Description

The present invention relates to a toilet for pets.

A pet toilet for indoor pets such as cats to relieve themselves has been disclosed in which the toilet body is divided into upper and lower sections by a slat, pet waste treatment material is laid in the upper section to absorb water, and a tray is provided in the lower section (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

However, in the pet toilet described in Patent Document 1, the slat must be placed above the lower tray, and the toilet is forced to be divided into upper and lower parts in order to hold the slat. This separate upper and lower structure has the problem that the fitting between the upper and lower parts is visible on the outside near the center of the height of the pet toilet, compromising the design.

On the other hand, if the main body of the pet toilet is made into a one-piece box shape to improve design, it will not be able to hold the toilet tray. Also, if legs are attached to the toilet tray to make it stand on its own, the legs will get in the way when pulling out the tray underneath, which is a problem.

The present invention was made in consideration of these problems, and aims to provide a pet toilet with excellent design that can hold the lattice inside the main body without interfering with the removal of the tray below.

In order to solve the above problems, the pet toilet of the present invention comprises a storage section with an open top, a top plate that covers the top of the storage section, a storage section with multiple through holes at the bottom that serves as a place for the pet to relieve itself, and a tray section that is slidably installed below the storage section, the storage section is stored in the storage section so that it can be freely inserted and removed, the tray section serves as a tray for pet waste that falls from the bottom of the storage section, and the top plate has an opening that allows the pet to enter and exit the storage section within the storage section.

Here, it is preferable that the top plate is supported on a shaft at the upper ends on both sides of the storage section and can be opened and closed by rotating on said shaft.

It is also preferable that the storage section has a storage section holding section which is a support member that supports the storage section within the storage section.

Furthermore, it is preferable that at least one of the storage section holding sections is provided on the inside front and inside back of the storage section.

It is preferable that the storage section has a hook portion that protrudes outward from the side wall of the storage section and engages with the storage section holding portion.

It is also preferable that the height of the rear wall of the tray portion is lower than the other wall portions.

Furthermore, it is preferable that the tray portion has a recess, which is a depression formed in the width direction on the rear side of the wall on the front side.

The pet toilet of the present invention allows the storage section, which is the main body, to be constructed as an integrated unit, improving the design of the exterior, and because the storage section is held within the storage section above the tray, it does not interfere with the tray below the storage section when it is pulled out. This allows the slats to be held within the main body without interfering with the pulling out of the lower tray, resulting in the effect of realizing a pet toilet with excellent design.

The following describes the pet toilet of the present invention based on an embodiment.

Figure 1 is a perspective view showing a pet toilet according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is a front view, Figure 3 is a plan view, and Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A in Figure 2.

The pet toilet 1 is a pet toilet used by pets such as cats kept indoors to relieve themselves, and is made mainly of plastic and includes a storage section 10, a tray 20, and a top plate 30.

The storage section 10 is the main body of the pet toilet 1, and is open at the top, with a top plate 30 attached as a lid for this open section. A tray 20 is housed in the lower part of the storage section 10 so that it can be pulled out. Inside the storage section 10, a storage section 40 that acts as a drainboard is housed, and the storage section 40 is held within the storage section 10 by storage section holders 11 provided on the front and back sides of the storage section 10.

The storage section holding section 11 is a support member provided inside the storage section 10 to hold the storage section 40 within the storage section 10. As shown in FIG. 4, the storage section holding section 11 is provided on the inside front and back of the storage section 10, and engages with the hook section 43 of the storage section 40 to place the storage section 40 and hold it within the storage section 10.

The storage section holding section 11 is provided on the inside of the front of the storage section 10 as a protrusion protruding upward from the eaves of the drawer opening of the tray 20. Also, on the inside of the back, it is provided as a convex part that extends in the direction opposite to the eaves of the drawer opening of the tray 20, that is, inward of the storage section 10. In this way, by configuring the storage section holding section 11 as a convex part extending inward of the storage section 10, the storage section 40 can be held within the storage section 10, and the design can be maintained in good condition without affecting the appearance of the main body. Also, since the storage section holding section 11 is located above the tray 20 and holds the storage section 40 above the tray 20, the storage section 40 does not get in the way when the tray 20 is drawn out of the storage section 10.

If the storage section holding section 11 is provided on the inside of the left and right side surfaces of the storage section 10, unevenness may appear on the outside of the left and right side surfaces of the storage section 10, which may impair the design. For this reason, it is preferable to provide the storage section holding section 11 on at least one of the front and back surfaces of the storage section 10, or on the inside of the front surface and the inside of the back surface of the storage section 10. However, this does not prevent the storage section holding section 11 from being provided on the inside of the left and right side surfaces of the storage section 10.

The storage unit 40 is a storage container that is stored in and held within the storage unit 10, and can be freely taken in and out from the open top of the storage unit 10. This storage unit 40 is intended to be a place for pets to relieve themselves (relief area), and is equipped with a bottom 41 with multiple openings, a handle 42, and a hook portion 43 on the outer side wall of the container. For a more detailed explanation, a bottom perspective view of the storage unit 40 is shown in Figure 5.

The bottom 41 has a number of through holes as openings, which allows the storage section 40 to function as a drainboard. Pellet-shaped waste treatment material that disintegrates by absorbing moisture may be placed on the bottom 41. Note that the openings of the bottom 41 are elongated holes, but they may also be round holes or a combination of through holes of different shapes.

The handle 42 is a part that serves as a handle when storing the storage unit 40 in the storage unit 10 or when removing it from the storage unit 10. The handle 42 is provided at the upper end of the side walls located on the left and right side of the storage unit 10 when the storage unit 40 is stored in the storage unit 10. The hook portion 43 is provided on the side walls located on the front and back sides of the storage unit 10 so that the hook portion 43 can engage with the storage unit holding portion 11 of the storage unit 10, so that the hook portion 43 and the handle 42 are not arranged on the same side wall.

The hook portion 43 is a member that protrudes outward from the side wall of the storage section 40 and is provided at a position that engages with the storage section holding portion 11. As described above, the hook portion 43 is provided on the outside of the side wall located on the front side and rear side of the storage section 10, and has a shape that engages with the storage section holding portion 11. The storage section 40 is held within the storage section 10 by placing this hook portion 43 on the storage section holding portion 11. In order to stabilize the holding state of the storage section 40 within the storage section 10, it is preferable that multiple hook portions 43 are provided on the outside of the side wall of the storage section 40, and multiple storage section holding portions 11 are provided within the storage section 10 corresponding to these.

The tray 20 is a tray section composed of a tray member that is slidably disposed below the storage section 10. The storage section 40 is located above the tray 20, and pet waste that falls through the through-holes in the bottom section 41 and the self-destructing waste treatment material are stored on the tray 20. In other words, the tray 20 serves as a receptacle for pet waste and the like. For this reason, a pet sheet or the like is laid on the tray 20 before use. To explain the tray 20 in more detail, a perspective view of the tray 20 viewed from the rear side is shown in FIG. 6.

The tray rear wall 22, which is the side wall on the rear side of the tray 20, is configured to be lower in height than the front wall and the tray side walls 21, which are the left and right side walls of the tray 20. This is to prevent pet sheets and the like placed on the tray 20 from coming into contact with and getting caught on the storage section 40 when the tray 20 is pulled out of the storage section 10. In addition, because the left and right tray side walls 21 of the tray 20 have height, pet sheets, which are often rectangular in shape, can be folded and used. It is also preferable to form a notch to hold the pet sheet on the tray 20.

In addition, a recess 23 is formed in the width direction on the back side of the wall on the front side of the tray 20. This recess 23 formed in the width direction can store long and thin items such as shovels and hand brooms in a horizontal position, improving convenience.

The top plate 30 is a cover member attached to the top of the open storage section 10. As shown in Figs. 1 and 4, the top surface of the top plate 30 is not flat, but has a shape with a concave shape on the inside. This is to hold the pet inside the pet toilet 1 even if the pet defecates on the top surface of the top plate 30, and prevent it from spilling out to the outside. The top plate 30 has an opening 31 for guiding the pet to the storage section 40 in the storage section 10. In other words, this opening 31 is the entrance and exit to the place where the pet relieves itself (storage section 40), and the pet will come and go through here. Therefore, in order to prevent the pet from being injured when passing through, the end surface of the opening 31 is configured in a curved shape that gently slopes from the outer periphery of the opening toward the center of the opening, as shown in Fig. 4. In this way, by opening up the top of the storage section 10 and attaching the top plate 30 as a lid, and providing an entrance and exit to the area where the pet relieves itself on this top plate 30, it is possible to prevent the smell of the pet's feces and urine from escaping to the outside, and to keep the surrounding environment hygienic.

The top plate 30 is supported by pivots 32 at the upper left and right ends on the rear side, and can be opened and closed by rotating the pivots 32. Figure 7 is a perspective view showing an example of the usage state, showing the top plate 30 in the open state and the tray 20 in the pulled-out state.

As shown in FIG. 7, when the top plate 30 is opened by pivoting about the pivot support 32, a gap 33 is formed between the wall on the rear side of the storage unit 10 and the top plate 30. By forming this gap 33, even if pet waste or the like remains on the top plate 30, it can fall into the storage section 40 inside the storage unit 10 without spilling outside the pet toilet 1.

In this way, according to the pet toilet of this embodiment, the storage section holding portion of the support member that supports the storage section, which is the lattice portion, is formed inside the storage section, which is the main body, and holds the storage section within the storage section, so there is no need to divide the storage section into upper and lower parts as a structure for holding the storage section. In other words, the storage section, which is the main body, can be configured as a single unit, which can improve the design of the external appearance of the pet toilet. Also, at this time, the storage section is held within the storage section above the tray, so the storage section does not get in the way when pulling out the tray located below the storage section.

In addition, the top of the storage section is open and a top plate is attached as a lid, and this top plate has an entrance to the storage section where pets relieve themselves, which makes it difficult for the smell of pet feces and urine to leak outside, helping to maintain a hygienic environment around the toilet.

In addition, the top plate is supported on an axis at the upper end of the side of the storage section and can be opened and closed by rotating on the axis, and a gap is formed between the top plate and the side wall of the storage section, so that even if pet waste remains on the top plate, it can fall into the storage section without spilling outside the toilet.

The tray, which is slidably mounted at the bottom of the storage section, has a rear wall that is lower than the other walls, so that pet sheets or other items placed on the tray do not get caught on the mat when the tray is pulled out of the storage section.

In addition, a recess is formed on the back of the front wall of the tray that can store items such as a shovel or hand broom, making it more convenient when cleaning the toilet.

The pet toilet of the present invention has been described above based on an embodiment, but the present invention is not limited to this, and various design changes are possible as long as the object of the present invention can be achieved and the gist of the invention is not deviated from, and all of these are included within the scope of the present invention.

For example, in the above embodiment, an example was shown in which the top plate was pivotally supported at the upper end of the side of the storage section, but the top plate may also be configured as a detachable lid attached to the top of the storage section.

The pet toilet of the present invention is suitable as a pet toilet for indoor pets such as cats to relieve themselves.
