Description

The present invention relates to a container for storing eye makeup cosmetics (eye makeup cosmetics storage container).

Compact containers (see, for example, Patent Document 1) and jar containers (see, for example, Patent Document 2) are used as containers for storing eye makeup cosmetics (e.g., eye shadow and eyeliner) to improve the impression of the eyes. Compact containers generally store cosmetics in a solidified powder form called pressed powder, while jar containers store cosmetics in gel or cream form. Furthermore, cosmetics stored in compact containers are usually applied to the upper or lower eyelid by applying them to an applicator such as a brush, while cosmetics stored in jar containers are wiped off with a finger.

However, among the above-mentioned jar containers, containers for storing eye makeup cosmetics are often relatively small in size, and it can be difficult to fit one's fingers inside the container, especially if one has long nails. In addition, when inserting a finger into the container, the cosmetics often get caught between the finger and nail, which can make it difficult to remove the cosmetics from the fingers after applying makeup. For this reason, there is a demand for containers that are easy to use, especially for containers for storing gel- or cream-type eye makeup cosmetics.

The present invention aims to improve these problems and to propose a user-friendly container for storing eye makeup cosmetics.

The present invention provides a container body that is cylindrical with a lid and has an opening, a sliding member that is in liquid-tight contact with an inner circumferential surface of the container body and is slidable in a direction along the axis of the container body, the sliding member having a tip portion that defines a storage space communicating with the opening between the container body and a base portion that is connected to the tip portion and has a first thread portion on its outer circumferential surface, and a rotating member that has a second thread portion that screws into the first thread portion and is held rotatably about the axis relative to the container body, wherein when the rotating member is rotated in one direction relative to the container body, the sliding member advances and the cosmetic contained in the storage space is dispensed from the opening , and the container body has a base side tubular portion that rotatably holds the rotating member, and a cross-sectional shape relative to the axis line that is flattened, and a tip side tubular portion having an outer shape tapered toward its tip and having the opening on the axis, wherein the tip of the slide member has a cross-sectional shape relative to the axis that is flattened along the inner circumference of the tip side tubular portion and abuts against the inner circumference, and the tip side tubular portion has a flat long side inclined surface that forms the tapered shape on the outer peripheral surface on the long side of the cross-sectional shape of the container body, and a flat short side inclined surface that forms the tapered shape on the outer peripheral surface on the short side of the cross-sectional shape of the container body, wherein the long side inclined surface and the short side inclined surface are provided adjacent to the opening, and the short side inclined surface is formed longer in the circumferential direction of the tip side tubular portion than the long side inclined surface .

According to the eye makeup cosmetic storage container of the present invention, when the rotating member is rotated in one direction relative to the container body, the cosmetic stored in the storage space is discharged from the opening, making it possible to directly apply it to the upper or lower eyelid. In other words, the cosmetic can be easily taken out even if the nails are long, and the trouble of removing the cosmetic from the fingers after applying makeup is eliminated, making it easy to use. In addition, the discharged cosmetic can be wiped with the finger, making it possible to apply it to the upper eyelid, etc., with the finger as in the conventional case. In other words, the eye makeup cosmetic storage container of the present invention allows the user to select an application method according to their preference.

One embodiment of an eye makeup cosmetic storage container (hereinafter, sometimes simply referred to as a "storage container") according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In this specification and the like, the up-down direction refers to the direction along the axis O shown in the figure. The radial direction refers to the direction perpendicular to the axis O in a plane perpendicular to the axis O, and the circumferential direction refers to the direction rotating around the axis O in this plane. In the following description, the upper side in FIG. 1 may be referred to as the "tip side" and the lower side may be referred to as the "base side."

The storage container 1 of this embodiment includes a container body 2, a sliding member 3, a rotating member 4, an application member 5, and a cover 6.

The container body 2 extends along the axis O and is generally cylindrical with a lid. In this embodiment, the container body 2 includes a base side tube portion 2a that is cylindrical about the axis O, an intermediate tube portion 2b that is located above the base side tube portion 2a and integrally connected to the base side tube portion 2a as shown in FIG. 2, and a tip side tube portion 2c that is located above the intermediate tube portion 2b and integrally connected to the intermediate tube portion 2b.

The tip side tube portion 2c is shaped so that its cross-sectional shape with respect to the axis O (cross-sectional shape on a plane perpendicular to the axis O) is flat. In this embodiment, the tip side tube portion 2c is shaped so that it is elliptical with the axis O as the center (see FIG. 2(a)). The length of the major axis of the tip side tube portion 2c is the same as the diameter of the intermediate tube portion 2b as shown in FIG. 2(a). Here, the "flat shape" in this specification is not limited to the elliptical shape described above, but also includes a rounded rectangular shape (oval shape) and a rectangular shape with all four sides extending linearly. The tip side tube portion 2c is shaped so that the lower part connected to the intermediate tube portion 2b extends along the axis O while remaining elliptical, and the upper part has a rounded tapered shape.

The upper end of the tip-side tubular portion 2c is provided with an upper flat portion 2d, which is provided with an opening 2e that is cross-shaped in a plan view. The outer peripheral surface of the tapered portion of the tip-side tubular portion 2c is provided with two inclined surfaces as shown in the figure. Here, the outer peripheral surface on the long side (long axis side) of the cross-sectional shape (hereinafter referred to as the "long axis side outer peripheral surface") has a long side inclined surface 2f that is inclined flatly adjacent to the opening 2e, and the outer peripheral surface on the short side (short axis side) (hereinafter referred to as the "short axis side outer peripheral surface") has a short side inclined surface 2g that is inclined flatly adjacent to the opening 2e. The outer peripheral surface of the intermediate tubular portion 2b is provided with engagement protrusions 2h that are provided at intervals in the circumferential direction, as shown in the partial enlarged view of FIG. 1.

The slide member 3 has a tip portion 3a located at the top and a base portion 3b located below and integrally connected to the tip portion 3a. The tip portion 3a has an elliptical cross-sectional shape that is slightly smaller than the tip side tube portion 2c, and is shaped so that it tapers upward. The outer peripheral surface of the tip portion 3a is provided with an abutment portion 3c that is elastically deformable radially inward and abuts liquid-tightly against the inner peripheral surface of the tip side tube portion 2c and is slidable against this inner peripheral surface. Here, the space located between the tip side tube portion 2c and the tip portion 3a and connected to the opening 2e is called the storage space S. The storage space S stores gel or cream-like cosmetics used, for example, as eye shadow.

The base portion 3b is cylindrical and has an axis O as its center, and has a male-threaded first screw portion 3d on its outer circumferential surface. A recess 3e is provided on the radially inner side of the base portion 3b, which continues from the lower end of the base portion 3b to the tip portion 3a.

The rotating member 4 is cylindrical and centered on the axis O, and includes a cylindrical upper peripheral wall portion 4a that is inserted into the base side tube portion 2a and rotatably held by the base side tube portion 2a. Below the upper peripheral wall portion 4a, a lower peripheral wall portion 4b is provided that has a larger diameter than the upper peripheral wall portion 4a. As shown in FIG. 3(b), a recess 4c is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the lower peripheral wall portion 4b, which reduces the thickness of the lower peripheral wall portion 4b toward the inside in the radial direction, and the recess 4c is provided with a groove portion 4d that extends along the axis O. In this embodiment, the recess 4c and the groove portion 4d are provided as a pair facing each other across the axis O.

The upper end of the upper peripheral wall portion 4a is provided with a connecting portion 4e that extends radially inward and then vertically. The inner peripheral surface of the connecting portion 4e is provided with a second threaded portion 4f that is female-threaded and screws into the first threaded portion 3d.

The application member 5 has a base 5a located at the bottom. The base 5a has a bottom wall 5b that is disk-shaped with the axis O as the center, and an annular wall 5c that is provided on the outer periphery of the bottom wall 5b and can be inserted inside the lower peripheral wall 4b. A plate-shaped fitting portion 5d that fits into the groove 4d is provided on the radial outside of the lower peripheral wall 4b. By fitting the fitting portion 5d into the groove 4d, the application member 5 is held non-rotatable relative to the rotating member 4. A handle portion 5e is provided on the radial outside of the fitting portion 5d. In this embodiment, the fitting portion 5d is connected to the vertical center of the handle portion 5e. In other words, the distance from the fitting portion 5d to the upper end of the handle portion 5e and the distance to the lower end are equal. In addition, the handle portion 5e of this embodiment is curved so that the center portion in the vertical direction protrudes most radially outward as shown in Fig. 1, and its shape in side view is rectangular so as to fit inside the recess 4c as shown in Fig. 3(b). The fitting portion 5d and the handle portion 5e of this embodiment are provided as a pair, facing each other across the axis O.

A cylindrical shaft portion 5f extending along the axis O as shown in FIG. 1 is integrally connected to the base portion 5a. A brush-shaped applicator 5g is provided at the upper end of the shaft portion 5f in this embodiment. The shaft portion 5f and applicator 5g in this embodiment can be stored inside the recess 3e when the fitting portion 5d is fitted into the groove portion 4d with the applicator 5g facing upward as shown in the figure. In other words, by providing the recess 3e, it is possible to avoid interference between the applicator 5g and the base portion 3b in the vertical direction, and therefore it is possible to reduce the overall length of the storage container 1.

The cover 6 has a disk-shaped top wall 6a and a cylindrical outer wall 6b provided on the outer periphery of the top wall 6a. The inner periphery of the outer wall 6b has an engagement recess 6c that engages with the engagement protrusion 2h, as shown in the partially enlarged view of Figure 1, so that the cover 6 covers the tip side tube portion 2c and is removably held to the tip side tube portion 2c.

When the cover 6 is removed from the storage container 1 in this form, the rotating member 4 is rotated in the direction of the arrow relative to the container body 2 as shown in FIG. 4 (the application member 5 may also be rotated), and the second screw portion 4f also rotates relative to the container body 2. Here, since the first screw portion 3d is screwed into the second screw portion 4f, the slide member 3 rises as shown in the figure. That is, as the slide member 3 rises, the volume of the storage space S decreases, and the stored cosmetic is discharged from the opening 2e. The cosmetic discharged from the opening 2e can be directly applied to the upper eyelid, etc., as shown in FIG. 6. When applying the cosmetic to a wide area, it is preferable to use the long side inclined surface 2f as shown in FIG. 6(a), which allows the cosmetic to be applied to a wide area at once. When the area to which the cosmetic is to be applied is narrow, it is preferable to use the short side inclined surface 2g as shown in FIG. 6(b), which prevents the cosmetic from adhering to areas where it is not necessary to apply the cosmetic.

When applying cosmetics using the tip-side tube portion 2c, cosmetics may adhere to the outer surface of the tip-side tube portion 2c. However, by attaching a cover 6 as shown in FIG. 1, it is possible to prevent the surrounding area from being soiled by cosmetics adhering to the tip-side tube portion 2c.

If you want to apply makeup by drawing thin lines like eyeliner, you can remove the applicator 5 from the rotating member 4 and use the applicator 5g. Here, the handle 5e on the applicator 5 is curved so that the central part in the vertical direction protrudes most radially outward, and when you move the applicator 5 downward with your fingers hooked on the upper part of the handle 5e, the central part acts as a finger hook. In other words, it is possible to prevent the fingers hooked on the handle 5e from slipping, making it easier to remove the applicator 5. When applying makeup using the removed applicator 5, you can use the applicator 5 alone as shown in FIG. 3(b), or you can hold the applicator 5 on the rotating member 4 by fitting the fitting part 5d into the groove part 4d with the applicator 5g facing downward as shown in FIG. 5, and apply makeup as shown in FIG. 7(a). As described above, the fitting portion 5d is connected to the vertical center of the handle portion 5e, and the distance from the fitting portion 5d to the upper end of the handle portion 5e is equal to the distance to the lower end of the handle portion 5e, so even when the applicator 5 is held by the rotating member 4 as shown in FIG. 7, the handle portion 5e can be stored inside the recess 4c, as in the case shown in FIG. 3. In addition, when the applicator 5 is held by the rotating member 4, the handle portion is longer than when the applicator 5 is used alone, so it can be held more stably.

After using the applicator 5, it can be attached to the rotating member 4 as shown in FIG. 1. In this state, the applicator 5g fits inside the recess 4c, preventing the surrounding area from being soiled by cosmetics adhering to the applicator 5g.

The storage container 1 of this embodiment also allows the dispensed cosmetic to be wiped off with a finger as shown in FIG. 7(b), making it possible to use a finger to apply makeup to the upper eyelid, etc., as in the past. In other words, with conventional jar containers, when a finger is inserted, the cosmetic often gets caught between the finger and nail, and if the nails are long, it is difficult to insert the finger inside the container, making it difficult to remove the cosmetic. However, the storage container 1 of this embodiment does not have such problems and is easy to use.

Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiment, and various modifications and changes are possible within the scope of the spirit of the present invention described in the claims unless otherwise specifically limited in the above description. Furthermore, the effects of the above embodiment are merely examples of the effects resulting from the present invention, and do not mean that the effects of the present invention are limited to the above effects.

For example, in the above-described embodiment, the recess 4c and groove 4d, and the fitting portion 5d and handle portion 5e are provided in pairs facing each other across the axis O, but the number can be changed as desired, and for example, two pairs in total may be provided at equal intervals in the circumferential direction around the axis O. In addition, the applicator 5g is not limited to the brush-like shape shown in the figure, and may be, for example, brush-like, spatula-like, or the like.

A container body having a lidded cylindrical shape and an opening;
a slide member that is in liquid-tight contact with an inner peripheral surface of the container body and is slidable in a direction along an axis of the container body, the slide member having a tip portion that defines an accommodation space communicating with the opening between the tip portion and the container body, and a base portion that is connected to the tip portion and has a first screw portion on an outer peripheral surface thereof;
