Description

The present invention relates to a frame structure, such as a shoji screen, that is constructed by joining multiple frame members together, and to fittings that include a frame structure.

In a shoji door, a type of fitting that has vertical frames extending in the up-down direction and horizontal frames extending in the left-right direction, for example, the small end of the horizontal frame faces the projected surface of the vertical frame and is joined to each other. A clamping fin is provided on one edge of the projected surface on the inner periphery of each of the vertical frame and horizontal frame, and a ridge is attached to the other edge, and the peripheral edge of the surface material is clamped between the clamping fin and the ridge (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The vertical frame has a protruding edge engagement piece for attaching the edge to it on its front surface. Therefore, if the horizontal frame and vertical frame are joined together with the edge engagement piece still attached, there is a concern that the joining state between them may become unstable, such as the vertical frame being tilted relative to the horizontal frame. In other words, the horizontal frame and vertical frame are joined together with only the edge engagement piece abutting against the small end of the horizontal frame. For this reason, in the past, it was necessary to remove the edge engagement piece from the part that faces the small end of the horizontal frame, which made the manufacturing process of the shoji screen complicated. The above-mentioned problem can also occur when the horizontal frame and vertical frame are joined together with the small end of the vertical frame facing the front surface of the horizontal frame.

In view of the above, the present invention aims to provide a frame structure and fittings that can simplify manufacturing work.

In order to achieve the above object, the frame structure of the present invention is a frame structure constructed by joining a first frame member and a second frame member with the small end of the second frame member facing the inner peripheral surface of the first frame member, and a ridge engagement piece for attaching a ridge is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the first frame member at the indoor side edge , the ridge engagement piece protruding in the inner peripheral direction, and a protruding piece protruding in the same direction as the ridge engagement piece at the indoor side edge of the inner peripheral surface of the first frame member, against which one outer surface of the second frame member can abut, and the protruding dimension is larger than that of the ridge engagement piece. The first frame member is also formed so that its height is larger than the width of the first frame member, and a flange with a sealing member attached is attached to the flange engagement piece on its inner surface so that it protrudes inwardly, and the protruding piece protrudes inwardly to a position corresponding to the protruding edge portion of the flange, and an attachment is provided on the inner surface of the protruding piece to clamp a surface material between the flange and the flange via the sealing member, and a contact surface portion against which the small end of the second frame member can abut is provided corresponding to the protruding height of the flange engagement piece in the portion between the protruding piece and the flange engagement piece.

The fitting according to the present invention is characterized in that the first frame is arranged vertically, the above-mentioned frame structure is arranged so as to be openable and closable relative to the frame body with the protruding piece arranged on the exterior side of the room, and the facing surface of the edge attached to the first frame facing the room and the facing surface of the second frame facing the room are each arranged on the same plane as the facing surface of the first frame facing the room.

According to the present invention, since the first frame has an abutment surface between the protruding piece and the edge engagement piece, the end of the second frame abuts against the abutment surface and the edge engagement piece, and the outer surface of the second frame can be opposed to the inner peripheral surface of the first frame while abutting against the protruding piece. Therefore, the first frame and the second frame can be joined in a stable state without prior cutting or other processing of the first frame, which makes it possible to facilitate manufacturing operations.

For convenience, the terms "prospect direction" and "visible direction" are used below. The "prospect direction" is the direction along the depth of the fittings, as shown by arrow A in the figure. A surface along the prospect direction may be called a "prospect surface." The "visible direction" is the direction perpendicular to the prospect direction for upper and lower frames that extend horizontally. For vertical frames that extend vertically, the horizontal direction perpendicular to the prospect direction is called the "visible direction." A surface along the prospect direction may be called a "visible surface." In the following description, the direction of each component is specified in the position in which the fittings are attached to the framework.

Figures 1 to 4 show a fitting that uses a frame structure according to an embodiment of the present invention. The fitting shown here comprises a frame 10 and a door panel 20, which is a frame structure, and the door panel 20 is supported by the frame 10 in a manner that allows it to rotate around a hinge axis that runs vertically, using multiple hinges 1 interposed between the frame 10 and the door panel 20.

The frame body 10 is made up of upper and lower horizontal frames 11, 12 and left and right vertical frames 13, 14, which are framed on all four sides to form a vertically long rectangular shape. The horizontal frames 11, 12 and vertical frames 13, 14 are extruded shapes made of metal such as aluminum alloy, and each is configured to have a substantially uniform cross-sectional shape along its entire length in the longitudinal direction. The upper horizontal frame (hereinafter referred to as the upper frame 11) is configured with a hollow upper frame base 11a and an abutting upper fin portion 11b that protrudes from the edge of the upper frame base 11a, which faces the interior side of the room, toward the inner periphery. The lower horizontal frame (hereinafter referred to as the lower frame 12) is configured with a lower frame base 12a and an abutting lower fin portion 12b that protrudes from the edge of the lower frame base 12a, which faces the interior side of the room, toward the inner periphery. The lower frame base 12a has a dimension along the front direction that is almost the same as that of the upper frame base 11a, and is generally hollow and opens to the bottom. Frame screw holes 15 are provided in the hollow parts of the horizontal frames 11 and 12. The vertical frames 13 and 14 have cross-sectional shapes that are almost symmetrical to each other on the left and right, and are configured with hollow vertical frame bases 13a and 14a and abutting vertical fins 13b and 14b that protrude from the edges on the inner side of the vertical frame bases 13a and 14a that are on the inside of the room toward the inner side. The abutting upper fins 11b, the abutting lower fins 12b, and the abutting vertical fins 13b and 14b have tension material attachment parts 16 provided on the visible surfaces facing the outside of the room at the protruding edges of each. The twill material attachment parts 16 are provided so as to protrude from the visible surfaces of the respective fins 11b, 12b, 13b, and 14b to the outside of the room. Although not shown in the figure, these horizontal frames 11, 12 and vertical frames 13, 14 are connected to each other by abutting the small ends of the horizontal frames 11, 12 against the visible surfaces on the inner circumference side of the vertical frames 13, 14, and then screwing frame mounting screws (not shown) into the frame screw holes 15 of the horizontal frames 11, 12 through the vertical frames 13, 14. The twill material attachment parts 16 mentioned above have twill material 17 attached so as to be continuous around the four sides.

The door panel 20 is constructed by attaching upper and lower horizontal frames (second frames) 22, 23 and left and right vertical frames (first frames) 24, 25 to the four periphery of a face material 21 such as a glass plate having a vertically long rectangular shape. In this embodiment, three hinges 1 are provided between the vertical frame 14 located on the left side as viewed from the outside and the vertical frame 25, and the door panel 20 is supported rotatably around these hinges 1 so that it protrudes to the outside of the room relative to the frame body 10. A lock 2 is provided between the vertical frame 13 located on the right side as viewed from the outside and the vertical frame 24, and a door handle 3 for releasing the lock 2 is provided on the vertical frame 24 located on the right side as viewed from the outside. The horizontal frames 22, 23 and vertical frames 24, 25 that make up the door panel 20 are extruded shapes made of metal such as aluminum alloy, and each is configured to have a substantially uniform cross-sectional shape along its entire length in the longitudinal direction.

The horizontal frames 22, 23 have cross-sectional shapes that are almost symmetrical between the top and bottom, and are configured with a hollow horizontal frame base 22a, 23a and a clamping fin portion 22b, 23b that protrudes from the edge of the horizontal frame base 22a, 23a on the outside of the room toward the inner circumference. As shown in Figure 5, the horizontal frame base 22a, 23a is surrounded by two horizontal projection walls 41, 42 and two horizontal observation walls 43, 44, and has screw holes 45 at each of the four corners of the hollow portion. The horizontal frame base 22a, 23a has two horizontal push-edge engagement pieces 46, 47 provided on the horizontal projection wall portion 41 on the inner circumference. The horizontal spur engagement pieces 46, 47 are for attaching the horizontal spur 50 to the interior edge of the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a, and protrude from the interior edge of the surface 41a of the horizontal projection wall 41 and from the approximately central portion of the horizontal projection wall 41 toward the inner periphery. The horizontal spur engagement piece provided on the interior edge (hereinafter referred to as the inner horizontal spur engagement piece 46 when distinguishing between them) protrudes toward the inner periphery, and then the protruding edge is bent at an approximately right angle toward the outside of the room. The horizontal spur engagement piece provided in the center (hereinafter referred to as the middle horizontal spur engagement piece 47 when distinguishing between them) protrudes toward the inner periphery, and then the protruding edge is bent at an approximately right angle toward the room. As is clear from the figure, the protruding dimension of the center horizontal edge engagement piece 47 and the inner horizontal edge engagement piece 46 is sufficiently smaller than the protruding dimension of the clamping fin portions 22b, 23b described below, and the protruding dimension of the center horizontal edge engagement piece 47 is slightly smaller than the protruding dimension of the inner horizontal edge engagement piece 46. To give a specific example, the protruding dimension of the center horizontal edge engagement piece 47 is about twice the plate thickness of the horizontal frames 22, 23, and the protruding dimension of the inner horizontal edge engagement piece 46 is set to about three times the plate thickness of the horizontal frames 22, 23.

The horizontal ridges 50 attached to the horizontal frames 22, 23 via these horizontal ridge engagement pieces 46, 47 are extruded shapes made of metal such as aluminum alloy, and are configured to have a substantially uniform cross-sectional shape over the entire length along the longitudinal direction. In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 2 and 5 (c), a horizontal ridge 50 having a ridge base plate portion 51, a panel support plate portion 52, and an engagement plate portion 53 is applied. The ridge base plate portion 51 is disposed along the horizontal visible wall portion 43 on the interior side of the horizontal frame base portions 22a, 23a. The panel support plate portion 52 is bent at a substantially right angle from the edge portion on the inner periphery of the ridge base plate portion 51 toward the outside of the room, and then further bent toward the outer periphery. A dry inner seal member 5 is attached to the extended edge of the panel support plate portion 52. The engagement plate portion 53 extends from the edge of the outer periphery of the press base plate portion 51 toward the outside of the room, gradually slanting toward the outer periphery. An engagement groove 54 is provided at the corner portion between the press base plate portion 51 and the engagement plate portion 53, into which the bent portion of the inner horizontal press engagement piece 46 can engage. This horizontal press 50 is attached to the horizontal frame base portions 22a, 23a in a state where it protrudes from the indoor side of the horizontal frame base portions 22a, 23a toward the inner periphery by inserting the extended edge of the engagement plate portion 53 between the middle horizontal press engagement piece 47 and the horizontal projection wall portion 41 and engaging the bent portion of the inner horizontal press engagement piece 46 with the engagement groove 54.

The clamping fins 22b, 23b have approximately the same protruding dimension as the horizontal ridges 50 attached to the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a, and have a seal mounting section 48 on the facing surface of the protruding edge that faces the interior of the room. The seal mounting section 48 is for mounting a dry outer seal member 6 to the part that faces the interior of the room, and is provided so as to protrude into the room from the facing surface of the clamping fins 22b, 23b.

The vertical frames 24, 25 have cross-sectional shapes that are almost symmetrical on the left and right, and are configured with a hollow vertical frame base 24a, 25a and protruding pieces 24b, 25b that protrude from the outside edge of the vertical frame base 24a, 25a toward the inner periphery. The vertical frame base 24a, 25a is surrounded by two vertical projection walls 61, 62 and two vertical visible walls 63, 64 to form an approximately rectangular shape. As is clear from Fig. 7, the vertical frame bases 24a, 25a are configured such that the dimension along the projection direction is larger than that of the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a by approximately the plate thickness of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b, and when the facing surfaces 43a, 64a facing the room are positioned on the same plane, the facing surface 44a facing the outside of the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a can be abutted against the facing surfaces of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b facing the room (hereinafter referred to as the inner surfaces 24c, 25c of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b). The vertical frame bases 24a, 25a have two vertical push-edge engagement pieces 65, 66 on the surface (inner peripheral surface) 61b of the vertical projection wall portion 61, which is the inner peripheral side. The two vertical embossing engagement pieces 65, 66 are for attaching the vertical embossing 70 to the interior edge of the vertical frame base 24a, 25a, and are composed of an interior vertical embossing engagement piece 65 on the interior side and a middle vertical embossing engagement piece 66 in the center, similar to the horizontal embossing engagement pieces 46, 47 provided on the horizontal frames 22, 23. The protruding dimensions of the middle vertical embossing engagement piece 66 and the inner vertical embossing engagement piece 65 are sufficiently smaller than the protruding dimensions of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b described below, and the protruding dimension of the middle vertical embossing engagement piece 66 is slightly smaller than the protruding dimension of the inner vertical embossing engagement piece 65. To give a specific example, the protruding dimension of the middle vertical embossing engagement piece 66 is about twice the plate thickness of the vertical frames 24, 25, and the protruding dimension of the inner vertical embossing engagement piece 65 is set to about three times the plate thickness of the vertical frames 24, 25.

The vertical ridge 70, which is attached to the vertical frames 24, 25 via these vertical ridge engagement pieces 65, 66, is an extruded material formed from a metal such as an aluminum alloy, and is configured to have a substantially uniform cross-sectional shape along its entire length in the longitudinal direction. In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 3 and 6, a vertical ridge 70 is used that has a ridge base plate portion 71, a panel support plate portion 72, and an engagement plate portion 73, similar to the horizontal ridge 50. An engagement groove 74 is provided at the protruding corner portion of the ridge base plate portion 71 and the engagement plate portion 73 in the vertical ridge 70, with which the bent portion of the inner vertical ridge engagement piece 65 can engage. A dry inner seal member 5 is attached to the extended edge portion of the panel support plate portion 72. The vertical ridge 70 is attached to the vertical frame bases 24a, 25a by inserting the tip of the engagement plate portion 73 between the center vertical ridge engagement piece 66 and the vertical projection wall portion 61 and engaging the bent portion of the inner vertical ridge engagement piece 65 with the engagement groove 54, so that it protrudes from the interior side of the vertical frame bases 24a, 25a toward the inner circumference.

The protruding pieces 24b, 25b have approximately the same protruding dimension as the vertical ridge 70 attached to the vertical frame base 24a, 25a, and the inner surfaces 24c, 25c are approximately flat, with abutment surface fins (abutment surface) 67 at the base end. The abutment surface fins 67 are thin plates that protrude approximately at a right angle from the inner surfaces 24c, 25c of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b toward the inner vertical ridge engagement piece 65 located inside the room. The surface 67a located on the inner periphery of the abutment surface fins 67 has a dimension from the vertical projection wall 61 that is approximately the same as the protruding height of the inner vertical ridge engagement piece 65, and is configured to be located on the same plane as the protruding end surface 65a of the inner vertical ridge engagement piece 65. The protruding pieces 24b, 25b having the above-described configuration form opposing surface portions 24d, 25d that are substantially flat on the inner surfaces 24c, 25c at the tip side of the contact surface fin portion 67.

Attachments 80 are attached to the inner surfaces 24c, 25c of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. The attachments 80 sandwich the surface material 21 between the vertical ridges 70, and, like the vertical ridges 70, are made of extruded material formed from metals such as aluminum alloys. In this embodiment, an attachment 80 having a seal mounting plate 81, an engagement groove 82, and an engagement plate 83 is used. The seal mounting plate 81 is disposed along the opposing surfaces 24d, 25d of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b, and has a length approximately equal to the distance from the abutment surface fin 67 to the protruding end edge of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. A seal mounting portion 84 is provided on the visible surface of the protruding edge that faces the room. The seal mounting portion 84 is for mounting the dry outer seal member 6 on the portion facing the interior of the room, and is configured to have the same configuration as the seal mounting portion 48 provided on the clamping fin portions 22b, 23b of the horizontal frames 22, 23. The engagement groove 82 is the portion into which the abutment surface fin portion 67 is inserted when the seal mounting plate portion 81 is abutted against the opposing surface portions 24d, 25d of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. The engagement plate portion 83 extends from the surface located on the outer periphery of the abutment surface fin portion 67 toward the interior side of the room, and then extends at an angle toward the outer periphery. The engagement plate portion 83 is formed to have a dimension such that the extended edge portion can abut against the center vertical push edge engagement piece 66 when the seal mounting plate portion 81 is abutted against the opposing surface portions 24d, 25d of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b.

The above-mentioned attachment 80 is attached to the vertical frames 24, 25 by abutting the extended edge of the engagement plate 83 against the center vertical edge engagement piece 66 and inserting the abutment surface fin 67 into the engagement groove 82, with the seal mounting plate 81 abutting against the opposing surface 24d, 25d of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. However, the attachment 80 to be attached to the vertical frames 24, 25 has a dimension that is twice as short as the dimension along the length of the vertical frames 24, 25 compared to the dimension along the top and bottom of the horizontal frames 22, 23.

The horizontal and vertical frames 22, 23 and 24, 25 constructed as described above are joined together by facing the small ends of the horizontal and vertical frames 24, 25 to the inner surfaces 61b of the vertical frames 24, 25 as shown in Figures 8 to 12, with the small ends of the horizontal and vertical frames 22, 23 extending in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and then screwing the mounting screws 90 into the screw holes 45 of the horizontal and vertical frames 22, 23 through the vertical frames 24, 25. In more detail, the vertical projection wall 62 located on the outer periphery of the vertical frame bases 24a, 25a has a screw through hole 62a through which the head 90a of the mounting screw 90 can be inserted, and the vertical projection wall 61 located on the inner periphery has a screw insertion hole 61a through which the shaft 90b of the mounting screw 90 can be inserted but the head 90a cannot be inserted. The screw through holes 62a and screw insertion holes 61a are provided at positions that face the screw holes 45 of the horizontal frames 22, 23 when the facing surfaces 43a of the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a that face the room and the facing surfaces 64a of the vertical frame bases 24a, 25a that face the room are positioned on the same plane. Therefore, when the mounting screws 90 that pass through the screw through holes 62a are screwed into the four screw holes 45, the facing surfaces 43a, 64a that face the room are positioned on the same plane, and the facing surfaces of the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a that face the outside of the room are abutted against the opposing surfaces 24d, 25d of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. Furthermore, the portions of the small end portions of the horizontal frames 22, 23 located on the indoor side abut against the inner vertical edge engagement pieces 65 of the vertical frames 24, 25, while the portions located on the outdoor side abut against the abutment surface fin portions 67 of the vertical frames 24, 25. Therefore, the small end portions of the horizontal frames 22, 23 abut against the vertical frames 24, 25 in a stable state, eliminating concerns that problems such as the vertical frames 24, 25 becoming tilted relative to the horizontal frames 22, 23 may occur. Moreover, the above-mentioned joint state is achieved by providing the abutment surface fin portion 67 on the inner surface 24c, 25c of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b when the vertical frames 24, 25 are molded, but not providing a portion that protrudes beyond the abutment surface fin portion 67 into the room over the entire length of the opposing surface portion 24d, 25d on the inner surface 24c, 25c of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b, which is located at the tip side of the abutment surface fin portion 67. This means that no machining such as cutting is required after the vertical frames 24, 25 are molded, and there is no concern that the manufacturing process will become complicated.

After the horizontal frames 22, 23 and the vertical frames 24, 25 are joined together, the face material 21 is placed on the inner peripheral portion with the outer seal member 6 attached to the seal mounting portion 48 of the horizontal frames 22, 23 and the seal mounting portion 48 of the attachment 80. If the horizontal ridges 50 are attached to the horizontal frames 22, 23 from this state, the face material 21 can be sandwiched between the clamping fin portions 22b, 23b and the horizontal ridges 50 via the outer seal member 6 and the inner seal member 5. Similarly, if the vertical ridges 70 are attached to the vertical frames 24, 25, the face material 21 can be sandwiched between the attachment 80 and the vertical ridges 70 via the outer seal member 6 and the inner seal member 5. As mentioned above, the attachment 80 to which the outer seal member 6 is attached is twice as long as the vertical dimension of the horizontal frames 22, 23 compared to the longitudinal dimension of the vertical frames 24, 25, so it does not get in the way when the small end portions of the horizontal frames 22, 23 are brought into contact with the inner vertical edge engagement pieces 65 and contact surface fin portions 67 of the vertical frames 24, 25.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, a resin spacer member 100 is interposed between the small end of the horizontal frame 22, 23 and the vertical projection wall portion 61 of the vertical frame 24, 25, to fill the gap between the small end of the horizontal frame 22, 23 and the vertical projection wall portion 61 located on the inner periphery of the vertical frame base portion 24a, 25a. The spacer member 100 is formed by integrally molding a flange portion 110 and an insertion portion (second limiting portion) 120. The flange portion 110 is configured in a substantially rectangular shape with dimensions that cover all the screw holes 45 provided in the horizontal frame base portion 22a, 23a and can abut simultaneously against the two horizontal projection wall portions 41, 42. Screw insertion holes 110a are formed in the portions of the flange portion 110 that correspond to the screw holes 45. The dimension of the flange portion 110 along the projection direction is set to a dimension that allows it to fit between the abutment surface fin portion 67 and the inner vertical embossing engagement piece 65. As is clear from Figures 11 and 12, a recess 111 and a positioning protrusion (first limiting portion) 112 are provided in the flange portion 110 at a portion corresponding to the middle vertical embossing engagement piece 66 of the vertical stile base portions 24a, 25a. The recess 111 is for accommodating the middle vertical embossing engagement piece 66 so that the surface of the flange portion 110 can abut against the vertical projection wall portion 61 on the inner periphery side of the vertical stile base portions 24a, 25a. The positioning protrusion 112 restricts the relative movement of the spacer member 100 in the projection direction relative to the vertical stiles 24, 25 by abutting against the side surface of the middle vertical edge engagement piece 66 located on the exterior side when the flange portion 110 is abutted against the vertical projection wall portion 61 on the inner periphery side of the vertical stile base portion 24a, 25a between the abutment surface fin portion 67 and the inner vertical edge engagement piece 65. The insertion portion 120 is in the form of a block having dimensions that allow it to be inserted into the hollow portion of the horizontal stile base portion 22a, 23a. The dimension of the insertion portion 120 in the projection direction is approximately the same as that of the flange portion 110. The dimension of the insertion portion 120 in the vertical direction is set so that it can abut against the peripheral walls of the screw holes 45 adjacent to each other on the top and bottom at the same time. In the insertion portion 120, an upper protrusion 121 and a lower protrusion 122 are provided in the portion between adjacent screw holes 45 in the projection direction so that they can simultaneously abut against the respective peripheral walls.

When the spacer member 100 is attached, the gap between the vertical projection wall portion 61 of the vertical frames 24, 25 and the small end of the horizontal frames 22, 23 is filled by the spacer member 100, making it possible to prevent bending moment from occurring in the shaft portion 90b of the mounting screw 90. Furthermore, the position in the projection direction is determined between the spacer member 100 and the vertical frames 24, 25 by the positioning protrusion 112, and the position in the projection direction and the sight direction is determined between the spacer member 100 and the horizontal frames 22, 23 by fitting the insertion portion 120 into the hollow portion of the horizontal frame base portion 22a, 23a. As a result, the spacer member 100 makes it possible to easily and accurately join the horizontal frames 22, 23 and the vertical frames 24, 25, facilitating the manufacturing process and improving the joint strength between the horizontal frames 22, 23 and the vertical frames 24, 25.

In the above-mentioned embodiment, the abutment surface fin portion 67 is provided so as to protrude from the inner surface 24c, 25c of the protruding piece 24b, 25b toward the vertical edge engagement piece 65, 66, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, as shown in the modified example in Figures 13 and 14, it is also possible to provide the abutment surface fin portion (abutment surface portion) 167 on the surface (inner peripheral surface) 61b of the vertical projection wall portion 61 on the inner peripheral side of the vertical frame base 24a, 25a of the vertical frame 124, 125. That is, in the modified example, the abutment surface fin portion 167 is provided from the portion between the protruding piece 24b, 25b and the vertical edge engagement piece 65, 66 on the surface 61b of the vertical frame base 24a, 25a in the same direction as the protruding piece 24b, 25b, and to the same protruding height as the vertical edge engagement piece 65, 66. The protruding edge of the abutment surface fin portion 167 protrudes slightly toward the outside of the room. The protruding pieces 24b, 25b form opposing surface portions 24d, 25d that are almost flat on the inner surfaces 24c, 25c at the tip side of the abutment surface fin portion 67.

The attachment 180 applied in this modified example is configured to have a seal mounting plate portion 181 and an engagement plate portion 182. The seal mounting plate portion 181 is arranged along the opposing surfaces 24d, 25d of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. The seal mounting plate portion 181 is provided with a seal mounting portion 183 on the visible surface facing the interior of the room at the protruding edge portion. The seal mounting portion 183 is for mounting a dry outer seal member 6 to the portion facing the interior of the room. The engagement plate portion 182 is bent in such a way that it gradually slopes outward from the edge portion on the outer periphery of the seal mounting plate portion 181 toward the interior side of the room, and then gradually slopes outward toward the exterior side of the room, and can be attached between the protruding pieces 24b, 25b and the abutment surface fin portion 167. When the engagement plate portion 182 is abutted against the surface 61b, the seal mounting plate portion 181 is configured to have approximately the same protruding height as the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. The vertical ridge 70 used in the modified example has the same configuration as in the embodiment. In addition, the same reference numerals are used for the same configurations in the modified example as in the embodiment.

Even in the modified example configured as above, with the small ends of the horizontal frames 22, 23 and the vertical frames 24, 25 extending in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the small ends of the horizontal frames 22, 23 are opposed to the surface 61b on the inner periphery of the vertical frames 24, 25, and from this state, the horizontal frames 22, 23 and the vertical frames 24, 25 are joined to each other by screwing the mounting screws 90 into the screw holes 45 of the horizontal frames 22, 23 through the vertical frames 24, 25. At this time, the facing surfaces 43a, 64a of the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a facing the room are positioned on the same plane, and the facing surfaces of the horizontal frame bases 22a, 23a facing the room are abutted against the facing surfaces 24d, 25d of the protruding pieces 24b, 25b. The portions of the small end portions of the horizontal frames 22, 23 located on the indoor side abut against the inner vertical edge engagement pieces 65 of the vertical frames 24, 25, while the portions located on the outdoor side abut against the abutment surface fin portions 167 of the vertical frames 24, 25. Therefore, the small end portions of the horizontal frames 22, 23 abut against the vertical frames 24, 25 in a stable state, eliminating concerns that problems such as the vertical frames 24, 25 becoming tilted relative to the horizontal frames 22, 23 may occur. Moreover, the above-mentioned joint state is achieved by providing the abutment surface fin portion 167 on the surface 61b of the vertical frame base portion 24a, 25a when the vertical frame 24, 25 is molded, while not providing a portion that protrudes beyond the position of the abutment fin portion 67 into the room on the entire length of the opposing surface portion 24d, 25d that is on the tip side of the abutment surface fin portion 167 on the inner surface 24c, 25c of the protruding piece 24b, 25b. This means that no machining such as cutting is required after molding the vertical frame 24, 25, and there is no concern that the manufacturing process will become complicated.

In the above-mentioned embodiment and modified example, the door panel 20 is exemplified as the frame structure, but it can be applied to other things such as a sliding door for a hinged window, as long as it is constructed by joining multiple frame members. In addition, the frame structure is constructed with the first frame member being the vertical frame 24, 25 and the second frame member being the horizontal frame 22, 23, but the frame structure may be constructed with the first frame member being the horizontal frame 22, 23 and the second frame member being the vertical frame 24, 25, or it is also possible to construct the frame structure with either the first frame member or the second frame member being the central rail. Furthermore, the frame member is exemplified as being made of a metal such as an aluminum alloy, but it may be made of a resin or a composite structure of metal and resin. In addition, the spacer member is exemplified as being made of a resin, but it may be made of a metal such as die casting.

In the above-mentioned embodiment and modified example, the attachment 80 is arranged on the protruding pieces 24b, 25b, but it is also possible to omit the attachment 80 and support the surface material by applying a wet-type sealing material. Furthermore, although the fittings are exemplified in which the protruding pieces 24b, 25b are arranged on the outside of the room, the fittings may be configured to arrange the protruding pieces 24b, 25b on the inside of the room. Furthermore, although the abutment surface fin portion 67 is exemplified as the abutment surface portion, it is not necessarily required that the abutment surface portion is shaped like a thin plate. In addition, since the horizontal and vertical frames are joined with the facing surfaces facing the room being positioned on the same plane, it is possible to ensure watertightness and airtightness between the frame body 10 by a series of seal materials 17, but the present invention is not limited to this.

Furthermore, in the above-mentioned embodiment, the second frame material is exemplified as being configured to sandwich the face material between the clamping fin portion and the edge, but this is not necessarily limited to this. For example, it is also possible to form a clamping fin portion integrally with the interior side of the horizontal frame base portions 22a, 23a, and to sandwich the face material between the two clamping fin portions. Furthermore, although the first frame material and the second frame material are exemplified as having hollow frame base portions 22a, 23a, 24a, 25a, they do not necessarily have to be configured to have hollow portions.

As described above, the frame structure of the present invention is a frame structure constructed by joining a first frame member and a second frame member with the small end of the second frame member facing the inner surface of the first frame member, and is characterized in that a flange engagement piece for attaching a flange is provided protruding inwardly from one edge portion of the inner surface of the first frame member, and a protruding piece against which one outer surface of the second frame member can abut is provided from the other edge portion of the inner surface of the first frame member, the protruding piece protruding in the same direction as the flange engagement piece and having a protruding dimension larger than that of the flange engagement piece, and a contact surface portion against which the small end of the second frame member can abut is provided in the portion between the protruding piece and the flange engagement piece, the contact surface portion being provided corresponding to the protruding height of the flange engagement piece.
According to this invention, since the abutment surface is provided in the portion of the first frame between the protruding piece and the edge engagement piece, the small end of the second frame abuts against the abutment surface and the edge engagement piece, and the outer surface of the second frame can be opposed to the inner peripheral surface of the first frame while abutting against the protruding piece. Therefore, the first frame and the second frame can be joined in a stable state without performing any cutting or other processing on the first frame in advance, which makes it possible to facilitate the manufacturing work.

The present invention is also characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, the abutment surface portion protrudes toward the edge engagement piece from a position on the inner surface of the protruding piece corresponding to the protruding height of the edge engagement piece.
According to this invention, the contact surface portion provided on the protruding piece can be brought into contact with the small end portion of the second frame member.

The present invention is further characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, the abutment surface portion protrudes from the inner surface of the first frame material in the same direction as the protruding piece and to the same protruding height as the edge engagement piece.
According to this invention, the abutment surface portion provided on the inner peripheral surface of the first frame member can be abutted against the small end portion of the second frame member.

The present invention is also characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, a flat opposing surface portion is provided along the entire length of the first frame member on the inner surface of the protruding piece, which is located closer to the tip than the abutment surface portion, and the second frame member is joined to the first frame member with one outer surface abutting against the opposing surface portion and the small end portion abutting against the abutment surface portion and the edge engagement piece.
According to this invention, since the inner surface of the protruding piece is provided with a flat facing surface, the outer surface of the second frame can be abutted against this abutment plane. Therefore, the first frame and the second frame can be joined in a more stable state. The flat facing surface does not necessarily have to be configured flat so that the entire surface is located on the same plane, and it does not matter if there are irregularities as long as the protruding height from the inner surface of the protruding piece (the protruding height toward the room side in the embodiment) is smaller than the abutment surface.

The present invention is also characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, an attachment with a sealing member attached is arranged on the inner surface of the protruding piece of the first frame, and a ledge with a sealing member attached is attached to the ledge engagement piece so as to face the attachment, and a surface material is sandwiched between the attachment and the ledge via the respective sealing members.
According to this invention, it is possible to sandwich the face material between the seal member of the embossing and avoid direct contact between the face material and the protruding piece without using a wet seal member.

The present invention is also characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, a spacer member is arranged between the inner circumferential surface of the first frame member and the end portion of the second frame member so as to abut against these inner circumferential surface and the end portion.
According to this invention, the inner peripheral surface and the fore-end portion can be brought into close contact with each other via the spacer member, which is advantageous in terms of bonding strength.

The present invention is also characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, the spacer member is provided with a first limiting portion which abuts against the first frame member to limit relative movement in a direction along the inner surface.
According to this invention, by abutting the first limiting portion against the first frame, the positioning of the spacer member relative to the first frame can be easily carried out.

The present invention is also characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, the spacer member is provided with a second limiting portion which abuts against the second frame member to limit relative movement in a direction along the inner surface.
According to this invention, by abutting the second limiting portion against the second frame, the positioning of the spacer member relative to the second frame can be easily carried out.

The present invention is also characterized in that, in the above-mentioned frame structure, the second frame has a hollow portion opening at the small end, and the second limiting portion is configured to fit into the hollow portion of the second frame.
According to this invention, the relative movement of the second frame member with respect to the first frame member is restricted, making it possible to suppress misalignment and twisting after the frames are joined.

Furthermore, the building fixture of the present invention is characterized in that the first frame member is arranged in the vertical direction, the above-mentioned frame structure is arranged so as to be openable and closable relative to the frame body with the protruding piece positioned on the outside of the room, and the visible surface of the first frame member facing the interior of the room is arranged on the same plane as the visible surface of the second frame member facing the interior of the room.
