Description

The present invention relates to a disposable diaper, and in particular to a disposable diaper that can be used effectively in conjunction with an inner pad, which is a supplementary urine pad.

Conventionally, a method of using a disposable diaper by placing an auxiliary urine pad on the skin-facing side is known. With this method of use, the urine excreted by the wearer is first received by the urine pad, so the total usage cost of the absorbent article can be reduced by replacing only the urine pad as needed and continuing to use the disposable diaper worn on its outside. In addition, by replacing only the urine pad, the caregiver can easily perform the replacement work compared to replacing the disposable diaper worn on the outside of the urine pad.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a disposable diaper suitable for use with an auxiliary urine pad, which includes an absorbent body having a top sheet, a back sheet, and an absorbent body disposed between these sheets, and an exterior member to which the absorbent body is at least partially fixed and which holds the absorbent body against the wearer, and in which stretchable strip-shaped sheets are disposed in the waist circumference direction of the diaper at both longitudinal end regions of the absorbent body, and at least the portions of the strip-shaped sheets located in the outer regions of both side edges of the absorbent body are adhesively fixed to the exterior member. Patent Document 2 discloses a disposable diaper that includes an inner body having a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorbent body interposed between them, and an exterior body that is fixed to the outer surface of the inner body and extends to the front and rear of the inner body from the front body to the rear body, and the inner surface of each of the front body and the rear body is provided with a pocket that opens to the center in the front-to-rear direction.

As described above, conventionally, disposable diapers that have pockets or the like on the skin side of the diaper are known as disposable diapers suitable for use with supplementary urine pads, but when inserting the supplementary urine pad into the pocket on the skin side of the diaper, it is desirable to be able to stably hold the front and rear ends of the supplementary urine pad in the pocket. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and its purpose is to provide a disposable diaper that can stably hold the front and/or rear ends of the supplementary urine pad in a pocket on the skin side of the disposable diaper.

The disposable diaper of the present invention, which has been able to solve the above-mentioned problems, is formed in a pants-like shape and has a front torso section, a rear torso section, and a crotch section located between them. At least the crotch section is provided with an absorbent body having a top sheet, a back sheet, and an absorbent core arranged between them. An exterior member is provided on the outer surface side of the absorbent body. The exterior member is arranged at least on the front torso section and the rear torso section, and the front torso section and the rear torso section of the exterior member are joined to each other on both sides in the width direction. The skin-facing side of the front torso section and/or the skin-facing side of the rear torso section are bonded to each other. The front side is provided with a pocket that opens toward the center in the front-rear direction of the disposable diaper, and the pocket has a plurality of pocket elastic members, including a first elastic member, a second elastic member, and a third elastic member, arranged in the front-rear direction of the pocket along the edge of the pocket opening, the first elastic member, the second elastic member, and the third elastic member are arranged in this order from the edge side of the pocket opening, and the separation distance (second separation distance) between the second elastic member and the third elastic member is wider than the separation distance (first separation distance) between the first elastic member and the second elastic member.

As described above, the disposable diaper of the present invention has a pocket on the skin-facing side of the front torso and/or the skin-facing side of the rear torso, and the pocket is provided with a plurality of pocket elastic members. Therefore, when an inner pad, which is an auxiliary urine pad, is inserted into the pocket, the front and rear ends of the inner pad are firmly held by the first elastic member and the second elastic member near the opening edge of the pocket, and the third elastic member provided away from the second elastic member so that the second separation distance is wider than the first separation distance prevents the front and rear ends of the inner pad from being distorted in the pocket, and the front and rear ends of the inner pad can be stably held in the pocket. This makes it easy to properly install the inner pad on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper. Note that the front and rear ends of the inner pad refer to the front and/or rear ends of the inner pad.

It is preferable that the opening edge of the pocket is formed at a position overlapping with the absorbent core. Providing the pocket in this manner makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad into the pocket. In addition, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad are inserted into the pocket, they are supported by the absorbent core, making it difficult for them to inadvertently fall out of the pocket.

In the pocket, both ends in the width direction are joined to the exterior member near the opening edge where the pocket elastic member is provided, and it is preferable that, when the pocket elastic member is in a contracted state, the absorbent core extends outward in the width direction from both ends in the width direction of the pocket opening edge vicinity. In this case, when the pocket elastic member is in a stretched state, both ends in the pocket opening edge vicinity are located outward in the width direction from both ends in the width direction of the absorbent core, whereas, when the pocket elastic member is in a contracted state, the pocket opening edge vicinity contracts in the width direction, so that both ends in the pocket opening edge vicinity are located inward in the width direction from both ends in the width direction of the absorbent core. Therefore, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad are inserted into the pocket, the front and rear ends of the inner pad are suitably held down by the pocket elastic member, making it difficult for the front and rear ends of the inner pad to inadvertently come out of the pocket.

In the above case, when the pocket elastic member is in a contracted state, the length between both ends in the width direction of the portion near the opening edge of the pocket overlaps with the portion near the opening edge of the pocket and is preferably 50% to 95% of the width of the absorbent core that extends outward in the width direction beyond both ends of the portion near the opening edge. This makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad into the pocket, and makes it less likely that the front and rear ends of the inner pad will inadvertently come out of the pocket.

Of the pocket elastic members, it is preferable that at least the first elastic member and the second elastic member are provided in an area of 1/4 or less on the opening edge side in the front-to-back direction of the pocket. This allows gathers to be formed appropriately along the opening edge of the pocket, making it easier for the front and back ends of the inner pad to be firmly held by the first elastic member and the second elastic member.

It is preferable that the disposable diaper is provided with a front pocket as the pocket on the skin-facing side of the front torso section, and a rear pocket as the pocket on the skin-facing side of the rear torso section. By providing both a front pocket and a rear pocket in this way in the disposable diaper, the front end of the inner pad can be inserted into the front pocket and the rear end into the rear pocket, and the inner pad can be stably placed on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper.

The depth of the front pocket and the depth of the rear pocket may be the same or different. For example, when a woman uses a disposable diaper for incontinence, it is preferable that the depth of the rear pocket is longer than the depth of the front pocket, taking into account the position of the urethral opening. On the other hand, when a man uses a disposable diaper for incontinence, it is preferable that the depth of the front pocket is longer than the depth of the rear pocket, taking into account the position of the urethral opening.

In the disposable diaper, it is preferable that the pocket is a front pocket on the skin-facing side of the front torso section, and the thickness of the front end of the absorbent core is thinner than the thickness of the central 1/3 of the absorbent core in the front-to-back direction, and/or that the pocket is a rear pocket on the skin-facing side of the rear torso section, and the thickness of the rear end of the absorbent core is thinner than the thickness of the central 1/3 of the absorbent core in the front-to-back direction. By forming the absorbent core in this manner, it becomes easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad into the pocket.

The pocket is preferably formed by providing a cover sheet on the skin-facing side of the front torso and/or the skin-facing side of the rear torso of the exterior member. Specifically, a cover sheet is provided on the skin-facing side of the front torso and/or the skin-facing side of the rear torso of the exterior member, the cover sheet has a central edge on the center side in the front-to-rear direction of the disposable diaper and an outer edge on the outer side in the front-to-rear direction of the disposable diaper, the cover sheet has a bonded area bonded to the exterior member and/or the absorbent body, and a non-bonded area not bonded to either the exterior member or the absorbent body, the non-bonded area extends from the central edge of the cover sheet in the front-to-rear direction outward in the front-to-rear direction of the disposable diaper, thereby forming the pocket with the central edge of the cover sheet as an opening edge, and the pocket elastic member is preferably provided on the cover sheet. By providing a cover sheet in this manner, the pocket can be easily formed in the disposable diaper. In addition, the amount of sheet material used to form the pocket can be reduced.

The cover sheet is preferably folded back at least once on the outer side along a crease extending in the width direction, forming a folded-back portion on the inside of the pocket along the opening edge of the pocket, and the pocket elastic member is preferably disposed between the folded-back cover sheet on the outer side at the folded-back portion. By providing the pocket elastic member in this manner at the folded-back portion, the pocket elastic member can be stably installed in the pocket. In addition, the presence of the folded-back portion on the outer side of the cover sheet prevents the folded-back portion from directly contacting the wearer's skin, improving the comfort of wearing the disposable diaper, and allowing the front and rear ends of the inner pad to be easily inserted into the pocket without getting caught on the pocket elastic member.

It is preferable that the length of the fold in the front-to-rear direction is 10% to 50% of the depth of the pocket. If the fold is formed in this way, it becomes easier to provide the pocket elastic member in the fold, and it is possible to prevent an excessive increase in the amount of cover sheet used to form the fold.

It is preferable that the disposable diaper has a front pocket as the pocket on the skin-facing side of the front torso section, the front torso section of the outer cover has a plurality of front torso elastic members extending in the width direction lined up in the front-to-back direction, the front end of the front pocket is located forward of the front end of the absorbent body, and at least a portion of the front torso elastic members is disposed between the front end of the front pocket and the front end of the absorbent body, and/or a rear pocket as the pocket is provided on the skin-facing side of the rear torso section, the rear torso section of the outer cover has a plurality of rear torso elastic members extending in the width direction lined up in the front-to-back direction, the rear end of the rear pocket is located rearward of the rear end of the absorbent body, and at least a portion of the rear torso elastic members is disposed between the rear end of the rear pocket and the rear end of the absorbent body. In this way, if the exterior member is provided with a front torso elastic member and/or a rear torso elastic member, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad are inserted into a pocket and worn, the front and rear ends of the inner pad are pressed against the wearer's skin by the front and/or rear torso elastic member, making it easier for the front and rear ends of the inner pad to be stably held within the pocket.

The present invention also provides a combination of an absorbent article having the disposable diaper of the present invention described above and an inner pad placed on the top sheet of the disposable diaper. With this combination of absorbent articles, the inner pad can be stably positioned on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper by inserting the front and rear ends of the inner pad into the pockets of the disposable diaper.

In the above combination of absorbent articles, it is preferable that the width of the absorbent core of the inner pad is wider than the width of the absorbent core of the disposable diaper and narrower than the opening width of the pocket. This makes it easier to insert the inner pad into the pocket and easier to place it stably on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper.

When the disposable diaper of the present invention has an auxiliary inner pad inserted into a pocket provided on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper, the front and rear ends of the inner pad are firmly held by the first elastic member and the second elastic member near the opening edge of the pocket, and the third elastic member provided away from the second elastic member prevents the front and rear ends of the inner pad from being distorted inside the pocket, so that the front and rear ends of the inner pad can be stably held inside the pocket. This makes it easy to properly place the inner pad on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper.

An embodiment of the disposable diaper of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment shown in the drawings. Figures 1 to 6 show an example of the disposable diaper of the present invention. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the disposable diaper, Figure 2 shows a plan view of the disposable diaper shown in Figure 1 in a state in which the front and rear torso sections are untied and the disposable diaper is laid out flat in a side seal section, as viewed from the skin side, Figure 3 shows a III-III cross-sectional view of the disposable diaper shown in Figure 2, Figure 4 shows a IV-IV cross-sectional view of the disposable diaper shown in Figure 2, Figure 5 shows a partial plan view of the disposable diaper shown in Figure 2 from the front torso section to the crotch section, and Figure 6 shows a partial plan view of the disposable diaper shown in Figure 2 from the rear torso section to the crotch section. In the figures, arrow x indicates the width direction of the disposable diaper, arrow y indicates the front-to-rear direction of the disposable diaper, and the direction perpendicular to the plane formed by arrows x and y indicates the thickness direction z of the disposable diaper.

The disposable diaper 1 in the embodiment of the present invention has a front torso portion P, a rear torso portion Q, and a crotch portion R located therebetween, a waist opening 3, and a pair of leg openings 4, and is formed into a pants-like shape as shown in FIG. 1. In detail, as shown in FIG. 2, the disposable diaper 1 has a front-to-back direction y and a width direction x, and has a front torso portion P, a rear torso portion Q, and a crotch portion R located therebetween in the front-to-back direction y, and the front torso portion P and the rear torso portion Q are joined to each other on both sides in the width direction x, thereby forming a pants-like shape with a waist opening 3 and a pair of leg openings 4 as shown in FIG. 1.

In the disposable diaper 1, the front-rear direction y corresponds to the direction extending in the front-rear direction of the wearer's crotch when the diaper is worn. The front-rear direction y corresponds to the up-down direction of the disposable diaper 1 when it is formed into a pants-like shape, for example as shown in FIG. 1. The width direction x corresponds to the left-right direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction y. The disposable diaper 1 also has a skin side and an outer side with respect to the thickness direction z shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4. The skin side means the skin side of the wearer when the diaper is worn, and the outer side means the side opposite to the skin side. The front-rear direction y, width direction x, and thickness direction z of the disposable diaper 1 are also defined as the same directions with respect to the front-rear direction, width direction, and thickness direction of each member constituting the disposable diaper 1. The skin side and outer side of the disposable diaper 1 are also defined as the same surface sides with respect to the skin side and outer side of each member constituting the disposable diaper 1.

In the disposable diaper 1, the waist opening 3 is an opening through which the wearer's torso passes, and the leg openings 4 are openings through which the wearer's legs pass. The front torso section P corresponds to the portion that contacts the wearer's stomach when the diaper is worn, and the rear torso section Q corresponds to the portion that contacts the wearer's back when the diaper is worn. In the pants-shaped disposable diaper 1, the front torso section P and the rear torso section Q correspond to the portions located between the waist opening 3 and the leg openings 4. The crotch section R is located between the front torso section P and the rear torso section Q, and corresponds to the portion that contacts the wearer's crotch. The crotch section R is located between a pair of leg openings 4, and is not joined to each other on either side in the width direction x.

The crotch region R of the disposable diaper 1 is provided with an absorbent body 7 having an absorbent core 10 disposed between a top sheet 8 and a back sheet 9 (see Figs. 2 to 4). The absorbent body 7 is required to be present at least in the crotch region R, and preferably extends to at least a portion of the front torso region P and/or the rear torso region Q. More preferably, the absorbent body 7 extends from the crotch region R to at least a portion of the front torso region P and at least a portion of the rear torso region Q. In the disposable diaper 1 shown in the drawings, the absorbent body 7 having the absorbent core 10 disposed between a top sheet 8 and a back sheet 9 is provided on the skin-facing side of the outer cover member 2 formed in a pants shape. The top sheet 8 is disposed on the skin-facing side of the absorbent core 10, and the back sheet 9 is disposed on the outer surface side of the absorbent core 10.

The top sheet 8 is preferably liquid permeable, and may be, for example, a nonwoven fabric made of hydrophilic fibers such as cellulose, rayon, cotton, etc., or a nonwoven fabric made of hydrophobic fibers such as polyolefin (e.g., polypropylene, polyethylene), polyester (e.g., PET), polyamide (e.g., nylon), etc., in which the surface of the hydrophobic fibers has been made hydrophilic with a surfactant. In addition, the top sheet 8 may be made of a woven fabric, knitted fabric, perforated plastic film, etc.

The back sheet 9 is preferably liquid impermeable, and may be, for example, a nonwoven fabric made of hydrophobic fibers such as polyolefin (e.g., polypropylene, polyethylene), polyester (e.g., PET), polyamide (e.g., nylon), or a plastic film. A laminate of a nonwoven fabric and a plastic film may also be used.

When the top sheet 8 or the back sheet 9 is made of a nonwoven fabric, it is preferable to use a spunbond nonwoven fabric, an air-through nonwoven fabric, a point-bond nonwoven fabric, a melt-blown nonwoven fabric, an air-laid nonwoven fabric, an SMS nonwoven fabric, or the like.

The absorbent core 10 is not particularly limited as long as it contains an absorbent material capable of absorbing urine and other excrement. For example, a molded body obtained by molding an absorbent material into a predetermined shape can be used as the absorbent core 10. The absorbent core 10 may be covered with a sheet member such as a paper sheet (e.g., tissue paper or thin paper) or a liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric. Examples of the absorbent material contained in the absorbent core 10 include hydrophilic fibers such as cellulose fibers (e.g., crushed pulp fibers), and water-absorbing resins such as polyacrylic acid, polyaspartic acid, cellulose, and starch-acrylonitrile. The absorbent material may also include heat-welded fibers such as polyolefin fibers such as polyethylene and polypropylene, polyester fibers such as PET, and polyamide fibers such as nylon. These heat-welded fibers may be hydrophilized with a surfactant or the like to increase their affinity with body fluids such as urine.

The absorbent material preferably contains hydrophilic fibers in order to increase the absorption rate of urine, etc. Also, in order to increase the absorption capacity, the absorbent material preferably contains a water-absorbent resin. Therefore, the absorbent core 10 preferably contains hydrophilic fibers (particularly pulp fibers) and a water-absorbent resin. In this case, for example, it is preferable to use an aggregate of hydrophilic fibers mixed with or sprayed with a water-absorbent resin.

The absorbent core 10 may be a sheet-like absorbent. Examples of sheet-like absorbent bodies include those formed with absorbent resin between nonwoven fabrics and no pulp fibers. Since the sheet-like absorbent body formed in this way has absorbent resin between the nonwoven fabrics, it can achieve a high absorption capacity. In addition, since the sheet-like absorbent body does not have pulp fibers between the nonwoven fabrics, it can be formed thin and not bulky.

The absorbent core 10 is required to be present at least in the crotch region R, and preferably extends to at least a portion of the front torso region P and/or at least a portion of the rear torso region Q. The shape (planar shape) of the absorbent core 10 is not particularly limited. Examples of the shape of the absorbent core 10 include a substantially rectangular shape, an hourglass shape, and a shuttlecock shape. In the drawings, the absorbent core 10 is formed into a substantially rectangular shape.

The absorbent body 7 is preferably provided with rise flaps 11 on both sides of the skin-facing side in the width direction x. The rise flaps 11 can prevent lateral leakage of excrement such as urine. The rise flaps 11 are preferably liquid-impermeable. The rise flaps 11 are preferably provided with a rise elastic member 12 at the upper end (the end on the wearer side) in the risen state, and the rise of the rise flaps 11 is promoted by the contraction force of the rise elastic member 12.

An exterior member 2 is provided on the outer surface side of the absorbent body 7, and the exterior member 2 is arranged at least on the front torso section P and the rear torso section Q. The front torso section P and the rear torso section Q of the exterior member 2 are joined to each other at side seal sections 13 on both sides in the width direction x, and when the disposable diaper 1 is worn, the exterior member 2 covers the waist of the wearer. The side seal sections 13 are formed, for example, by joining the front torso section P and the rear torso section Q to each other on both sides in the width direction x by welding.

In one embodiment, the exterior member 2 may be disposed only in the front torso portion P and the rear torso portion Q. In this case, the absorbent body 7 is disposed so as to connect the front torso portion P and the rear torso portion Q of the exterior member 2, the absorbent body 7 extends from the crotch portion R to at least a part of the front torso portion P and at least a part of the rear torso portion Q, and a part of the absorbent body 7 is exposed on the outer surface side of the disposable diaper 1 at the crotch portion R. In another embodiment, the exterior member 2 may be disposed in the front torso portion P, the crotch portion R, and the rear torso portion Q. The exterior member 2 may be formed, for example, such that the front torso portion P, the rear torso portion Q, and the crotch portion R located therebetween are continuously formed. In this case, the exterior member 2 can be formed into a pants-like shape by joining the front torso portion P and the rear torso portion Q to each other at the side seal portion 13, and the absorbent body 7 is disposed on at least the skin-facing side of the crotch portion R of the exterior member 2 formed into a pants-like shape. Alternatively, the exterior member 2 may be separated in the front-rear direction y at the crotch portion R, and may be composed of a portion extending from the front torso portion P to the crotch portion R and a portion extending from the rear torso portion Q to the crotch portion R, with the absorbent body 7 provided to connect both portions. In the disposable diaper 1 shown in the drawings, the exterior member 2 is formed to have a pants-like shape as shown in FIG. 1.

The exterior member 2 is preferably provided so as to extend outward in the width direction x from the absorbent main body 7 in the front torso portion P and the rear torso portion Q. The exterior member 2 is also preferably provided so as to extend outward in the width direction x from the absorbent main body 7 in the crotch portion R. The exterior member 2 is also preferably provided so as to extend outward in the front-to-rear direction y from the absorbent main body 7, i.e., forward and backward.

The exterior member 2 preferably has an inner sheet 5 and an outer sheet 6 arranged on the outer surface side of the inner sheet 5. The absorbent body 7 is preferably provided on the skin side of the inner sheet 5. The inner sheet 5 and the outer sheet 6 may be liquid permeable or liquid impermeable, and may use sheet materials that can be used for the top sheet 8 and the back sheet 9. In the drawings, the inner sheet 5 and the outer sheet 6 are each formed to have a pants shape, but when the exterior member 2 is formed in a pants shape, it is sufficient that at least one of the inner sheet 5 and the outer sheet 6 is formed in a pants shape. For example, one of the inner sheet 5 and the outer sheet 6 may be provided separately in the front-rear direction y at the crotch portion R.

It is preferable that the outer cover 2 is provided with leg elastic members 14 along the edge of the leg opening 4. The leg elastic members 14 are, for example, composed of a front leg elastic member 14A that crosses the crotch R and is provided along the front edge of the leg opening 4, and a rear leg elastic member 14B that crosses the crotch R and is provided along the rear edge of the leg opening 4. The front leg elastic member 14A and the rear leg elastic member 14B provide elastic members around almost the entire edge of the leg opening 4, forming leg gathers along the wearer's legs and preventing leakage of urine, etc. from the crotch. In the drawings, the front leg elastic member 14A and the rear leg elastic member 14B are provided at a distance from each other, but the front leg elastic member 14A and the rear leg elastic member 14B may be partially in contact with each other or may cross each other. When the exterior member 2 is composed of an inner sheet 5 and an outer sheet 6, the leg elastic members 14 are preferably disposed between the inner sheet 5 and the outer sheet 6, and are preferably adhered to the inner sheet 5 and/or the outer sheet 6.

The front torso section P and rear torso section Q of the outer cover member 2 are preferably provided with a plurality of torso elastic members 15 extending in the width direction x. The torso elastic members 15 are provided between the waist opening 3 and the leg openings 4. The torso elastic members 15 improve the fit around the wearer's torso. Of the torso elastic members 15, elastic members provided at narrow intervals in the front-to-back direction y along the edge of the waist opening 3 may be provided as waist elastic members 16, which form waist gathers along the wearer's waist and prevent leakage of urine and other excrement from the back or abdomen. In the drawings, the waist elastic members 16 are provided at narrower intervals in the front-to-back direction y than the torso elastic members 15.

The torso elastic member 15 is preferably provided between the inner sheet 5 and the outer sheet 6. In this case, the torso elastic member 15 is preferably bonded to the inner sheet 5 and/or the outer sheet 6. The waist elastic member 16 may be provided between the inner sheet 5 and the outer sheet 6, or the outer sheet 6 may be folded back toward the inner sheet 5 at the edge of the waist opening 3 of the exterior member 2, and the waist elastic member 16 may be provided between the folded-back outer sheet 6 (see FIG. 4). In this case, the waist elastic member 16 is preferably bonded to the outer sheet 6.

Each elastic member provided in the disposable diaper 1 can be made of elastic stretch materials used in ordinary disposable diapers, such as polyurethane thread, polyurethane film, and natural rubber. Each elastic member is preferably fixed to the diaper in a stretched state, and is preferably fixed with an adhesive such as a hot melt adhesive. For example, polyurethane thread having a fineness of 40 to 1,240 dtex is stretched to a ratio of 1.1 to 5.0 and then fixed. A rubber-based hot melt adhesive is preferably used as the adhesive. The unstretched state is defined as 1.0.

2 and 4, the disposable diaper 1 is provided with pockets 19, 20 on the skin-facing side of the front torso portion P and the rear torso portion Q, which are open toward the center of the front-rear direction y of the disposable diaper 1. By providing the pockets 19, 20 in this manner, the disposable diaper 1 can stably position a supplementary urine pad (hereinafter referred to as an "inner pad") on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper 1. FIG. 8 shows an example in which an inner pad 31 is positioned on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper 1 shown in FIG. 2. The front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 can be inserted into the pockets 19, 20, and the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 can be held down by the pocket elastic members arranged along the opening edges, so that the inner pad 31 can be stably positioned on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper 1. The pocket 19 provided on the skin-facing side of the front torso portion P is referred to as the "front pocket" or "front pocket 19", and the pocket 20 provided on the skin-facing side of the rear torso portion Q is referred to as the "rear pocket" or "rear pocket 20". In this specification, "pockets 19, 20" refer to the front pocket 19 and/or the rear pocket 20. The disposable diaper 1 may be provided with either the front pocket 19 or the rear pocket 20, or may be provided with both, but it is preferable that both the front pocket 19 and the rear pocket 20 are provided.

The pockets 19, 20 can be formed by providing cover sheets 17, 18 on the skin-facing side of the front torso P and/or the skin-facing side of the rear torso Q of the exterior member 2. Specifically, the front pocket 19 can be formed by providing a front cover sheet 17 on the skin-facing side of the front torso P of the exterior member 2, and the rear pocket 20 can be formed by providing a rear cover sheet 18 on the skin-facing side of the rear torso Q of the exterior member 2. In this specification, the "cover sheets 17, 18" refer to the front cover sheet 17 and/or the rear cover sheet 18. A method for forming the pockets 19, 20 from the cover sheets 17, 18 will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 7.

Figure 7 shows an example of the formation of the joining areas where the cover sheets 17, 18 are joined to the exterior member 2 for the disposable diaper 1 shown in Figure 2. In Figure 7, the joining areas of the cover sheets 17, 18 to the exterior member 2 are shown by cross-hatching, and the outer edges of the pockets 19, 20 are shown by two-dot chain lines. Also, for ease of understanding, the leg elastic members, torso elastic members, waist elastic members, and pocket elastic members described below are omitted.

The cover sheets 17, 18 have central edges 17CE, 18CE on the central side in the front-rear direction y of the disposable diaper 1, and outer edges 17OE, 18OE on the outer side in the front-rear direction y of the disposable diaper 1. In the front cover sheet 17, the central edge 17CE means the rear edge of the front cover sheet 17, and the outer edge 17OE means the front edge of the front cover sheet 17. In the rear cover sheet 18, the central edge 18CE means the front edge of the rear cover sheet 18, and the outer edge 18OE means the rear edge of the rear cover sheet 18. In the following description, the reference symbol "17CE" is used for both the "central edge" and "rear edge" of the front cover sheet 17, and the reference symbol "18CE" is used for both the "central edge" and "front edge" of the rear cover sheet 18.

The cover sheets 17, 18 have bonded areas 17A, 18A bonded to the exterior member 2 and non-bonded areas 17B, 18B that are not bonded to either the exterior member 2 or the absorbent body 7, and the non-bonded areas 17B, 18B extend outward from the central side edges 17CE, 18CE of the cover sheets 17, 18 in the front-to-rear direction y of the disposable diaper 1 to form pockets 19, 20 with the central side edges 17CE, 18CE of the cover sheets 17, 18 as opening edges 19E, 20E. Specifically, the front cover sheet 17 has a bonded area 17A bonded to the exterior member 2 and a non-bonded area 17B that is not bonded to either the exterior member 2 or the absorbent body 7, and the non-bonded area 17B extends forward from the rear side edge 17CE of the front cover sheet 17 to form a front pocket 19 with the rear side edge 17CE of the front cover sheet 17 as opening edge 19E. The rear cover sheet 18 has a joining area 18A joined to the exterior member 2 and a non-jointed area 18B not joined to either the exterior member 2 or the absorbent body 7, and the non-jointed area 18B extends rearward from the front edge 18CE of the rear cover sheet 18, forming a rear pocket 20 with the front edge 18CE of the rear cover sheet 18 as an opening edge 20E. By providing the cover sheets 17 and 18 in this manner, the pockets 19 and 20 can be easily formed. In addition, the amount of sheet material used to form the pockets 19 and 20 can be reduced. Although not shown in the drawings, the joining areas 17A and 18A of the cover sheets 17 and 18 may be formed to join at least a part of the absorbent body 7 together with the exterior member 2 or instead of the exterior member 2.

In the joining regions 17A, 18A of the cover sheets 17, 18, the joining means between the cover sheets 17, 18 and the exterior member 2 and/or the absorbent body 7 is not particularly limited, and known joining means such as welding (for example, heat sealing or ultrasonic welding) or adhesives can be used. Conveniently, the cover sheets 17, 18 are joined to at least a portion of the exterior member 2 and/or the absorbent body 7 by adhesives.

The front pocket 19 is formed by the non-bonded region 17B of the front cover sheet 17 extending forward from the rear edge 17CE of the front cover sheet 17 by a predetermined width or more (for example, a width of 50 mm or more or 80 mm or more). At the opening of the front pocket 19, bonded regions 17A exist on both sides of the non-bonded region 17B of the front cover sheet 17 in the width direction x, and the rearmost part of the non-bonded region 17B located between the bonded regions 17A on both sides becomes the opening of the front pocket 19. The non-bonded region 17B that forms the front pocket 19 may be formed with a constant width from the opening edge 19E of the front pocket 19 toward the depth direction, i.e., from the rear edge 17CE of the front cover sheet 17 toward the front, or may be formed to vary in width.

The rear pocket 20 is formed by extending the non-bonded region 18B of the rear cover sheet 18 rearward from the front edge 18CE of the rear cover sheet 18 by a predetermined width or more (for example, a width of 50 mm or more or 80 mm or more). At the opening of the rear pocket 20, bonded regions 18A exist on both sides of the non-bonded region 18B of the rear cover sheet 18 in the width direction x, and the frontmost part of the non-bonded region 18B located between the bonded regions 18A on both sides becomes the opening of the rear pocket 20. The non-bonded region 18B forming the rear pocket 20 may be formed with a constant width from the opening edge 20E of the rear pocket 20 toward the depth direction, i.e., from the front edge 18CE of the rear cover sheet 18 toward the rear, or may be formed to vary in width.

Although not shown in the drawings, the pockets 19, 20 can also be formed by folding the sheet member constituting the exterior member 2 to the skin side and using the folded-back portion as the cover sheet 17, 18 described above. For example, the outer sheet 6 constituting the exterior member 2 can be folded back to the skin side at the edge of the waist opening 3 of the exterior member 2, and a part of this folded-back portion can be joined to the inner sheet 5 and/or the absorbent body 7 to form the above-mentioned joined areas 17A, 18A, and the other part can be left unjoined to either the inner sheet 5 or the absorbent body 7 to form the above-mentioned non-joined areas 17B, 18B. Alternatively, the inner sheet 5 constituting the exterior member 2 can be folded back to the skin side and a part of this folded-back portion can be joined to the opposing inner sheet 5 and/or the absorbent body 7 to form the above-mentioned joined areas 17A, 18A, and the other part can be left unjoined to either the opposing inner sheet 5 and the absorbent body 7 to form the above-mentioned non-joined areas 17B, 18B. In the following, we will explain the case where the pockets 19, 20 are formed from the cover sheets 17, 18, but the following explanation also applies when the pockets 19, 20 are formed from the sheet material that constitutes the exterior member 2 as described above.

The opening edges 19E, 20E of the pockets 19, 20 are preferably formed at positions overlapping the absorbent body 7. Therefore, the non-bonded area 17B of the front cover sheet 17 is preferably formed so as to overlap the absorbent body 7, and the non-bonded area 18B of the rear cover sheet 18 is preferably formed so as to overlap the absorbent body 7. By providing the pockets 19, 20 in this manner, it becomes easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 into the pockets 19, 20. It is more preferable that the front pocket 19 is provided so as to extend forward from the position where it overlaps with the absorbent body 7 beyond the front end of the absorbent body 7. It is more preferable that the rear pocket 20 is provided so as to extend backward from the position where it overlaps with the absorbent body 7 beyond the rear end of the absorbent body 7.

The opening edges 19E, 20E of the pockets 19, 20 are preferably formed at positions overlapping the absorbent core 10. By providing the pockets 19, 20 in this manner, the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 can be easily inserted into the pockets 19, 20. In addition, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19, 20, the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are supported by the absorbent core 10, so that the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are less likely to accidentally come out of the pockets 19, 20. It is more preferable that the front pocket 19 is provided so as to extend forward from the position overlapping the absorbent core 10 beyond the front end of the absorbent main body 7. It is more preferable that the rear pocket 20 is provided so as to extend rearward from the position overlapping the absorbent core 10 beyond the rear end of the absorbent main body 7.

The positions of the opening edges 19E, 20E of the pockets 19, 20 are determined by undoing the side seals 13 of the front torso portion P and the rear torso portion Q of the outer cover member 2 and unfolding the disposable diaper 1 to fully unfold it. For example, the disposable diaper 1 is unfolded in this manner, and the elastic members provided in the disposable diaper 1 are cut into small pieces so that the contractile force of the elastic members is not exerted, and then the disposable diaper 1 is fully unfolded to determine each position. Each drawing shows a plan view, a cross-sectional view, etc. of the disposable diaper 1 in a fully unfolded state. In addition, the various other positions and lengths in this specification are also determined in a similar manner unless otherwise specified.

2 and 4 to 6, the pockets 19 and 20 have a plurality of pocket elastic members 21 and 22 arranged in the front-rear direction y along the opening edges 19E and 20E. Specifically, the front pocket 19 has a plurality of pocket elastic members 21 arranged in the front-rear direction y along the opening edge 19E. The rear pocket 20 has a plurality of pocket elastic members 22 arranged in the front-rear direction y along the opening edge 20E. Note that the plurality of pocket elastic members 21 and 22 may be provided only in either the front pocket 19 or the rear pocket 20, or both. Also, the pocket elastic members 21 and 22 may not be provided in one of the front pocket 19 and the rear pocket 20. Preferably, the plurality of pocket elastic members 21 and 22 are provided in both the front pocket 19 and the rear pocket 20. In this specification, "pocket elastic member 21, 22" means pocket elastic member 21 and/or pocket elastic member 22.

When multiple pocket elastic members 21 are provided in the front pocket 19, it is preferable that multiple pocket elastic members 21 including a first elastic member 21A, a second elastic member 21B, and a third elastic member 21C are provided in the front pocket 19 in a line in the front-rear direction y of the front pocket 19. The first elastic member 21A, the second elastic member 21B, and the third elastic member 21C are arranged in this order from the opening edge 19E side of the front pocket 19, and it is preferable that the separation distance (second separation distance) between the second elastic member 21B and the third elastic member 21C is wider than the separation distance (first separation distance) between the first elastic member 21A and the second elastic member 21B.

When multiple pocket elastic members 22 are provided in the rear pocket 20, it is preferable that the multiple pocket elastic members 22 including the first elastic member 22A, the second elastic member 22B, and the third elastic member 22C are arranged in the front-rear direction y of the rear pocket 20. The first elastic member 22A, the second elastic member 22B, and the third elastic member 22C are arranged in this order from the opening edge 20E side of the rear pocket 20, and it is preferable that the separation distance (second separation distance) between the second elastic member 22B and the third elastic member 22C is wider than the separation distance (first separation distance) between the first elastic member 22A and the second elastic member 22B.

When the pockets 19, 20 are provided with a plurality of pocket elastic members 21, 22 as described above, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19, 20, the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are firmly held by the first elastic members 21A, 22A and the second elastic members 21B, 22B near the opening edges 19E, 20E of the pockets 19, 20, and the third elastic members 21C, 22C provided away from the second elastic members 21B, 22B so that the second separation distance is wider than the first separation distance, suppress distortion of the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 in the pockets 19, 20, and the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 can be stably held in the pockets 19, 20. This makes it easier to properly install the inner pad 31 on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper 1.

The pocket elastic member 21 provided in the front pocket 19 has a separation distance (second separation distance) between the second elastic member 21B and the third elastic member 21C that is preferably at least 1.3 times the separation distance (first separation distance) between the first elastic member 21A and the second elastic member 21B, more preferably at least 1.5 times, even more preferably at least 1.8 times, preferably at most 5.0 times, more preferably at most 4.0 times, and even more preferably at most 3.0 times. The pocket elastic member 22 provided in the rear pocket 19 has a separation distance (second separation distance) between the second elastic member 22B and the third elastic member 22C that is preferably 1.3 times or more, more preferably 1.5 times or more, even more preferably 1.8 times or more, and preferably 5.0 times or less, more preferably 4.0 times or less, and even more preferably 3.0 times or less, the separation distance (first separation distance) between the first elastic member 22A and the second elastic member 22B.

It is preferable that the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are fixed to the pockets 19, 20 in a stretched state. It is also preferable that the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are arranged overlapping the absorbent core 10. Specifically, it is preferable that at least one of the pocket elastic members 21 provided in the front pocket 19 is arranged overlapping the absorbent core 10. It is preferable that at least one of the pocket elastic members 22 provided in the rear pocket 20 is arranged overlapping the absorbent core 10. By providing the pocket elastic members 21, 22 in this way, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19, 20, the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are sandwiched between the absorbent core 10 and the pocket elastic members 21, 22, and are easily held stably in the pockets 19, 20. In the front pocket 19, it is preferable that at least the first elastic member 21A and the second elastic member 21B are arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10, and it is even more preferable that the third elastic member 21C is also arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10. In the rear pocket 20, it is preferable that at least the first elastic member 22A and the second elastic member 22B are arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10, and it is even more preferable that the third elastic member 22C is also arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10.

The pocket elastic member 21 provided in the front pocket 19 is preferably provided longer in the width direction x than the opening width W1 of the front pocket 19. The pocket elastic member 22 provided in the rear pocket 20 is preferably provided longer in the width direction x than the opening width W2 of the rear pocket 20. In other words, the pocket elastic members 21, 22 preferably extend outward in the width direction x from both ends of the pockets 19, 20. Here, the opening widths W1, W2 of the pockets 19, 20 refer to the length in the width direction x in the vicinity of the opening edge where the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are provided in the pockets 19, 20, and the vicinity of the opening edge is preferably a portion along the opening edge 19E, 20E of the pockets 19, 20, particularly a portion including the first elastic members 21A, 22A and the second elastic members 22A, 22B. By providing the pocket elastic members 21, 22 in this way, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19, 20, the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are pressed down by the pocket elastic members 21, 22 over the entire width direction x, making it difficult for the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 to slip out of the pockets 19, 20.

The opening width W1 of the front pocket 19 and the opening width W2 of the rear pocket 20 are preferably 70% or more of the width of the absorbent core 10, more preferably 80% or more, even more preferably 90% or more, and even more preferably wider than the width of the absorbent core 10. On the other hand, the upper limit of the opening width W1 of the front pocket 19 and the opening width W2 of the rear pocket 20 is preferably 200% or less of the width of the absorbent core 10, more preferably 180% or less, and even more preferably 150% or less. This makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 into the pockets 19 and 20, and makes it easier to stably hold the inner pad 31 inserted in the pockets 19 and 20. The width of the absorbent core 10 described here means the length in the width direction x of the absorbent core 10 at the position where the vicinity of the opening edge of the pockets 19, 20 overlaps with the absorbent core 10 when the vicinity of the opening edge of the pockets 19, 20 is located at a position where it overlaps with the absorbent core 10 (more specifically, the length in the width direction x of the absorbent core 10 at the position where the vicinity of the opening edge of the pockets 19, 20 overlaps with the absorbent core 10 in the front-rear direction y). When the vicinity of the opening edge of the front pocket 19 is located forward of the front end of the absorbent core 10, it means the length in the width direction x of the front end of the absorbent core 10. When the vicinity of the opening edge of the rear pocket 20 is located rearward of the rear end of the absorbent core 10, it means the length in the width direction x of the rear end of the absorbent core 10.

It is preferable that the pockets 19, 20 have both ends in the width direction x joined to the exterior member 2 near the opening edge where the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are provided. In this case, it is preferable that the ends in the width direction x of the pockets 19, 20 near the opening edge are not joined to the exterior member 2 and/or the absorbent body 7. With both ends in the width direction x joined to the exterior member 2 in this manner, it is preferable that the absorbent core 10 extends outward in the width direction x beyond both ends in the width direction x of the pockets 19, 20 near the opening edge when the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are in a contracted state. In this case, in the expanded state of the pocket elastic members 21, 22, both ends of the vicinity of the opening edge of the pockets 19, 20 are located outward in the width direction x from both ends in the width direction x of the absorbent core 10, whereas in the contracted state of the pocket elastic members 21, 22, both ends of the vicinity of the opening edge of the pockets 19, 20 are contracted in the width direction x, so that both ends of the vicinity of the opening edge of the pockets 19, 20 are located inward in the width direction x from both ends in the width direction x of the absorbent core 10. Therefore, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19, 20, the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are suitably held down by the pocket elastic members 21, 22, so that the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are unlikely to accidentally come out of the pockets 19, 20. The contracted state of the pocket elastic members means, for example, a state in which the disposable diaper in the form of pants as shown in Fig. 1 is placed on a flat surface with no force being applied thereto, and the pocket elastic members are contracted. In addition, since the pocket elastic member is on the skin-facing side, the disposable diaper can be turned inside out and placed on a flat surface to observe the contracted state of the pocket elastic member.

In the above case, in the contracted state of the pocket elastic members 21, 22, the length between both ends in the width direction x of the opening edge vicinity of the pockets 19, 20 is preferably 50% to 95% of the width of the absorbent core 10 that overlaps with the opening edge vicinity of the pockets 21, 22 and extends outward in the width direction x from both ends in the width direction x of the opening edge vicinity. In other words, in the contracted state of the pocket elastic members 21, 22, the length between both ends in the width direction x of the opening edge vicinity of the pockets 19, 20 is preferably 50% to 95% of the length between both ends in the width direction x of the absorbent core 10 at the position in the front-rear direction y of the absorbent core 10 that overlaps with the opening edge vicinity of the pockets 19, 20. The ratio is more preferably 60% or more, even more preferably 65% or more, and preferably 90% or less, and even more preferably 85% or less. This makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 into the pockets 19 and 20, and also makes it less likely that the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 will accidentally come out of the pockets 19 and 20.

Of the pocket elastic members 21, 22, at least the first elastic members 21A, 22A and the second elastic members 21B, 22B are preferably arranged in an area of 1/4 or less of the opening edge 19E, 20E side of the pocket 19, 20 in the front-rear direction y, more preferably in an area of 1/6 or less, and even more preferably in an area of 1/8 or less. The first elastic members 21A, 22A are preferably arranged in an area of 5 mm or less from the opening edge 19E, 20E of the pocket 19, 20, more preferably in an area of 3 mm or less, and even more preferably in an area of 2 mm or less. This allows gathers to be suitably formed along the opening edge 19E, 20E of the pocket 19, 20, and makes it easier for the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 to be firmly held by the first elastic members 21A, 22A and the second elastic members 21B, 22B. The third elastic members 21C, 22C are preferably arranged in an area of 1/2 or less of the opening edge 19E, 20E side of the pockets 19, 20 in the front-rear direction y, more preferably in an area of 1/3 or less, and even more preferably in an area of 1/4 or less.

The pockets 19 and 20 may further be provided with a fourth elastic member as the pocket elastic member 21 and 22. In this case, the fourth elastic member is provided at a position farther from the opening edge 19E and 20E than the third elastic member 21C and 22C. In the front pocket 19, the separation distance (third separation distance) between the third elastic member 21C and the fourth elastic member is not particularly limited, but is preferably wider than the separation distance (first separation distance) between the first elastic member 21A and the second elastic member 21B. In the rear pocket 20, the separation distance (third separation distance) between the third elastic member 22C and the fourth elastic member is not particularly limited, but is preferably wider than the separation distance (first separation distance) between the first elastic member 22A and the second elastic member 22B. This makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 deep into the pockets 19, 20, and the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are less likely to be distorted within the pockets 19, 20, so that the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are stably held within the pockets 19, 20. The pockets 19, 20 may further be provided with a fifth elastic member as the pocket elastic member 21, 22, and in this case, the description of the fifth elastic member is the same as that of the fourth elastic member. It is preferable that no other elastic members are provided between the opening edges 19E, 20E and the first elastic members 21A, 22A in the pockets 19, 20.

The pocket elastic members 21, 22 are preferably arranged, for example, only in an area of 1/2 or less of the opening edge 19E, 20E side of the pocket 19, 20 in the front-rear direction y. In other words, when the pocket 19, 20 is divided into two equal parts in the depth direction (front-rear direction y), the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are arranged in 1/2 of the area of the opening edge 19E, 20E side of the pocket 19, 20, but it is preferable that the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are not arranged in the back half of the area of the pocket 19, 20. This makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 deep into the pocket 19, 20 when inserting them into the pocket 19, 20. More preferably, the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are arranged only in an area of 1/3 or less of the opening edge 19E, 20E side of the pocket 19, 20 in the front-rear direction y.

When the pockets 19, 20 are formed from the cover sheets 17, 18, the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are preferably provided on the cover sheets 17, 18. Specifically, the pocket elastic member 21 of the front pocket 19 is preferably provided on the front cover sheet 17, and is preferably provided along the rear edge 17CE of the front cover sheet 17, overlapping the non-bonded region 17B that forms the front pocket 19. It is more preferable that the pocket elastic member 21 of the front pocket 19 is also provided overlapping the bonded regions 17A located on both sides of the width direction x of the non-bonded region 17B that forms the front pocket 19. The pocket elastic member 22 of the rear pocket 20 is preferably provided on the rear cover sheet 18, and is preferably provided along the front edge 18CE of the rear cover sheet 18, overlapping the non-bonded region 18B that forms the rear pocket 20. It is more preferable that the pocket elastic member 22 of the rear pocket 20 overlaps with the bonded areas 18A located on both sides of the non-bonded area 18B that forms the rear pocket 20 in the width direction x.

The pocket elastic members 21, 22 may be disposed on the skin side of the cover sheets 17, 18, or on the outer side of the cover sheets 17, 18. Alternatively, the cover sheets 17, 18 may be folded back at least once along a crease extending in the width direction x to form a fold along the opening edge 19E, 20E of the pocket 19, 20, and the pocket elastic members 21, 22 may be disposed between the folded back cover sheets 17, 18 at the fold. In this case, it is preferable that the crease of the cover sheets 17, 18 (if folded back along two or more creases, one or more of the creases) becomes the central side edge 17CE, 18CE of the cover sheets 17, 18, forming the opening edge 19E, 20E of the pocket 19, 20. The fold is defined as a portion where the cover sheets 17, 18 are folded back along a crease extending in the width direction x, resulting in multiple layers of the cover sheets 17, 18 being stacked.

In FIG. 4, the cover sheets 17, 18 are folded back once on the outer side at the folds extending in the width direction x (i.e., at the central side edges 17CE, 18CE of the cover sheets 17, 18), and a fold-in portion is formed on the inside of the pockets 19, 20 along the opening edges 19E, 20E of the pockets 19, 20, and the pocket elastic members 21, 22 are disposed between the cover sheets 17, 18 folded back on the outer side at the fold-in portion. By providing the pocket elastic members 21, 22 at the fold-in portion in this manner, the pocket elastic members 21, 22 can be stably installed in the pockets 19, 20. In addition, since the pocket elastic members 21, 22 do not directly contact the wearer's skin, the disposable diaper 1 can be made comfortable to wear, and when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19, 20, the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 can be easily inserted into the pockets 19, 20 without getting caught on the pocket elastic members 21, 22. As shown in FIG. 4, the fold-in portions are preferably formed by folding the cover sheets 17, 18 once toward the outside, which makes the fold-in portions soft against the wearer's skin without being excessively hard, and allows the pocket elastic members 21, 22 to be stably installed in the pockets 19, 20.

When a fold-in portion is formed in the front pocket 19, at least one of the pocket elastic members 21 provided in the front pocket 19 may be provided in the fold-in portion, but it is preferable that all of the elastic members are provided in the fold-in portion. When a fold-in portion is formed in the rear pocket 20, at least one of the pocket elastic members 22 provided in the rear pocket 20 may be provided in the fold-in portion, but it is preferable that all of the elastic members are provided in the fold-in portion.

The folded-in portion is preferably formed so that its length in the front-rear direction y is 10% to 50% of the depth length D1, D2 of the pockets 19, 20. Specifically, the length in the front-rear direction y of the folded-in portion of the front pocket 19 is preferably 10% to 50% of the depth length D1 of the front pocket 19. In addition, the length in the front-rear direction y of the folded-in portion of the rear pocket 20 is preferably 10% to 50% of the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20. This ratio is more preferably 12% or more, more preferably 15% or more, more preferably 40% or less, and even more preferably 30% or less. If the folded-in portion is formed in this way, it becomes easier to provide the pocket elastic members 20, 21 in the folded-in portion in manufacturing, and it is possible to prevent the amount of the cover sheets 17, 18 used to form the folded-in portion from increasing excessively. The depth length D1 of the front pocket 19 refers to the length in the front-to-rear direction y from the opening edge 19E of the front pocket 19 to the joining area 17A at the front end 19H of the front pocket 19, and the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20 refers to the length in the front-to-rear direction y from the opening edge 20E of the rear pocket 20 to the joining area 18A at the rear end 20H of the rear pocket 20.

The opening width W1 of the front pocket 19 and the opening width W2 of the rear pocket 20 may be the same or different. For example, the opening width W2 of the rear pocket 20 may be wider than the opening width W1 of the front pocket 19. As a result, when the inner pad 31 is placed in the crotch portion R of the disposable diaper 1, the position of the front end of the inner pad 31 in the width direction x is accurately determined, and the inner pad 31 is less likely to hit the wearer's legs when the wearer moves their legs back and forth, and the wearer is less likely to feel the inner pad 31 as a nuisance. As a result, the inner pad 31 is stably placed on the skin side of the disposable diaper 1, and the inner pad 31 can suitably receive urine and the like excreted by the wearer, making it less likely that urine and the like will leak sideways. Furthermore, when an irregularly shaped inner pad 31 is used, in which the rear side is wider than the front side, it becomes easier to insert the front and rear ends of the irregularly shaped inner pad 31 into the pockets 19 and 20, and the front and rear ends of the irregularly shaped inner pad 31 can be stably maintained while inserted into the pockets 19 and 20. In this case, the opening width W2 of the rear pocket 20 is preferably 1.1 times or more, more preferably 1.2 times or more, and preferably 2.0 times or less, more preferably 1.8 times or less, and even more preferably 1.6 times or less, of the opening width W1 of the front pocket 19.

The depth length D1 of the front pocket 19 and the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20 are preferably 20 mm or more, more preferably 30 mm or more, and even more preferably 50 mm or more. This makes it easier for the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 to be stably held when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19 and 20. On the other hand, the depth length D1 of the front pocket 19 and the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20 are preferably 150 mm or less, more preferably 120 mm or less, and even more preferably 100 mm or less. This makes it harder for the inner pad 31 to shift significantly in the front-rear direction y when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19 and 20 and the inner pad 31 is placed on the skin side of the disposable diaper 1, and the inner pad 31 is less likely to come out of the pockets 19 and 20.

The depth length D1 of the front pocket 19 and the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20 may be the same or different. For example, when a woman uses the disposable diaper 1 for incontinence, it is preferable that the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20 is longer than the depth length D1 of the front pocket 19, taking into account the position of the urethral opening. In this case, the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20 is preferably 1.1 times or more, more preferably 1.2 times or more, and preferably 2.5 times or less, more preferably 2.0 times or less, and even more preferably 1.6 times or less than the depth length D1 of the front pocket 19. On the other hand, when a man uses the disposable diaper 1 for incontinence, it is preferable that the depth length D1 of the front pocket 19 is longer than the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20, taking into account the position of the urethral opening. In this case, the depth length D1 of the front pocket 19 is preferably 1.1 times or more, more preferably 1.2 times or more, and preferably 2.5 times or less, more preferably 2.0 times or less, and even more preferably 1.6 times or less, the depth length D2 of the rear pocket 20.

The size of the front pocket 19 and the size of the rear pocket 20 may be the same or different. It is also preferable that the absorbent core 10 is provided overlapping the pockets 19 and 20, but the overlapping area between the front pocket 19 and the absorbent core 10 and the overlapping area between the rear pocket 20 and the absorbent core 10 may be the same or different. For example, the absorbent core 10 may overlap the rear pocket 20 over a larger area than the front pocket 19. In this case, when the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are inserted into the pockets 19 and 20, the rear end of the inner pad 31 is sandwiched between the absorbent core 10 and the wearer's skin and is easily held stably in the rear pocket 20. Therefore, even if the wearer turns his or her waist left and right, the rear end of the inner pad 31 is less likely to come out of the rear pocket 20.

From the viewpoint of facilitating the insertion of the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 into the pockets 19 and 20, it is preferable that the thickness of the front and/or rear end of the absorbent core 10 is thinner than the thickness of the central 1/3 of the absorbent core 10 in the front-rear direction y. The thickness of the absorbent core 10 can be measured with a thickness gauge, for example, a thickness gauge SM-130 manufactured by Techlock Co., Ltd. Specifically, the absorbent core 10 is sandwiched between an anvil and a measuring probe to measure the thickness, and the thickness is measured with the thickness gauge SM-130 so that the final pressure is 2.2 N or less. The anvil and measuring probe have a circular contact surface with a diameter of 10 mm and a flat contact surface with the measurement target. The thickness of the front and rear ends of the absorbent core 10 is measured so that the center of the circular anvil and measuring probe with a diameter of 10 mm is located 10 mm away from the front or rear end of the absorbent core 10. The thickness of the central 1/3 of the absorbent core 10 in the front-rear direction y is determined by measuring the thickness at three locations approximately equally spaced apart in the front-rear direction y in the central 1/3 of the absorbent core 10 and calculating the average value. The thickness of the front end and/or rear end of the absorbent core 10 is preferably 90% or less, more preferably 80% or less, and more preferably 20% or more, more preferably 30% or more of the thickness of the central 1/3 of the absorbent core 10 in the front-rear direction y.

The front cover sheet 17 forming the front pocket 19 is provided at least on the front torso P, and may be provided from the front torso P to the crotch R. Thus, the opening edge 19E of the front pocket 19 may be located on the front torso P or on the crotch R. The front cover sheet 17 may be provided on the entire front torso P, or on only a part of the front torso P. The front cover sheet 17 is preferably provided wider than the absorbent body 7 in the width direction x, and is preferably formed to have approximately the same length in the width direction x as the front torso P of the exterior member 2.

The rear cover sheet 18 forming the rear pocket 20 is provided at least on the rear torso Q, and may be provided from the rear torso Q to the crotch R. Thus, the opening edge 20E of the rear pocket 20 may be located on the rear torso Q or on the crotch R. The rear cover sheet 18 may be provided on the entire rear torso Q, or on only a part of the rear torso Q. The rear cover sheet 18 is preferably provided wider than the absorbent body 7 in the width direction x, and more preferably formed to have approximately the same length in the width direction x as the rear torso Q of the exterior member 2.

It is preferable that the front cover sheet 17 is arranged so as to be approximately aligned with the front body part P of the exterior member 2 in the width direction x, and the rear cover sheet 18 is arranged so as to be approximately aligned with the rear body part Q of the exterior member 2 in the width direction x, and the front cover sheet 17 and the rear cover sheet 18 are joined to each other at the side seal part 13. This makes it difficult for the front cover sheet 17 and the rear cover sheet 18 to peel off from the exterior member 2, and the front pocket 19 and the rear pocket 20 are formed stably.

The cover sheets 17, 18 are preferably not joined to the absorbent body 7. Therefore, the joining area 17A of the front cover sheet 17 is preferably formed so as to join the front cover sheet 17 and the absorbent body 2, and the joining area 18A of the rear cover sheet 18 is preferably formed so as to join the rear cover sheet 18 and the absorbent body 2. It is more preferable that the front cover sheet 17 covers the front end of the absorbent body 7 and is not joined to the absorbent body 7, and it is more preferable that the rear cover sheet 18 covers the rear end of the absorbent body 7 and is not joined to the absorbent body 7. This makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 into the pockets 19, 20. In addition, when rising flaps 11 are provided on both sides of the skin-facing side of the absorbent body 7 in the width direction x, the rising flaps 11 tend to rise up favorably.

The cover sheets 17, 18 may have non-bonded regions 17B, 18B formed in the portion including the central side edges 17CE, 18CE (for example, within 5 mm of the central side edges 17CE, 18CE) extending outward in the width direction x from both ends in the width direction x of the vicinity of the opening edge of the pockets 19, 20. In this case, the central side edges 17CE, 18CE of the cover sheets 17, 18 are not bonded to the exterior member 2 and the absorbent body 7 not only at the opening edges 19E, 20E of the pockets 19, 20, but also in the portion outward in the width direction x. If the non-bonded regions 17B, 18B are formed in the central side edges 17CE, 18CE of the cover sheets 17, 18 in this way, it becomes easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 into the pockets 19, 20.

The cover sheets 17, 18 may be hydrophilic (liquid permeable) or hydrophobic (liquid impermeable), and may be made of sheet materials that can be used for the top sheet 8 and the back sheet 9. If the cover sheets 17, 18 are hydrophilic, urine, etc., excreted on the cover sheets 17, 18 can pass through the cover sheets 17, 18, and a wider area of the inner pad 31 can contribute to absorbing urine, etc., which is preferable. In this case, both the front cover sheet 17 and the rear cover sheet 18 may be hydrophilic, or only one of them may be hydrophilic.

The front cover sheet 17 and the rear cover sheet 18 may be, for example, hydrophilic in the front cover sheet 17 and hydrophobic in the rear cover sheet 18. In this case, when the inner pad 31 is placed on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper 1 and worn, a wider area of the front portion of the inner pad 31 can contribute to absorbing urine, etc. On the other hand, since the rear cover sheet 18 is hydrophobic, it is possible to prevent leakage of urine, etc. from the back side when the wearer is in a supine position, and to prevent urine, etc. absorbed by the inner pad 31 from seeping out through the rear cover sheet 18. This improves the wearing comfort of the disposable diaper 1.

It is preferable that the front torso elastic member 15A provided on the front torso P of the exterior member 2 is not arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10. Alternatively, when a part of the front torso elastic member 15A is arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10, it is preferable that the front torso elastic member 15A is arranged intermittently at the part overlapping the absorbent core 10. By providing the front torso elastic member 15A on the front torso P of the exterior member 2 in this way, the front end of the absorbent core 10 is less likely to be distorted by the front torso elastic member 15A, and the front end of the inner pad 31 is easily inserted into the front pocket 19. In addition, the front end of the inner pad 31 is easily held stably in the state inserted in the front pocket 19. Note that "the front torso elastic member 15A is not arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10" means that all of the multiple front torso elastic members 15A are not arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10.

It is preferable that the rear torso elastic member 15B provided on the rear torso Q of the exterior member 2 is not arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10. Alternatively, when a part of the rear torso elastic member 15B is arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10, it is preferable that the rear torso elastic member 15B is arranged intermittently at the part overlapping the absorbent core 10. By providing the rear torso elastic member 15B on the rear torso Q of the exterior member 2 in this way, the rear end of the absorbent core 10 is less likely to be distorted by the rear torso elastic member 15B, and the rear end of the inner pad 31 is easily inserted into the rear pocket 20. In addition, the rear end of the inner pad 31 is easily held stably in the state inserted in the rear pocket 20. Note that "the rear torso elastic member 15B is not arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10" means that all of the multiple rear torso elastic members 15B are not arranged so as to overlap the absorbent core 10.

As shown in FIG. 5, the front end 19H of the front pocket 19, i.e., the rear end of the front pocket 19, is located forward of the front end 7E1 of the absorbent body 7, and it is preferable that at least a part of the front torso elastic member 15A is disposed between the front end 19H of the front pocket 19 and the front end 7E1 of the absorbent body 7. If the front torso elastic member 15A is provided in this manner, when the front end of the inner pad 31 is inserted into the front pocket 19 and worn, the front end of the inner pad 31 is pressed against the wearer's skin by the front torso elastic member 15A, and the front end of the inner pad 31 is easily held stably in the front pocket 19. In addition, it is preferable that the front torso elastic member 15A disposed between the front end 19H of the front pocket 19 and the front end 7E1 of the absorbent body 7 is continuously provided between the front end 19H of the front pocket 19 and the front end 7E1 of the absorbent body 7.

As shown in FIG. 6, the rear end 20H of the rear pocket 20, i.e., the rear end of the rear pocket 20, is located rearward of the rear end 7E2 of the absorbent body 7, and it is preferable that at least a part of the rear torso elastic member 15B is disposed between the rear end 20H of the rear pocket 20 and the rear end 7E2 of the absorbent body 7. If the rear torso elastic member 15B is disposed in this manner, when the rear end of the inner pad 31 is inserted into the rear pocket 20 and worn, the rear end of the inner pad 31 is pressed against the wearer's skin by the rear torso elastic member 15B, and the rear end of the inner pad 31 is easily held stably in the rear pocket 20. In addition, it is preferable that the rear torso elastic member 15B disposed between the rear end 20H of the rear pocket 20 and the rear end 7E2 of the absorbent body 7 is continuously disposed between the rear end 20H of the rear pocket 20 and the rear end 7E2 of the absorbent body 7.

The present invention also provides a combination of an absorbent article having the disposable diaper of the present invention described above and an inner pad arranged on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper. The inner pad is arranged on the top sheet of the disposable diaper of the present invention. According to the combination of the absorbent article of the present invention, the front and rear ends of the inner pad can be inserted into the pocket of the disposable diaper, so that the inner pad can be stably arranged on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper. This will be described with reference to FIG. 8. In FIG. 8, for the sake of convenience, the flaps 11 rising on both sides of the skin-facing side of the absorbent body 7 of the disposable diaper 1 in the width direction x are omitted in order to show the arrangement of the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 in the pocket 20. When the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 are arranged in the pocket 20, the inner pad 31 is arranged between the rising flaps 11 of the absorbent body 7 in the width direction x, so that the inner pad 31 is easily held stably not only in the front and rear direction y but also in the width direction x.

The inner pad 31 preferably has a top sheet, a back sheet, and an absorbent core 32 disposed therebetween. The top sheet of the inner pad 31 is preferably liquid permeable and may be made of a material usable for the top sheet 8 of the disposable diaper 1 described above. The back sheet of the inner pad 31 may be liquid permeable or liquid impermeable and may be made of a material usable for the top sheet 8 or back sheet 9 of the disposable diaper 1 described above. For the absorbent core 32 of the inner pad 31, the description of the absorbent core 10 of the disposable diaper 1 above may be referred to. The inner pad 31 may have rising flaps on both sides of the skin-facing side in the width direction x, and for the rising flaps of the inner pad 31, the description of the rising flaps 11 of the disposable diaper 1 above may be referred to. The shape of the inner pad 31 may be substantially rectangular, hourglass-shaped, shuttlecock-shaped, etc.

The width of the absorbent core 32 of the inner pad 31 is preferably narrower than the opening width W1 of the front pocket 19 and the opening width W2 of the rear pocket 20. This makes it easier to insert the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 into the front pocket 19 and the rear pocket 20. On the other hand, the width of the absorbent core 32 of the inner pad 31 is preferably wider than the width of the absorbent core 10 of the disposable diaper 1. In particular, the width of the front and rear ends of the absorbent core 32 of the inner pad 31 is preferably wider than the width of the front and rear ends of the absorbent core 10 of the disposable diaper 1. This makes it easier to stably install the inner pad 31 on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper 1. For example, the width of the absorbent core 32 of the inner pad 31 is preferably 10% to 30% wider than the width of the absorbent core 10 of the disposable diaper 1.

The length in the front-rear direction y of the absorbent core 32 of the inner pad 31 is preferably longer than the length in the front-rear direction y from the opening edge 19E of the front pocket 19 to the opening edge 20E of the rear pocket 20 of the disposable diaper 1. This allows the inner pad 31 to be stably installed on the skin-facing side of the disposable diaper 1 with the front and rear ends of the inner pad 31 inserted into the front pocket 19 and the rear pocket 20. The length in the front-rear direction y of the absorbent core 32 of the inner pad 31 is preferably 20 mm or more longer, more preferably 40 mm or more longer, and more preferably 200 mm or less longer, and more preferably 160 mm or less longer, than the length in the front-rear direction y from the opening edge 19E of the front pocket 19 to the opening edge 20E of the rear pocket 20 of the disposable diaper 1.

A pocket is provided on the skin side of the front torso portion and/or the skin side of the rear torso portion, the pocket opening toward the center in the front-rear direction of the disposable diaper,

The disposable diaper according to any one of claims 11 to 13 , wherein the cover sheet is hydrophilic. A combination of an absorbent article comprising the disposable diaper according to any one of claims 1 to 14 and an inner pad disposed on the top sheet. The combination of absorbent articles according to claim 15, wherein the width of the absorbent core of the inner pad is wider than the width of the absorbent core of the disposable diaper and narrower than the opening width of the pocket.
