Description

The present invention relates to a product sales data processing system equipped with a scale device that can register products while weighing them.

Conventionally, a product sales data processing system is known that makes product registration easy by arranging preset keys for product registration on the operation screen of a product registration device. (Patent Document 1)

The product sales data processing system shown in Patent Document 1 arranges detection devices such as touch sensors to correspond to products sold by weight in a showcase, and when a store clerk takes a product sold by weight from the showcase and places it on the scale, the touch sensor is operated to obtain product information (unit price) of the product taken out by weight, and the product information (unit price) is multiplied by the weight value of the weighed product to calculate the selling price of the product, making it possible to register the product.

However, the products that customers purchase are not limited to products sold by weight displayed in a showcase. For example, fruits and vegetables may be sold by number, so it would be preferable to be able to register both products sold by weight and products sold by number.

The present invention aims to provide a sales data processing system that allows users to register various products that can be sold by weight with simple operations.

One embodiment of the present invention is a product sales data processing device used in a product sales data processing system having a plurality of detection devices arranged corresponding to products and detecting user operation, and which has a display unit, and which is equipped with a display means for displaying a product specification screen on the display unit on which operators of registrable products are displayed and which is used to identify products to be purchased by customers, and a state switching means for switching the display of the product specification screen displayed on the display unit between a first product specification screen that displays operators of preset products without displaying operators of products for product registration based on detection of user operation by the detection devices, and a second product specification screen that does not display operators of preset products and is capable of displaying operators of multiple products for product registration based on detection of a user by the multiple detection devices.

- Basic configuration of product sales data processing system -
A merchandise sales data processing device and a merchandise sales data processing system according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
A product sales data processing system according to one embodiment of the present invention is installed in a store or the like where products sold by weight are displayed and sold.

The product sales data processing system of this embodiment includes a product sales data processing device 1 that is placed above a showcase A that displays products sold by weight, such as meat and prepared foods, and a detection device 2 that is placed corresponding to the products displayed in the showcase A, as shown in Figure 1, for example.
The product sales data processing device 1 and the detection device 2 are connected by wire or wirelessly.

When a store clerk or the like removes a product sold by weight from display in showcase A, the clerk operates (touches) detection device 2, and the product sold by weight is weighed by the weighing section of product sales data processing device 1. This allows product sales data processing device 1 to obtain product information (unit price) of the product being weighed that corresponds to detection device 2, and to execute product registration of the product sold by weight.

The product sales data processing system may be equipped with a higher-level device, and the higher-level device and the product sales data processing device 1 may be connected via a network, or the system may be configured with multiple product sales data processing devices 1 connected to the higher-level device.
In this case, all of the detection devices 2 may be connected to a plurality of merchandise sales data processing devices 1, or a specific plurality of detection devices 2 may be connected to a specific merchandise sales data processing device 1.

The above-described product sales data processing system is merely an example, and the product sales data processing system may be configured in any form.
For example, one of the product sales data processing devices 1 may be configured as a system having the function of a higher-level device, and a settlement device (accounting device) that only performs settlement processing may be connected to the network.

--Product sales data processing device 1--
The product sales data processing device 1 is a device that registers products purchased by customers and generates product registration information.
The product sales data processing device 1 of this embodiment is particularly suitable for registering products sold by weight, such as meat and prepared foods displayed in a showcase, and as shown in Figure 2, has a device main body 10 that accepts product registration operations by store clerks or customers, etc., and a weighing unit 20 with a weighing function.

The product sales data processing device 1 is not limited to products sold by weight, such as prepared foods, and is preferably also capable of registering products such as fruits sold by the number, such as apples, and other general products.

The main body 10 of the product sales data processing device 1 has a built-in control unit 100 that controls the product sales data processing device 1, and has a first display input unit 11 such as a touch panel that displays information to store clerks and accepts operations by the store clerk, a printing unit 12 that issues labels on which registered product information is printed, an input unit 13 composed of mechanical keys, and a reading unit 14 that reads information from the IC chip.
Furthermore, the device main body 10 has a second display input section 15, as necessary, which displays information to a customer on the side opposite to the first display input section 11 and accepts operations by the customer.

The weighing unit 20 of the product sales data processing device 1 includes a device such as a load cell, and outputs weighing value data of a product placed on the placement unit.
The weight detection device provided in the weighing unit 20 is not limited to a load cell, and may be any device.

-Detection device 2-
The detection device 2 of this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, is associated one-to-one with a product displayed on a product display shelf or the like, is positioned in the vicinity of the associated product, and detects operations (touches) by a store clerk or the like.

When a store clerk or other person operates the detection device 2, the detection device 2 detects the operation by the store clerk or other person and outputs information about the associated product to the product sales data processing device 1.

For example, when a store clerk receives an order from a customer to purchase one of the displayed products, the clerk operates the detection device 2 in showcase A that is associated with that product, and the operated detection device 2 outputs the identification information of the associated product, etc. to the product sales data processing device 1.

Note that the detection device 2 may correspond to a group of multiple products, rather than to the products displayed on a one-to-one basis, and the detection device 2 and the products may correspond one-to-many.

The usage of the product sales data processing device 1 of this embodiment will be described with reference to screens displayed on the display unit.
-First state-
When started up, the merchandise sales data processing device 1 is set to a first state, and displays on the first display input unit 11 a merchandise specification screen 500 for specifying a merchandise to be purchased by a customer.
An example of a product specification screen 500 displayed on the first display input unit 11 is shown in FIG.

The first state is a state in which product identification processing cannot be performed using the detection device 2, and is a state in which product identification processing is performed using a preset key for a product that has been set in advance.
On the other hand, the second state is a state in which the detection device 2 can be used to execute a product identification process.

The product sales data processing device 1 arranges an information display area 510, a salesperson display area 520, a preset tab area 530, a preset key area 540, and a function area 550 on the product identification screen 500.

The product sales data processing device 1 displays in an information display area 510 information such as product name 510a, tare weight 510b, product weight 510c, product price 510d, and price 510e.
The example shown in FIG. 3 shows an initial state before any product is selected, and the product sales data processing device 1 does not display information such as a product name 510a or a price 510e in the information display area 510.

In the example shown in FIG. 3, a column for product weight 510c is displayed, and a column for product unit price 510d displays the price per unit weight (per 100g). However, depending on the product selected, it may be preferable to display a column for the number of products instead of the column for product weight 510c, and to display the price per unit (per item) instead of the price per unit weight (per 100g) in the column for product unit price 510d.

The product sales data processing device 1 displays clerk selection keys 520a and 520b in the sales clerk display area 520 to select the clerk who will operate the product sales data processing device 1.

The product sales data processing device 1 acquires salesperson information by having the reading unit 14 read the ID card carried by the salesperson (reading process), and displays salesperson selection keys 520a, 520b of the salesperson that has been read in the salesperson display area 520.
In addition, when a store clerk approaches the merchandise sales data processing device 1, the merchandise sales data processing device 1 may automatically read the information on the ID card and display the store clerk selection keys 520a, 520b in the store clerk display area 520.

When a sales clerk or the like operates the product sales data processing device 1, the sales clerk or the like selects either of the sales clerk selection keys 520a or 520b and then performs the operation. The sales clerk selection key 520a selected by the sales clerk or the like remains active (displayed) while the sales clerk or the like operates it. In FIG. 3, the sales clerk selection key 520a is active.

The product sales data processing device 1 displays preset tab keys 530b and 530c, a state switching key 530a, and an arrow key 530d in the preset tab area 530.
The state switching key 530a is a key (operator) that switches between a first state in which product registration processing using the detection device 2 cannot be executed, and a second state in which product registration processing using the detection device 2 can be executed.

The product specification screen 500 shown in FIG. 3 displays a preset tab key 530b for "Fruits" and a preset tab key 530c for "Vegetables" in the preset tab area 530, but the store clerk or other person can operate the arrow key 530d to display other tabs.

In addition, in the product specification screen 500 shown in FIG. 3, the state switching key 530a is set to OFF (left position), and the product sales data processing device 1 is set to the first state.
Even if a store clerk or the like operates the detection device 2 in the first state, the merchandise sales data processing device 1 invalidates the operation and does not execute the merchandise registration process using the detection device 2 .

Depending on the settings, even if a store clerk or the like operates the detection device 2 in the first state, the state may automatically switch to the second state, and a product identification screen showing a preset key corresponding to the detection device 2 may be displayed. However, if some operation is being performed in the first state, such as weighing a product, it is preferable to restrict switching to the second state.

The product sales data processing device 1 displays one or more preset keys 540 a (operators) in the preset key area 540 .
In the product specification screen 500 shown in FIG. 3, a plurality of preset keys 540 a related to the preset tab key 530 b of “Fruit” selected in the preset tab area 530 are displayed in the preset key area 540 .
The preset keys 540 a displayed in the preset key area 540 can be changed by selecting a preset tab key selected in the preset tab area 530 .

The product sales data processing device 1 displays function keys in the function area 550.

Then, the store clerk or the like selects the preset key 540a of the product to be purchased from the multiple preset keys 540a displayed in the preset key area 540 of the first display input unit 11, and the product sales data processing device 1 identifies the product and displays a product registration screen 600 for that product on the first display input unit 11.
FIG. 4 shows an example of a product registration screen 600 displayed on the first display input unit 11.

The product sales data processing device 1 arranges on the product registration screen 600 an information display area 610, a salesperson display area 620, a switching key 630a for the preset tab area 630, and a function area 650, similar to the product identification screen 500, and also arranges a product display area 640 in place of the preset key area 540 on the product identification screen 500.

The product sales data processing device 1 may display all the keys in the preset tab area 630 on the product registration screen 600. In addition, the keys displayed in the function area, etc. of the product identification screen 500 and the product registration screen 600 may be changed or omitted as necessary.

The product sales data processing device 1 displays the product information obtained by executing the product specification process in the information display area 510 of the first display input unit 11, and also displays the selected product in an enlarged scale in the product display area 640.
If necessary, the product sales data processing device 1 may display the product information on the second display input unit 115. At that time, even if the first display input unit 11 is switched from the first state to the second state or the first display input unit 11 is switched from the second state to the second state, the second display input unit 15 does not need to change the display on the screen.
Furthermore, the product sales data processing device 1 may cause the printing unit 12 to print a label on which product information is written, if necessary.

In the product registration screen 600 shown in FIG. 4, product information about the apple selected in the product identification screen 500 is displayed in the information display area 610, and a picture or photo of the selected apple is displayed enlarged in the product display area 640.

The product sales data processing device 1 allows a store clerk or the like to input a numerical value into the product quantity 610c field by operating (touching) the product quantity 610c in the information display area 610, and the customer can change the number of products to be purchased by inputting a numerical value via the input unit 13 or the like.

Then, when a sales clerk or the like operates the active sales clerk selection key 620a displayed in the sales clerk display area 620 on the product registration screen 600, the product sales data processing device 1 confirms the quantity and price of the product, executes the product registration process, and returns to the product identification screen 500 shown in FIG. 3.

When the registration process for the product to be purchased by the customer is completed, the store clerk or other person operates the active store clerk selection key 520a on the product specification screen 500, and the product sales data processing device 1 displays the checkout screen 900 shown in FIG. 9 on the first display input unit 11.

The accounting screen 900 shown in Figure 9 comprises a details display area 910, a subtotal area 920, a retail clerk display area 930, and a function area 950. The product sales data processing device 1 executes accounting processing when a retail clerk receives payment from a customer and operates a retail clerk selection key 930a displayed in the retail clerk display area 930.
The product registration in the first state of the product sales data processing device 1 has been described above.

-Second state-
In the product identification screen 500 in the first state shown in Figure 3, when a store clerk or the like operates the state switching key 530a located in the preset tab area 530 from the off state (left position) to the on state (right position), the product sales data processing device 1 sets the product sales data processing device 1 to the second state.

In the second state, the product sales data processing device 1 displays a product specification screen 700 for performing product registration processing on the first display input unit 11.
An example of a product specification screen 700 displayed on the first display input unit 11 is shown in FIG.

The product sales data processing device 1 has an information display area 710, a salesperson display area 720, a preset tab area 730, a preset key area 740, and a function area 750 arranged on the product identification screen 700, similar to the product identification screen 500, and differs only in that the state switching key 730a is set to the on state (right position).

In addition, in the second state, the product sales data processing device 1 does not have to display preset keys (operators) for a pre-set product in the preset key area 740 of the product identification screen 700, as shown in FIG. 6.

In the second state, the product sales data processing device 1 is in a state where product identification processing using the detection device 2 is possible, and when a detection signal is input from the detection device 2 by a store clerk or the like operating (touching) the detection device 2, the product sales data processing device 1 displays the preset key 740b of the product corresponding to the operated detection device 2 in place of the preset key (operator group) 740a of the previously set product in the preset key area 740 of the product identification screen 700, as shown in FIG. 7.

The example shown in FIG. 7 is an example of a product specification screen 700 that is displayed when a customer wishes to purchase “penne shrimp” and “potato salad” and a store clerk or the like operates the detection device 2 corresponding to “penne shrimp” and “potato salad.”
The product sales data processing device 1 displays a preset key 740b for "Penne with Shrimp" and a preset key 740b for "Potato Salad" in the preset key area 740 of the first display input unit 11.

When a store clerk or the like operates the preset key 740b for "Penne Shrimp" or the preset key 740b for "Potato Salad" displayed in the preset key area 740 of the product identification screen 700, the product sales data processing device 1 displays a product registration screen 800 for the product corresponding to the operated preset key 740b.
FIG. 8 shows an example of a product registration screen 800 displayed on the first display input unit 11.

The product sales data processing device 1 arranges on the product registration screen 800 an information display area 810, a salesperson display area 820, a status switching key 830a, and a function area 850, similar to the product identification screen 700, and also arranges a product display area 840 in place of the preset key area 740 on the product identification screen 700.

The product registration screen 800 shown in FIG. 8 shows a state in which the preset key 740b for "Penne with Shrimp" has been selected by a store clerk or the like, and product information about "Penne with Shrimp" is displayed in the information display area 810, while a picture or photo of the selected "Penne with Shrimp" is enlarged and displayed in the product display area 840.

Specifically, the product sales data processing device 1 displays "Shrimp Penne" in the product name 810a in the information display area 810, and displays "300 yen" in the unit price (per 100 g) 810d based on the product information acquired by selecting the preset key 840b.

Then, a store clerk or the like removes the amount of shrimp penne desired by the customer from the display tray and places it on the weighing unit 20, and the product sales data processing device 1 weighs the product and performs pricing processing based on the product information (300 yen per 100 g) and the weighing value data.
The product sales data processing device 1 displays the product information (weight 810c and price 810e) obtained by the pricing process in the information display area 810.

Specifically, the product sales data processing device 1 displays "50 g" in the container 810b in the information display area 810, displays "200 g" in the weight 810c based on the measurement value data, and displays "450 yen" in the price 810e.

Then, when a salesperson or other such person operates (touches) the active salesperson selection key 820a displayed in the salesperson display area 820 on the product registration screen 800, the product sales data processing device 1 confirms the quantity and price of the product, executes the product registration process, and returns to the product identification screen 700 shown in FIG. 7.

The store clerk executes the product registration process for all products displayed in the preset key area 740 of the product identification screen 700 ("Shrimp Penne" and "Potato Salad"), and operates the active store clerk selection key 720a on the product identification screen 700 shown in FIG. 7, causing the product sales data processing device 1 to display the accounting screen 900 shown in FIG. 9.

In addition, in the product identification screen 700 shown in FIG. 7, if the active store clerk selection key 720a is operated without executing the product registration process for all of the preset keys 740b corresponding to the detection devices 2 displayed in the preset area 740, the product sales data processing device 1 may display a pop-up or the like to notify the user of this.

When the store clerk operates the state switching key 730a, 830a arranged in the preset tab area from the on state (right position) to the off state (left position) in the second state shown in Figures 5 to 8, the product sales data processing device 1 transitions to the first state. However, in cases such as when the store clerk is weighing the product, the transition to the first state may be restricted.

Also, in the second state shown in Figures 5 to 8, the product sales data processing device 1 may transition from the second state to the first state by the store clerk operating the preset tab keys 730b, 730c arranged in the preset tab area 730 of the product identification screen 700. However, in this case as well, if the store clerk is performing some operation, such as weighing the product, the transition to the first state may be restricted.

In addition, in the second state shown in Figures 5 and 6, if the detection device 2 is not operated by a store clerk or the like for a predetermined period of time, the product sales data processing device 1 may transition from the second state to the first state. However, in this case as well, if the store clerk or the like is performing some operation, such as weighing the product, the transition to the first state may be restricted.

Then, when the product sales data processing device 1 transitions to the first state without completing the product registration process for all of the products corresponding to the detection device 2, the product sales data processing device 1 may display the preset key 840b of the product corresponding to the detection device 2 for which the product registration process has not been executed on the product identification screen 500 in the first state in accordance with the preset key 540a of the previously set product.

When the preset key 540a, which is set in advance in the preset key area 540 of the product identification screen 700 shown in FIG. 5, is operated in the second state, the product sales data processing device 1 displays the product registration screen 600 in the same manner as when the product identification screen 500 is operated in the first state.

In this case, even if the product sales data processing device 1 is in the second state, if the product registration screen 600 is displayed and the product is being registered or other operations are being performed, the product sales data processing device 1 will not stop the ongoing registration process even if a detection signal is input from the detection device 2, and will prohibit changes to the display of the preset key area 740.

When the active store clerk selection key 520a is operated by a store clerk or the like, the product sales data processing device 1 completes the product registration process on the product registration screen 600, returns to the product identification screen 700, and lifts the prohibition on changing the display of the preset key area 740 based on the detection signal.

When the prohibition on changes is lifted, the product sales data processing device 1 may display the preset key 740b of the product corresponding to the detection device 2 operated during the prohibition on changes in the preset key area 740 of the product identification screen 700. In other words, the output from the detection device 2 operated during the prohibition on changes may be held in reserve and displayed on the product identification screen 700 when the prohibition is lifted.

Then, when a store clerk or the like operates the active store clerk selection key 720a displayed in the sales clerk display area 720 on the product identification screen 700 shown in Figures 5 to 7, the product sales data processing device 1 completes the product registration process and displays the accounting screen 900 shown in Figure 9.
The product registration in the second state of the product sales data processing device 1 has been described above.

Next, an example of the operation of the product sales data processing device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the flow chart shown in FIG.

First, the product sales data processing device 1 is set to a first state upon startup and displays a product identification screen 500 on the first display input unit 11 (S101).

The product sales data processing device 1, which has displayed the product identification screen 500, determines whether or not the state switching key 530a has been operated by a store clerk or the like (S102).

If the product sales data processing device 1 determines in step S102 that no operation has been performed on the state switching key 530a (the state switching key 530a has been set to OFF: the first state), it proceeds to step S103.

After proceeding to step S103, the product sales data processing device 1 sets (maintains) the first state and proceeds to step S106 while keeping the product identification screen 500 displayed on the first display input unit 11.

After proceeding to step S106, the product sales data processing device 1 prohibits product registration processing based on the high-touch detection signal and proceeds to step S108.

On the other hand, if the product sales data processing device 1 determines in step S102 that an operation has been performed on the state switching key 530a (the state switching key 530a has been set to ON: the second state), it proceeds to step S104.

When the product sales data processing device 1 proceeds to step S104, it sets the device to the second state, displays the product identification screen 700 on the first display input unit 11, and proceeds to step S105.

The product sales data processing device 1 proceeds to step S105, and determines whether or not a detection signal has been input from the detection device 2. If it determines that a detection signal has been input, it displays a preset key corresponding to the detection signal in the preset key area 740 of the product identification screen 700.
After displaying the product specification screen 700 including the preset key area 740, the product sales data processing device 1 proceeds to step S108.

If the product sales data processing device 1 determines in step S105 that a detection signal has not been input, it skips step S107 and proceeds to step S108 with the pre-set keys displayed on the product identification screen 700.

In step S108, the product sales data processing device 1 determines whether or not a preset key displayed on the product specification screen 500, 700 has been operated.
If the merchandise sales data processing device 1 determines in step S108 that a preset key has been operated by a store clerk or the like, it displays the merchandise registration screen 600, 800 and executes the merchandise registration process (S109).
If the product is sold by weight, the product sales data processing device 1 uses the weight value data from the weighing unit 20 to price the product sold by weight, and executes the product registration process (S109).

After executing the product registration process for the product selected by the store clerk or the like, the product sales data processing device 1 determines whether or not the store clerk or the like has issued a command to output transaction information (S110).
The product sales data processing device 1 determines whether or not a command to output transaction information has been issued based on whether or not the active store clerk selection key 520a on the product specification screen 500, 700 has been operated.

If the product sales data processing device 1 determines in step S110 that a command to output transaction information has been issued, it executes transaction processing (S111) and completes the processing.
On the other hand, if the product sales data processing device 1 determines in step S110 that a command to output the transaction information has not been issued, it returns to step S102 and repeats steps S102 to S109 until a command to output the transaction information is issued.
An example of the product registration operation in the product sales data processing device 1 of this embodiment has been described above.

FIG. 11 shows an example of a functional block diagram of the product sales data processing system of this embodiment.
The control unit 100 of the product sales data processing device 1 includes a display means 111a for displaying various information on the first display input unit 11 and the second display input unit 15, a reception means 111b for receiving operations on the first display input unit 11 and the second display input unit 15, a state switching means 107 for switching to a state in which product registration by the detection device 2 is possible, a weighing means 120 for obtaining weighing value data of the product weighed by the weighing unit 20, a product identification means 103 for identifying the product to be purchased by the customer based on the information etc. received by the reception means 111b, and a weighing means 120 for determining the product to be purchased by the customer based on the product information of the product identified by the product identification means 103 and the weighing value data obtained by the weighing means 120. The system comprises calculation (pricing) means 104 which calculates the price of the goods for sale, product registration means 105 which registers the goods, output means 106 which outputs accounting information of the goods registered by the product registration means 105, printing means 112 which issues from the printing unit 12 the accounting information output by the output means 106 or the product information registered by the product registration means 105, input means 113 which inputs numerical information etc. by operating the input unit 13, reading means 114 which reads ID cards etc. by the reading unit 14, detection means 102 which inputs a detection signal from the detection device 2, and prohibition means 108 which prohibits product registration based on the detection signal from the detection device 2.

The display means 111a displays product information on the first display input unit 11 or the second display input unit 15, and displays preset keys for registering products (display processing).

The reception means 111b receives operations by store clerks or the like on the first display input unit 11 or the second display input unit 15 (operation reception process).

The state switching means 107 switches between a first state in which the product registration process using the detection device 2 is not executable, and a second state in which the product registration process using the detection device 2 is executable (state switching process).
The detection means 102 detects a detection signal outputted by the detection device 2 when the detection device 2 is operated (detection process).

In response to the state switching by the state switching means 107, when the display means 111a is in the first state, it displays preset keys (a group of operators) for selecting a previously set product on the first display input unit 11.
The preset keys for selecting a previously set product are preset keys corresponding to products that are regularly displayed in a store, for example.

On the other hand, when the display means 111a is in the second state, when a detection signal is input to the detection means 102, the display means 111a displays a preset key for a product corresponding to the detection signal on the first display input unit 11 (preset key display change process). Note that even in the second state, the display means 111a may display preset keys (operators) for selecting a preset product on the first display input unit 11 until a detection signal is input.

The weighing means 120 is in communication with the weighing section 20 and obtains weighing value data based on information from the weighing section 20 (weighing process).
The product identification means 103 identifies a product related to a selected preset key when a store clerk or the like selects a preset key displayed on the first display input unit 11 or the second display input unit 15, and obtains product information about the product (product identification processing).
The identification of a product by a store clerk or the like is not limited to the operation of a preset key. For example, the store clerk or the like may identify a product and obtain product information by reading a barcode or the like corresponding to the product using a reading device such as a barcode scanner.

When the product identified by the product identification means 103 is a product sold by weight, the calculation means 104 calculates price information for the product sold by weight based on the product information (product unit price) of the product sold by weight and the measurement value data obtained by the weighing means 120 (pricing process).

The product registration means 105 registers products purchased by customers (product registration process).
When registering a product, if the product is sold by weight, the product information acquired by the product identification means 103 and the product price calculated by the calculation means 104 can be registered together as product information. If the product is not sold by weight, the product information acquired by the product identification means 103 can be registered as product information.

The output means 106 outputs the accounting information of the products registered by the product registration means 105 (output processing).
The prohibition means 108 prohibits the display means 111a from changing the preset key display based on a detection signal from the detection device 2 during the product registration process (prohibition process).

In addition, the control unit 100 controls the product sales data processing device 1 as a whole, for example, storing each piece of input (acquired) or detected information in a storage device such as a memory as appropriate, reading each piece of information from the storage device and displaying it on a display unit such as the first display input unit 11, and exchanging information with other devices.

The product sales data processing device 1 of this embodiment has a control unit 100 including a CPU 1001, a ROM 1002, a RAM 1003, a memory 1004, a network I/F 1005, an input unit I/F 1006, a display unit I/F 1007, a printing unit I/F 1008, etc.

The CPU 1001 constitutes a computer and executes instructions of a software program.
The ROM 1002 prestores programs and the like for operation by the CPU 1001. The programs and the like may be stored in a portable storage medium such as a CD-ROM and read by an external device such as a CD-ROM drive.

The RAM 1003 is used as a work storage area necessary for storing programs and for the software to operate.
The memory 1004 is composed of a hard disk device or the like, and stores information such as product master data.

The network I/F 1005 is a circuit for exchanging data with means connected to a network.
The input unit I/F 1006 is a circuit for performing input/output with the input unit 13 such as a barcode scanner or mechanical keys.
A display unit I/F 1007 is a circuit for performing input/output with a display unit such as a touch panel.
A print unit I/F 1008 is a circuit for performing input/output with a print unit such as a printer.

--Effects of the product sales data processing system according to the embodiment--
The present invention relates to a product sales data processing system including a scale device capable of registering products while weighing them.

Conventionally, a product sales data processing system is known that makes product registration easy by arranging preset keys for product registration on the operation screen of a product registration device.

Conventional product sales data processing systems place detection devices such as touch sensors in correspondence with products sold by weight in a display case, and when a store clerk removes a product sold by weight from the display case and places it on the scale, they operate the touch sensor to obtain product information (unit price) for the removed product. They then multiply the product information (unit price) by the weight of the weighed product to calculate the product's selling price, enabling product registration.

However, the products that customers purchase are not limited to products sold by weight displayed in a showcase. For example, fruits and vegetables may be sold by number, so it would be preferable to be able to register both products sold by weight and products sold by number.

The present invention aims to provide a sales data processing system that allows users to register various products that can be sold by weight with simple operations.

As described above, in the product sales data processing system of this embodiment, product registration processing can be performed using a detection device by operating the state switching key displayed on the product registration screen, making it possible to create a product sales data processing system that is compatible with products sold by weight through simple operations.

The screen that allows product registration using a detection device can display pre-set preset keys in the same way as the normal product registration screen, so normal product registration operations can be performed on the product selection screen that corresponds to the detection device, and the product registration screen using a detection device is easy to operate because it differs from the normal screen only in the preset area.

--Modifications--
The product sales data processing device 1 in the above embodiment switches to a second state in which product registration processing is performed by operating a state switching key, and switches to a first state in which normal product registration processing is performed without using a detection device by operating the same state switching key, but it may also be possible to switch to the first state in the second state by operating a pre-set key or preset area that has been set in advance.

In addition, in the first and second states, the product sales data processing device 1 of the above embodiment switches to a product registration screen and enlarges the selected product by operating a preset key located in a preset area, but the display may be changed so that the identified product can be seen with the preset area displayed without enlarging the product.

In another variant, in the second state, the product sales data processing device 1 may display a simplified screen in which the function area 550 and the like are omitted, compared to the product identification screen 500 displayed in the first state, and may display the product identification screen 500 in such a way that the positions of each area arranged thereon are different.

For example, the product sales data processing device 1 may display a store clerk selection key 520a together with preset keys 540a that are set in advance in the preset area.
In that case, the merchandise sales data processing device 1 may, as necessary, move the store clerk selection key 520a out of the area and display a preset key corresponding to the detection device 2 instead.

In another variant, when the detection device 2 is operated in the second state, the product sales data processing device 1 may display a preset key that is set in advance, replacing the lower side of the preset area that is displayed in the first state.

In addition, in the second state, when a pre-set preset key is operated to select a product, the product sales data processing device 1 of the above embodiment prohibits the display of the preset key corresponding to the detection device even if the detection device 2 is operated, but after the processing for the previously selected product is completed, the preset keys corresponding to the detection devices may be displayed together in the preset area.

The product sales data processing device 1 in the above embodiment is an example capable of accounting processing, but it may also be capable of outputting registered information to another accounting device, or may be capable of outputting the information as a label.

In addition, in the above embodiment of the product sales data processing device 1, information is mainly displayed to the store clerk by the first display input unit, and each process is executed by the store clerk's input operation, but the display unit and input unit may be arranged separately, and information may be displayed to the customer by the second display input unit, and each process may be executed by the customer's input operation (full self-service).
Furthermore, the product sales data processing device 1 may be configured so that some operations are performed by a store clerk or a customer (semi-self-service).

A merchandise sales data processing device having a display unit, for use in a merchandise sales data processing system having a plurality of detection devices arranged corresponding to merchandise and detecting user operations,
a display means for displaying on said display unit a product specification screen on which operation buttons for registering products are displayed and on which a customer can specify a product to be purchased;
