Description

The present invention relates to an eyelash perm rod.

In eyelash perms, the back side of a rod made of a soft material such as silicone is fixed to the eyelid with glue, while the eyelashes are folded upward along the front side and fixed with glue, and then a perm solution is applied to fix the curled shape to the eyelashes. Since the length and direction of the eyelashes and the shape of the eyelid, as well as the desired shape of the curl, vary from person to person, it is common to use rods with various cross-sectional shapes to accommodate these (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).

Patent Document 1 proposes multiple types of eyelash perm rods with different shapes in cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction along the eyelid margin, by cutting the circumferential surface of the same cylindrical elastic body at different circumferential angles. In addition, Patent Document 2 proposes an eyelash perm rod consisting of a plate-shaped thin-walled portion and an axial curl portion formed at one end thereof, with multiple types of curl portions with different cross sections set to accommodate various curl finish shapes such as right-angled, semi-cylindrical, and bow-shaped.

However, since the length and direction of eyelashes and the shape of eyelids vary depending on the area of the eye, such as the inner corner, center, or outer corner, for each patient, it is preferable to vary the curl shape depending on the area, and it is not rare for a patient to desire a unique finished shape that is different from others. However, even if multiple types of lots with different cross-sectional shapes are prepared and set up as in the conventional method described above, if the cross-sectional shape of each lot is constant, it is not possible to adequately address the above-mentioned situation.

The eyelash perm rod according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

(First embodiment)
The eyelash perm rod (hereinafter, simply referred to as "rod") 1 in Fig. 1(a) is a rod-shaped body with a cross section of an arcuate shape, which is obtained by cutting a cylinder of a length approximately corresponding to the length of a person's eyelid margin (the edge of the eyelid opening) from a tube of a circular cross section made of soft elastic material such as silicone or natural rubber, and cutting the cylinder in the circumferential direction. The concave surface corresponding to the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder is the back side of the rod, while the convex surface corresponding to the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder is the front side of the rod. As shown in Fig. 1(b), the side having the notch in the longitudinal direction is set so as to follow the eyelid margin of the patient, and the back side is glued and fixed to the eyelid with glue or the like, while eyelashes are glued and fixed to the front side with glue or the like, and the so-called first and second agents of the perm solution are applied in sequence to the fixed eyelashes to perform the eyelash perm.

As shown in Figures 1(a) and 1(b), the lot 1 has three (plural) sections 1a, 1b, and 1c in the longitudinal direction along the eyelid margin of the patient, which correspond to the inner corner, central part, and outer corner of the eyelid of the patient. The cross section (A-A cross section) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the section 1a has a shape obtained by cutting a cylinder at a circumferential angle θ ₁ (about 120 degrees) as shown in Figure 1(c), the cross section (B-B cross section) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the section 1b has a fixed shape obtained by cutting a cylinder at a circumferential angle θ ₂ (about 180 degrees) as shown in Figure 1(d), and the section 1c has a fixed shape obtained by cutting a cylinder at the same circumferential angle θ ₁ (about 120 degrees) as the cross section of the section 1a. By setting sections with mutually different cross-sectional shapes due to differences in circumferential length as described above, it is possible to easily change the state of the eyelashes when fixed between the various parts of the eyelid.

In the case of lot 1, the circumferential length of the sections 1a and 1c corresponding to the inner corner and outer corner of the eye are set to be small, and the circumferential length of the section 1b corresponding to the central part of the eye is set to be large. However, the combination of the cross-sectional shapes of each section is not limited to this, and can be changed in various ways according to the characteristics of the eyelashes of the patient and the desired finish. For example, as shown in FIG. 1(e), the circumferential length of the sections 2a and 2c corresponding to the inner corner and outer corner of the eye are set to be large, while the circumferential length of the section 2b corresponding to the central part of the eye may be set to be small. Alternatively, the circumferential lengths of the sections corresponding to the inner corner, central part, and outer corner of the eye may all be different. As described above, the curl finish can be easily arranged by combining multiple sections with different circumferential lengths in various ways. Note that the long side of the lot with the notches is aligned with the eyelid edge of the patient, but this does not exclude the long side formed in a straight line being aligned with the eyelid edge.

(Second embodiment)
The rod 3 in Fig. 2(a) is made of soft elastic material such as silicone or natural rubber, similar to the rod in the first embodiment, and has a semi-cylindrical cross section, and is a solid rod-like body formed to a length that corresponds approximately to the length of a person's eyelid margin. The flat surface of the semi-cylindrical shape is the back side of the rod 1, while the convex curved surface of the semi-cylindrical shape is the front side of the rod. The side that extends in a smooth continuous line in the longitudinal direction is set to follow the eyelid margin of the patient as shown in Fig. 2(b), and the back side is glued and fixed to the eyelid with glue or the like, while the eyelashes are glued and fixed to the front side with glue or the like, and the first and second agents of the perm solution are applied in sequence to the eyelashes that are rounded by the convex shape on the front side, thereby performing eyelash perm.

As shown in Figures 2(a) and (b), the lot 3 has three (multiple) sections 3a, 3b, and 3c in the longitudinal direction along the eyelid margin of the patient, which correspond to the inner corner, central part, and outer corner of the patient's eyelid. The cross-sectional shape of each section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is formed in a semi-cylindrical shape, and the sections 3a and 3c corresponding to the inner corner and outer corner of the eye are the same shape, but these and the section 3b corresponding to the central part of the eye are not the same shape, and the radius (radius) of the curved surface is different. The cross-sectional shapes of the sections 3a and 3c have a small radius of the curved surface where the eyelashes are fixed, while the cross-sectional shape of the section 3b corresponding to the central part of the eye has a large radius of the curved surface where the eyelashes are fixed. As described above, by making the radius of the curved surface of the cross-sectional shapes different, the eyelashes at the inner corner and outer corner of the eye can be finished with a small radius of the curl shape, and the eyelashes at the central part of the eye can be finished with a large radius of the curl shape.

The above sections 3a, 3b, and 3c are not formed integrally as in the first embodiment, but are formed by connecting a plurality of rod-shaped individual lot pieces 31, 32, and 33 having a certain cross-sectional shape (semi-cylindrical) formed separately in a state of being aligned in the longitudinal direction as shown in FIG. 2(c). Therefore, each individual lot piece has an engagement portion at both ends in the longitudinal direction for connecting with other adjacent individual lot pieces. Each individual lot piece 31, 32, and 33 has a convex, square engagement portion 31a, 32a, and 33a at one end, and a concave (square hole) engagement portion 31b, 32b, and 33b at the other end that can be fitted with the convex engagement portion, and when connecting with other individual lot pieces, the convex engagement portion and the concave engagement portion of the adjacent individual lot pieces are fitted together to engage with each other. As shown in FIG. 2(b), one of the long sides of the lot 3 extending in the longitudinal direction is formed into a continuous line that can be aligned with the eyelid margin of the patient, and as shown in FIG. 2(d), the positional relationship (distance d, height h) of each engagement part with respect to the side 31c (33c), 32c corresponding to the one long side is set to be the same in each individual lot piece. The reason for forming the edge of the long side that runs along the eyelid margin into a smooth continuous line is that, unlike the first embodiment, each individual lot piece is a solid body with high rigidity and is not flexible, and if there is a step, it is difficult to align it with the eyelid margin. In addition, in order to make it easier to align the back side of the lot 3 with the convex curved surface of the eyelid when adhesively fixing it, the back side of the lot 3 is curved concavely in the longitudinal direction, as shown in FIG. 2(e).

In lot 3, the R of the curved surface is set small in the section corresponding to the inner corner and outer corner of the eye, and large in the section corresponding to the center of the eye, but this is not limited to this. For example, as in sections 4a, 4b, and 4c of lot 4 in FIG. 3(f), individual lot pieces may be combined so that the R of the front side of the cross-sectional shape corresponding to the inner corner of the eye is successively increased from the inner corner of the eye to the center of the eye and further to the outer corner of the eye. Also, as in sections 5a, 5b, and 5c of lot 5 in FIG. 3(g), the R of the front side of the cross-sectional shape corresponding to the inner corner of the eye may be small, the R corresponding to the center of the eye may be large, and the R corresponding to the subsequent outer corner of the eye may be the same as the R of the center of the eye. Also, the R of the front side of the section corresponding to the inner corner and outer corner of the eye may be large, and the R of the front side of the section corresponding to the center of the eye may be small, or individual lot pieces with the same cross-sectional shape may be combined. In other words, by selecting three (or more) individual lot pieces from a group of individual lot pieces that contains many individual lot pieces with mutually different cross-sectional shapes, and connecting them so that they are aligned in the longitudinal direction, the combination of cross-sectional shapes of each section can be changed in various ways.

The cross-sectional shapes of each section in lot 3 are different in width and height, but as shown in FIG. 3(h), they may be the same width W but different heights, or the same height H but different widths. The cross-sectional shape is not limited to the semi-cylindrical shape described above, but may be triangular, rectangular, or rounded corners, or other irregular shapes, or may be asymmetric. By combining sections with different shapes on the front side to which the eyelashes are fixed as described above, the curl finish can be easily arranged according to the characteristics of the eyelashes of the patient and the desired finish. The above-mentioned lots 3 to 5 have square engaging parts at both ends in the longitudinal direction, but they may be round in cross section as shown in FIG. 3(i). Furthermore, a stopper may be provided on the engaging part to prevent it from coming off unexpectedly.

(Third embodiment)
The rod 6 in Fig. 4(a) is made of a soft elastic material such as silicon or natural rubber, and includes a thin plate _6P and a rod body _6T with a protruding stripe that is provided along one end of the plate _6P in a generally straight line in a front view and that protrudes from the front side of the plate _6P (the front side in the figure). As shown in Fig. 4(b), the back side of the plate _6P is glued and fixed to the eyelid with glue or the like so that the rod body _6T extends along the eyelid margin of the patient, while the eyelashes are fixed to the front side of the plate _6P and the rod body _6T , so that the eyelashes straddle the rod body _6T as a protruding stripe and are given a three-dimensional shape. The first and second agents of the perm solution are applied to this in order to perform an eyelash perm.

As shown in Figures 4(a) and (b), the rod 6 has three (plural) sections 6a, 6b, and 6c in the longitudinal direction along the eyelid margin of the patient, which correspond to the inner corner, central part, and outer corner of the patient's eyelid, and the cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of each section (cross sections D-D, E-E, and F-F in Figure 1) have different shapes as shown in Figure 4(c). By changing the cross-sectional shape of the rod body _6T to which the eyelashes are fixed so as to straddle, it is possible to achieve different curl shapes at the inner corner, central part, and outer corner of the eye.

The above sections 6a, 6b, and 6c are not formed integrally, but are formed by interconnecting a plurality of individual lot pieces 61, 62, and 63, each of which is formed separately and has a certain cross-sectional shape, with slide-type fasteners (hereinafter simply referred to as "fasteners") S1 and S2 of a common shape integrally provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction, as shown in FIG. 5(e). As shown in FIG. 5(f) (G-G cross-sectional view of FIG. 5(e)), a fastener S1 with a concave cross section is formed at one end, and a fastener S2 with a convex cross section is formed at the other end, and these are closed by sliding them against each other to fit together. The edge of the long side of the lot body 6 on _{the T} side is formed in a smooth continuous line shape to make it easy to fit along the eyelid margin, as in the second embodiment. In addition, in order to make it easy to fit along the convex curved surface of the eyelid when the lot is adhesively fixed, the back side of the lot 6 is formed without any steps and is curved concavely in the longitudinal direction, as shown in FIG. 4(d). The cross-sectional shape of the individual rod pieces is not limited to that shown in Fig. 4(c), and various shapes can be adopted, for example, as shown in Fig. 4(f), and the height, width, and shape of the rod body _6T can also be set in various ways, and the combination of the cross-sectional shapes of each section can be changed in various ways, as in the second embodiment. This makes it possible to easily arrange the curl finish according to the characteristics of the eyelashes at each part of the patient's eyelid and the desired finish.

Other Examples
In the first embodiment, a cylindrical body made of a soft elastic material is cut in the circumferential direction to form the rod 1 having a shape with multiple sections whose lengths in the circumferential direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction are different in the longitudinal direction (axial direction), but instead of the cylindrical body, an elliptical cylinder having an elliptical cross section may be cut in the circumferential direction. Alternatively, a foil-shaped rod having a length that fits along the eyelid margin of the patient, capable of fixing the back side to the eyelid and fixing the eyelashes on the front side, may be cut in the longitudinal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction to form multiple sections whose cross sections are different from each other.

In the third embodiment, a slide fastener is provided on both ends of each individual lot piece, and the individual lot pieces are interconnected by closing the slide fasteners, but other connecting means may be provided. For example, in the case of lot 7 in Figures 6(a) and (b), each of the individual lot pieces 71, 72, and 73 has a convex engaging portion K1 at one end and a concave engaging portion K2 at the other end that can be engaged with the convex engaging portion K1, and when interconnecting with other individual lot pieces, the convex engaging portion K1 and the concave engaging portion K2 of adjacent individual lot pieces are engaged with each other. Also, for example, in the case of lot 8 in FIG. 6(c), each individual lot piece 81, 82, 83 has a tab T that extends outward from one end of the length of the lot and has a convex engagement portion K3 formed on the back side near its tip, and a concave engagement portion K4 on the front side near the other end in that direction, and when interconnecting with other individual lot pieces, the tab T covers the front side of the adjacent individual lot piece, and the convex engagement portion K3 and the concave engagement portion K4 are engaged with each other.

In each of the above examples, the eyelashes of the subject to be permed are divided into three sections based on their longitudinal position on the eyelid: the inner corner of the eye (the part close to the inner corner of the eye), the outer corner of the eye (the part close to the outer corner of the eye), and the central part of the eye located between them. A lot having three sections whose cross-sectional shapes are mutually different or can be different to correspond to the eyelashes in each of these areas is formed, but this is not limited to this, and two or four or more sections may be set, and the lengths of the sections may vary. In addition, various modifications can be made to the present invention without departing from its gist.
