Description

The present invention relates to a disposable diaper.

Disposable diapers generally comprise an absorbent body and a stretchable outer body arranged on the non-skin-facing side of the absorbent body, with both side edges of the outer body in the ventral part and both side edges of the outer body in the dorsal part joined together to form a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an absorbent article in which at least one of the ventral waist elastic member and the dorsal waist elastic member is cut widthwise between a pair of leg elastic members and a pair of leak-preventing wall elastic members, and the cut point contracts to a position outside the leg elastic members and the leak-preventing wall elastic members in the width direction, with the aim of providing a good fit to the wearer.

Patent document 2 also discloses an absorbent article that has an exterior member and end fixing parts that fix a pair of leakage prevention walls at the front and rear parts so that they cannot stand up. The document discloses that this absorbent article has a front joint part that joins the leakage prevention walls and the exterior member at the upper end of the front part, a rear joint part that joins the leakage prevention walls and the exterior member at the upper end of the rear part, and an intermediate joint part that joins the leakage prevention walls and the exterior member between the upper end and the lower end.

However, the absorbent articles described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 may develop wrinkles or kinks in the exterior body or absorbent body due to the contractile force of the elastic member arranged in the crotch area, which impairs the appearance of the diaper. In this respect, the absorbent articles described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 leave room for improvement.

Therefore, the present invention aims to provide a disposable diaper with a good appearance.

The present invention provides a disposable diaper having a longitudinal direction corresponding to the front-to-rear direction of a wearer and a width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the diaper comprising a ventral region and a dorsal region, and a crotch region located between the ventral region and the dorsal region, the diaper having an absorbent main body disposed in a region from the ventral region to the dorsal region along the longitudinal direction, and an outer body disposed on a non-skin-facing side of the absorbent main body,

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS A disposable diaper according to the present invention will now be described based on its preferred embodiments. Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of a pants-type disposable diaper as a preferred embodiment of the absorbent article according to the present invention.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, a pants-type disposable diaper (hereinafter, simply referred to as "diaper") 1 as an absorbent article has a ventral region F arranged on the ventral side of a wearer when the diaper is worn, a dorsal region R arranged on the dorsal side, and a crotch region M located between the ventral region F and the dorsal region R. The diaper 1 has a longitudinal direction X extending from the ventral side of the wearer to the dorsal side via the crotch region corresponding to the front-to-rear direction of the wearer, and a width direction Y perpendicular thereto. The ventral region F, the crotch region M, and the dorsal region R extend continuously along the front-to-rear direction of the wearer. The crotch region M has an excretory part facing portion (not shown) that is arranged facing the excretory part of the wearer when the diaper 1 is worn.

In this specification, the "skin-facing side" refers to the side of the diaper or its constituent members (e.g., absorbent body) that faces the wearer's skin when the diaper is worn, and the "non-skin-facing side" refers to the side that faces away from the wearer's skin when the diaper is worn. In other words, the skin-facing side is the side that is relatively close to the wearer's skin, and the non-skin-facing side is the side that is relatively far from the wearer's skin. "When worn" refers to a state in which the diaper is maintained in the correct wearing position. "Unfolded and fully stretched state" refers to a state in which each elastic member described below is stretched to the design dimensions (dimensions when spread out flat without any influence of the elastic members). In the following description, when we simply say "a plan view of the diaper," it means "a plan view of the diaper in the unfolded and fully stretched state" unless otherwise specified.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the diaper 1 comprises an absorbent body 2 capable of absorbing and retaining bodily waste, and an exterior body 3 arranged on the non-skin-facing side of the absorbent body 2. The exterior body 3 is a member that forms the outer shape of the diaper 1. The periphery of the exterior body 3 forms the contours of the ventral region F and the dorsal region R of the diaper 1, respectively.

The exterior body 3 in this embodiment includes a ventral exterior body 3F extending in the width direction Y and disposed so as to be located in the ventral region F, and a rear exterior body 3R that is separate from the ventral exterior body 3F and extends in the width direction Y and disposed so as to be located in the rear region R. In other words, the diaper 1 in this embodiment is a pants-type disposable diaper known as a split type. Alternatively, the exterior body 3 may be in a form that extends continuously from the ventral region F to the rear region R.
The absorbent main body 2 is disposed so as to bridge both exterior bodies 3F, 3R disposed at a predetermined distance in the longitudinal direction X. The absorbent main body 2 will be described in detail later.
In the following description, for convenience of explanation, an embodiment in which the exterior body 3 has a ventral exterior body 3F and a dorsal exterior body 3R will be described as an example.

The diaper 1 has a pair of side seals S, S formed by joining both sides in the width direction Y of the ventral outer body 3F and both sides in the width direction Y of the rear outer body 3R to each other. This connects the outer bodies 3F, 3R in a ring shape. The diaper 1 also has a waist opening WH through which the wearer's torso passes, and a pair of leg openings LH through which the wearer's lower legs pass. The side seals S are formed by a joining method such as adhesive, heat sealing, or ultrasonic sealing.

As described above, the exterior body 3 has a ventral exterior body 3F and a separate dorsal exterior body 3R. As shown in FIG. 2, the ventral exterior body 3F includes a ventral outer layer sheet 31, a ventral inner layer sheet 32, and an exterior body elastic member 8 arranged between these sheets 31 and 32. Similarly, the dorsal exterior body 3R includes a dorsal outer layer sheet 33, a dorsal inner layer sheet 34, and an exterior body elastic member 8 arranged between these sheets 33 and 34. Each of the exterior bodies 3F and 3R has a plurality of thread-like or band-like exterior body elastic members 8 arranged in a stretched state so as to extend in the width direction Y. As a result, each of the exterior bodies 3F and 3R is configured to be stretchable in the width direction Y. Each exterior body elastic member 8 is arranged on the periphery of the waist opening WH formed by both exterior bodies 3F and 3R, and the exterior body 3 is capable of exhibiting stretchability in the width direction Y.

As shown in FIG. 2, the absorbent body 2 has a rectangular shape extending along the longitudinal direction X when viewed in a plan view. The absorbent body 2 extends in the longitudinal direction X from the ventral region F to the dorsal region R. The absorbent body 2 is joined to the central regions in the width direction Y of the ventral exterior body 3F and the dorsal exterior body 3R by a joining method such as an adhesive.

In addition, it is preferable that the absorbent body 2 has a pair of one or more thread-like or band-like crotch side elastic members 35 arranged in a stretched state so as to extend in the longitudinal direction X on both side regions in the width direction Y. This forms a substantially continuous annular leg gather LG around the entire circumference of each opening edge of the pair of leg openings LH, further improving the fit to the wearer. In this embodiment, multiple crotch side elastic members 35 are provided, and one end of each crotch side elastic member 35 is located in the abdominal region F and the other end is located in the dorsal region R, and each crotch side elastic member 35 is arranged continuously in the abdominal region F, the crotch region M, and the dorsal region R.

The absorbent body 2 typically comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet forming the skin-facing side of the diaper 1, a liquid-impermeable or poorly liquid-permeable leak-proof sheet forming the non-skin-facing side, and a liquid-retentive absorbent body. The absorbent body, like the absorbent body 2, has a shape that is long in the longitudinal direction X of the diaper 1 in a plan view, and is disposed between the top sheet and the leak-proof sheet. The top sheet and the leak-proof sheet cover the entire surface of the absorbent body, and are joined by a known joining method such as adhesive on the outer side of the side edges along the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body.

The top sheet and the leakproof sheet may be joined, for example, in a state in which the top sheet crosses the skin-facing side of the absorbent in the width direction Y, and the extensions from both side edges of the top sheet along the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent 5 are wrapped around the non-skin-facing side of the absorbent, and the extensions are joined to the leakproof sheet. In this case, the top sheet does not cover the central region of the non-skin-facing side of the absorbent in the width direction Y, and this is covered by the leakproof sheet.

The absorbent body typically comprises an absorbent core and a core wrap sheet covering the absorbent core. The absorbent core comprises at least one of the following: a stack of absorbent natural fibers such as pulp fibers, a mixed stack containing absorbent natural fibers and absorbent polymers, and/or an absorbent sheet comprising two identical or different fiber sheets and particles of absorbent polymer disposed between the fiber sheets. When the absorbent core comprises both a stack and an absorbent sheet, the sizes of the stack and absorbent sheet in plan view may be the same or different. The core wrap sheet is made of tissue paper or a water-permeable nonwoven fabric. The core wrap sheet preferably covers the entire skin-facing side and non-skin-facing side of the absorbent core.

A pair of leak-proof cuffs 24, 24 made of a liquid-resistant or water-repellent and breathable sheet is provided on both sides of the skin-facing surface of the absorbent body 2 along the longitudinal direction X. Near the free end of each leak-proof cuff 24, one or more thread-like leak-proof cuff-forming elastic members 25 are arranged in a stretched state along the longitudinal direction X, inside the leak-proof cuff-forming sheet 26. The leak-proof cuffs 24 stand up at least in the crotch region M as the stretched leak-proof cuff-forming elastic members 25 contract when the diaper 1 is worn, thereby preventing urine and other excrement from flowing outward in the width direction Y.

The top sheet and the leakproof sheet can be any sheet that has been conventionally used in disposable diapers, without any particular restrictions. For example, the top sheet can be made of various nonwoven fabrics or perforated films. The leakproof sheet can be made of resin films or laminates of resin films and nonwoven fabrics. The core wrap sheet can be made of the same material as the top sheet. The sheet for forming the leakproof cuffs can be made of the same material as the leakproof sheet.

Returning to the explanation of the exterior body 3, the rear exterior body 3R has a rear extension portion 3E that extends inward in the longitudinal direction X from an imaginary line connecting the inner ends of the side seal portions S in the longitudinal direction X. The rear extension portion 3E is curved so that the length of its periphery in the width direction Y gradually becomes shorter as it moves inward in the longitudinal direction.

The back extension portion 3E has a pair of thread-like or band-like leg elastic members 40 arranged on both sides in the width direction Y. One or more leg elastic members 40 are arranged on each side in the width direction Y. The leg elastic members 40 are arranged in a stretched state, curved along the outer periphery of the back extension portion 3E in a plan view, so as to fit around the legs of the wearer when the diaper is worn. This positions at least a portion of the back extension portion 3E so as to fit around the legs of the wearer, improving the fit to the wearer.

The leg elastic member 40 has one end region (outer end region) including the outer end 40a in the width direction Y, which is one end of the leg elastic member 40, located at or near the formation position of the side seal portion S and fixed thereto. On the other hand, the other end region (inner end region) including the inner end 40b in the width direction Y, which is the other end of the leg elastic member 40, is arranged and fixed inward in the width direction Y from both side edges in the width direction Y of the absorbent main body 2. The other end region including the inner end 40b of each leg elastic member 40 is arranged so that a part or the whole area overlaps with the absorbent main body 2 in a plan view. In this embodiment, the inner ends 40b of each leg elastic member 40 do not reach the center region in the width direction of the absorbent main body 2 in a plan view, but are located in both side regions in the width direction Y, and are arranged so as to overlap with the absorbent main body 2 in a plan view.

The length of the other end region (inner end region) including the inner end 40b of the leg elastic member 40 overlapping with the absorbent body 2 is preferably 20 mm or more, more preferably 25 mm or more, even more preferably 30 mm or more, and is preferably 60 mm or less, more preferably 55 mm or less, even more preferably 50 mm or less.

In this embodiment, the crotch side elastic members 35 and the leg elastic members 40 are arranged so that at least one of the crotch side elastic members 35 and at least one of the leg elastic members 40 cross each other in a plan view of the diaper 1, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2. This configuration allows the diaper to conform to the entire circumference of the wearer's legs when worn, further improving the fit to the wearer. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the multiple crotch side elastic members 35 and the multiple leg elastic members 40 are all arranged so as to cross each other.

Regarding the bonding form of the absorbent body 2 and the exterior body 3, it is preferable that the diaper 1 has an adhesive region A where the absorbent body 2 and the exterior body 3 are bonded as shown in FIG. 2. In detail, it is preferable that the adhesive region A includes both a ventral adhesive region Af where one end region in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body 2 is bonded to the ventral exterior body 3F, and a rear adhesive region Ar where the other end region in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body 2 is bonded to the rear exterior body 3R. In other words, the adhesive region A in this embodiment is formed in each of both end regions in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body 2, and is not formed in the central region in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body 2.

Regarding the adhesive region A, when the adhesive region A is viewed in a plan view along the longitudinal direction X of the diaper 1, a first imaginary line segment is considered to connect both outer widthwise ends of the adhesive region A at a position closest to one end of the adhesive region A in the longitudinal direction X and to have a maximum length along the width direction Y. Similarly, a second imaginary line segment is considered to connect both outer widthwise ends of the adhesive region A at a position closest to the other end of the adhesive region A in the longitudinal direction X and to have a maximum length along the width direction Y. In this case, it is preferable to have an intermediate adhesive region A1 between the first and second imaginary line segments, in which the length of the adhesive region A in the width direction Y is shorter than the length of the first imaginary line segment and the length of the second imaginary line segment when viewed along the longitudinal direction X.

More specifically, as shown in Fig. 2, when the adhesive area A is viewed in the longitudinal direction X of the diaper 1 in a plan view of the diaper, it is preferable to have an intermediate adhesive area A1 between a longitudinal inner end Am, which is one end of the adhesive area A in the longitudinal direction X, and a longitudinal outer end An, which is the other end of the adhesive area A in the longitudinal direction X. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the side along the width direction of the longitudinal inner end Am corresponds to the first imaginary line segment, and the side along the width direction of the longitudinal outer end An corresponds to the second imaginary line segment.
In the embodiment shown in the same figure, the adhesive region A is formed continuously with a symmetrical planar shape, but if, for example, the adhesive region A is formed discontinuously or with an asymmetrical planar shape, the first virtual line segment and the second virtual line segment are considered based on the position of the outermost end in the width direction at which the adhesive region A is formed.

The intermediate adhesive region A1 is an area whose length in the width direction Y is shorter than the length in the width direction Y of the adhesive region A at the longitudinal inner end Am and the length in the width direction Y of the adhesive region A at the longitudinal outer end An. The intermediate adhesive region A1 is preferably formed in at least one of the ventral adhesive region Af and the dorsal adhesive region Ar, and more preferably formed only in the dorsal adhesive region Ar as shown in FIG. 2. By forming the intermediate adhesive region A1, it is possible to form a portion where the absorbent body 2 and the exterior body 3 are not joined while sufficiently maintaining the joining state between the absorbent body 2 and the exterior body 3, so that it is possible to reduce the stress generated by the contraction of the elastic member from being excessively applied to the exterior body 3 and the absorbent body 2 attached to the exterior body. As a result, it is possible to reduce the occurrence of unintended wrinkles and twists in the exterior body 3, the absorbent body 2, and the absorbent core, and to further improve the appearance of the diaper.

In particular, as shown in FIG. 2, the ventral adhesive area Af does not have an intermediate adhesive area A1, and the dorsal adhesive area Ar has an intermediate adhesive area A1. This is advantageous in that the adhesive area is increased on the ventral side, which is relatively more affected by the wearer's movements, thereby allowing the diaper to exhibit sufficient moldability and strength, while maintaining a better appearance on the dorsal side, which is relatively less affected by the wearer's movements.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, in a plan view of the diaper, the intermediate adhesive region A1 is formed in the back adhesive region Ar. The back adhesive region Ar in this embodiment has an inner adhesive region A2, which is an adhesive region including the inner longitudinal end Am and located on the inner longitudinal end side of the intermediate adhesive region A1, an outer adhesive region A3, which is an adhesive region including the outer longitudinal end An and located on the outer longitudinal end side of the intermediate adhesive region A1, and an intermediate adhesive region A1 arranged between the inner adhesive region A2 and the outer adhesive region A3. In this embodiment, the intermediate adhesive region A1, the inner adhesive region A2, and the outer adhesive region A3 are formed one by one, and each region is arranged in a connected manner.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, in a plan view of the diaper, both the inner adhesive region A2 and the outer adhesive region A3 have a rectangular shape with the direction in which their long sides extend generally coinciding with the width direction Y of the diaper. The lengths in the width direction Y of both the inner adhesive region A2 and the outer adhesive region A3 generally coincide with the length in the width direction Y of the absorbent body 2. The intermediate adhesive region A1 has a rectangular shape with a length in the width direction Y that is shorter than the inner adhesive region A2 and the outer adhesive region A3. As a result, non-adhesive regions A5, where the absorbent body 2 and the outer body 3 are not adhered to each other, are formed on both sides of the intermediate adhesive region A1 in the width direction Y.

For convenience of explanation, as shown in Fig. 2, the embodiment has been described in which the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal inner end Am of the adhesive region A and the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal outer end An of the adhesive region A are the same, but the embodiment is not limited to this, and for example, the lengths in the width direction Y of each end may be different from each other. Furthermore, the adhesive region A may be formed in a geometric shape other than a rectangle in a plan view, such as an ellipse or a rectangle with chamfered corners.
When each end is formed so that its length in the width direction Y is different, the intermediate adhesive region A1 is defined as all areas whose length in the width direction Y is shorter than the length in the width direction Y of the end, out of the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal inner end Am of the adhesive region A and the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal outer end An of the adhesive region A, based on the end with the shorter length in the width direction Y.

In addition, as shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable that the intermediate adhesive region A1 and the crotch side elastic members 35 are arranged such that, in a plan view of the diaper, an end of at least one crotch side elastic member 35 is located in the non-adhesive region A5 or in a region closer to the longitudinal inner end of the outer body 3 than the non-adhesive region A5. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, one end of each of the crotch side elastic members 35 is located in the non-adhesive region A5. This configuration reduces unintended wrinkles that occur in the outer body 3 due to the contraction stress of the elastic members, further improving the appearance of the diaper.

From the viewpoint of suppressing wrinkle formation and improving fit, the length of overlap of the crotch-side elastic member 35 with the non-adhesive region A5 is preferably 150 mm or less, more preferably 130 mm or less, even more preferably 100 mm or less, even more preferably 50 mm or less, even more preferably 30 mm or less, and preferably 0 mm or more. When multiple intermediate adhesive regions A1 are formed at one end of the absorbent body 2 and there are multiple non-adhesive regions A5, it is preferable that the total overlap length of these regions is within the above range.

The adhesive region A including the intermediate adhesive region A1 shown in FIG. 2 has been described as being I-shaped in plan view, but instead, the adhesive region A including the intermediate adhesive region A1 may be formed to have, for example, a planar shape as shown in FIGS. 3(a) to (c).

When considering the longitudinal center of the adhesive region A shown in FIG. 3(a), which is a position that divides the longitudinal inner end Am and the longitudinal outer end An in half, the adhesive region A is formed so that the length in the width direction Y gradually decreases from the longitudinal inner end Am to the longitudinal center of the adhesive region A, and the length in the width direction Y gradually increases from the longitudinal center to the longitudinal outer end An, so that the widthwise edge of the longitudinal center of the adhesive region A has a shape that is constricted inward. The adhesive region A shown in the same figure has one intermediate adhesive region A1 formed. The adhesive region A shown in the same figure is formed so that the width direction Y length of the longitudinal inner end Am of the adhesive region A and the width direction Y length of the longitudinal outer end An of the adhesive region A are mutually the same, but as described above, the width direction lengths of each end may be formed to be different.

The adhesive region A shown in FIG. 3(b) is formed so that the length in the width direction Y gradually decreases from the longitudinal inner end Am to the longitudinal outer end An, then the length in the width direction Y becomes the same, and then the length in the width direction Y gradually increases, so that the central region in the longitudinal direction X of the adhesive region A has a shape that is constricted inward in the width direction Y. The adhesive region A shown in the same figure has one intermediate adhesive region A1 formed. The adhesive region A shown in the same figure is formed so that the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal inner end Am of the adhesive region A and the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal outer end An of the adhesive region A are mutually the same, but as described above, the width direction lengths of each end may be formed to be different.

In the adhesive region A shown in FIG. 3(c), the widthwise edge of the adhesive region A is formed in a zigzag pattern by alternating between a portion whose length in the width direction Y is shorter than the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal inner end Am and the longitudinal outer end An, and a portion whose length in the width direction Y is the same as the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal inner end Am and the longitudinal outer end An along the longitudinal direction X. The adhesive region A shown in the figure has a plurality of intermediate adhesive regions A1 formed. The adhesive region A shown in the figure is formed so that the widthwise Y length of the longitudinal inner end Am of the adhesive region A and the widthwise Y length of the longitudinal outer end An of the adhesive region A are the same, but as described above, the widthwise lengths of the ends may be different.

In terms of the relationship between the lengths in the longitudinal direction X of the intermediate adhesive region A1, the inner adhesive region A2, and the outer adhesive region A3, as shown in Fig. 2, when considering the longitudinal length T1 of the intermediate adhesive region A1, the longitudinal length T2 of the inner adhesive region A2, and the longitudinal length T3 of the outer adhesive region A3, it is preferable that the adhesive regions A are formed so that the order of length T2 < length T3 < length T1 is satisfied. In other words, it is preferable that length T2 is the shortest, length T1 is the longest, and length T3 is an intermediate length between length T1 and length T2.
This configuration effectively prevents unintended wrinkles from forming on the absorbent body 2 and the exterior body 3, further improving the appearance of the diaper. In particular, by forming the adhesive region A so that length T2 < length T3 < length T1, unintended wrinkles from forming on the exterior body 3 can be effectively prevented, which is advantageous in that it allows the liquid absorbency of the absorbent body 2 to be fully exhibited, while still achieving a further improvement in the appearance of the diaper due to the improved appearance of the exterior body 3.

Instead of the above-mentioned configuration, it is also preferable that the adhesive region A is formed so that the lengths are longer in the order of length T3 < length T2 < length T1. Even with such a configuration, it is possible to effectively prevent the formation of unintended wrinkles in the absorbent body 2 and the outer body 3, and the appearance of the diaper is further improved. In particular, by forming the adhesive region A so that length T3 < length T2 < length T1, it is possible to effectively prevent the formation of unintended wrinkles in the absorbent body 2 and the associated occurrence of unintended wrinkles in the outer body 3, which is advantageous in that it is possible to improve the fit around the wearer's abdomen while further improving the appearance of the diaper.

The length T1 is preferably 100 mm or more, more preferably 110 mm or more, and is preferably 150 mm or less, more preferably 130 mm or less.
The length T2 is preferably 10 mm or more, more preferably 20 mm or more, and is preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 30 mm or less.
The length T3 is preferably 10 mm or more, more preferably 20 mm or more, and is preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 40 mm or less.

Regarding the relationship between the widthwise lengths of the intermediate adhesive region A1, the inner adhesive region A2 and the outer adhesive region A3, when considering the widthwise length W1 of the intermediate adhesive region A1, the widthwise length W2 of the inner adhesive region A2 and the widthwise length W3 of the outer adhesive region A3, it is preferable that the adhesive region A is formed so that the lengths increase in the order of length W1 < length W2 = length W3, or so that the lengths increase in the order of length W1 < length W2 < length W3 or length W1 < length W3 < length W2.
That is, it is preferable that the length W1 is the shortest, and the length W2 and the length W3 are the same. Alternatively, it is preferable that the length W1 is the shortest, the length W3 is the longest, and the length W2 is an intermediate length between the lengths W1 and W3. Also, it is preferable that the length W1 is the shortest, the length W2 is the longest, and the length W3 is an intermediate length between the lengths W1 and W2.
In particular, from the viewpoint of improving production efficiency, it is more preferable to make the widthwise lengths of the inner adhesive region A2 and the outer adhesive region A3 the same and to make the widthwise length of the intermediate adhesive region A1 shorter than the widthwise lengths of the inner adhesive region A2 and the outer adhesive region A3, that is, to have the relationship length W1 < length W2 = length W3.

The length W1 is preferably 100 mm or more, more preferably 130 mm or more, and is preferably 150 mm or less, more preferably 140 mm or less.
The length W2 is preferably 151 mm or more, more preferably 160 mm or more, and is preferably 180 mm or less, more preferably 170 mm or less.
The length W3 is preferably 151 mm or more, more preferably 160 mm or more, and is preferably 180 mm or less, more preferably 170 mm or less.

Regarding the relationship between the exterior body elastic member 8 and the adhesive region A, as shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable that the exterior body elastic member 8 is positioned so that it at least partially overlaps with the intermediate adhesive region A1 in a plan view of the diaper. This configuration prevents unintended twisting of the absorbent body when the diaper is worn, and allows the absorbent body to expand and fully cover the excretory area including the buttocks and the vicinity thereof, thereby fully demonstrating the liquid absorbency of the absorbent body 2 and further improving the appearance of the diaper.

Regarding the relationship between the leg elastic members 40 and the adhesive region A, as shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable that the inner end 40b of the leg elastic members 40 is arranged so as to at least partially overlap the inner adhesive region A2 in a plan view of the diaper. This configuration prevents unintended twisting of the absorbent body when the diaper is worn, and allows the absorbent body to expand and fully cover the excretory area including the buttocks and the vicinity thereof, thereby fully demonstrating the liquid absorbency of the absorbent body 2 and further improving the appearance of the diaper.

The length of overlap of the other end region (inner end region) including the inner end 40b of the leg elastic member 40 with the inner adhesive region A2 is preferably 20 mm or more, more preferably 25 mm or more, even more preferably 30 mm or more, and is preferably 60 mm or less, more preferably 55 mm or less, even more preferably 50 mm or less.

The absorbent body 2 will be described in detail with reference to Figs. 2, 4 and 5. As shown in Figs. 2 and 4, the absorbent body 2 preferably includes an absorbent sheet 2A. In this embodiment, the absorbent sheet 2A is rectangular extending along the longitudinal direction X in a plan view of the diaper, and both ends in the longitudinal direction X extend to the exterior body 3. In addition, both ends in the width direction Y of the absorbent sheet 2A are located widthwise inward of the positions of the crotch-side elastic members 35.

As shown in Fig. 5, the absorbent sheet 2A includes a first fiber sheet 2a, a second fiber sheet 2b, and particles of a water-absorbing polymer 2c arranged between the two fiber sheets 2a and 2b. The two fiber sheets 2a and 2b may be the same or different. A plurality of particles of the water-absorbing polymer 2c shown in the figure are arranged in the sheet surface direction. No other members are present on the outer surfaces of the first fiber sheet 2a and the second fiber sheet 2b shown in the figure, but as described later, other members such as auxiliary layers may be arranged on the outer surfaces of the fiber sheets 2a and 2b. In addition, when the absorbent sheet 2A is incorporated into an absorbent article such as a diaper, the first fiber sheet 2a may be arranged on the skin-facing side and the second fiber sheet 2b may be arranged on the non-skin-facing side, or the second fiber sheet 2b may be arranged on the skin-facing side and the first fiber sheet 2a may be arranged on the non-skin-facing side.
The two fibrous sheets 2a, 2b are bonded together by a bonding method commonly used in this technical field, such as adhesive or embossing (not shown), thereby holding the particles of the water-absorbing polymer 2c between the two fibrous sheets 2a, 2b.

Regarding the positioning of the leg elastic members 40 and the absorbent sheet 2A in a plan view, it is preferable that the leg elastic members 40 intersect with both sides of the absorbent sheet 2A in the width direction Y in a plan view of the diaper. In this embodiment, at least one of the leg elastic members 40 located on one side in the width direction Y intersects with one side of the absorbent sheet 2A in the width direction Y, and at least one of the leg elastic members 40 located on the other side in the width direction Y intersects with the other side of the absorbent sheet 2A in the width direction Y.

When the absorbent body 2 includes an absorbent sheet 2A, it is preferable that the absorbent body 2 further includes an auxiliary layer 2B, as shown in Figs. 2 and 4. The absorbent sheet 2A and the auxiliary layer 2B each constitute a part of the absorbent body in the absorbent body 2. It is also preferable that the auxiliary layer 2B is disposed adjacent to the skin-facing surface of the absorbent sheet 2A. It is also preferable that the auxiliary layer 2B is a mixed stack containing at least absorbent natural fibers and particles of absorbent polymer. In this embodiment, the auxiliary layer 2B has a shape smaller than the area of the absorbent sheet 2A in a plan view of the diaper.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, the absorbent sheet 2A and the auxiliary layer 2B are laminated and covered with the top sheet 21 and the leakproof sheet 22. From the viewpoint of making it easier to stand the absorbent body towards the wearer and reducing leakage of body waste, it is preferable that a pair of side elastic members 29 are arranged on both side edges along the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body. Each side elastic member 29 is arranged in a stretched state between the top sheet 21 and the absorbent sheet 2A. One or more side elastic members 29 are arranged at least in the crotch region M.
As shown in the figure, the crotch side elastic members 35 are contained in a stretched state in the non-skin side sheet 36. The non-skin side sheet 36 is joined to the absorbent main body 2 and/or the exterior body 3 by an adhesive or the like.

It is preferable that the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal end region of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the ventral exterior body 3F is longer than the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal end region of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the dorsal exterior body 3R. As shown in FIG. 2, the longitudinal end region of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the ventral exterior body 3F is a region in which the length in the width direction Y increases continuously or stepwise from the dorsal exterior body 3R toward the ventral exterior body 3F. This configuration increases the absorption area for urine and other excreted liquids, while allowing the auxiliary layer to easily deform around the wearer's legs when the diaper is worn. As a result, the diaper fits better when worn and allows the wearer to move their legs more easily.

As shown in Fig. 2, in a plan view of the diaper, the end in the longitudinal direction X of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the ventral region F side is preferably arranged so as to be positioned outward in the longitudinal direction X from the inner end in the longitudinal direction of the ventral exterior body 3F. Similarly, the end in the longitudinal direction X of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the dorsal region R side is also preferably arranged so as to be positioned outward in the longitudinal direction X from the inner end in the longitudinal direction of the dorsal extension portion 3E. This configuration can improve the ability to follow the movement of the wearer and can reduce the occurrence of unintended wrinkles and twists in the absorbent main body 2 and the exterior body 3.
In particular, the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal end region of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the ventral exterior body 3F is longer than the length in the width direction Y of the longitudinal end region of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the dorsal exterior body 3R, and in addition, the longitudinal end X of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the ventral region F is arranged to be positioned outward in the longitudinal direction X than the longitudinal inner end of the ventral exterior body 3F, so that the rigidity of the auxiliary layer can reduce the occurrence of unintended wrinkles and kinks in the absorbent main body 2 and the exterior body 3 in the abdominal area where the wearer moves relatively greatly. As a result, the diaper has a good appearance and the liquid absorbency of the absorbent main body 2 can be fully exhibited.

In terms of the positional relationship between the adhesive region A and the auxiliary layer 2B, it is preferable that, in a plan view of the diaper 1, the longitudinal X end region of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the back region R side at least partially overlaps with the inner adhesive region A2 in at least one of the ventral adhesive region Af and the back adhesive region Ar. More specifically, it is more preferable that the longitudinal X end region of the auxiliary layer 2B located on the back region R side of the diaper is arranged to be located longitudinally outward of the longitudinal inner end region Am of the adhesive region A. This configuration makes it possible to impart rigidity to the absorbent body 2, and as a result, even when a contraction stress of the elastic member is applied, the occurrence of unintended wrinkles and twisting can be effectively reduced.

In relation to the position of the auxiliary layer 2B and the position of the crotch-side elastic member 35, it is preferable that, in a plan view of the diaper 1, in at least one of the abdominal region F and the back region R, the longitudinal X end of the auxiliary layer 2B is located outward in the longitudinal direction beyond the end of the crotch-side elastic member 35. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, in the abdominal region F, the longitudinal X end of the auxiliary layer 2B is located outward in the longitudinal direction X from one end of each crotch-side elastic member 35 located on the abdominal region F side. With this configuration, the rigid absorbent body 2 can prevent the outer body from twisting due to the contraction of the crotch-side elastic member 35. This is advantageous in that it can effectively reduce the occurrence of unintended wrinkles and twists in the absorbent body 2 and the outer body 3 in the abdominal region where the wearer's movements are relatively large.

The sheet materials constituting the ventral outer layer sheet 31, the ventral inner layer sheet 32, the dorsal outer layer sheet 33, and the dorsal inner layer sheet 34 can each independently be non-elastic fiber sheets such as non-woven fabrics. The non-woven fabrics used for the ventral outer layer sheet 31, the ventral inner layer sheet 32, the dorsal outer layer sheet 33, and the dorsal inner layer sheet 34 can each independently be non-woven fabrics used in this technical field, such as spunbond non-woven fabrics, thermal bond non-woven fabrics, spunlace non-woven fabrics, meltblown non-woven fabrics, and air-through non-woven fabrics.

The constituent resins of each of the elastic members 8, 25, 29, 35, and 40 may each independently be, for example, natural rubber, EVA rubber, synthetic rubber such as styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, and neoprene rubber, polyurethane, and other elastic resins such as thermoplastic elastomers. Examples of thermoplastic elastomers include styrene-based elastomers such as SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene), SIS (styrene-isoprene-styrene), SEBS (styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene), and SEPS (styrene-ethylene-propylene-styrene), ethylene-based elastomers, propylene-based elastomers, olefin-based elastomers such as α-olefin elastomers and copolymers of ethylene, butene, and octene, polyester-based elastomers, and polyurethane-based elastomers. These constituent resins may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

In a disposable diaper having the above configuration, preferably a pants-type disposable diaper, one end of the crotch-side elastic member 35 is located in the non-adhesive region A5 located on both widthwise sides of the intermediate adhesive region A1 formed in the adhesive region A, or inward in the longitudinal direction from the non-adhesive region A5. This makes it difficult for stress caused by contraction of the crotch-side elastic member 35 to be applied to the absorbent body 2 and the exterior body 3 located at the end of the crotch-side elastic member 35, thereby preventing unintended wrinkles and kinks from forming in the absorbent body 2 and the exterior body 3 when the diaper is worn. As a result, the appearance of the diaper when worn is improved, and the usability is improved, while still maintaining sufficient adhesion to the wearer due to the contraction of the elastic member.

The present invention has been described above based on its preferred embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments.

The absorbent body has one or more thread-like or band-like crotch side elastic members arranged in both side regions in the width direction so as to extend in the longitudinal direction,
The diaper has an adhesive region in which the absorbent body and the exterior body are adhered to each other in at least one of the abdominal region and the back region,
