Description

The present invention relates to a handrail with built-in lighting.

Conventionally, handrails installed in passageways and the like have lights built into the top rails onto which people can hang, as shown in Patent Document 1. Such handrails eliminate the need for separate lighting fixtures, ensure safety by illuminating the feet of passersby, and also provide a dramatic effect through the illumination of light.

The handrail in Patent Document 1 has lighting fixtures that emit light directly below (vertically downward), and no other configurations are envisioned. However, depending on the situation of where the handrail is installed, it may be desirable to have lighting fixtures that emit light in a direction that is inclined relative to the vertical direction other than directly below. However, using separate cap rails to accommodate multiple illumination directions would result in high costs.

The present invention was developed in consideration of these circumstances, and aims to provide a handrail with built-in lighting in the headboard that can be used in multiple lighting directions while keeping costs down by using the same components for each lighting direction.

The present invention is characterized in that it comprises a cylindrical coping and a lighting fixture, the coping being a cover material made of a shaped material and a batten material made of a shaped material engaged with each other and fixed with a fixing screw, the batten material having a batten fixing surface portion through which the fixing screw passes, the batten fixing surface portion being located toward one side in the projection direction, the cover material having a cover outer shell portion constituting the outer shape of the coping and a support portion provided inside the cover outer shell portion, the support portion having a cover fixing surface portion into which the fixing screw is screwed and an attachment surface portion to which the lighting fixture is attached, the cover fixing surface portion being parallel to the batten fixing surface portion and located toward one side in the projection direction, and the attachment surface portion being located on the other side of the cover fixing surface portion in the projection direction. Here, the batten fixing surface portion, the cover fixing surface portion and the attachment surface portion are all surfaces that are part of the surface of each member, and may be flat or curved. The members themselves on which these surfaces are formed may have any shape. Furthermore, the cover fixing surface and the batten fixing surface being parallel means that a straight line intersects both surfaces at right angles, and the fixing screw is located on that straight line. In addition to the above-mentioned parts, other parts of the support part of the cover material may also serve as the cover fixing surface and the mounting surface. The same part may serve as both the cover fixing surface and the mounting surface, in which case the position where the fixing screw is screwed in and the position where the lighting fixture is attached are shifted in the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the batten fixing surface of the batten material may itself form the outer shape of the coping, or it may be provided inside the part that forms the outer shape of the coping.

The present invention also provides a plurality of types of cover materials that can be selectively attached to the batten material, and each of the cover materials may have a different inclination angle of the attachment surface portion relative to the cover fixing surface portion.

In addition, the present invention may be such that the batten material has a bottom surface portion that is parallel to the batten fixing surface portion, is farther away from the cover fixing surface portion than the batten fixing surface portion, and is located on the other side of the batten fixing surface portion in the projection direction.

According to the present invention, the cover fixing surface of the cover material and the batten fixing surface of the batten are positioned toward one side in the expected direction, and the cover material and batten are fixed to one side with a fixing screw, so that the inclination angle of the mounting surface located on the other side can be freely set. Therefore, by using cover materials with appropriately different inclination angles of the mounting surface, the irradiation direction of the light from the lighting fixture can be changed, and since the batten is common, costs can be reduced. In addition, since the cover fixing surface and the batten fixing surface are always parallel, the cover material and batten can be reliably fixed to each other by screwing or passing a fixing screw perpendicularly into or through both of them.

In addition, if multiple cover materials with different inclination angles of the mounting surface relative to the cover fixing surface are prepared in advance, the direction of the light emitted by the lighting fixture can be easily changed by simply selecting the cover material to be attached.

In addition, if the batten material has a bottom surface portion that is located on the other side and is farther away from the cover fixing surface portion than the batten fixing surface portion, the head of the fixing screw that penetrates the batten fixing surface portion can be accommodated in the step portion formed by the batten fixing surface portion and the bottom surface portion, so that the head of the fixing screw does not protrude on the outer periphery of the coping, and the attachment to the member supporting the coping is excellent.

The specific details of the handrail of the present invention are explained below. Note that, in the following, the front-to-back direction is the direction in which the handrail is projected, and the left-to-right direction is the direction in which the handrail's headboard extends (the longitudinal direction of the headboard).

The handrail of the present invention is installed to assist pedestrians in passageways and the like, and is a member with a coping attached to the upper ends of a number of posts erected on the floor surface. As shown in each figure, this handrail is equipped with two types of cover materials consisting of a cover material for oblique irradiation 1 and a cover material for vertical irradiation 2, a bottom member for oblique irradiation 3, a bottom member for vertical irradiation 4, a support part batten material 5 which is a batten material in the present invention, a lighting fixture 200, and a support 8. The cover material for oblique irradiation 1 and the cover material for vertical irradiation 2 can be alternatively attached to the support part batten material 5, and are fixed to the support part batten material 5 with fixing screws S, and together with the support part batten material 5, form a cylindrical coping 100. However, the support part batten material 5 is attached to the portion of the coping 100 corresponding to the support 8, and in other portions, the bottom member for oblique irradiation 3 is attached to the cover material for oblique irradiation 1, and the bottom member for vertical irradiation 4 is attached to the cover material for vertical irradiation 2. The headboard 100 extends linearly from left to right, and multiple lighting fixtures 200 are installed inside it at intervals from left to right. Additionally, multiple support posts 8 are erected on the floor surface F at intervals from left to right, and the headboard 100 is supported by these support posts 8.

First, we will explain the case where the cover material for oblique irradiation 1 is used. In this case, as shown in Figures 1 to 4, the coping 100 has a hollow structure with a roughly circular cross section, and the cover material for oblique irradiation 1 located on the upper side engages with the support part batten material 5 or the bottom member for oblique irradiation 3 located on the lower side, and is fixed with screws such as the fixing screw S.

The oblique irradiation cover material 1 is made of an extruded aluminum material, and as shown in Figs. 1 to 3, it has a cover outer shell 11 that forms the outer shape of the coping 100, and a plate-shaped first plate 16a and a plate-shaped second plate 17a provided inside the cover outer shell 11, and the cover outer shell 11 and the first plate 16a and the second plate 17a are integrally formed. Since a part of the surface of the first plate 16a and the second plate 17a forms the support portion 12, it can be said that the cover outer shell 11 and the support portion 12 are also integrally formed. More specifically, the cover outer shell 11 has a circular arc shape that is symmetrical from front to back and has a central angle slightly larger than 180 degrees. Engagement portions 18 that protrude inward are formed at the front and rear lower ends of the cover outer shell 11. The first plate portion 16a and the second plate portion 17a, which are two mutually inclined flat plate-like portions, are formed on the inside of the cover outer shell portion 11, and the lower surface of the first plate portion 16a is the first surface portion 16, and the lower surface of the second plate portion 17a is the second surface portion 17. The support portion 12 has a substantially dogleg-shaped cross section consisting of the first surface portion 16 and the second surface portion 17, and is located in the vertical center of the oblique irradiation cover material 1. The first plate portion 16a (first surface portion 16) extends from the inner peripheral surface of the front portion of the cover outer shell portion 11 to a position slightly rearward of the front-rear center of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 in a direction inclined at 17.5 degrees with respect to the rear lower horizontal plane. The second plate portion 17a (second surface portion 17) extends rearward (horizontally) from the rear end of the first plate portion 16a (first surface portion 16) to the inner peripheral surface of the rear portion of the cover outer shell portion 11. The oblique irradiation cover material 1 has a hollow portion 15 surrounded by the upper portion of the cover outer shell portion 11 and the support portion 12 (the first plate portion 16a and the second plate portion 17a).

The support batten material 5 is made of extruded aluminum material, and as shown in Figure 1, has a batten outer shell part 51, a batten fixing plate part 52a, and a bottom plate part 55a, all of which form the outer shape of the coping 100, and the batten outer shell part 51, the batten fixing plate part 52a, and the bottom plate part 55a are formed integrally. Furthermore, a part of the surface of the batten fixing plate part 52a forms the batten fixing surface part 52, and a part of the surface of the bottom plate part 55a forms the bottom surface part 55, so that the batten outer shell part 51, the batten fixing surface part 52, and the bottom surface part 55 can be said to be formed integrally. More specifically, the front and rear sides of the support batten material 5 are the batten outer shell parts 51, and the part between the front and rear batten outer shell parts 51 that is narrower than the rear half is the batten fixing plate part 52a, and the remaining front part is the bottom plate part 55a, and the lower surface of the batten fixing plate part 52a is the batten fixing surface part 52, and the lower surface of the bottom plate part 55a is the bottom surface part 55. The batten fixing plate part 52a and the bottom plate part 55a are both horizontally oriented flat plates, and the bottom plate part 55a is located lower than the batten fixing plate part 52a, and the front end of the batten fixing plate part 52a and the rear end of the bottom plate part 55a are connected by a vertically oriented step part 53. Therefore, the batten fixing surface part 52 and the second surface part 17 of the support part 12 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 are parallel. In addition, the bottom surface part 55 is located lower and forward than the batten fixing surface part 52. The front portion of the batten outer shell part 51 extends from the front end of the bottom plate part 55a toward the front upper side, and the rear portion of the batten outer shell part 51 extends from the rear end of the batten fixing plate part 52a toward the rear upper side, and is an arc shape concentric with the cover outer shell part 11 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1. Engaged parts 54 with a substantially L-shaped cross section are formed at the front and rear upper ends of the batten outer shell part 51. The engaged parts 54 are shaped to protrude inward from the upper end of the batten outer shell part 51, bend, and protrude upward.

The bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation is made of an extruded aluminum material, and as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, it has a bottom outer shell part 31 that forms the outer shape of the capping 100, and a plate-shaped bottom fixing plate part 32a that also forms the outer shape of the capping 100, and the bottom outer shell part 31 and the bottom fixing plate part 32a are integrally formed. Since a part of the surface of the bottom fixing plate part 32a is the bottom fixing surface part 32, it can be said that the bottom outer shell part 31 and the bottom fixing surface part 32 are also integrally formed. More specifically, the central part in the front-to-rear direction of the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation is the bottom fixing plate part 32a, the front and rear both sides of the bottom fixing plate part 32a are the bottom outer shell part 31, and the lower surface of the bottom fixing plate part 32a is the bottom fixing surface part 32. The bottom fixing plate part 32a is a flat plate inclined from the front upper side to the rear lower side, and the inclination angle with respect to the horizontal plane is 17.5 degrees. Therefore, the bottom fixing surface portion 32 and the first surface portion 16 of the support portion 12 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 are parallel. At the front end of the bottom fixing plate portion 32a, a step portion 33 is formed that protrudes downward in a direction perpendicular to the bottom fixing plate portion 32a. The bottom outer shell portion 31 extends from the lower end of the step portion 33 to the front upper side in the front part, and extends from the rear end of the bottom fixing plate portion 32a to the rear upper side in the rear part, and has an arc shape concentric with the cover outer shell portion 11 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1. At the front and rear upper ends of the bottom outer shell portion 31, an engaged portion 34 with a cross section of a substantially L-shape is formed. The engaged portion 34 is shaped to protrude inward from the upper end of the bottom outer shell portion 31 and bend to protrude upward.

The oblique irradiation cover material 1, the support part batten material 5, and the oblique irradiation bottom member 3 configured in this manner are combined to form the coping 100. The oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the support part batten material 5 are combined so that the front and rear engagement parts 18 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 engage with the front and rear engaged parts 54 of the support part batten material 5. At this time, the vertical part of the engaged part 54 of the support part batten material 5 fits inside the engagement part 18 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1, and the cover outer shell part 11 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the batten outer shell part 51 of the support part batten material 5 form a series of circular arcs. Then, as shown in FIG. 4, the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the support part batten material 5 are fixed by fixing screws S at multiple points in the longitudinal direction. At the fixed location, a through hole through which the fixing screw S passes is formed in the batten fixing surface portion 52 (batten fixing plate portion 52a) of the support batten material 5, and a screw hole into which the fixing screw S is screwed is formed in the second surface portion 17 (second plate portion 17a) of the support portion 12 of the cover material for oblique irradiation 1. Thus, here, the second surface portion 17 of the support portion 12 is the cover fixing surface portion 13 into which the fixing screw S is screwed, and the cover fixing surface portion 13 and the batten fixing surface portion 52 are parallel to each other and to the horizontal plane, and both the cover fixing surface portion 13 and the batten fixing surface portion 52 are located toward one side (rear side) in the projection direction. Then, the fixing screw S is inserted from the lower side (the support batten material 5 side) into the through hole of the batten fixing surface portion 52 and screwed into the screw hole of the cover fixing surface portion 13 of the cover material for oblique irradiation 1. In this way, the fixing screw S is located toward the rear of the center of the front-to-rear direction of the coping 100. In addition, since the support batten material 5 has a bottom surface portion 55 that is located on the other side (front side) and farther away from the cover fixing surface portion 13 than the batten fixing surface portion 52, the head of the fixing screw S fits into the step formed by the batten fixing surface portion 52 and the bottom surface portion 55.

The oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the oblique irradiation bottom member 3 are assembled so that the front and rear engaging parts 18 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 engage with the front and rear engaged parts 34 of the oblique irradiation bottom member 3. At this time, the vertical parts of the engaged parts 34 of the oblique irradiation bottom member 3 fit inside the engaging parts 18 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1, and the cover outer shell part 11 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the bottom outer shell part 31 of the oblique irradiation bottom member 3 form a series of circular arcs. Then, as shown in FIG. 3, the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the oblique irradiation bottom member 3 are fixed by fixing screws Sa at multiple points in the longitudinal direction. At the fixed location, a through hole through which the screw Sa passes is formed in the bottom fixing surface portion 32 (bottom fixing plate portion 32a) of the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation, and a screw hole into which the screw Sa screws is formed in the first surface portion 16 (first plate portion 16a) of the support portion 12 of the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation. The screw Sa is inserted from the bottom side (the bottom member 3 side for oblique irradiation) into the through hole of the bottom fixing surface portion 32 and screws into the screw hole of the first surface portion 16.

2 and 4, the lighting fixtures 200 are attached to a predetermined location in the longitudinal direction of the culvert 100. The number of lighting fixtures 200 and the position in the longitudinal direction of the culvert 100 are not limited, but here, they are provided at the midpoint between the two posts 8. The lighting fixtures 200 are LEDs and other necessary circuits housed in a case, with the lower end serving as a light-emitting part and the upper end being fitted with a flat mounting plate 201 extending to the left and right. A power supply cable is connected to the lighting fixtures 200, but this is omitted from the illustration. As shown in FIG. 2, the mounting plate 201 is attached to the first surface 16 of the support 12 from below by screws. Thus, here, the first surface 16 of the support 12 is the mounting surface 14 to which the lighting fixtures 200 are attached, and the mounting surface 14 is inclined with respect to the horizontal plane and is located on the other side (front side) of the cover fixing surface 13.

A rectangular hole that is long from side to side is formed in the part of the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation facing the lighting fixture 200, and a transparent member 202 made of a transparent material is fitted into this hole. The transparent member 202 is a rectangular plate that is just the right size to fit into the hole, and its upper end extends forward and backward, and this extension engages with the edge of the hole. The light emitted from the lighting fixture 200 passes through the transparent member 202 to illuminate the outside.

As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the support 8 is composed of a cylindrical column body 81 erected on the floor surface F, a generally disk-shaped top plate portion 82 that covers the upper end of the column body 81, and a support plate 83 that extends vertically upward from the upper surface of the top plate portion 82. The support plate 83 is a generally flat plate oriented parallel to the left-right direction, and the upper end portion is shaped to slope downward from the center in the left-right direction to both the left and right sides. In addition, a hole penetrating in the front-rear direction is formed in the upper part of the support plate 83.

A column connecting member 9 is attached to the underside of the support batten material 5 of the coping 100. The column connecting member 9 has the same left-right width as the support batten material 5, and has a horizontal rectangular flat base 91 and two hanging pieces 92 extending vertically downward from the front and rear ends of the base 91. The hanging pieces 92 are approximately triangular when viewed from the front-to-rear direction, and a hole for passing a screw in the front-to-rear direction is formed in the center of the front hanging piece 92, and a female threaded portion into which the screw is screwed is formed in the center of the rear hanging piece 92. The base 91 abuts against the bottom surface 55 of the support batten material 5 from below, and the column connecting member 9 and the support batten material 5 are fixed by passing a screw through a hole formed in the portion between the front and rear hanging pieces 92 and screwing it into the bottom surface 55. The head of the fixing screw S fits between the base 91 and the batten fixing surface 52. At the rear end of the base 91, a standing piece 93 is formed that protrudes toward the rear and upper side, and the upper end of the standing piece 93 abuts against the rear end of the batten fixing surface 52 of the support batten material 5, covering the head of the fixing screw S.

The support plate 83 of the support 8 is sandwiched from the front and back by two hanging pieces 92 of the pillar connecting member 9 attached to the coping 100. At this time, the holes in the support plate 83 communicate with the holes and female threads of the front and rear hanging pieces 92, and a screw is inserted from the front hole and screwed into the female thread to secure it in place. In addition, since the upper end of the support plate 83 is inclined to the left and right, the support plate 83 does not interfere with the pillar connecting member 9 of the coping 100 even when the coping 100 is attached at an angle to the horizontal direction.

As mentioned above, the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation, which is a separate member from the support batten material 5, is attached to the portions of the coping 100 other than the portions corresponding to the supports 8. This makes it possible to remove only the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation between the two supports 8 without removing the coping 100 itself from the supports 8, making maintenance of the lighting fixture 200 easy.

In addition, the power supply cable C for supplying power to the lighting fixture 200 is connected to a power source through the floor surface F, and this power supply cable C extends from the floor surface F to the inside of the cap 100. A power supply cover 400 is provided in this portion to cover and hide the power supply cable C. As shown in Figures 4 and 6 (the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation is shown in a transparent manner), the power supply cover 400 is a tubular member with a substantially rectangular cross section that is erected on the floor surface F with a width substantially the same as that of the support 8. More specifically, the power supply cover 400 has a power supply cover main body 401 with a substantially U-shaped cross section that opens toward the left side, a rectangular flat blocking plate 402 that blocks the left side of the power supply cover main body 401, and a substantially U-shaped lid portion 403 that is attached to the upper end and opens downward when viewed from the left and right direction. The blocking plate 402 is detachable from the power supply cover main body 401. The lid 403 covers the upper ends of the power supply cover main body 401 and the blocking plate 402, and covers the front and rear surfaces of the upper end of the power supply cover main body 401. The front and rear surfaces of the lid 403 are formed with convex parts 404 that protrude outward, and the lower side of the convex parts 404 is formed in an arc shape. The oblique irradiation bottom member 3 is not present at the position of the cap 100 corresponding to the power supply cover 400, and the lid 403 is screwed to the second surface 17 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1. The front and rear lower ends of the cover outer shell part 11 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 abut against the convex part 404 of the lid 403, and the cover outer shell part 11 and the lower arc-shaped part of the convex part 404 form a series of arcs. The power supply cable C extends from the floor surface F through the inside of the power supply cover 400 to the inside of the cap 100.

In addition, when the length of the capping 100 is equal to or longer than a predetermined length, the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the oblique irradiation bottom member 3 are connected. As shown in FIG. 7, in the connecting portion, the connecting material 7 is inserted inside the capping 100, and the joint material 71 is attached to the outer periphery of the capping 100. The connecting material 7 is made of an aluminum hollow extruded material, and is shaped to fit exactly into the inner periphery of the capping 100. That is, the cross section is approximately rectangular, and the upper surface has an inclined surface portion 72 formed in the middle portion such that the front side is higher, and this inclined surface portion 72 abuts against the first surface portion 16 of the oblique irradiation cover material 1, and the rear portion of the inclined surface portion 72 of the upper surface abuts against the second surface portion 17. Both the front and rear surfaces abut against the inner surface of the engaged portion 34 of the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation. The underside has an inclined surface 73 formed on the front part with the front side higher, and this inclined surface 73 abuts against the upper surface of the bottom fixing plate part 32a of the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation and is screwed in place. The lower rear corner has an outwardly convex curved surface 74 formed thereon, and this curved surface 74 abuts against the inner surface of the bottom outer shell part 31 of the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation. The joint material 71 is a cylindrical member, and the coping 100 fits exactly into its inner periphery, covering and concealing the connection between the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation and the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation. The joint material 71 is screwed to the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation from below.

Next, we will explain the case where the vertical irradiation cover material 2 is used. In this case, as shown in Figures 8 to 11, the coping 100 has a hollow structure with a roughly circular cross section, and the vertical irradiation cover material 2 located on the upper side engages with the support part batten material 5 or vertical irradiation bottom member 4 located on the lower side, and is fixed with screws such as the fixing screw S.

The vertical irradiation cover material 2 is made of an aluminum extrusion, and as shown in Figs. 8 to 10, it has a cover outer shell 21 that forms the outer shape of the coping 100, and a plate-shaped cover plate 22a provided inside the cover outer shell 21, and the cover outer shell 21 and the cover plate 22a are integrally formed. Since a part of the surface of the cover plate 22a is the support part 22, it can be said that the cover outer shell 11 and the support part 22 are also integrally formed. More specifically, the cover outer shell 21 is a circular arc shape that is symmetrical from front to back and has a central angle slightly larger than 180 degrees. The front and rear lower ends of the cover outer shell 21 are formed with engagement parts 28 that protrude inward. The cover plate 22a is a horizontally oriented flat plate, and the lower surface of the cover plate 22a is the support part 22. The cover plate 22a (support portion 22) extends from the inner peripheral surface of the front portion of the cover outer shell portion 21 to the inner peripheral surface of the rear portion, and is located in the vertical center of the vertical irradiation cover material 2. The vertical irradiation cover material 2 has a hollow portion 25 surrounded by the upper portion of the cover outer shell portion 21 and the support portion 22 (cover plate portion 22a).

The bottom member 4 for vertical irradiation is made of an extruded aluminum material, and as shown in Figs. 9 and 10, it has a bottom outer shell part 41 that forms the outer shape of the capping 100, and a plate-shaped bottom fixing plate part 42a that also forms the outer shape of the capping 100, and the bottom outer shell part 41 and the bottom fixing plate part 42a are integrally formed. Since a part of the surface of the bottom fixing plate part 42a is the bottom fixing surface part 42, it can be said that the bottom outer shell part 41 and the bottom fixing surface part 42 are also integrally formed. More specifically, the central part in the front-rear direction of the bottom member 4 for vertical irradiation is the bottom fixing plate part 42a, the front and rear both sides of the bottom fixing plate part 42a are the bottom outer shell part 41, and the lower surface of the bottom fixing plate part 42a is the bottom fixing surface part 42. The bottom fixing plate part 42a is a flat plate shaped member oriented horizontally. Therefore, the bottom fixing surface part 42 and the support part 22 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2 are parallel to each other. The bottom outer shell part 41 extends from the front end of the bottom fixing plate part 42a to the front upper side in the front part, and from the rear end of the bottom fixing plate part 42a to the rear upper side in the rear part, and is an arc shape concentric with the cover outer shell part 21 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2. However, the vertical position of the bottom fixing plate part 42a is slightly higher than the lower end of the bottom outer shell part 41. Therefore, a groove part 45 is formed on the lower surface of the bottom member 4 for vertical irradiation, which opens downward with the bottom fixing surface part 42 as the bottom surface and extends along the longitudinal direction of the bottom member 4 for vertical irradiation. Then, an engaged part 44 with a cross section of a substantially L-shape is formed at the front and rear upper ends of the bottom outer shell part 41. The engaged part 44 is shaped to protrude inward from the upper end of the bottom outer shell part 41, bend, and protrude upward.

The vertical irradiation cover material 2, the support part batten material 5, and the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 configured in this manner are combined to form the coping 100. The vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the support part batten material 5 are combined so that the front and rear engagement parts 28 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2 engage with the front and rear engaged parts 54 of the support part batten material 5, as shown in FIG. 8. At this time, the vertical part of the engaged part 54 of the support part batten material 5 fits inside the engagement part 28 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2, and the cover outer shell part 21 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the batten outer shell part 51 of the support part batten material 5 form a series of circular arcs. Then, as shown in FIG. 11, the vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the support part batten material 5 are fixed by fixing screws S at multiple points in the longitudinal direction. At the fixing location, a through hole through which the fixing screw S penetrates is formed in the batten fixing surface portion 52 (batten fixing plate portion 52a) of the support part batten material 5, and a screw hole into which the fixing screw S is screwed is formed in the rear part of the support part 22 (cover plate portion 22a) of the vertical irradiation cover material 2. Therefore, here, the rear part of the support part 22 is the cover fixing surface portion 23 into which the fixing screw S is screwed, and the cover fixing surface portion 23 and the batten fixing surface portion 52 are parallel to each other and to the horizontal plane, and both the cover fixing surface portion 23 and the batten fixing surface portion 52 are located toward one side (rear side) in the prospective direction. Then, the fixing screw S is inserted into the through hole of the batten fixing surface portion 52 from the lower side (the support part batten material 5 side) and screwed into the screw hole of the cover fixing surface portion 23 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2. In this way, the fixing screw S is located toward the rear side from the center of the front-rear direction of the coping 100. In addition, the support batten material 5 has a bottom surface 55 that is located on the other side (front side) and farther away from the cover fixing surface 23 than the batten fixing surface 52, so the head of the fixing screw S fits into the step formed by the batten fixing surface 52 and the bottom surface 55.

As shown in FIG. 10, the vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 are combined so that the front and rear engaging parts 28 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2 engage with the front and rear engaged parts 44 of the vertical irradiation bottom member 4. At this time, the vertical part of the engaged part 44 of the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 fits inside the engaging part 28 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2, and the cover outer shell part 21 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the bottom outer shell part 41 of the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 form a series of arcs. As shown in FIG. 11, the vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 are fixed by fixing screws Sa at multiple points in the longitudinal direction. At the fixed points, a through hole through which the screw Sa passes is formed in the bottom fixing surface part 42 (bottom fixing plate part 42a) of the vertical irradiation bottom member 4, and a screw hole into which the screw Sa is screwed is formed in the support part 22 (cover plate part 22a) of the vertical irradiation cover material 2. Then, the screw Sa is inserted from the bottom (the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 side) into the through hole of the bottom fixing surface part 42 and screwed into the screw hole of the support part 22.

As shown in FIG. 11, the lighting fixture 200 is attached to a predetermined location in the longitudinal direction of the top board 100. As shown in FIG. 9, the lighting fixture 200 is attached to the center of the support part 22 in the front-to-rear direction by screwing a mounting plate 201 from below. Thus, the center of the support part 22 in the front-to-rear direction serves as the mounting surface 24 to which the lighting fixture 200 is attached, and the mounting surface 24 is parallel to the horizontal plane, is at the same height as the cover fixing surface 23, and is located on the other side (front side) of the cover fixing surface 23.

A rectangular hole that is long from side to side is formed in the part of the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 facing the lighting fixture 200. The front-to-back width of the hole is narrower than the groove portion 45, and a transparent member 202 made of a transparent material is fitted into the groove portion 45 to cover the hole. The transparent member 202 is a rectangular plate that fits just inside the groove portion 45 and is large enough to cover the hole. The light emitted from the lighting fixture 200 passes through the transparent member 202 to illuminate the outside.

As mentioned above, the vertical irradiation bottom member 4, which is a separate member from the post batten material 5, is attached to the portions of the capping 100 other than those corresponding to the posts 8. This makes it possible to remove only the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 between the two posts 8 without removing the capping 100 itself from the posts 8, making maintenance of the lighting fixture 200 easy.

The power supply cover 400 is attached by screwing the lid portion 403 to the support portion 22 of the vertical irradiation cover material 2, in the same manner as when the oblique irradiation cover material 1 is used.

In addition, when the length of the capping 100 is equal to or longer than a predetermined length, the vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 are connected. As shown in FIG. 12, in the connection portion, the connecting material 7 is inserted inside the capping 100, and the joint material 71 is attached to the outer periphery of the capping 100. The connecting material 7 is the same as that in the case where the oblique irradiation cover material 1 is used, and has a shape that fits just inside the inner periphery of the capping 100. That is, the front part of the upper surface from the inclined surface part 72 abuts against the support part 22. Both the front and rear surfaces abut against the inner surface of the engaged part 44 of the vertical irradiation bottom member 4. The lower surface (the part between the inclined surface part 73 and the curved surface part 74) abuts against the upper surface of the bottom fixing plate part 42a of the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 and is screwed. The joint material 71 is also the same as that used when the oblique irradiation cover material 1 is used, and the coping 100 fits exactly into its inner periphery, covering and concealing the connection between the vertical irradiation cover material 2 and the vertical irradiation bottom member 4. The joint material 71 is screwed to the vertical irradiation bottom member 4 from below.

According to the handrail of the present invention configured in this way, the cover fixing surface parts 13, 23 of the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation and the cover material 2 for vertical irradiation and the batten fixing surface part 52 of the support part batten material 5 are positioned toward one side of the expected direction, and the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation or the cover material 2 for vertical irradiation and the support part batten material 5 are fixed on one side with the fixing screw S, so that the inclination angle of the mounting surface parts 14, 24 located on the other side relative to them can be freely set. Here, in the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation, the mounting surface part 14 is inclined with respect to the cover fixing surface part 13, and in the cover material 2 for vertical irradiation, the mounting surface part 24 is parallel to the cover fixing surface part 23. Therefore, by using the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation and the cover material 2 for vertical irradiation appropriately, the irradiation direction of the light of the lighting device 200 can be changed. That is, in this embodiment, the cover fixing surfaces 13, 23 are oriented horizontally, so that when the cover material for oblique irradiation 1 is attached, the attachment surface 14 is inclined with respect to the horizontal plane, so that the lighting fixture 200 is inclined, and the light irradiation direction can be inclined with respect to the vertical direction, and when the cover material for vertical irradiation 2 is attached, the attachment surface 24 is oriented horizontally, so that the lighting fixture 200 is inclined with respect to the vertical direction, and the light irradiation direction can be made vertical. And, since the support part batten material 5 is common, costs can be reduced. In either case, since the cover fixing surface parts 13, 23 and the batten fixing surface part 52 are parallel, by screwing or passing the fixing screw S perpendicularly into or through both of the planar surfaces, the male thread part of the fixing screw S is securely screwed into the female thread part of the cover fixing surface parts 13, 23 (i.e., the female thread part of the second plate part 17a and the cover plate part 22a on which the cover fixing surface parts 13, 23 are formed), and the entire surface of the head of the fixing screw S abuts against the batten fixing surface part 52, thereby securely fixing the cover material for oblique irradiation 1 or the cover material for vertical irradiation 2 to the support part batten material 5. Note that if multiple cover materials (cover material for oblique irradiation 1 and cover material for vertical irradiation 2) having different inclination angles of the mounting surface parts 14, 24 with respect to the cover fixing surface parts 13, 23 are provided in advance in this way, the irradiation direction of the light from the lighting fixture 200 can be easily changed simply by selecting the cover material to be attached. In addition, the support batten material 5 has a bottom surface 55 located on the other side (front side) and on the side (lower side) farther from the cover fixing surface 13, 23 than the batten fixing surface 52, so that the head of the fixing screw S penetrating the batten fixing surface 52 can be accommodated in the step formed by the batten fixing surface 52 and the bottom surface 55, so that the head of the fixing screw S does not protrude on the outer periphery of the cap board 100, and the attachment to the column connecting member 9 that supports the cap board 100 is good. In other words, the head of the fixing screw S fits between the batten fixing surface 52 and the base 91 of the column connecting member 9, and the bottom surface 55 can be abutted against the base 91 to ensure secure fixation.

In addition, in the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the vertical irradiation cover material 2, the cover outer shell parts 11, 21 and the support parts 12, 22 are integrally formed, so that the structure is simpler and the rigidity is higher. Furthermore, since the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the vertical irradiation cover material 2 have hollow parts 15, 25 surrounded by the cover outer shell parts 11, 21 and the support parts 12, 22 (i.e., the hollow part 15 surrounded by the cover outer shell part 11, the first plate part 16a and the second plate part 17a, and the hollow part 25 surrounded by the cover outer shell part 21 and the cover plate part 22a), the rigidity of the oblique irradiation cover material 1 and the vertical irradiation cover material 2 themselves is higher, and the rigidity of the support parts 12, 22 (i.e., the rigidity of the first plate part 16a and the second plate part 17a and the rigidity of the cover plate part 22a) is also higher. As a result, the lighting device 200 can be fixed more stably to the mounting surface parts 14, 24. In addition, the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation and the cover material 2 for vertical irradiation are fixed to the support part 5, the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation, and the bottom member 4 for vertical irradiation by screwing the fixing screw S or the like into the cover fixing surface parts 13, 23 of the support parts 12, 22, so that the support part 5, the bottom member 3 for oblique irradiation, and the bottom member 4 for vertical irradiation can be fixed more stably to the cover material 1 for oblique irradiation and the cover material 2 for vertical irradiation. Furthermore, a separate member for setting the inclination angle of the lighting fixture 200 is not necessary, and a simple configuration can be achieved. In addition, when a separate member for setting the inclination angle of the lighting fixture 200 is used, depending on the processing accuracy and installation accuracy of the member, the inclination angle of the lighting fixture 200 may be shifted at each point in the longitudinal direction of the coping 100, and even if the shift is small, the light irradiated to the floor surface away from the handrail will be significantly shifted, resulting in a poor appearance. In contrast, in the present invention, the mounting surface portions 14, 24 are provided on the oblique irradiation cover material 1 or the vertical irradiation cover material 2 that constitutes the headboard 100, so the inclination angle is consistent along the length of the headboard 100, the irradiation angle of the light from the lighting fixture 200 can be made uniform, and the light irradiated onto the floor surface away from the handrail can also be made uniform.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the invention. For example, the support part batten material may be attached to a part of the coping other than the part corresponding to the support. In addition, in the cover material for oblique irradiation and the cover material for vertical irradiation, the part corresponding to the hollow part may be a solid part with a filled inside. In that case, the lower surface of the solid part becomes the support part. Alternatively, the support part may be a separate member from the cover outer shell part, or the support part may be separated into front and rear. The cover material is not limited to the above two types of cover material, the cover material for oblique irradiation and the cover material for vertical irradiation, and there may be many types of cover material with different inclination angles of the mounting surface part relative to the cover fixing surface part. Furthermore, in the support part batten material, the batten fixing surface part may be provided inside the batten outer shell part that constitutes the outer shape of the coping. In addition, the configuration of the support supporting the coping can be modified as appropriate, taking into consideration the situation and design of the installation location of the handrail.
