Description

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition.

One of the common properties required for hair cosmetic compositions such as hair oils and hair treatments is the effect of "holding hair together." Known examples of hair cosmetic compositions characterized by the effect of holding hair together include hair oils that contain vegetable oils and/or synthetic triglycerides (Patent Document 1, etc.).

Hair cosmetic compositions containing dimer acid esters such as dimer dilinoleyl dimer dilinoleate and dimer dilinoleic acid (phytosteryl/isostearyl/cetyl/stearyl/behenyl) as ingredients that exert a hair tying effect are also known (Patent Documents 2 and 3, etc.).

The above dimer acid esters are also used in hair cosmetic compositions and skin cosmetic compositions as ingredients that impart a moisturizing feeling to the areas to which they are applied, such as hair and skin (Patent Documents 4 and 5, etc.).

There are known cosmetic compositions that are applied to an object to be used without being washed off (so-called leave-on type cosmetic compositions) and cosmetic compositions that are applied to an object to be used by being washed off (so-called rinse-off type cosmetic compositions).

A leave-on cosmetic composition containing vegetable oil, synthetic triglyceride, or dimer acid ester can enhance the hair tying effect and improve the softness of hair (feeling that hair is not stiff), making it possible to softly tie hair. However, when these ingredients are used as ingredients in a rinse-off cosmetic composition, there is a problem that the hair tying effect cannot be sufficiently enhanced or that a good softness cannot be imparted to hair. For this reason, it is difficult to softly tie hair with conventional rinse-off cosmetic compositions.

The object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition that can enhance the effect of softening and tidying hair, even when applied to hair and then rinsed off.

The present invention provides a cosmetic composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D), in which the content of component (A) is 0.05% by mass or more and 10.0% by mass or less, the content of component (B) is 0.05% by mass or more and 1.0% by mass or less, the content of component (C) is 0.1% by mass or more and 45.0% by mass or less, and the content of component (D) is 50.0% by mass or more and 95.0% by mass or less.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably a cosmetic composition that is applied to an object to be treated and then washed off.

It is preferable that the cosmetic composition of the present invention further contains the following component (E).
Component (E): Silicone oil

In the cosmetic composition of the present invention, it is preferable that the above component (E) contains a silicone oil selected from the group consisting of the following components (E1) and (E2):

Component (E1): Silicone oil having a viscosity of 10,000 mPa·s or more at 25°C Component (E2): Amino-modified silicone having a viscosity of less than 10,000 mPa·s at 25°C

It is preferable that the cosmetic composition of the present invention further contains the following component (F).
Component (F): Polypropylene glycol alkyl ether

It is preferable that the cosmetic composition of the present invention further contains the following component (G).
Component (G): Vegetable oil

In the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the above component (B) is preferably polyquaternium-67.

In the cosmetic composition of the present invention, it is preferable that the above component (C) contains a cationic surfactant.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably a hair cosmetic composition.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably a hair treatment.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention contains specific components (A), (B), (C), and (D) in specific amounts, and therefore can enhance both the effect of tying hair together and the effect of giving hair a soft feel. Therefore, the cosmetic composition of the present invention can enhance the effect of softly tying hair together. The cosmetic composition of the present invention can sufficiently enhance the above effects even when applied to hair and then washed off.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention contains a dimer acid ester and/or a dimer diol ester, a cationized cellulose having an alkyl group having 10 or more carbon atoms, a surfactant, and water.

In this specification, the above-mentioned "dimer acid ester and/or dimer diol ester" may be referred to as "component (A)". In this specification, the above-mentioned "cationized cellulose having an alkyl group having 10 or more carbon atoms" may be referred to as "component (B)". In this specification, the above-mentioned "surfactant" may be referred to as "component (C)". In this specification, the above-mentioned "water" may be referred to as "component (D)".

The cosmetic composition of the present invention contains at least component (A), component (B), component (C), and component (D). The cosmetic composition of the present invention may also contain other components in addition to components (A) to (D). The above components, for example, component (A), component (B), component (C), component (D), and other components, may each be used alone or in combination of two or more.

(Component (A))
Component (A) is a dimer acid ester and/or a dimer diol ester. Examples of component (A) include esters of dimer acid, esters of dimer diol, and esters of dimer acid and dimer diol. Component (A) can improve hair manageability. In particular, in addition to the manageability of the entire hair, the manageability of the hair tips can also be improved. In addition, component (A) can improve the softness of the hair (feeling that the hair is not stiff). Furthermore, component (A) can impart manageability of the hair with a moist moisturizing feel. When the cosmetic composition of the present invention is a hair cosmetic that is applied to hair and then washed off, it can improve the manageability and softness of the hair after drying after washing off, thereby enhancing the effect of softening and tidying the hair. In addition, component (A) can impart a moisturizing feel to the applied part such as hair or skin. Only one type of component (A) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

Component (A) may be a monoester or a polyester. From the viewpoint of better shaping of the hair, it is preferable that component (A) is a polyester.

Examples of component (A) include di(isostearyl/phytosteryl) dimer dilinoleate, dimer dilinoleyl dimer dilinoleate, dimer dilinoleate (phytosteryl/isostearyl/cetyl/stearyl/behenyl) dimer dilinoleate, hydrogenated castor oil dimer dilinoleate, diglyceryl isostearate dimer dilinoleate, hydrogenated rosin condensate dimer dilinoleate, and dimer dilinoleyl diisostearate.

Of the above, component (A) is preferably dimer dilinoleyl dimer dilinoleate (INCI name: DIMER DILINOLEYL DIMER DILINOLEATE), and more preferably dimer dilinoleyl dimer dilinoleate, which is a polyester.

Commercially available products of the above dimer dilinoleyl dimer dilinoleate include products manufactured by Nippon Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. under the trade names "LUSPLAN DD-DA5", "LUSPLAN DD-DA7", "LUSPLAN SR-DM4", "LUSPLAN DA-R", "LUSPLAN SR-DC5", and "LUSPLAN SR-DP4".

The weight average molecular weight of component (A) is not particularly limited, but is preferably 5,000 or more, more preferably 10,000 or more, even more preferably 50,000 or more, and preferably 100,000 or less.

In 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the content of component (A) is 0.05% by mass or more, preferably 0.1% by mass or more, and more preferably 0.2% by mass or more, from the viewpoint of improving the manageability and softness of hair and from the viewpoint of imparting a good moisturizing feeling to hair or skin. In 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the content of component (A) is 10.0% by mass or less, preferably 5.0% by mass or less, and more preferably 2.0% by mass or less, from the viewpoint of improving the stability of emulsification and solubilization and from the viewpoint of suppressing stickiness. The content of component (A) is the total content of all components (A) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

(Component (B))
Component (B) is a cationic cellulose having an alkyl group having 10 or more carbon atoms. In a cosmetic composition not containing component (B), when the cosmetic composition is applied to an object to be applied (e.g., hair, skin, etc.) and then washed off, the above-mentioned effect of component (A) is greatly reduced. In contrast, in the cosmetic composition of the present invention containing component (B), even when the cosmetic composition is used after washing off, the above-mentioned effect of component (A) can be fully exhibited after washing off. In addition, component (B) can make the finger-running feeling during washing off particularly good. Only one type of component (B) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

The number of carbon atoms in the alkyl group of component (B) is 10 or more and preferably 24 or less, more preferably 22 or less.

From the viewpoint of further exerting the effect of component (A), component (B) is preferably polyquaternium-67. The above-mentioned polyquaternium-67 is a polymer of a quaternary ammonium salt obtained by subjecting hydroxyethyl cellulose to an addition reaction with trimethylammonium-substituted epoxide and lauryldimethylammonium-substituted epoxide, and is a cationized hydroxyethyl cellulose derivative.

In 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the content of component (B) is 0.05% by mass or more, preferably 0.1% by mass or more, from the viewpoint of fully exerting the effect of component (A). In 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the content of component (B) is 1.0% by mass or less, preferably 0.7% by mass or less, from the viewpoint of suppressing dryness. The content of component (B) is the total content of all components (B) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

(Component (C))
Component (C) is a surfactant. Component (C) allows the oily component (A) to be stably blended in the aqueous composition by emulsification, solubilization, etc. Component (C) also plays a role as a treatment component or a cleansing component depending on the application of the cosmetic composition of the present invention. Examples of component (C) include cationic surfactants, anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, and amphoteric surfactants. Only one type of component (C) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

In 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the content of component (C) is 0.1% by mass or more, preferably 0.5% by mass or more, and more preferably 1.0% by mass or more, from the viewpoint of emulsification and solubilization of component (A). In 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the content of component (C) is 45.0% by mass or less, preferably 20.0% by mass or less, and more preferably 10.0% by mass or less, from the viewpoint of suppressing stickiness and improving formulation stability. The content of component (C) is the total content of all components (C) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

The cationic surfactants described above have the effect of improving the ease of running fingers through hair when rinsing and after drying, and imparting a soft feel to hair and skin. From the viewpoint of improving the ease of running fingers through hair and imparting a soft feel, it is preferable that component (C) contains a cationic surfactant.

Examples of the cationic surfactant include monoalkyl quaternary ammonium salts, dialkyl quaternary ammonium salts, trialkyl quaternary ammonium salts, monoalkyl ether quaternary ammonium salts, other quaternary ammonium salts, alkylamines, and fatty acid amidoamines.

Examples of the monoalkyl quaternary ammonium salts include lauryl trimethyl ammonium chloride, myristyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, stearyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (steartrimonium chloride, INCI name: Steartrimonium Chloride), stearyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (steartrimonium bromide), alkyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (behentrimonium chloride, INCI name: Behentrimonium Chloride), cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (cetrimonium chloride), cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (cetrimonium bromide), alkyl (16,18) trimethyl ammonium chloride, alkyl (20-22) trimethyl ammonium chloride, stearyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, myristyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, tri (polyoxyethylene) stearyl ammonium chloride, and di (polyoxyethylene) oleyl methyl ammonium chloride.

Examples of the fatty acid amidoamine include myristic acid dimethylaminoethylamide, myristic acid dimethylaminopropylamide, myristic acid diethylaminoethylamide, myristic acid diethylaminopropylamide, palmitic acid dimethylaminoethylamide, palmitic acid dimethylaminopropylamide, palmitic acid diethylaminoethylamide, palmitic acid diethylaminopropylamide, stearic acid dimethylaminoethylamide, stearic acid dimethylaminopropylamide, stearic acid diethylaminoethylamide, stearic acid diethylaminopropylamide, stearic acid dipropylaminoethylamide, stearic acid dipropylaminopropylamide, behenic acid dimethylaminoethylamide, behenic acid dimethylaminopropylamide, behenic acid diethylaminoethylamide, and behenic acid diethylaminopropylamide.

The fatty acid amidoamine is preferably neutralized with an organic acid or an inorganic acid. The fatty acid amidoamine is preferably a fatty acid amidoamine salt. Examples of the organic acid include lactic acid, malic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, and acetic acid. Examples of the inorganic acid include phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, and sulfuric acid. It is more preferable that the fatty acid amidoamine is neutralized with lactic acid. The amounts of the organic acid and inorganic acid to be mixed are not particularly limited as long as they can neutralize the fatty acid amidoamine.

An example of the cationic surfactant is palmitamidopropyltrimonium chloride (INCI name: Palmitamidopropyltrimonium Chloride).

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains the cationic surfactant, the content of the cationic surfactant in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.1% by mass or more, more preferably 0.5% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 7.0% by mass or less. The content of the cationic surfactant is the total content of all cationic surfactants in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

The above anionic surfactants provide cleaning effects, foaming properties, etc.

Examples of the anionic surfactants include fatty acid salts such as laurates, myristates, palmitates, and stearates; alkyl sulfate ester salts such as sodium lauryl sulfate, triethanolamine lauryl sulfate, sodium myristyl sulfate, sodium stearyl sulfate, sodium oleyl sulfate, and sodium cetyl sulfate; polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfates such as sodium polyoxyethylene lauryl ether sulfate and sodium polyoxyethylene myristyl ether sulfate; α-olefin sulfonates such as sodium tetradecene sulfonate; sodium myristoyl methyl taurate, sodium palmitoyl methyl taurate, sodium stearoyl methyl taurate, sodium oleo ... and sodium coconut oil fatty acid methyl taurate; alkyl sulfosuccinate salts such as dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate and disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate; alkyl sulfosuccinate polyoxyethylene salts such as disodium polyoxyethylene lauryl sulfosuccinate; monoalkyl phosphate salts such as sodium lauryl phosphate, sodium cetyl phosphate, and diethanolamine cetyl phosphate; sodium polyoxyethylene lauryl ether phosphate, sodium polyoxyethylene cetyl ether phosphate, sodium polyoxyethylene oleyl ether phosphate, sodium polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether phosphate, and polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether phosphate. polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphate salts such as triethanolamine lauroyl phosphate; N-acyl sarcosine salts such as potassium lauroyl sarcosine, triethanolamine lauroyl sarcosine, sodium myristoyl sarcosine, and sodium coconut oil fatty acid sarcosine; N-acyl-N-methyl-β-alanine salts such as sodium lauroyl methylalanine, triethanolamine lauroyl methylalanine, sodium myristoyl methylalanine, and sodium coconut oil fatty acid methylalanine; sodium lauroyl glutamate, triethanolamine lauroyl glutamate, sodium myristoyl glutamate, potassium stearoyl glutamate, disodium stearoyl glutamate, coconut oil fatty acid N-acylglutamates such as sodium acylglutamate and triethanolamine coconut acylglutamate; N-acylglycine salts such as potassium coconut acylglycine and sodium coconut acylglycine; alkyl ether glycol acetates such as sodium lauryl glycol acetate (sodium dodecane-1,2-diol acetate), potassium lauryl glycol acetate, sodium myristyl glycol acetate, potassium myristyl glycol acetate, sodium palmityl glycol acetate, potassium palmityl glycol acetate, sodium stearyl glycol acetate, potassium stearyl glycol acetate, sodium behenyl glycol acetate, and potassium behenyl glycol acetate.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains the above-mentioned anionic surfactant, the content of the above-mentioned anionic surfactant in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 1.0% by mass or more, more preferably 3.0% by mass or more, preferably 20.0% by mass or less, more preferably 15.0% by mass or less. The content of the above-mentioned anionic surfactant is the total content of all the anionic surfactants in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

The above amphoteric surfactants have cleaning and thickening effects.

The above amphoteric surfactants include alkylamidobetaine-type amphoteric surfactants such as lauric acid amidopropyl betaine and coconut oil fatty acid amidopropyl betaine; glycine-type amphoteric surfactants such as alkylglycine salts, carboxymethylglycine salts, and N-acylaminoethyl-N-2-hydroxyethylglycine salts; aminopropionic acid-type amphoteric surfactants such as alkylaminopropionates and alkyliminodipropionates; alkyldimethylaminoacetic acid betaines, alkylamidopropyldimethylaminoacetic acid betaines, and alkyldihydroxyethyl Aminoacetic acid betaine type amphoteric surfactants such as alkylaminoacetic acid betaine; sulfobetaine type amphoteric surfactants such as alkylhydroxysulfobetaine; imidazolinium type amphoteric surfactants such as alkylcarboxymethylhydroxyethylimidazolinium betaine; N-alkyl-N,N-dimethylammonium-N-propyl sulfonate; N-alkyl-N,N-dimethylammonium-N-(2-hydroxypropyl) sulfonate; N-fatty acid amidopropyl-N,N-dimethylammonium-N-(2-hydroxypropyl) sulfonate, etc.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains the above-mentioned amphoteric surfactant, the content of the above-mentioned amphoteric surfactant in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.5% by mass or more, more preferably 1.0% by mass or more, preferably 20.0% by mass or less, more preferably 10.0% by mass or less. The content of the above-mentioned amphoteric surfactant is the total content of all amphoteric surfactants in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

The above nonionic surfactants have emulsifying and solubilizing effects.

The above nonionic surfactants include polyoxyethylene fatty acid esters, glycerin fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene glycerin fatty acid esters, polyglycerin fatty acid esters, sorbitan fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid esters, sucrose fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ethers, polyglycerin alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene (hydrogenated) castor oil, and fatty acid alkylol amides.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains the above-mentioned nonionic surfactant, the content of the above-mentioned nonionic surfactant in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.5% by mass or more, more preferably 1.0% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 7.0% by mass or less. The content of the above-mentioned nonionic surfactant is the total content of all nonionic surfactants in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

(Component (D))
Component (D) is water. Component (D) is preferably purified water. Since the cosmetic composition of the present invention is an aqueous composition, component (B) can be stably blended. In 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention, the content of component (D) is 50.0% by mass or more, preferably 55.0% by mass or more and 95.0% by mass or less, and preferably 85.0% by mass or less.

(Component (E))
The cosmetic composition of the present invention may contain a silicone oil. In the present specification, the above-mentioned "silicone oil" may be referred to as "component (E)". Component (E) can impart a soft feel (soft touch) and a smooth feel (easy to run your fingers through, smooth to the touch) to hair and skin after drying. Only one type of component (E) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

Component (E) includes dimethyl silicone oils such as methyl polysiloxane (dimethicone) and highly polymerized methyl polysiloxane; methyl phenyl silicone oils such as methyl phenyl polysiloxane; cyclic silicone oils such as methyl cyclopolysiloxane, octamethyl cyclotetrasiloxane, decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane, and dodecamethyl cyclohexasiloxane; amino-modified silicones such as aminopropyl methyl siloxane-dimethyl siloxane copolymer, aminoethyl aminopropyl methyl siloxane-dimethyl siloxane copolymer, and aminoethyl aminopropyl methyl siloxane-dimethyl siloxane copolymer, carboxy-modified silicone, fatty acid-modified silicone, alcohol-modified silicone, aliphatic alcohol-modified silicone, epoxy-modified silicone, fluorine-modified silicone, and alkyl-modified silicone; methyl hydrogen polysiloxane, dimethiconol, etc.

Component (E) preferably contains a silicone oil (at least one silicone oil) selected from the group consisting of silicone oils having a viscosity of 10,000 mPa·s or more at 25°C and amino-modified silicones having a viscosity of less than 10,000 mPa·s at 25°C.

In this specification, the above-mentioned "silicone oil having a viscosity of 10,000 mPa·s or more at 25°C" may be referred to as "component (E1)." Component (E1) is a so-called highly polymerized silicone.

In this specification, the above "amino-modified silicone having a viscosity of less than 10,000 mPa·s at 25°C" may be referred to as "component (E2)."

Therefore, it is preferable that component (E) contains a silicone oil selected from the group consisting of components (E1) and (E2). Note that component (E1) contains an amino-modified silicone having a viscosity of 10,000 mPa·s or more at 25°C.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (E1), it can provide a good smooth feeling to hair and skin after drying. When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (E2), it can enhance the soft feeling of hair and skin during application and after drying.

The viscosity of component (E1) at 25°C is 10,000 mPa·s or more, preferably 60,000 mPa·s or more, more preferably 80,000 mPa·s or more, preferably 30,000,000 mPa·s or less, more preferably 1,500,000 mPa·s or less, and even more preferably 1,000,000 mPa·s or less. When the viscosity is equal to or greater than the lower limit and equal to or less than the upper limit, a smooth feeling can be imparted to hair and skin after drying even more satisfactorily.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (E), the content of component (E) in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 1.0% by mass or more, more preferably 3.0% by mass or more, preferably 30.0% by mass or less, more preferably 20.0% by mass or less. The content of component (E) is the total content of all components (E) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains a silicone oil selected from the group consisting of component (E1) and component (E2), the total content of component (E1) and component (E2) in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.1% by mass or more, more preferably 0.5% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 5.0% by mass or less.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (E1), the content of component (E1) in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.1% by mass or more, more preferably 0.5% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 5.0% by mass or less. The content of component (E1) is the total content of all components (E1) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (E2), the content of component (E2) in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.1% by mass or more, more preferably 0.5% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 5.0% by mass or less. The content of component (E2) is the total content of all components (E2) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

(Component (F))
The cosmetic composition of the present invention may contain a polypropylene glycol alkyl ether (polyoxypropylene alkyl ether). In this specification, the above-mentioned "polypropylene glycol alkyl ether" may be referred to as "component (F)". By using component (F) in combination with component (A) and component (E), the above-mentioned effects of component (A) and component (F) are more effectively exhibited. Only one type of component (F) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

Component (F) includes PPG-3 caprylyl ether and PPG-5 caprylyl ether. Of these, PPG-3 caprylyl ether is preferred.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (F), the content of component (F) in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.05% by mass or more, more preferably 0.1% by mass or more, and preferably 5.0% by mass or less, more preferably 3.0% by mass or less. The content of component (F) is the total content of all components (F) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

(Component (G))
The cosmetic composition of the present invention may contain a vegetable oil. In this specification, the above-mentioned "vegetable oil" may be referred to as "ingredient (G)". Component (G) further improves the effect of tying hair.

Examples of the above component (G) include macadamia nut oil, eucalyptus oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, safflower oil, olive oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, kukui nut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, sunflower oil, rosehip oil, olive squalane, camellia oil, kiwi fruit seed oil, camellia oil, apricot kernel oil, sesame oil, soybean oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, hazelnut oil, meadowfoam oil, peppermint oil, argan oil, carrot oil, lavender oil, sugar squalane, and crambe abyssinica seed oil.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (G), the content of component (G) in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.05% by mass or more, more preferably 0.2% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 5.0% by mass or less. The content of component (G) is the total content of all components (G) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

(Other ingredients)
The cosmetic composition of the present invention may contain other components in addition to the above-mentioned components (A) to (G). Examples of the other components include lower alcohols such as ethanol, polyhydric alcohols, higher alcohols, ester oils other than component (A), hydrocarbon oils, moisturizers, bactericides, pearlizing agents, anti-inflammatory agents such as glycyrrhizic acid and its salts, cooling agents such as menthol, pH adjusters such as phosphoric acid and its salts, citric acid and its salts, lactic acid and its salts, sodium hydroxide, and triethanolamine, fragrances, ultraviolet absorbers, antioxidants, sequestering agents (chelating agents), film-forming polymeric compounds such as polyvinylpyrrolidone, powders such as kaolin, silica, and talc, colorants, pigments, vitamins, amino acids, astringents, skin-whitening agents, animal and plant extracts, acids, and alkalis.

Examples of ester oils other than component (A) above include cetyl octanoate, ethyl oleate, isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, myristyl myristate, cetyl palmitate, 2-ethylhexyl palmitate, octyldodecyl myristate, isopropyl isostearate, propylene glycol isostearate, cetyl 2-ethylhexanoate, glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, isononyl isononanoate, diisopropyl adipate, pentaerythrityl tetraoctanoate, pentaerythrityl tetraisostearate, and apple. Examples of such glyceryl esters include diisostearyl acid, erythrityl triethylhexanoate, 2-ethylhexyl hydroxystearate, dipentaerythrityl hexa(hydroxystearic acid/stearic acid/rosin acid), dipentaerythrityl tetra(hydroxystearic acid/isostearate), dipentaerythrityl hexahydroxystearate, glyceryl (ethylhexanoate/stearic acid/adipic acid), glyceryl tri(caprylic acid/capric acid/myristic acid/stearic acid), dipentaerythrityl hexa(behenic acid/benzoic acid/ethylhexanoate), and alkyl benzoate (C12-15).

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains an ester oil other than the above component (A), the content of all ester oils in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.5% by mass or more, more preferably 1.0% by mass or more, preferably 20.0% by mass or less, more preferably 10.0% by mass or less. The content of all ester oils is the sum of the content of component (A) and the content of ester oils other than component (A) in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

The above-mentioned hydrocarbon oils include α-olefin oligomers, light isoparaffin, light liquid isoparaffin, squalane, synthetic squalane, vegetable squalane, liquid isoparaffin, and liquid paraffin.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains the above-mentioned hydrocarbon oil, the content of the above-mentioned hydrocarbon oil is preferably 0.5% by mass or more, more preferably 1.0% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 7.0% by mass or less, based on 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention. The content of the above-mentioned hydrocarbon oil is the total content of all the hydrocarbon oils in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

The higher alcohol is preferably an aliphatic alcohol having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, such as lauryl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, isostearyl alcohol, hexyldecanol, 2-octyldodecanol, oleyl alcohol, decyltetradecanol, and behenyl alcohol.

When the cosmetic composition of the present invention contains the above-mentioned higher alcohol, the content of the above-mentioned higher alcohol in 100% by mass of the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably 0.5% by mass or more, more preferably 3.0% by mass or more, even more preferably 5.0% by mass or more, particularly preferably 6.5% by mass or more, preferably 20.0% by mass or less, more preferably 15.0% by mass or less, and even more preferably 13.0% by mass or less. The content of the above-mentioned higher alcohol is the total content of all higher alcohols in the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

(Other details of the cosmetic composition of the present invention)
The cosmetic composition of the present invention may be a solubilized composition in which an oily component is solubilized in a water solvent, or may be an emulsion composition. The cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably an emulsion cosmetic composition, and more preferably an oil-in-water (O/W) type emulsion cosmetic composition.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention may be a hair cosmetic composition or a skin cosmetic composition. Examples of the hair cosmetic composition include hair treatments (including hair rinses and hair conditioners), hair styling products, hair shampoos, and the like. Examples of the skin cosmetic composition include skin cleansing compositions such as body shampoos, face washes, and makeup removers; moisturizing cosmetics such as body creams, face creams, and emulsions; makeup bases, makeup cosmetics, and the like.

The effects of the present invention are more effectively achieved by applying the composition to hair, so the cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably a hair cosmetic composition, and more preferably an emulsified hair cosmetic composition.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably a cosmetic composition that is applied to an object to be treated and then washed off, since it still fully exhibits the effect of softening and tidying hair and the effect of imparting a moisturizing feeling to the applied part such as hair or skin, even when it is washed off before use. The cosmetic composition of the present invention is more preferably a hair cosmetic composition that is applied to hair and then washed off before use. The cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably a hair treatment.

A known method for producing a cosmetic composition can be used as a method for producing the cosmetic composition of the present invention. An example of a method for producing the cosmetic composition of the present invention is a method in which each component is stirred with a paddle mixer or the like.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention is an aqueous composition containing a surfactant (component (C)) and water (component (D)), and contains a dimer acid ester and/or a dimer diol ester (component (A)). When component (A) adheres to hair, it exerts an effect of tying up hair and imparting a soft feel to hair, presumably due to its high water-holding property. The use of component (A) not only imparts moisturized manageability to hair, making it easier to manage the entire hair, but also makes it possible to improve manageability of the hair ends. Furthermore, when component (A) adheres to hair or skin, it can impart a feeling (moisturizing feel) that makes the hair or skin feel moisturized.

However, when a cosmetic composition containing component (A) is applied to an object to be applied, such as hair or skin, and then washed off, that is, when used as a rinse-off type cosmetic composition, there is a problem that the above-mentioned effects of component (A) are significantly reduced. This is thought to be because component (A), which is an oily component, is washed off together with component (C), and component (A) does not remain on the applied area.

In response to these problems, the present invention has found that by blending cationic cellulose (component (B)) having a relatively long-chain alkyl group in addition to components (A), (C), and (D), even when a cosmetic composition containing component (A) is used after rinsing, the decrease in the effect of component (A) is significantly suppressed after rinsing, and the effect of component (A) is fully exhibited. This is presumably because, when rinsing, component (B) adheres to hair or skin via the quaternary ammonium group portion, and further, component (A) is anchored via the long-chain alkyl group portion of component (B).

As a result, the cosmetic composition of the present invention, whether used as a leave-on type cosmetic composition or a rinse-off type cosmetic composition, is excellent in the effect of improving hair manageability and softness, and in the effect of imparting a moisturizing feel to the applied area, such as hair or skin. Therefore, the cosmetic composition of the present invention exerts excellent effects, particularly as a rinse-off type cosmetic composition.

The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to examples and comparative examples. The present invention is not limited to the following examples.

(Examples 1 to 30 and Comparative Examples 1 to 12)
Cosmetic compositions (hair cosmetic compositions) were prepared by blending the ingredients shown in Tables 1 to 7 below (blending units are mass %). The blend amounts in the tables (blending amounts in 100 mass % of the hair cosmetic composition) are shown as pure amounts (unit: mass %). The content of citric acid in each cosmetic composition was 0.5 mass % or less, and was an amount that adjusted the pH of the cosmetic composition to the range of 4 to 5.

(evaluation)
The obtained hair cosmetic compositions were subjected to the following evaluations. The evaluation results are shown in the table. The evaluation was performed by five expert evaluators.

(Test Example 1: Finger-running during rinsing)
A hair bundle (human hair, length 30 cm, weight 10 g) was immersed in lukewarm water at about 40° C. After immersion, the hair bundle was lightly squeezed to remove some of the water, and then 2 g of the obtained hair cosmetic composition was taken in the palm of the hand and evenly applied to the entire hair bundle.

The above hair bundle was rinsed for about 1 minute with running water (lukewarm water at about 40°C) while running fingers through the hair bundle from the root to the tip, and the ease of running fingers through the hair bundle was evaluated according to the following criteria.

<Evaluation criteria for smoothness when rinsing>
◯ (Good): Almost no resistance is felt when you put your finger through it.
△ (fairly good): There is no feeling of the finger getting caught, but there is some resistance.
× (bad): Fingers feel caught.

(Test Example 2: Hair manageability after drying)
The hair bundle after evaluation in Test Example 1 was dried with a hair dryer, and immediately after drying, the hair bundle was visually observed and evaluated according to the following criteria.

<Criteria for evaluating hair manageability after drying>
◯ (Good): The tips of the hair bundle are not spread out, and the hair bundle as a whole is not spread out either.
× (bad): The ends of the hair bundle are spread out.

(Test Example 3: Softness of hair after drying)
After the evaluation in Test Example 2, the center of the hair bundle was lightly grasped so as to bend it in the longitudinal direction, and the softness of the hair bundle at this time was evaluated according to the following criteria.

<Evaluation Criteria for Softness of Hair After Drying>
◯ (Good): Hair does not feel stiff and is supple.
× (bad): Hair feels stiff.

(Test Example 4: Smooth feeling of hair after drying)
After the evaluation in Test Example 3, the hair bundle was checked for feel by running fingers from the root to the tip, and evaluated according to the following criteria.

<Evaluation criteria for smooth feeling of hair after drying>
◯ (Good): There is no feeling of fingers getting caught, and the fingers run smoothly through the surface.
× (bad): There is a feeling that fingers are caught, and the fingers do not slide smoothly.

The compositions and results are shown in Tables 1 to 7 below.

For hair strands treated with the cosmetic compositions obtained in Examples 1 to 30, the evaluation results for both hair manageability (Test Example 2) and hair softness (Test Example 3) were good, and the hair was soft and manageable. On the other hand, for hair strands treated with the cosmetic compositions obtained in Comparative Examples 1 to 12, the hair did not feel manageable or felt stiff, and it could not be said that the hair was soft and manageable.

In addition, when the hair bundles evaluated in Test Example 4 were touched with the hand, all of the hair bundles treated with the cosmetic compositions obtained in Examples 1 to 30 felt moist and had a good moisturizing feel.

Furthermore, when approximately 5 g of the cosmetic compositions obtained in Examples 22 to 24 were taken and applied evenly to the entire arm, the skin felt well-moisturized after application.
