Claims (2)
- シリンダ内に形成される燃焼室と、
前記シリンダを形成するシリンダブロック上に前記シリンダを塞ぐように配置されるシリンダヘッドの内部に、前記シリンダの中心軸を軸として円環状に設けられた通路であるエアチャンバーと、
内径が前記シリンダの径よりも大きいガスケットが前記シリンダブロックと前記シリンダヘッドとにより挟持されることで、前記シリンダブロックと前記シリンダヘッドとの間に円環板状に形成され、前記燃焼室に連通する隙間部と、
前記エアチャンバーと前記隙間部とを連通する連通孔であって前記エアチャンバーの円周方向に沿って分散して配置される複数の連通孔と、
空気を圧縮して第1圧力の高圧空気を生成し、前記高圧空気を、前記エアチャンバー、前記連通孔および前記隙間部を介して、前記燃焼室に供給する空気加圧ポンプと、
吸気バルブを動作させるカムシャフトに連結され、前記カムシャフトに連動して回転する空気カムと、
前記空気加圧ポンプから前記エアチャンバーへ繋がる前記高圧空気の配管に設けられ、前記空気カムの回転に連動して前記配管を開閉する空気バルブと、
を備え、
前記空気加圧ポンプは、点火前に前記燃焼室のうち前記シリンダの内周面の周辺の周辺エリアに前記高圧空気を供給することにより、前記燃焼室内に存在するリッチな混合気を前記燃焼室のうち中央エリアに集合させ、前記中央エリアの混合気層と前記周辺エリアの空気層とからなる成層構造を形成させ、
前記第1圧力は、前記燃焼室内の第2圧力より高い圧力であり、かつ、前記第1圧力と前記第2圧力との圧力差が所定範囲内となる圧力であり、
前記所定範囲は、前記第1圧力の前記高圧空気が前記燃焼室に供給されても前記燃焼室内の混合気に乱流が発生しないとみなせる範囲に設定される、
エンジンシステム。 - 前記高圧空気は、前記燃焼室への燃料の噴射が終了した後であり、圧縮行程中であり、かつ、前記混合気の点火前に、前記燃焼室に供給される、
