Description

This disclosure relates to the arrangement of functional units.

Conventionally, bathtub cleaning devices have been equipped with a functional unit that mixes hot water supplied from a water supply line with detergent liquid supplied from a cleaning tank to generate cleaning water, and then delivers the cleaning water to a cleaning nozzle installed in the bathtub.

Walls are installed on three sides of the bathtub, and the functional unit may be attached to one of these walls that is positioned along the short side of the bathtub (see Patent Document 1 below).

Equipment such as a pump that sprays hot water from the jet bath may be installed between the bathtub and the wall located on the short side of the bathtub, which creates the problem that it is difficult to install the functional unit because the functional unit and the equipment interfere with each other.

This disclosure was made in consideration of the above circumstances, and provides an arrangement structure for functional units that can be arranged without interfering with other facility devices.

A functional unit arrangement structure according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is a functional unit arrangement structure in which a functional unit having equipment built therein is arranged in a bathroom, wherein the functional unit is arranged between a bathtub and a washing area, away from the wall of the bathroom that is arranged on the short side of the bathtub, and is provided with an attachment member for attaching the functional unit to an apron of the bathtub, the attachment member having an engagement portion that engages with an opening of the apron and an engagement portion to which the functional unit is engaged, and the engagement portion is arranged on the bathtub side rather than the apron.

The layout structure of the functional unit according to one embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, the functional unit 1 is installed in the bathroom unit (bathroom) 10. Equipment is built into the functional unit 1. The functional unit 1 is one of the components of a bathtub cleaning device, and is used to mix hot water supplied from a water supply channel (not shown) with detergent liquid supplied from a cleaning tank (not shown) to generate detergent liquid (cleaning water), and to send the detergent liquid to a cleaning nozzle installed in the bathtub. The configuration of the functional unit 1 itself is similar to that described in Patent Document 1, for example.

The bathroom unit 10 is installed within the building's framework by assembling the floor 11, walls 21, ceiling (not shown), bathtub 13, etc. using frames and panels. The bathroom unit 10 will be used as an example below. The functional unit 1 is not limited to the bathroom unit 10, and can also be applied to bathrooms constructed using conventional construction methods.

A bathtub 13 and a washing area 19 are installed on the floor 11 of the bathroom unit 10. The bathtub 13 and the washing area 19 are arranged adjacent to each other.

The bathtub 13 has a rectangular shape in a plan view. The bathtub 13 has a bathtub body 14 that is concave downward so that a user can bathe, and a bathtub flange portion 15 that extends outward from the upper end of the peripheral wall portion of the bathtub body 14.

The outer shape of the bathtub body 14 and the outer shape of the bathtub flange portion 15 (outer shape of the bathtub 13) are both approximately rectangular in shape and long in one direction when viewed in a plane. In the following description, the longitudinal direction of the bathtub 13 is referred to as the X direction. The lateral direction of the bathtub 13 is referred to as the Y direction.

The walls 21A to 21D (21) are arranged in the up-down direction. The walls 21A and 21B extend in the Y direction along the short side of the bathtub 13 (short sides 13a and 13b of the bathtub 13). The wall 21A is arranged on the counter 19a side of the washing area 19. The wall 21B is arranged on the opposite side of the counter 19a of the washing area 19. The walls 21C and 21D extend in the X direction along the long side of the bathtub 13 (short sides 13c and 13d of the bathtub 13). The wall 21C is arranged on the bathtub 13 side. The wall 21D is arranged on the washing area 19 side.

An apron 16 is provided on the end 15a of the bathtub flange 15 of the bathtub 13 on the washing area 19 side. As shown in FIG. 2 (a part of an elevational view of the bathroom unit 10, showing the bathtub 13 from the washing area 19 side with the washing area 19 side omitted), a folded wall portion 15b extending downward is provided on the end 15a of the bathtub flange 15. The apron 16 is provided to extend downward from the folded wall portion 15b of the bathtub flange 15.

The apron 16 has an apron body 17 and an apron cover 18 (two-dot chain line). As shown in FIG. 3, the apron body 17 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the apron body 17 faces the Y direction. The apron body 17 has openings 17h and 17i that penetrate in the plate thickness direction. The opening (opening) 17h is arranged on the wall 21A side, and the opening 17i is arranged on the wall 21B side. The openings 17h and 17i function as inspection hatches during maintenance. The apron cover 18 is provided on the surface 17a of the apron body 17 facing the washing area 19 side. The apron cover 18 is formed of a material with heat retention properties. The apron cover 18 is provided so as to cover substantially the entire apron body 17.

The functional unit arrangement structure 100 according to this embodiment will be described. As shown in FIG. 1, in the functional unit arrangement structure 100, the functional unit 1 is arranged between the bathtub 13 and the washing area 19, and is arranged at a position away from the wall 21A. In this embodiment, the functional unit 1 is arranged at a position slightly closer to the wall 21A than the center of the bathtub 13 in the longitudinal direction (X direction). As shown in FIG. 2, the functional unit 1 is arranged above the floor 11 on which the bathtub 13 is installed, and at a position away from the floor 11.

As shown in FIG. 3, the functional unit 1 is attached to the apron body 17 via the mounting member 3. The functional unit 1 is provided along the surface 17b (see FIG. 9) of the apron body 17 facing the bathtub 13.

As shown in FIG. 4, the mounting member 3 has a first mounting member 30 and a second mounting member (locking portion) 40. When describing the mounting member 3, the direction in which it is attached to the functional unit 1 may be used.

As shown in FIG. 5, the first mounting member 30 has a first support plate portion 31 and first side plate portions 32 and 33.

The first support plate portion 31 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the first support plate portion 31 faces the X direction. The vertical length of the first support plate portion 31 is approximately the same as the vertical length of the end face 1a of the functional unit 1 (the face facing the wall 21A side).

A locking projection (locked portion) 35 is provided at the upper end of the first support plate portion 31. The locking projection 35 has an extending wall portion 35a, a downward wall portion 35b, and an inclined wall portion 35c.

The extending wall portion 35a extends from the upper end of the first support plate portion 31 toward the functional unit 1. The downward wall portion 35b extends downward from the extending end of the extending wall portion 35a. The inclined wall portion 35c is provided so as to gradually incline downward as it moves from the lower end of the downward wall portion 35b toward the functional unit 1.

The upper end of the end face 1a of the functional unit 1 is provided with an upper protrusion 1u that protrudes upward. The upper protrusion 1u of the functional unit 1 is engaged with the locking projection 35 of the first mounting member 30. As shown in FIG. 6, the upper protrusion 1u of the functional unit 1 is disposed between the first support plate portion 31 of the first mounting member 30 and the wall portion 35b of the locking projection 35.

As shown in FIG. 5, an insertion protrusion (engaged portion) 36 is provided at the lower end of the first support plate portion 31. The insertion protrusion 36 extends from the lower end of the first support plate portion 31 toward the functional unit 1. The insertion protrusion 36 has an engagement hole 36h that penetrates in the vertical direction.

The lower end of the end face 1a of the functional unit 1 is provided with a lower protrusion 1d that protrudes downward. As shown in FIG. 6, the lower protrusion 1d of the functional unit 1 is inserted into and engaged with the engagement hole 36h of the insertion protrusion 36 of the first mounting member 30.

As shown in FIG. 5, the first side plate portions 32, 33 extend from both ends of the first support plate portion 31 in the width direction (Y direction) to the side opposite the functional unit 1. The first side plate portions 32, 33 are formed in a plate shape. The plate surfaces of the first side plate portions 32, 33 face the Y direction. The first side plate portion 32 has multiple mounting holes 32h formed at intervals in the vertical direction, penetrating in the plate thickness direction.

The second mounting member 40 has a second support plate portion 41, a bent plate portion 42, a second mounting plate portion 43, a second inclined plate portion 44, and a second locking plate portion 45. The second mounting member 40 is fixed to the first mounting member 30 and is locked to the opening 17h (see Figure 4) of the apron body 17.

The second support plate portion 41 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the second support plate portion 41 faces the Y direction. As shown in FIG. 8, the vertical length of the second support plate portion 41 is slightly longer than the vertical length of the opening 17h of the apron body 17. The second support plate portion 41 is disposed in contact with the surface 17a of the apron body 17. The upper end portion 41u of the second support plate portion 41 extends upward beyond the upper edge portion 17u of the opening 17h. The lower end portion 41d of the second support plate portion 41 extends downward beyond the lower edge portion 17d of the opening 17h.

As shown in FIG. 5, the bent plate portion 42 extends from the end of the second support plate portion 41 in the width direction (X direction) in the Y direction (toward the first mounting member 30).

The second mounting plate portion 43 extends in the X direction (opposite the second support plate portion 41) from the extended end of the bent plate portion 42. The second mounting plate portion 43 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the second mounting plate portion 43 faces the Y direction. The second mounting plate portion 43 has a plurality of mounting holes 43h that penetrate in the plate thickness direction and are spaced apart in the vertical direction. The screw 43a is inserted into the mounting hole 43h of the second mounting plate portion 43 and is screwed into the mounting hole 32h of the first side plate portion 32 of the first mounting member 30. This fixes the second mounting member 40 and the first mounting member 30. As shown in FIG. 7, the vertical length of the first side plate portion 32 is longer than the vertical length of the opening 17h of the apron body 17. The first side plate portion 32 is disposed in contact with the surface 17b of the apron body 17. The upper end 32u of the first side plate portion 32 extends upward beyond the upper edge 17u of the opening 17h. The lower end 32d of the first side plate portion 32 extends downward beyond the lower edge 17d of the opening 17h.

As shown in FIG. 5, the second inclined plate portion 44 extends in the Y direction (toward the functional unit 1) from the widthwise end of the second support plate portion 41 (the end opposite the folded plate portion 42). The second inclined plate portion 44 is inclined so as to extend in the X direction as it approaches the Y direction.

The second locking plate portion 45 extends in the X direction (opposite the second support plate portion 41) from the extending end of the second inclined plate portion 44. The second locking plate portion 45 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the second locking plate portion 45 faces the Y direction. As shown in FIG. 9, the vertical length of the second locking plate portion 45 is slightly longer than the vertical length of the opening 17h of the apron body 17. The second locking plate portion 45 is disposed in contact with the surface 17b of the apron body 17. The upper end portion 45u of the second locking plate portion 45 extends upward beyond the upper edge portion 17u of the opening 17h. The lower end portion 45d of the second locking plate portion 45 extends downward beyond the lower edge portion 17d of the opening 17h.

The second support plate portion 41 of the mounting member 3 is disposed on the surface 17a side of the apron body 17, and the first side plate portion 32 and the second locking plate portion 45 of the mounting member 3 are disposed on the surface 17b side of the apron body 17. The mounting member 3 sandwiches the apron body 17 in the Y direction.

When the functional unit 1 is attached to the mounting member 3, the weight of the functional unit 1 generates a certain frictional force between the lower end of the second mounting member 40 and the lower edge 17d of the opening 17h. When a force equal to or greater than the frictional force is applied to the second mounting member 40 in the X direction, the functional unit 1 is movable in the X direction (the longitudinal direction of the bathtub 13) on the mounting member 3.

Next, the procedure for attaching the functional unit 1 to the opening 17h of the apron body 17 will be described. First, the upper end of the second mounting plate portion 43 of the second mounting member 40 and the upper end portion 45u of the second locking plate portion 45 are inserted into the surface 17b of the apron body 17 from the surface 17a of the apron body 17, and the upper end portion 45u of the second locking plate portion 45 is lifted above the upper edge portion 17u of the opening 17h, and the lower end portion 45d of the second locking plate portion 45 is pulled down below the lower edge portion 17d of the opening 17h. This causes the second mounting member 40 of the mounting member 3 to be locked into the opening 17h of the apron body 17.

Next, the second mounting member 40 and the first mounting member 30 are screwed together with the screw 43a. The upper protrusion 1u of the functional unit 1 is engaged with the locking projection 35 of the first mounting member 30. The lower protrusion 1d of the functional unit 1 is engaged with the locking hole 36h of the insertion projection 36 of the first mounting member 30 to complete the process. After the functional unit 1 is engaged with the first mounting member 30, the first mounting member 30 and the second mounting member 40 may be screwed together to lock the second mounting member 40 into the opening 17h of the apron body 17.

As shown in FIG. 10, a cleaning nozzle 20 is provided on the underside 13e of the bathtub 13. The cleaning nozzle 20 is provided so as to protrude downward from the underside 13e of the bathtub 13. The functional unit 1 is connected to the cleaning nozzle 20 by a hose (not shown). Cleaning water supplied from the functional unit 1 flows through the hose and is sprayed from the cleaning nozzle 20 into the inside of the bathtub 13. The inside of the bathtub 13 is cleaned by this cleaning water.

A nozzle protection member 5 is attached to the underside 13e of the bathtub 13. The cleaning nozzle 20 is attached to the underside 13e of the bathtub 13 at the factory. The nozzle protection member 5 prevents the cleaning nozzle 20 from being damaged or broken during shipment from the factory, transportation, on-site construction, etc.

The nozzle protection member 5 has a lower protection portion 51, a side protection portion 52, and an attachment protection portion 53. For example, the nozzle protection member 5 may be constructed by bending a metal member.

The lower protective part 51 is disposed below the cleaning nozzle 20. The lower protective part 51 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the lower protective part 51 faces the up-down direction. The side protective part 52 is erected from both ends in the Y direction (or both ends in the X direction) of the lower protective part 51. The mounting protective part 53 extends from the upper end of the side protective part 52 along the lower surface 13e of the bathtub 13. The mounting protective part 53 is fixed to the lower surface 13e of the bathtub 13 with adhesive, double-sided tape, etc.

In the functional unit arrangement structure 100 configured in this manner, the functional unit 1 is arranged away from the wall 21A between the bathtub 13 and the washing area 19. As a result, even if an equipment device P such as a jet bath pump is installed along the wall 21A between the bathtub 13 and the washing area 19 as shown in FIG. 1, the functional unit 1 can be arranged without interfering with the equipment device P.

In the functional unit arrangement structure 100 described above, the functional unit 1 is attached to the apron body 17. This makes it easy to access the functional unit 1 from the washing area 19 side.

In the above-mentioned arrangement structure 100 of the functional unit 1, it is attached to the opening 17h of the apron body 17. This allows the apron body 17 to be easily removed from the bathtub 13 by removing the functional unit 1 from the opening 17h of the apron body 17 during maintenance.

In the functional unit arrangement structure 100 described above, when attaching the functional unit 1 to the opening 17h of the apron body 17, the second attachment member 40 of the attachment member 3 is engaged with the opening 17h of the apron body 17, and the second attachment member 40 and the first attachment member 30 are screwed together with the screw 43a. The upper protrusion 1u of the functional unit 1 is engaged with the locking protrusion 35 of the first attachment member 30, and the lower protrusion 1d of the functional unit 1 is engaged with the locking hole 36h of the insertion protrusion 36 of the first attachment member 30 to complete the process. Therefore, there is no need to process the functional unit 1 itself to fix it to the apron body 17, and an existing functional unit 1 can be used.

In the functional unit arrangement structure 100 described above, the functional unit 1 is attached to the apron body 17 so that it can move in the X direction (the longitudinal direction of the bathtub 13). This allows the functional unit 1 to be arranged at a desired position in the X direction depending on the arrangement of the equipment around the bathtub 13, thereby suppressing interference between the functional unit 1 and the equipment.

In the functional unit arrangement structure 100 described above, the functional unit 1 is arranged at a position above the floor 11 on which the bathtub 13 is placed, and away from the floor 11. This prevents the functional unit 1 from being splashed with water or becoming submerged in water, even if water flows onto the floor 11, thereby preventing breakdowns in the functional unit 1.

In the functional unit arrangement structure 100 described above, the cleaning nozzle 20 provided on the underside 13e of the bathtub 13 is covered with a nozzle protection member 5. This prevents damage and breakage of the cleaning nozzle 20.

The shapes and combinations of the components shown in the above-described embodiment are merely examples, and may be modified in various ways based on design requirements, etc., without departing from the spirit of this disclosure.

For example, in the embodiment, the functional unit 1 is provided in the apron 16. This is not limited to the above. The functional unit does not have to be provided in the apron as long as it is located between the bathtub and the washing area and away from the wall of the bathroom that is located on the short side of the bathtub.

In the embodiment, the functional unit 1 is attached to the apron 16 so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the bathtub 13. This is not limited to the above. The functional unit 1 may also be attached so as not to be movable relative to the apron 16.

In the embodiment, the functional unit 1 is attached to the opening 17h of the apron body 17. This is not limited to the above. The functional unit 1 may be attached to another opening 17i of the apron body 17, may be attached to a position accessible from the opening 17h of the apron body 17, or may be attached to a part of the apron body 17 that is not an opening. A position accessible from the opening 17h of the apron body 17 is a range that a worker can reach by putting their hand into the opening 17h from the washing area 19 side, which corresponds to a range of about 50 cm from the edge of the opening 17h, for example.

In the embodiment, the mounting member 3 is configured by screwing together the first mounting member 30 and the second mounting member 40. However, this is not limited to this. It may be a single member provided with a locking portion that locks onto the apron and a locked portion to which the functional unit is locked.
