前記形状記憶編組チューブを外部シャフトに導入するステップであって、前記形状記憶編組チューブが前記外部シャフト内では前記プリセット構造と異なる構造を有し、前記外部シャフトが1つまたは複数の電極を含む、ステップと、
前記形状記憶編組チューブを含む前記外部シャフトを、ガイドワイヤを超えて前記個人の肺静脈に導入し位置決めするステップと、
前記ガイドワイヤを除去するとともに、前記形状記憶編組チューブおよび1つまたは複数の電極を含む前記外部シャフトがループ部材を含む構造に成るように、前記形状記憶編組チューブがそのプリセット構造に成ることを許可する、ステップと、を含む、方法。

前記形状記憶編組チューブがニッケル-チタン合金から形成される、項目21に記載の方法。
Claims (10)
- 近位端部分および、境界で前記近位端部分に隣接する遠位端部分を備える長手方向に延在するカテーテルシャフトと、
前記カテーテルシャフトの前記遠位端部分に配置され、近位側の電極から遠位側の電極へ延在している複数の電極であって、前記近位側の電極は、前記境界の付近に配置されている、前記複数の電極と、
前記カテーテルシャフトの前記近位端部分に取り付けられたハンドルと、
ループ部材を前記カテーテルシャフトの前記遠位端部分に形成するためのループ部材引っ張りワイヤと、
を備え、
前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤは、前記カテーテルシャフトの前記遠位端部分の内表面上に存在し、
前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤの一端は、前記カテーテルシャフトの前記遠位端部分の取付け点に取り付けられ、
前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤの他端は、前記ハンドルの取付け点に取り付けられ、
前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤが引っ張られていない場合に、前記近位端部分と前記遠位端部分が、長手方向の軸に沿った直線状の構成で並んでいるとともに、前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤが、前記長手方向の軸の周りで複数のループを形成する渦巻状の構成を有し、
前記近位端部分と前記遠位端部分が前記直線状の構成に並んでいる状況で、前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤは、前記近位側の電極の付近で、直線状の引っ張りワイヤ構成から前記複数のループを形成する前記渦巻状の構成へ変形しており、
前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤが引っ張られる場合に、前記カテーテルシャフトの前記遠位端部分が、前記直線状の構成から、前記ループ部材を形成するように変化し、
前記ループ部材は、前記長手方向の軸と略垂直な平面を定義する完全なループである、
電気穿孔カテーテル。 - 前記複数の電極は、少なくとも10個の電極である、請求項1に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- ガイドワイヤ管腔を更に備える、請求項1又は2に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- 前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤが形状記憶合金から形成される、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- 前記形状記憶合金がニッケル-チタン形状記憶合金である、請求項4に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- 前記ループ部材引っ張りワイヤが所定の渦巻状構成にヒートセットされる、請求項5に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルシャフトが編組材料から形成される、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルシャフトが1つまたは複数のポリエーテル ブロック アミド材料層を含む、請求項7に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- 前記1つまたは複数のポリエーテル ブロック アミド材料層が、剛性が異なる域を含む、請求項8に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルシャフトの前記遠位端部分が前記カテーテルシャフトの前記近位端部分とは異なる剛性を有する、請求項9に記載の電気穿孔カテーテル。
