Utility Model Registration No. 3226820

It has been pointed out that the configuration of Patent Document 1 has the problem that the clip may fall off, making it difficult to assemble the cover body.

The present invention has been proposed in consideration of the above problems associated with the conventional technology, and aims to provide a soundproof cover that is easy to assemble to the outer shell.

In order to overcome the above problems and achieve the intended object, the soundproof cover according to the present invention comprises:
An engagement portion extending from the openable and closable outer shell and having an engagement hole;
an engagement receiving portion provided at a position corresponding to the engagement portion in the closed outer shell body, the engagement portion being detachable by being inserted into and removed from the engagement hole;

Next, the soundproof cover of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings, showing a preferred embodiment. The soundproof cover of the present invention can be attached to, for example, a compressor, a motor, or other sound generating source (attachment target), and more specifically, can be used for on-board equipment installed in a vehicle.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the soundproof cover 10 of the embodiment includes an outer shell 12 that can be opened and closed with a hinge 14, and a sound absorbing body 16 arranged inside the outer shell 12. The soundproof cover 10 is attached to and detached from the object to be attached by opening the outer shell 12 (see Figure 2), and is attached to surround the object to be attached by closing the outer shell 12 (see Figure 1).

As shown in Figures 1 and 3, the outer shell 12 constitutes the outer shell of the soundproof cover 10 and also functions as a sound insulator that blocks the transmission of sound. The outer shell 12 is configured to be able to be opened by separating into two wall portions 20, 20 with the hinge 14 as a fulcrum. In addition, the outer shell 12 becomes box-shaped and can surround an object to be attached by butting the open ends of the two wall portions 20, 20 together and closing them. The hinge 14 in the embodiment is an integral hinge formed integrally with the semi-cylindrical wall portion 20.

As shown in FIG. 6, the shell 12 of the embodiment is a molded product of a polymer compound in which the wall portion 20, the hinge 14, the holding portion 18 described below, the engagement portion 22, and the engagement receiving portion 24 are integrally molded. As the polymer compound constituting the shell 12, an elastomer containing a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) such as an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer (TPO), or a synthetic resin such as polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) can be used. From the viewpoint of protecting surrounding members that may interfere with the soundproof cover 10, an elastomer such as an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer (TPO) is preferable as the shell 12 because of its flexibility. The shell 12 can be held in a closed state by engaging the engagement portion 22 provided on one wall portion 20 with the engagement receiving portion 24 provided on the other wall portion 20 (see FIG. 1, FIG. 4, and FIG. 6).

The sound absorbing body 16 is a molded product of foam such as polyurethane foam or olefin-based foam. The sound absorbing body 16 is arranged corresponding to each of the wall portions 20. When the outer shell body 12 is closed, the two sound absorbing bodies 16, 16 surround the object to which it is to be attached. The sound absorbing body 16 is separate from the outer shell body 12 and can be attached and detached from the outer shell body 12. The edge of the sound absorbing body 16 in the embodiment is held by a hook-shaped holding portion 18 provided on the outer shell body 12 (see FIG. 5).

2, the engaging portion 22 is provided on an edge of the wall portion 20 different from the edge where the hinge 14 is provided. The engaging portion 22 is in the shape of a tongue formed to extend from the edge of the wall portion 20. The engaging portion 22 has a base end (sometimes called the shell body 12 side or root) connected to the outer surface of the wall portion 20, and a tip end extending from the end of the wall portion 20. When the shell body 12 is closed, the tip end of the engaging portion 22 overlaps with the outer surface of the wall portion 20 where the engagement receiving portion 24 is provided. Note that the engaging portion 22 of the embodiment has flexibility that allows bending deformation in its thickness direction. The engaging portion 22 has an engaging hole 22a formed to penetrate in its thickness direction. The engaging hole 22a of the embodiment is formed to be cut from the base end of the engaging portion 22 toward the tip end.

1 to 4, the engagement receiving portion 24 is provided at a position corresponding to the engagement portion 22 when the outer shell 12 is closed. The engagement receiving portion 24 is provided at an edge portion of the wall portion 20 different from the edge portion where the hinge 14 is provided. The engagement receiving portion 24 can be attached to and detached from the engagement portion 22 by inserting and detaching the engagement portion 22 into and from the engagement hole 22a of the engagement portion 22. As shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the engagement receiving portion 24 is formed in a hook shape that can be passed through the engagement hole 22a and hooked onto the opening edge of the engagement hole 22a. More specifically, the engagement receiving portion 24 includes a hook portion 26 that protrudes outward from the outer surface of the wall portion 20 and a retaining portion 28 that retains the engagement portion 22 engaged with the engagement receiving portion 24. The hook portion 26 is a portion that is disposed in the engagement hole 22a when the engagement portion 22 is attached to the engagement receiving portion 24, and is formed with a width that matches the width of the engagement hole 22a. The retaining portion 28 is a portion that is disposed outside the engaging portion 22 when the engaging portion 22 is attached to the engaging receiving portion 24. The retaining portion 28 extends further from the hook portion 26 toward the side opposite the opening edge of the wall portion 20 on which the engaging receiving portion 24 is provided. In other words, the retaining portion 28 extends further from the hook portion 26 toward the side opposite the base end of the engaging portion 22. The retaining portion 28 protrudes obliquely toward the wall portion 20 on which the engaging receiving portion 24 is provided. When the engaging portion 22 is attached to the engaging receiving portion 24, the retaining portion 28 protrudes further toward the tip side of the engaging portion 22 than the opening edge on the tip side of the engaging portion 22 in the engagement hole 22a, and is disposed so as to overlap the engaging portion 22.

As shown in Figs. 4 and 6, the retaining portion 28 is connected to the support portion 30 formed at a distance from the hook portion 26 provided on the base side of the engagement receiving portion 24. The support portion 30 in the embodiment has a bent shape that protrudes outward from the hook portion 26, then bends to the opposite side to the base end of the engagement portion 22 (the opening edge of the wall portion 20 where the engagement receiving portion 24 is provided), and extends parallel to the wall portion 20. At the base of the retaining portion 28 in the engagement receiving portion 24, the support portion 30 forms a recess 24a that opens to the opposite side to the base end of the engagement portion 22 (the opening edge of the wall portion 20 where the engagement receiving portion 24 is provided).

As shown in FIG. 7, the retaining portion 28 is displaced and/or deformed when it is passed through the engagement hole 22a of the engagement portion 22. The displacement and/or deformation of the retaining portion 28 is restricted by the hook portion 26 provided on the base side of the engagement receiving portion 24. The tip of the displaced (deformed) retaining portion 28 is configured to be spaced from the wall portion 20 of the outer shell body 12. In this way, the retaining portion 28 is configured not to contact the wall portion 20 even if it is displaced (deformed) toward the wall portion 20. In contrast, the retaining portion 28 is configured to hit the hook portion 26 when it is displaced (deformed) toward the wall portion 20. The retaining portion 28 may be configured so that when it hits the hook portion 26, its tip (the protruding end of the retaining portion 28) is spaced from the wall portion 20 by a distance equal to or greater than the plate thickness of the engagement portion 22.

As shown in FIG. 2, a holding portion 18 for holding the sound absorbing body 16 arranged on the inside of the wall portion 20 may be provided on the inside of the engagement receiving portion 24 of the wall portion 20.

Since the engaging portion 22 of the soundproof cover 10 is provided on the outer shell 12, there is no risk of it being dropped during assembly as with clips, and the engaging portion 22 can be properly attached to the engaging receiving portion 24, allowing the outer shell 12 to be easily assembled in a closed state. Furthermore, the soundproof cover 10 can be easily attached even to an existing mounting object such as a compressor mounted on a vehicle. In addition, since the engaging portion 22 is hooked onto the engaging receiving portion 24 through the engaging hole 22a formed in the engaging portion 22, it is easy to tell whether the engaging portion 22 has been hooked onto the engaging receiving portion 24, and poor installation of the engaging portion 22 can be avoided.

Since the retaining portion 28 of the engagement receiving portion 24 protrudes obliquely toward the wall portion 20 of the outer shell 12, the protruding end of the engagement receiving portion 24 has a tapered shape (see FIG. 6), making it easier to pass the engagement hole 22a of the engagement portion 22 from the outside of the engagement receiving portion 24. In addition, when the engagement receiving portion 24 is passed through the engagement hole 22a of the engagement portion 22, the inclined shape of the retaining portion 28 makes it easier to displace (deform) the retaining portion 28 toward the wall portion 20, and the displacement (deformation) of the retaining portion 28 from the outside to the inside also makes it easier to attach the engagement portion 22 to the engagement receiving portion 24. On the other hand, when the engagement portion 22 is attached to the engagement receiving portion 24, the retaining portion 28 can prevent the engagement portion 22 from displacing outward, and can prevent the engagement portion 22 from unintentionally coming off the engagement receiving portion 24 due to vibrations during vehicle travel, etc. In addition, the inclined shape of the retaining portion 28 makes it difficult for the retaining portion 28 to displace (deform) from the inside to the outside, making it difficult for the engaging portion 22 to come off the engaging receiving portion 24.

The soundproof cover 10 allows the engagement portion 22 to be attached to the engagement receiving portion 24 without using any jigs or tools, and since the engagement portion 22 is easy to attach to the engagement receiving portion 24, the installation work can be done even with one hand. This improves the ease of attaching the soundproof cover 10 to the object to be soundproofed. Furthermore, the soundproof cover 10 can be easily attached even in a limited space inside a vehicle, for example, improving maintainability.

When the engaging portion 22 is attached to the engaging receiving portion 24, the retaining portion 28, which has been displaced (deformed) to a certain extent, is restricted by the hook portion 26 provided on the base side of the engaging receiving portion 24, which helps the retaining portion 28 to overcome the interference with the opening edge of the engaging hole 22a. This makes it easier for the retaining portion 28 to pass through the engaging hole 22a.

By providing the retaining portion 28 in connection with the support portion 30 formed at a distance from the hook portion 26 provided on the base side of the engagement receiving portion 24, the retaining portion 28 can be displaced (deformed) to a greater extent with less force by the support portion 30 which deforms by utilizing the recess 24a between the hook portion 26. Furthermore, even if the engaging portion 22 comes off the hook portion 26 after being attached to the engagement receiving portion 24, the engaging portion 22 fits into the recess 24a, making it very difficult for the engaging portion 22 to come off the engagement receiving portion 24.

Even if the retaining portion 28 is displaced (deformed) when the engaging portion 22 is attached to the engaging receiving portion 24, the tip of the retaining portion 28 (the protruding end of the retaining portion 28) is separated from the wall portion 20 of the outer shell body 12, so that the engaging portion 22 can be easily positioned between the retaining portion 28 and the wall portion 20 by overriding the retaining portion 28.

While pulling the engaging portion 22, the engaging receiving portion 24 is passed through the engaging hole 22a and hooked onto the engaging receiving portion 24. At this time, the engaging receiving portion 24 may be held down by a portion other than the engaging portion 22 (engagement hole 22a). In particular, if the outer shell 12 is an elastomer molded body, the periphery of the engaging receiving portion 24 on the outer shell 12 is prone to bending, making it difficult to hook the engaging portion 22 onto the engaging receiving portion 24. Here, if the holding portion 18 is positioned inside the engaging receiving portion 24, the periphery of the engaging receiving portion 24 on the outer shell 12 is less likely to bend, making it easier to hook the engaging portion 22 onto the engaging receiving portion 24. This makes it easier to attach the soundproof cover 10 to the object to which it is to be attached.
