Description

The present invention relates to a wall storage shelf that is fitted into an opening in a wall inside a building.

Storage shelves that are attached to wall openings using special fixtures or double-sided tape are known as storage shelves that can be fitted into openings in the walls of kitchen counters, living rooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms, toilets, etc. (see Patent Documents 1 and 2).

To solve the above problems, the inventors conceived of a structure that could be attached using fixing devices such as screws, which would make installation and alignment easier, prevent increases in processing costs, and prevent the device from falling off. However, this resulted in a new problem: the fixing devices were exposed, making the device unsightly.

The object of the present invention is to provide a wall storage shelf that can be attached with fasteners such as screws and still have a beautiful finish.

According to the first and second aspects of the wall storage shelf of the present invention, even if the storage shelf body is fixed to the wall surface by fasteners such as screws passing through the fastening holes, the fasteners and the fastening holes can be covered with the cover part . The following describes a building structure that employs a wall storage shelf 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, with reference to FIG. 1.

As shown in FIG. 1, the building structure 100 has a wall 101 in an interior room and a wall storage shelf 1 fitted into an opening 102 (see FIG. 8) formed in the wall 101. The wall 101 has a wall surface 101a that defines a part of the interior room, and an opening 102 is formed in the wall surface 101a. The wall 101 may be any wall such as a kitchen counter, a living room, a bathroom, a dressing room, or a toilet. The wall storage shelf 1 opens on the wall surface 101a side, and is configured so that items can be placed on it from the inside of the room. In FIG. 1, the wall surface 101a side of the wall 101 is shown as the front, and the thickness direction of the wall 101 is shown as the front-rear direction A. In FIG. 1, the horizontal direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction A is shown as the left-right direction B, and the direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction A and the left-right direction B is shown as the up-down direction C. For ease of explanation, the front-to-rear direction A, left-to-right direction B, and up-to-down direction C shown in FIG. 1 are also appropriately reflected in FIGS. 2 to 8.

In addition, the storage shelf main body 10 is formed long along the left-right direction B, and the opening 12 has a rectangular shape long in the left-right direction B.

As shown in FIG. 3, the storage shelf body 10 has a flange portion 15. The flange portion 15 is formed to protrude outward from the periphery of the front surface of the storage shelf body 10 (the periphery of the opening 12). The flange portion 15 is formed in an annular shape so as to surround all four peripheries that define the opening 12 of the storage shelf body 10. The flange portion 15 has a pair of first flange portions 16 extending parallel to the left-right direction B and a pair of second flange portions 17 extending parallel to the up-down direction C. The pair of first flange portions 16 is composed of an upper flange portion protruding upward from the upper side and a lower flange portion protruding downward from the lower side of the two upper and lower sides that define the opening 12. These upper and lower flange portions are arranged symmetrically with respect to a center line that passes through the center of the storage shelf body 10 and is parallel to the left-right direction B. The pair of first flange portions 16 has a rectangular cross-sectional shape, and the front surface 16a is flat.

As shown in FIG. 3, the pair of second flange portions 17 is composed of a left flange portion that protrudes leftward from the left side and a right flange portion that protrudes rightward from the right side of the two sides that define the opening 12. These left and right flange portions are arranged symmetrically with respect to a center line that is parallel to the up-down direction C and passes through the center of the storage shelf main body 10. In this embodiment, the left flange portion of the pair of second flange portions 17 will be described, and a detailed description of the right flange portion will be omitted.

As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the second flange portion (left flange portion) 17 has four screw holes (fixing holes) 18 penetrating in the thickness direction (front-rear direction A) and two substrate peepholes 19. A cutout portion 31 is formed on the outer side (left center) of the center in the vertical direction C of the second flange portion 17. The two substrate peepholes 19 are arranged in a position sandwiching the cutout portion 31 in the vertical direction C. Each substrate peephole 19 has a long rectangular shape along the vertical direction C. The four screw holes 18 are arranged two by two in a position sandwiching the two substrate peepholes 19 in the vertical direction C. Each screw hole 18 has an elongated hole shape extending along the left-right direction B. In other words, the screw holes 18 are formed extending along the direction protruding from the periphery of the opening 12 of the second flange portion 17 to be formed.

As shown in FIG. 5, a through-hole 32 is formed on the inside center in the vertical direction C of the second flange portion 17 (on the right side of the center near the opening 12) and penetrates in the thickness direction. A locked portion 33 that is locked by a locking claw 23a (described later) is formed in the rear portion of the through-hole 32. The locked portion 33 is a rod-shaped member that extends along the vertical direction C and is connected to upper and lower wall surfaces 32a that define the through-hole 32. In addition, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 6, four locked grooves 34 that are locked by locking claws 24a, 25a, and 26a (described later) are formed in the rear portion of the periphery of the second flange portion 17.

As shown in FIG. 4, the second flange portion 17 is formed so that its front surface 17a is positioned one step rearward from the front surface 16a of the first flange portion 16. More specifically, the second flange portion 17 is formed to protrude from the periphery of the opening 12 so that the front surface 20a of the cover member 20 and the front surface 16a of the first flange portion 16 are substantially flush (i.e., substantially flush) when the cover member 20 is attached to the second flange portion 17. In this embodiment, the front surface 20a of the cover member 20 protrudes 1 mm from the front surface 16a of the first flange portion 16 (is positioned to protrude forward). As a modified example, the front surface 20a may be positioned slightly rearward from the front surface 16a.

As shown in FIG. 2, the cover member 20 has two cover parts 21. The two cover parts 21 are configured to be detachable to the left and right flange parts of the second flange portion 17. These two cover parts 21 are also arranged symmetrically with respect to a center line that is parallel to the up-down direction C and passes through the center of the storage shelf main body 10. In this embodiment, the cover part 21 that is detachable to the left flange part will be described, and a detailed description of the cover part 21 that is detachable to the right flange part will be omitted.

As shown in FIG. 7, the cover part 21 has a box shape with a recess 22 that opens toward the rear. The right side wall 23 that defines the recess 22 of the cover part 21 has two notches 23a and a fitting piece 23b. The two notches 23a are arranged in the center part of the right side wall 23 in the vertical direction C, that is, in a position that sandwiches the fitting piece 23b. The fitting piece 23b is the part that remains by forming the two notches 23a in the right side wall 23, and is configured to be able to be fitted into the through-hole 32 of the second flange part 17. In addition, as shown in FIG. 7(a), two locking claws 23c are formed on the fitting piece 23b. These locking claws 23c are formed to protrude leftward from the fitting piece 23b and are arranged at a distance from each other in the vertical direction C. In addition, the two locking claws 23c are configured to be able to lock with the locked portion 33 when the fitting piece 23b is fitted into the through-hole 32.

As shown in Figs. 6 and 7, four locking claws 24a, 25a, 26a are formed on the left side wall 24, upper wall 25, and lower wall 26 that define the recess 22 of the cover part 21. Two locking claws 24a are formed on the left side wall 24 protruding to the right from the left side wall 24. These two locking claws 24a are arranged spaced apart from each other along the vertical direction C. One locking claw 25a is formed on the upper wall 25 protruding downward from the upper wall 25. One locking claw 26a is formed on the lower wall 26 protruding upward from the lower wall 26. These four locking claws 24a, 25a, 26a are configured to be able to be locked into the four locking grooves 34 when the cover part 21 is attached to the second flange portion 17.

As shown in FIG. 2, the cover portion 21 is formed so that the front surface 20a of the cover member 20 (the front surface of the cover portion 21) and the front surface 16a of the first flange portion 16 are flush with each other when the cover portion 21 is attached to the second flange portion 17. The cover portion 21 is formed so that the entire front surface 17a of the second flange portion 17 (i.e., the entire screw holes 18, the peep holes 19 in the base, the notches 31, etc.) can be covered when the cover portion 21 is attached to the second flange portion 17.

Next, the situation when mounting the wall storage shelf 1 on the wall 101 will be described below with reference to Figs. 1 and 8. First, as shown in Fig. 8, the storage shelf main body 10 is inserted into the opening 102 formed in the wall 101, and the flange portion 15 is brought into contact with the wall surface 101a. Then, the storage shelf main body 10 is positioned while checking the underlying wall surface 101a through the peephole 19 in the base. Next, screws (fixing devices) are screwed into the pilot holes from each screw hole 18 to fasten the storage shelf body 10 to the wall 101. At this time, because the screw holes 18 have an elongated hole shape, the stress generated when the screws are driven diagonally outward to perform the diagonal fastening can be released to the side. Also, in this embodiment, because the storage shelf body 10 can be fixed to the wall 101 with screws, the installation position of the storage shelf body 10 can be fine-tuned by loosening the screws.

Next, the two cover portions 21 of the cover member 20 are attached to the pair of second flange portions 17. That is, the mating pieces 23b of the cover portions 21 are fitted into the through-holes 32 of the second flange portions 17, and the locking claws 23c are locked to the locked portions 33. At this time, the four locking claws 24a, 25a, 26a are locked to the four locked grooves 34 of the second flange portions 17. In this way, the cover member 20 covers the entire front surface 17a of the pair of second flange portions 17, and the installation of the wall storage shelf 1 to the wall 101 is completed.

As described above, even if the storage shelf main body 10 is fixed to the wall surface 101a with a screw (fixing device) through the screw hole (fixing hole) 18, it is possible to cover the screw and the screw hole 18 with the cover member 20. Therefore, even if it is attached with a screw, it is possible to achieve a beautiful finish. In addition, the position of the base can be confirmed through the peep hole 19 in the base, and the storage shelf main body 10 can be securely fastened with the screw.

In addition, since a peephole 19 is formed in the second flange portion 17, the position of the wall surface 101a (base) can be confirmed through the peephole 19 in the base, and the storage shelf body 10 can be securely fastened with screws.

In addition, two peepholes 19 in the base are formed in each second flange portion 17. This allows the position of the wall surface 101a (base) to be confirmed along the arrangement direction of the peepholes 19 in the base (up-down direction C) through the multiple peepholes 19 in the base, making it possible to more reliably fasten the storage shelf body 10 with screws.

In this embodiment, two screw holes 18 are provided as elongated holes at the top and bottom of each of the flange portions 17 on both the left and right sides. This is because if the screws interfere with the joints of the base material, they may widen the joints of the base material or loosen the fastening, so that the positions of the two screw holes 18 at each location can be selected so that they do not interfere with the joints depending on how the base material is assembled.

Although the preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the claims. For example, in the above embodiment, the cover portion 21 of the cover member 20 covers the entire front surface 17a of the second flange portion 17 when attached to the second flange portion 17, but it may cover only the screw holes 18. In addition, each first flange portion 16 may be provided with one or more screw holes 18 as fixing holes similar to those of the second flange portion 17.
