag body 221 is formed by the inner surface of the inner sheet material 10a. The first partition members 222 are overlapped in the thickness direction to divide the first storage space S1. A card C is inserted between each of the first partition members 222. Hereinafter, the upper side in FIG. 1(b) may be simply referred to as the upper side, and the lower side in FIG. 1(b) may be simply referred to as the lower side. The upper portion of the first partition member 222 can be pulled out from the first storage space S1. In FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), a state in which all of the first partition members 222 are stored in the first storage space S1 is shown. The first connecting member 223 connects each of the first partition members 222. In FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), only the upper end portion of the first connecting member 223 is shown. The state in which the upper portion of the first partition member 222 is pulled out from the first storage space S1 and the configuration of the first connecting member 223 will be described later.

The flap portion 3 is provided with a rubber band 31, a second card storage section 32, and a folded connection section 33. The rubber band 31 and the folded connection section 33 are sewn to the inner sheet material 10a. The rubber band 31 is for holding cards, bills, etc. by sandwiching them between the inner surface of the inner sheet material 10a. This rubber band 31 corresponds to an example of an additional storage section. In the state shown in FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), the coin storage section 21, the first card storage section 22, the second card storage section 32, and the rubber band 31 are arranged in this order on the inner surface of the folding wallet 1. In this arrangement, the weight of the folding wallet 1 is prevented from being biased to one part in the longitudinal direction. This improves the weight balance in the longitudinal direction of the folding wallet 1, making it easier to stabilize the folding wallet 1 when held in the hand, and thus reduces the risk of dropping the folding wallet 1.

As shown in FIG. 1(a), the second card storage section 32 includes a second bag body 321, five second partition members 322, a second connecting member 323, and a pull tab 325. The second bag body 321 corresponds to an example of a bag body, the second partition members 322 corresponds to an example of a partition member, and the second connecting member 323 corresponds to an example of a connecting member. The second card storage section 32 is thinner than the coin storage section 21. The back sheet material 321a constituting the outer surface of the second bag body 321 is made of a separate material from the inner sheet material 10a. This back sheet material 321a is continuous with the folded connection section 33. The first card storage section 22 and the second card storage section 32 have the same configuration except for the presence or absence of the back sheet material 321a and the presence or absence of the pull tab 325. That is, the second bag body 321, the second partition member 322, and the second connecting member 323 have the same configuration as the first bag body 221, the first partition member 222, and the first connecting member 223, respectively. Therefore, in the following description, the description of the second bag body 321, the second partition member 322, and the second connecting member 323 may be omitted. The second bag body 321 forms a second storage space S2 capable of storing a card C (see FIG. 5). The pull tab 325 is attached to the inner surface of the second bag body 321. By pinching the pull tab 325 with fingers and pulling it to the right in FIG. 1B, the second card storage section 32 overlaps with the first card storage section 22 and the rubber band 31 in the thickness direction, and the flap section 3 is folded at the first fold 1a and overlaps with the base section 2. However, the flap section 3 may be folded onto the base section 2 by slightly lifting the second card storage section 32 with fingers or the like without using the pull tab 325. Also, after the second card storage section 32 is in the state shown in FIG. 3 described below, the flap section 3 may be turned downward and the base section 2 may be folded onto it.

The folded connection part 33 is a sheet-like member whose left end in FIG. 1(b) is sewn to the inner sheet material 10a and whose right end is continuous with the back sheet material 321a of the second bag body 321. The folded connection part 33 is configured so that it can be valley-folded at the connection part crease 33a shown by the short dashed line in FIG. 1(b). As shown in FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), when the folded connection part 33 is not folded, the second card storage part 32 and the rubber band 31 are arranged in a line in the surface direction, and the rubber band 31 is exposed. In this exposed state, cards and the like can be sandwiched in the rubber band 31 and cards and the like sandwiched in the rubber band 31 can be removed. Also, the upper end part of the second connecting member 323 can be pinched to pull out the upper part of the second partition member 322 from the second storage space S2.

Figure 2(a) is a plan view showing the folding wallet shown in Figure 1(a) with the coin storage section open, and Figure 2(b) is a front view of the folding wallet shown in Figure 1(a).

As shown in Figures 2(a) and 2(b), the coin storage section 21 is opened by removing the magnetic hook 212 and lifting the cover 211a inward. The cover 211a is formed by extending the side wall 211 on the right side in Figure 2(a), and one end of the magnetic hook 212 is fixed to this extended portion. When the coin storage section 21 is opened, the four side walls 211 rise up, and a square pillar-shaped coin storage space unfolds. In other words, this coin storage section 21 is box-shaped.

Figure 3(a) is a plan view showing the folding wallet shown in Figure 1(a) with the second card storage section in a different position, and Figure 3(b) is a front view of the folding wallet shown in Figure 1(a).

As shown in FIG. 3(a), when the folding connection part 33 is folded, the second card storage part 32 is arranged in a position overlapping the rubber band 31 in the thickness direction. That is, in the unfolded state in which the flap part 3 is opened with respect to the base part 2, the second card storage part 32 is arranged so that its position can be changed between the position shown in FIG. 3 where it overlaps with the rubber band 31 in the thickness direction and the position shown in FIG. 1 where it is spaced apart from the rubber band 31 and aligned with the rubber band 31 in the surface direction. In the position aligned with the rubber band 31 in the surface direction, the rubber band 31 is exposed, and cards and the like can be sandwiched in the rubber band 31 or cards and the like sandwiched in the rubber band 31 can be removed. The arrangement shown in FIG. 3(a) and FIG. 3(b) is achieved by the user of this folding wallet 1 intentionally folding the second card storage part 32 toward the rubber band 31, and in the normal unfolded state, it is arranged as shown in FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b). That is, when the flap portion 3 is lifted from the folded state shown in FIG. 6 described later with the base portion 2 side facing down to the unfolded state, the second card storage portion 32 is released from the bent connection portion 33 by its own weight, and it automatically slides along the inner surface of the coin storage portion 21 to the position shown in FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b).

Figure 4 is a front view showing the folding wallet shown in Figure 1 (a) with the upper part of the first partition member of the first card storage section pulled out from the first storage space S1, and the upper part of the second partition member of the second card storage section pulled out from the second storage space.

As shown in FIG. 4, a first hook 2231 is fixed to the upper end of the first connecting member 223. A first hole 2211 is formed in the upper end of the first bag body 221. The upper end of the first connecting member 223 is held in the first bag body 221 by inserting the first hook 2231 into the first hole 2211. Similarly, a second hook 3231 is fixed to the upper end of the second connecting member 323. A second hole 3211 is formed in the upper end of the second bag body 321. The upper end of the second connecting member 323 is held in the second bag body 321 by inserting the second hook 3231 into the second hole 3211. 1 to 3 described so far show a state in which the upper end of the first connecting member 223 is held in the first bag body 221 by inserting the first hook 2231 into the first hole portion 2211, and the upper end of the second connecting member 323 is held in the second bag body 321 by inserting the second hook 3231 into the second hole portion 3211. Note that instead of the combination of the first hook 2231 and the first hole portion 2211, a retainer such as a hook may be used to hold the upper end of the first connecting member 223 to the upper end of the first bag body 221. Similarly, the combination of the second hook 3231 and the second hole portion 3211 may be replaced with a retainer such as a hook.

By pulling out the first hook 2231 from the first hole 2211 and pulling the first connecting member 223 upward, the upper portion of each of the first partition members 222 is pulled out from the first storage space S1 (see FIG. 1(a)) as shown in FIG. 4. Of the five first partition members 222, the one at the back of the page in FIG. 4 is pulled out the furthest to the top, and the one at the front is pulled out the least. That is, each of the first partition members 222 is pulled out in a stepped manner while being shifted in the pull-out direction. Similarly, by pulling the second connecting member 323 upward, the upper portion of each of the second partition members 322 is pulled out from the second storage space S2 (see FIG. 1(a)) while being shifted in the pull-out direction. Below, the state before and after pulling up the first connecting member 223 will be described in detail.

Figure 5(a) is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A in Figure 1(b), and Figure 5(b) is a cross-sectional view taken along line B-B in Figure 4.

As shown in FIG. 5(a), when all the first partition members 222 are stored in the first storage space S1, the first partition members 222 are stacked in the thickness direction to divide the first storage space S1. Each first partition member 222 is formed by bonding two very thin pieces of leather together. A space into which a card C can be inserted is formed between each first partition member 222 and between the first partition member 222 located at the rightmost side in FIG. 5(a) and the first bag body 221. When the first partition members 222 are stored in the first storage space S1, the card C inserted between each first partition member 222 or between the first partition member 222 and the first bag body 221 is stored in the first storage space S1 in an orderly manner in parallel with the first partition members 222. The lower end portions of each first partition member 222 are connected by the first connecting member 223 by being sewn to the first connecting member 223. When each of the first partition members 222 is stored in the first storage space S1, the lower portion of the first connecting member 223 is folded between each of the first partition members 222. The upper portion of the first connecting member 223 crosses the first bag body 221 in the thickness direction. The upper end of the first connecting member 223 is held in the first bag body 221 by inserting a first hook 2231 provided at the upper end of the first connecting member 223 into a first hole portion 2211 (see FIG. 4) provided in the first bag body 221. As a result, the upper portion of the first connecting member 223 is fixed in a state crossing the first bag body 221 in the thickness direction, and the first partition member 222 and the stored card C are prevented from jumping out of the first storage space S1 to the upper side. The first partition member 222 may be made of a material other than leather, such as resin, and the first connecting member 223 may be fixed to the lower end of the first partition member 222 by adhesion, welding, or the like.

As shown in FIG. 5B, by lifting the upper end of the first connecting member 223 on which the first hook 2231 is provided, the folding is released and the lower part of the first connecting member 223 is extended. As a result, the upper parts of the first partition members 222 are pulled out in order from the first storage space S1, and change from a state in which they are neatly arranged and stacked in the thickness direction to a state in which they are shifted in the pull-out direction. At this time, the upper parts of the cards C inserted between the first partition members 222 or between the first partition member 222 and the first bag body 221 are also shifted in the pull-out direction together with the first partition members 222 and exposed, making it easy to identify the type of each card C at a glance. As described above, the second bag body 321, the second partition member 322, and the second connecting member 323 have the same configuration and function as the first bag body 221, the first partition member 222, and the first connecting member 223, so a description thereof will be omitted.

Figure 6 is a plan view showing the folded state of the folding wallet shown in Figure 1 (a).

As described above, the folding wallet 1 is folded as shown in FIG. 6 by pinching the pull tab 325 with the fingers and pulling it to the right in FIG. 1(b) or by folding the flap portion 3 from the state shown in FIG. 3 relative to the base portion 2. As shown in FIG. 6, in the folded state, the first card storage portion 22, the second card storage portion 32, and the rubber band 31 are stacked and overlapped in the thickness direction, and the overlapping first card storage portion 22, the second card storage portion 32, and the rubber band 31 are arranged side by side in the surface direction at a position adjacent to the coin storage portion 21. In other words, the overlapping first card storage portion 22, the second card storage portion 32, and the rubber band 31 are arranged at a position that does not overlap the coin storage portion 21 in the thickness direction.

According to the folding wallet 1 of this embodiment, even if it has the coin storage section 21, the first card storage section 22, the second card storage section 32, and the rubber band 31, which can store a large number of coins, it is possible to prevent the folding wallet 1 from becoming thick and bulky in the folded state. In addition, when the folding wallet 1 is folded, the overlapping first card storage section 22 and the like are arranged side by side with the coin storage section 21 in the face direction, so that the dimensions in the face direction are also prevented from becoming bulky. In addition, since it has the rubber band 31 in addition to the first card storage section 22 and the second card storage section 32, it is possible to provide the folding wallet 1 with a high storage capacity. Furthermore, by changing the position of the second card storage section 32 in the unfolded state, the rubber band 31 is exposed, so that cards and the like can be easily sandwiched in the rubber band 31, and cards and the like sandwiched in the rubber band 31 can be easily removed.

Next, the folding wallet 1 of the second embodiment will be described. In the following description, components with the same names as those previously described will be assigned the same reference numerals, and duplicate descriptions may be omitted.

Figure 7 is a front view similar to Figure 1(b) showing the folding wallet of the second embodiment in an unfolded state.

The folding wallet 1 shown in FIG. 7 is different from the folding wallet 1 shown in the previous embodiment in that it is a long wallet. This folding wallet 1 has each component attached to a sheet-like wallet base 11 as a base. A first fold 1a and a second fold 1b are formed in the wallet base 11. As shown in FIG. 7, the folding wallet 1 of the second embodiment is divided into a base 2 and a flap 3 by the first fold 1a, and into a flap 3 and a fold-back portion 4 by the second fold 1b. FIG. 7 shows the expanded state in which the flap 3 is opened relative to the base 2. The folding wallet 1 can be folded by folding either the flap 3 or the base 2 to the other side at the first fold 1a. The fold-back portion 4 can be folded toward the flap 3 side at the second fold 1b.

The base 2 is provided with a coin storage section 21, a first card storage section 22, a pen holding section 23, a second card storage section 32, and a folded connection section 33. The pen holding section 23 is in the form of a sheet with its upper and lower ends sewn to the wallet base 11 in FIG. 7 and its middle section spaced apart from the wallet base 11. A clip formed on a pen P, such as a ballpoint pen, can be hooked onto the spaced apart section to hold the pen P.

The folded connection portion 33 is continuous with the first bag body 221 that constitutes the first card storage section 22, and is configured to be able to be valley-folded at the connection crease 33a indicated by the short dashed line. Also, unlike the previous embodiment, the folded connection portion 33 is not sewn to the wallet base body 11. As shown in FIG. 7, when the folded connection portion 33 is not folded, the second card storage section 32 and the first card storage section 22 are arranged side by side in the planar direction, and the first card storage section 22 is exposed. In this exposed state, both the first connecting member 223 and the second connecting member 323 can be grasped with the fingers and pulled up.

The flap portion 3 is provided with a multi-storage section 34. This multi-storage section 34 corresponds to an example of an additional storage section. The multi-storage section 34 is in the form of a sheet with its lower and right sides sewn to the wallet base 11 in FIG. 7. The upper and left sides of the multi-storage section 34 are not sewn to the wallet base 11, and bills and the like can be inserted from the upper or left side to store bills and the like in the multi-storage section 34. In addition, a first pocket 341 and a second pocket 342 are provided on the inner side of the multi-storage section 34. The first pocket 341 and the second pocket 342 are in the form of a bag with only the left side open in FIG. 7. Cards, receipts, and the like can be stored inside the first pocket 341 and the second pocket 342.

The folded portion 4 is a portion that prevents the folding wallet 1 from unintentionally opening up. When the folded portion 4 is folded up at the first crease 1a, it can be folded up at the second crease 1b, so that the folded portion 4 wraps around the back surface of the base 2 and prevents the folding up from opening up. The folded portion 4 is provided with a magnetic convex sealing hook 41. The back surface of the base 2 is provided with an iron concave sealing hook 24 (see FIG. 10). The concave sealing hook 24 and the convex sealing hook 41 are attached to each other by magnetic force, preventing the folded portion 4 from opening up, and thus preventing the flap portion 3 from opening up relative to the base 2.

Figure 8 is a front view showing the folding wallet shown in Figure 7 with the second card storage section in a different position.

Then, at the position where it overlaps with the first card storage portion 22 in the thickness direction, the insertion opening of the multi-storage portion 34 is exposed. This allows bills and the like to be inserted into the multi-storage portion 34 and bills and the like stored in the multi-storage portion 34 to be removed. In addition, at that position, the storage opening of the second pocket 342 is also exposed, so cards, receipts, and the like can be stored in the second pocket 342 and cards, receipts, and the like stored in the second pocket 342 can be removed.

Figure 9 is a front view showing the folded state of the folding wallet shown in Figure 7.

As shown by the hollow arrow in Figure 8, the folding wallet 1 is folded as shown in Figure 9 by folding the flap portion 3 against the base portion 2. Figure 9 shows the folded portion 4 in an open state. As shown by the hollow arrow in Figure 9, by folding the folded portion 4 from this state by wrapping it around from the bottom side in Figure 9, the convex sealing hook 41 attaches to the concave sealing hook 24 (see Figure 10) of the base portion 2.

Figure 10 is a view taken along the arrow D in Figure 9. In Figure 10, the pen holder 23 shown in Figure 7 is omitted. In Figure 10, the thickness of each part is exaggerated.

As shown in FIG. 10, in the folded state, the first card storage section 22 and the second card storage section 32 overlap in the thickness direction, and the overlapping first card storage section 22 and second card storage section 32 are arranged side by side in the surface direction at a position adjacent to the coin storage section 21. In other words, the overlapping first card storage section 22 and second card storage section 32 are arranged at a position that does not overlap with the coin storage section 21 in the thickness direction. Also, in this second embodiment, the multi-storage section 34 overlaps with the first card storage section 22 and the second card storage section 32 in the thickness direction, and further overlaps with the coin storage section 21 in the thickness direction.

The folding wallet 1 of this second embodiment also achieves the same effects as the previous embodiment. In addition, by changing the position of the second card storage section 32 in the unfolded state, the multi-storage section 34 and the second pocket 342 are exposed, making it easy to store bills and the like, and easy to remove bills and the like from the multi-storage section 34 and the second pocket 342.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the claims. For example, in the previous embodiment, the rubber band 31 is provided, but instead of the rubber band 31, a card storage section with a reduced number of cards that has the same configuration as the first card storage section 22 or a pocket with a limited number of cards that can be stored may be provided. By limiting the number of cards that can be stored in this card storage section or pocket and reducing the thickness of that portion, it is possible to prevent the folding wallet 1 from becoming thick and bulky in the folded state shown in FIG. 6. In addition, in the folded state, other members may be disposed between the overlapping first card storage section 22 and second card storage section 32 and the coin storage section 21. In addition, the folding wallet 1 shown in FIG. 1 may be configured to have a portion similar to the fold-back portion 4 shown in FIG. 7 so as to prevent the folding wallet 1 from unintentionally becoming unfolded.

The above-described embodiment and modified examples provide a folding wallet 1 that is not bulky when folded, even though it has a coin storage section 21 capable of storing a large number of coins, a first card storage section 22, and a second card storage section 32.

Claims (4)

A folding wallet having a base and a flap connected to the base, which is folded at the boundary between the base and the flap,
A coin storage compartment,
A first card storage section;
a second card storage section;
the second card storage section is provided so that its position can be changed in an expanded state in which the flap section is opened relative to the base section,
In a folded state where the wallet is folded at the border, the first card storage section and the second card storage section overlap in the thickness direction, and the overlapping first card storage section and second card storage section are positioned so as not to overlap with the coin storage section in the thickness direction. The folding wallet according to claim 1, characterized in that, in the folded state, the first card storage section and the second card storage section are arranged side by side in the face direction at positions adjacent to the coin storage section. At least one of the first card storage section and the second card storage section includes a bag body that forms a storage space capable of accommodating a card, a plurality of partition members that are stacked in a thickness direction to divide the storage space and have upper portions that can be pulled out from the storage space, and a connecting member that connects lower portions of the plurality of partition members,
the connecting member is folded between each of the partition members when the partition members are overlapped within the storage space,

The folding wallet according to claim 1 or 2, wherein when an upper portion of said plurality of partition members is pulled out from said storage space, said connecting member is unfolded and stretched, so that said plurality of partition members change from an overlapping state to a state shifted in the direction of pulling out. The flap portion further includes an additional storage portion.
4. The folding wallet according to claim 1, wherein the second card storage section is arranged so that its position can be changed between a position overlapping the additional storage section and a position spaced apart from the additional storage section so that the additional storage section is exposed in the unfolded state.
