Description

The present invention relates to a heat shielding structure used in ATS ground coils.

Conventionally, ATS (Automatic Train Stop Device) has been used as one of the safety devices for train operation. In general, ATS receives signals from a ground coil installed on the ground along the rails via an on-board coil installed on the train, and issues alarms and controls the operation of the train's brake equipment based on information obtained from the received signals. Since the ground coil is exposed to the outdoor environment, some ATSs have measures in place to protect against falling snow, such as the invention in Patent Document 1.

Here, there are concerns that some ATS ground coils will break down after a period of use that is shorter than their expected useful life, which will shorten the replacement cycle and result in large repair costs. It has been found that one of the causes of this is that the surroundings and inside of the ATS ground coil become hot due to the outdoor environment, such as exposure to direct sunlight, which causes some of the electronic components used in the ATS ground coil to break down, leading to the failure of the ATS ground coil.
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to suppress a rise in temperature of an ATS ground coil.

(Mode of the Invention)
The following aspects of the invention are illustrative of the configuration of the present invention, and are described in terms of items to facilitate understanding of the various configurations of the present invention. Each item does not limit the technical scope of the present invention, and the technical scope of the present invention may include any embodiment in which some of the components of each item are replaced or deleted, or other components are added, while taking into account the best mode for carrying out the invention.

(1) A heat-shielding structure for an ATS ground coil, the ground coil body of which is installed along a rail on a sleeper via a mounting base, the heat-shielding structure for an ATS ground coil including a cover member including a roof portion that covers the entire ground coil body from above in a plan view, and front and rear portions that are formed continuously from the roof portion and cover at least a portion of both sides of the ground coil body in a direction parallel to the extension direction of the rail, the front and rear portions being provided with ventilation openings consisting of openings or notches.

The heat shielding structure of the ATS ground coil described in this section includes a cover member having a roof portion and front and rear portions, and the roof portion of the cover member has a size and shape that covers the entire ground coil body of the ATS ground coil from above in a plan view. Therefore, direct sunlight is blocked from at least above the ground coil body, and the temperature rise of the ground coil body caused by direct sunlight is suppressed. In addition, the front and rear portions of the cover member are formed continuously from the roof portion and cover at least a part of both sides of the ground coil body in the direction parallel to the extension direction of the rail, so that direct sunlight from the extension direction of the rail is also blocked. Moreover, since the front and rear portions are provided with vents consisting of openings or notches, air flows around the ground coil body located inside the cover member from the vents of one front and rear portion to the vents of the other front and rear portion, especially when a train passes over the ATS ground coil. This improves heat dissipation performance, and the temperature rise of the ground coil body is more effectively suppressed.

(2) In the above (1), a heat insulating structure for an ATS ground coil includes a fixing means for fixing the cover member to the mounting base without interfering with the ground coil main body.
The heat shielding structure of the ATS ground coil described in this section further includes a fixing means for fixing the cover member to the mounting base of the ATS ground coil on which the ground coil main body is installed without interfering with the ground coil main body. This makes it possible to easily attach the cover member to an existing ATS ground coil in which the ground coil main body is installed via a mounting base, without making any changes to the ground coil main body.

(3) In the above paragraph (2), the mounting base fixes the ground coil body to the sleeper, and the fixing means includes a screw seat fixed to the mounting base and a number of long bolts whose one ends are connected to the roof portion and whose other ends are inserted into the screw seat at a position that avoids the sleeper, and the heat insulating structure of the ATS ground coil, in which the penetration length of the long bolts into the screw seat is adjustable.

The heat shielding structure of the ATS ground coil described in this section is applied to an ATS ground coil having a structure in which the mounting base fixes the ground coil body to the sleeper, and the fixing means includes a screw seat and a plurality of long bolts. The screw seat is fixed to the mounting base of the ATS ground coil, and each of the plurality of long bolts has one end connected to the roof part and the other end inserted into the screw seat at a position that avoids the sleeper. In other words, the roof part is supported by the plurality of long bolts inserted into the screw seat so that the roof part is positioned further above the ground coil body installed on the sleeper via the mounting base. Furthermore, the penetration length of the other end of the plurality of long bolts into the screw seat is adjustable, and the penetrated part does not come into contact with the sleeper. Therefore, the installation height of the roof part connected to one end side can be adjusted to any height by adjusting the penetration length of the other end side of the long bolt. As a result, the height of the space between the mounting base to which the screw seat is fixed and the roof part can be adjusted, so that it can be adapted to various sizes and shapes of ground coil bodies installed in that space, improving versatility.

(4) In the above items (1) to (3), the roof portion is in the form of a plate bent with a bending line parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers, so that the bending line is located at the upper end.
In the heat shielding structure of the ATS ground coil described in this section, the roof part of the cover member is in the shape of a plate folded at a folding line parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers, and the folding line is located at the upper end. In other words, it has a so-called gable roof shape with the extension direction of the sleepers as the gable side. As a result, compared to when the roof part is flat, dirt that has adhered to the roof is more easily washed away by rainwater, etc., and air convection is more easily generated inside the cover member, so that both the adhesion of dirt and the rise in temperature are suppressed.

(5) In the above items (1) to (3), the cover member has a spherical shape with its upper end located approximately at the center position in a plan view.
In the heat shielding structure of the ATS ground coil described in this section, the cover member is spherical with the upper end located approximately at the center in plan view. That is, the cover member extends obliquely downward or downward while curving from the approximately center in plan view toward the periphery, covering not only the upper part of the ground coil body but also the entire periphery of the ground coil body in plan view, at least a part of the range from the upper part. As a result, the roof part and the front and rear parts are integrally formed, which more efficiently blocks direct sunlight and makes it easier for dirt to flow away with rainwater, etc., thereby suppressing both temperature rise and adhesion of dirt. Moreover, the curved spherical shape of the cover member improves rigidity.

(6) In the above items (1) to (4), the cover member is formed continuously from the roof portion and includes a side portion covering at least a portion of both sides of the ground coil main body in a direction parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers.
In the heat shielding structure of the ATS ground coil described in this section, the cover member includes a side portion in addition to the roof portion and the front and rear portions, and the side portion is formed continuously from the roof portion and covers at least a part of both sides of the ground coil body in the direction parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers. This not only blocks direct sunlight from the extension direction of the sleepers, but also makes it easier for air convection to occur inside the cover member, thereby further suppressing the temperature rise of the ground coil body.

(7) A heat insulating structure for an ATS ground coil according to any one of (1) to (6) above, in which a heat insulating paint is applied to the cover member.
The heat-insulating structure of the ATS ground coil described in this section has a heat-insulating paint applied to the cover member, which further suppresses the temperature rise of the ground coil body arranged inside the cover member.

As the present invention is configured as described above, it is possible to suppress the temperature rise of the ATS ground coil.

Hereinafter, the embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Here, detailed descriptions of the same or corresponding parts as those in the prior art will be omitted, and the same or corresponding parts are indicated by the same reference numerals throughout the drawings.
Fig. 1 shows a heat insulating structure 2 for an ATS ground coil according to a first embodiment of the present invention, which is applied to an ATS ground coil 60 having a structure in which a ground coil main body 62 is fixed to a sleeper 82 via a mounting base 64. Note that in Fig. 1, a rail 80 on the sleeper 82 is shown in a cutaway view. As shown in the figure, the heat insulating structure 2 for an ATS ground coil is roughly composed of a cover member 12 that covers the ground coil main body 62, and a fixing means 30 that fixes the cover member 12.

In this embodiment, the cover member 12 includes a roof portion 14 and two front and rear portions 16. The roof portion 14 is large enough to cover the ground coil body 62 of the ATS ground coil 60 in plan view, has a so-called gable roof shape, and is a rectangular plate in plan view bent at a bending line L parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers 82. Furthermore, a plate-shaped reinforcing material 42 bent along the shape of the roof portion 14 is attached near the center of the roof portion 14 in plan view, thereby increasing its strength. The two front and rear portions 16 are integrally formed continuously from the left and right edges of the roof portion 14 in FIG. 1(b), and are rectangular plates extending downward from those edges.

That is, the two front and rear parts 16 have a surface perpendicular to the extending direction of the rail 80, in other words, a surface perpendicular to the traveling direction of the train running on the rail 80, and the ventilation holes 20 are formed on these surfaces, penetrating to the back surface. The ventilation holes 20 in this embodiment are rectangular openings corresponding to the shape of the front and rear parts 16, and the ventilation holes 20 of the two front and rear parts 16 are positioned opposite each other along the traveling direction of the train. Such a cover member 12 is preferably formed of a material that does not interfere with communication between the on-board ATS and the ground coil 60, and that takes into consideration heat insulation, heat insulation, heat dissipation, and strength, and is formed of, for example, polycarbonate resin. Furthermore, the cover member 12 in this embodiment has a heat-shielding paint 40 applied to the roof part 14 and the two front and rear parts 16, and any heat-shielding paint that takes into consideration heat insulation and the material of the cover member 12 is used for such heat-shielding paint 40.

On the other hand, the fixing means 30 of this embodiment includes four long bolts 32, two screw seats 34, and four adjustment spacers 36. The upper end side of each of the four long bolts 32 is connected to the roof part 14 of the cover member 12 via the adjustment spacer 36, and each of the four adjustment spacers 36 is attached to the roof part 14 by penetrating the roof part 14. The two screw seats 34 are fixed by bolts, nuts, etc. near the left and right ends in FIG. 1(b) away from the sleeper 82 on the back side of the mounting base 64 that fixes the ground coil main body 62 to the sleeper 82. Each screw seat 34 has two penetration holes, and the lower end side of the long bolt 32 is inserted into these penetration holes. The penetration amount of the long bolt 32 into the screw seat 34 can be adjusted by rotating the long bolt 32, and the penetration depth of the long bolt 32 is maintained by the nut on the screw seat 34.

1(b), the lower end portion of the long bolt 32 protruding downward from the screw seat 34 is separated from the sleeper 82, and a sufficient distance is ensured between the penetration hole of the screw seat 34 through which the long bolt 32 is inserted and the sleeper 82 so that the long bolt 32 will not come into contact with the sleeper 82 even if it is inserted deeper. Any material that can exhibit sufficient strength to support the cover member 12 is used for each member that constitutes the fixing means 30.
For reference, the heat insulating structure 2 of the ATS ground coil configured as described above is preferably strong enough not to break even if a person accidentally stands on the cover member 12, and has a load capacity of, for example, 200 kg or more. In addition, the heat insulating structure 2 of the ATS ground coil has an overall shape and size that does not interfere with the claws of a multiple tamper of a track maintenance machine.

Next, referring to FIG. 2, a heat shielding structure 4 for an ATS ground terminal according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. In FIG. 2, the same parts as or corresponding parts to the heat shielding structure 2 for an ATS ground terminal according to the first embodiment of the present invention are given the same reference numerals. Note that, with regard to the heat shielding structure 4 for an ATS ground terminal according to the second embodiment of the present invention, only the parts that differ from the heat shielding structure 2 for an ATS ground terminal shown in FIG. 1 will be described, and the configuration and effects of the parts that are the same as those of the heat shielding structure 2 for an ATS ground terminal will not be described. Also, as in FIG. 1, the rail 80 on the sleeper 82 is shown broken in FIG. 2.

As shown in FIG. 2, the heat shielding structure 4 of the ATS ground coil according to the second embodiment of the present invention is largely composed of a cover member 12 and a fixing means 30, and the shape of the cover member 12 is significantly different from the heat shielding structure 2 of the ATS ground coil shown in FIG. 1. That is, the cover member 12 of this embodiment is a long, biased spherical shape in a direction parallel to the extension direction of the rail 80, with the center position C in a plan view as the upper end, and the roof portion 14 including the center position C to the two front and rear portions 16 and two side portions 24 are integrally formed from smoothly curved plate material. Such a smooth spherical cover member 12 is formed by any method according to the material of the cover member 12, such as cutting or hand layup molding.

The two front and rear parts 16 are located on both sides of the roof part 14 in FIG. 2(b) (both sides in the direction parallel to the extension direction of the rail 80) and protrude diagonally downward from the roof part 14. In this embodiment, the ventilation hole 20 is formed by a notch provided from the lower side. The two side parts 24 are located on both sides of the roof part 14 in the direction parallel to the extension direction of the sleeper 82 and protrude diagonally downward from the roof part 14. The roof part 14, the two front and rear parts 16, and the two side parts 24 that constitute the cover member 12 in this way are coated with heat-shielding paint 40. The cover member 12 also has four recesses, and is connected to the upper ends of the four long bolts 32 of the fixing means 30 via the adjustment spacers 36 attached to the recesses. The other configuration of the fixing means 30 is the same as that of the heat-shielding structure 2 of the ATS ground coil shown in FIG. 1.

Next, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the heat shielding structures 6, 8 of the ATS ground terminal according to the third and fourth embodiments of the present invention will be described. In Figures 3 and 4, the same parts as or corresponding parts to the heat shielding structures 2, 4 of the ATS ground terminal according to the first and second embodiments of the present invention are given the same reference numerals. Note that, for the heat shielding structures 6, 8 of the ATS ground terminal according to the third and fourth embodiments of the present invention, only the parts that differ from the heat shielding structures 2, 4 of the ATS ground terminal shown in Figures 1 and 2 will be described, and the configuration and effects of the parts that are the same as those of the heat shielding structures 2, 4 of the ATS ground terminal will not be described. Also, in Figures 3(b) and 4(b), the left-right direction in the figure corresponds to the extension direction of the rail 80, and the direction perpendicular to the paper surface in the figure corresponds to the extension direction of the sleepers 82.

First, as shown in Figure 3, the heat shielding structure 6 for an ATS ground coil according to the third embodiment of the present invention is roughly composed of a cover member 12 and fixing means 30, and is different from the heat shielding structure 2 for an ATS ground coil in Figure 1 only in the shape of the roof portion 14 of the cover member 12. That is, the roof portion 14 of the cover member 12 in this embodiment is a rectangular plate in a plan view, and is not particularly processed, such as by bending. Then, from the edges of both sides of the roof portion 14 in the direction parallel to the extension direction of the rail 80 (the left-right direction in Figure 3 (b)), the front and rear portions 16 in the form of rectangular plates extend downward, and a vent 20 consisting of a rectangular opening is formed therein. Although the illustration in FIG. 3(b) is simplified, the configuration of the fixing means 30 and the method of fixing the cover member 12 by the fixing means 30 are generally similar to those of the fixing means 30 in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, and the cover member 12 is supported above the ground coil body 62 by multiple long bolts 32 whose penetration amount can be adjusted.

As shown in Fig. 4, the heat shielding structure 8 of the ATS ground coil according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention is roughly composed of a cover member 12 and fixing means 30, and differs from the heat shielding structure 6 of the ATS ground coil in Fig. 3 only in that the cover member 12 further has two side portions 24. That is, the cover member 12 of this embodiment has rectangular plate-shaped side portions 24 extending downward from both end edges of the roof portion 14, which is rectangular in plan view, in a direction parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers 82 (direction perpendicular to the paper surface in Fig. 4(b)). The two side portions 24 are coated with heat shielding paint 40, just like the roof portion 14 and the two front and rear portions 16. Although the illustration in FIG. 4(b) is simplified, the configuration of the fixing means 30 and the method of fixing the cover member 12 by the fixing means 30 are generally similar to those of the fixing means 30 in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, and the cover member 12 is supported above the ground coil body 62 by multiple long bolts 32 whose penetration amount can be adjusted.

Here, the heat shielding structures 2, 4, 6, 8 of the ATS ground coil according to the embodiment of the present invention are not limited to the configurations shown in Figs. 1 to 4, and for example, the shape and size of the openings and notches forming the ventilation holes 20 may be different from those shown in Figs. 1 to 4. The shape of the cover member 12 is arbitrary as long as it has a roof portion 14 large enough to cover the entire ground coil body 62 and two front and rear portions 16 in which the ventilation holes 20 are provided. Furthermore, the configuration of the fixing means 30 may be arbitrary as long as it can fix the cover member 12 without interfering with the ground coil body 62, and even in the case of a configuration using long bolts 32, the number of bolts may be different from those shown in Figs. 1 to 4. Furthermore, the cover member 12 does not need to be coated with heat shielding paint 40 as long as the required heat shielding effect is sufficiently obtained.

Now, according to the embodiment of the present invention having the above-mentioned configuration, it is possible to obtain the following effects. That is, as shown in Figures 1 to 4, the heat shielding structures 2, 4, 6, 8 of the ATS ground coil according to the first to fourth embodiments of the present invention include a cover member 12 having a roof portion 14 and front and rear portions 16, and the roof portion 14 of this cover member 12 has a size and shape that covers the entire ground coil body 62 of the ATS ground coil 60 from above in a plan view. Therefore, it is possible to block direct sunlight from at least above the ground coil body 62, and to suppress the temperature rise of the ground coil body 62 caused by direct sunlight.

The front and rear parts 16 of the cover member 12 are formed continuously from the roof part 14 and cover at least a part of both sides of the ground coil body 62 in the direction parallel to the extension direction of the rail 80, so that it can also block direct sunlight from the extension direction of the rail 80. Moreover, the front and rear parts 16 are provided with ventilation holes 20 consisting of openings or notches, so that when a train passes over the ATS ground coil 60, in particular, it is possible to generate an air flow passing around the ground coil body 62 located inside the cover member 12 from the ventilation hole 20 of one front and rear part 16 to the ventilation hole 20 of the other front and rear part 16. This improves heat dissipation performance, making it possible to more effectively suppress the temperature rise of the ground coil body 62.

The heat shielding structures 2, 4, 6, and 8 for the ATS ground coil according to the first to fourth embodiments of the present invention further include a fixing means 30, which fixes the cover member 12 to the mounting base 64 of the ATS ground coil 60 on which the ground coil body 62 is installed, without interfering with the ground coil body 62. This allows the cover member 12 to be easily attached to an existing ATS ground coil 60 in which the ground coil body 62 is installed via the mounting base 64, without making any changes to the ground coil body 62.

Furthermore, the heat shielding structures 2, 4, 6, and 8 of the ATS ground coil according to the first to fourth embodiments of the present invention are applied to the ATS ground coil 60 having a structure in which the mounting base 64 fixes the ground coil body 62 to the sleeper 82, and the fixing means 30 includes a screw seat 34 and a plurality of long bolts 32. The screw seat 34 is fixed to the mounting base 64 of the ATS ground coil 60, and each of the plurality of long bolts 32 has one end connected to the roof portion 14 and the other end inserted into the screw seat 34 at a position that avoids the sleeper 82. In other words, the roof portion 14 is supported by the plurality of long bolts 32 inserted into the screw seat 34 so that the roof portion 14 is positioned further above the ground coil body 62 installed on the sleeper 82 via the mounting base 64.

Furthermore, the penetration length of the other end of each of the long bolts 32 into the screw seat 34 is adjustable, and the penetrated portion does not come into contact with the sleeper 82. Therefore, by adjusting the penetration length of the other end of the long bolt 32, the installation height of the roof section 14 connected to one end can be adjusted to any height. This makes it possible to adjust the height of the space between the mounting base 64 to which the screw seat 34 is fixed and the roof section 14, making it possible to accommodate ground coil bodies 62 of various sizes and shapes that are installed in that space, thereby improving versatility.
In addition, by applying the heat insulating paint 40 to the cover member 12, the temperature rise of the ground coil main body 62 arranged inside the cover member 12 can be further suppressed.

On the other hand, in the heat shielding structure 2 of the ATS ground coil according to the first embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, the roof portion 14 of the cover member 12 is in the form of a plate folded at a folding line L parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers 82, with the folding line L located at the upper end. In other words, it has a so-called gable roof shape with the extension direction of the sleepers 82 as the gable side. This makes it easier for dirt to flow away with rainwater and the like compared to when the roof portion 14 is flat, and also makes it easier to generate air convection inside the cover member 12, making it possible to suppress both the adhesion of dirt and temperature rise.

On the other hand, in the heat shielding structure 4 of the ATS ground coil according to the second embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 2, the cover member 12 is spherical with the upper end at the approximate center position C in the plan view. That is, the cover member 12 extends diagonally downward or downward while curving from the approximate center position C in the plan view toward the periphery, and can cover not only the upper part of the ground coil body 62 but also the entire circumference of the ground coil body 62 in the plan view, at least a part of the range from the upper part. As a result, the roof part 14 and the front and rear parts 16 are integrally formed, which can more efficiently block direct sunlight and can easily wash away dirt that has adhered thereto by rainwater, etc., thereby suppressing both temperature rise and adhesion of dirt. Moreover, the curved spherical shape of the cover member 12 also makes it possible to improve rigidity.

As shown in Figs. 2 and 4, in the heat shielding structures 4 and 8 of the ATS ground coil according to the second and fourth embodiments of the present invention, the cover member 12 includes a side portion 24 in addition to the roof portion 14 and the front and rear portions 16, and the side portion 24 is formed continuously from the roof portion 14 and covers at least a portion of both sides of the ground coil body 62 in the direction parallel to the extension direction of the sleepers 82. This not only blocks direct sunlight from the extension direction of the sleepers 82, but also makes it easier to generate air convection inside the cover member 12, making it possible to further suppress the temperature rise of the ground coil body 62.

2, 4, 6, 8: Heat-insulating structure of ATS ground coil, 12: Cover member, 14: Roof section, 16: Front and rear sections, 20: Ventilation hole, 24: Side section, 30: Fixing means, 32: Long bolt, 34: Screw seat, 40: Heat-insulating paint, 60: ATS ground coil, 62: Ground coil body, 64: Mounting base, 80: Rail, 82: Sleeper, L: Bending line, C: Center position
