Description

The present invention relates to a building material panel suitable for constructing exterior walls and roofs of building structures.

Construction panels made of metal sheets with insulating material on the back have the advantages of being lightweight, strong, and highly insulating, and are widely used as exterior wall and roofing materials for buildings such as factories, warehouses, residential and apartment buildings, commercial facilities such as stores, and livestock barns.

However, because such building panels have a high insulating efficiency, moisture contained in the wall or roof base material, or moisture inside a room or attic, tends to accumulate inside the insulating components, and there is concern that condensation caused by that moisture could cause the base material and other components to rot.

In order to prevent condensation from causing decay of structural members, attempts have been made to prevent moisture from accumulating by, for example, providing separate ventilation paths inside the walls or under the roof. However, this not only complicates the structure of the building, but also increases the thickness of the walls and roof, resulting in unavoidable problems such as a narrowing of living space and an unnecessarily high building structure height, and improvements were needed.

As a technology for efficiently discharging moisture trapped between the base material and the insulating member, reference can be made to the technology disclosed in, for example, Patent Document 1, which relates to a ventilated insulating material and insulating panel that have insulating, deterioration prevention, and drainage functions, as well as an insulated roof using these. However, the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1 is a structure in which insulating material blocks are combined and roofing material is placed on top of them, which requires a great deal of effort and is not easy to install.

Reference numeral 1 in Figures 1 to 9 denotes a metal skin material that forms the basic framework of a building panel according to the present invention. The skin material 1 is surrounded by a pair of short sides and a pair of long sides that sandwich the pair of short sides from both sides, and has a rectangular outline in a plan view, with its top surface being flat so that flat walls and roofs can be constructed. The direction along the short sides is referred to as the width direction of the skin material 1, and the direction along the long sides is referred to as the longitudinal direction of the skin material 1.

In addition, in Figs. 1 to 9, the reference numeral 2 denotes an upper joint integrally connected to one end of the exterior skin 1 in the width direction, 3 denotes a lower joint integrally connected to the other end of the exterior skin 1 in the width direction, 4 denotes an upper joint integrally provided at one end of the exterior skin 1 in the longitudinal direction (the exterior skin 1 and the upper joint 4 are connected in a flush state, so the boundary between them is shown by a dotted line for convenience), 5 denotes a lower joint integrally provided at the other end of the exterior skin 1 in the longitudinal direction, 6 denotes an insulating member fixed and held by adhesive or the like on the back wall of the exterior skin 1, and 7 denotes a partition recess provided in the insulating member 6 that cooperates with the back wall of the exterior skin 1 to form an air layer along the longitudinal direction of the exterior skin 1. The air layer formed by the partition recess 7 has the function of discharging moisture that has passed through the insulating member 6 from the ridge side of the roof or the eaves side of the wall to the outside of the building structure.

In the example shown, the upper joint 2 is provided on the left side of the skin material 1, which is one end in the width direction, when the planar shape of the skin material 1 shown in Figure 4 is used as a reference, and the lower joint 3 is provided on the right side of the skin material 1, which is the other end in the width direction. However, the upper joint 2 can also be provided on the right side in the width direction of the skin material 1, and the lower joint 3 can also be provided on the left side in the width direction of the skin material 1, and this is not limited. In this invention, an example will be described in which the upper joint 2 is provided on the left side in the width direction of the skin material 1, and the lower joint 3 is provided on the right side in the width direction of the skin material 1.

The upper joint 2 is connected flush with the exterior material 1, and as shown in FIG. 9, is composed of a joint body 2a that covers the lower joint 8a of another building material panel 8 that is adjacently arranged on the left side, a hook-shaped piece 2b that is connected to the tip of the joint body 2a and wraps around the back side of the joint body 2a, and a curling part 2c that is connected to the tip of the hook-shaped piece 2b and can be fitted into the lower joint 8a of another building material panel 8 that is adjacently arranged on the left side by springback of at least one of the joint body 2a and the hook-shaped piece 2b.

When the upper joint 2 is equipped with a curling section 2c, the building material panels can be joined together with a single touch, making construction easy and allowing roofs and walls to be constructed efficiently.

The lower joint 3 is also composed of a groove 3a that allows the curling portion 9b of the upper joint 9a of another building material panel 9 arranged adjacently on the right side to enter, an overhanging portion 3b that protrudes into the groove 3a and fits into the curling portion 9b of another building material panel 9 arranged adjacently on the right side, a land portion 3c that is connected to the overhanging portion 3b and has a top surface that fits along the back side of the upper joint 9a of the building material panel 9 arranged adjacently on the right side, and a recessed portion 3d that is provided adjacent to the land portion 3c and has a drill screw driven into the bottom wall to fix the building material panel to the base material such as the purlin, sheathing board, or pillar.

The recess 3d can be made up of a side wall 3d1 connected to the land portion 3c, a bottom wall 3d2 connected to the lower end of the side wall 3d1, and a vertical wall portion 3d3 connected to the bottom wall 3d2 in an upright position and forming the end face of the lower joint 3. The groove portion 3a of the lower joint 3 can be made up of an inclined side wall connected to the end in the width direction of the outer skin material 1, and an inclined side wall having one end connected to the lower end of the inclined side wall and the other end connected to the lower end of the overhang portion 3b at an inverse gradient to the inclined side wall.

The recess 3d prevents the drill screw from appearing on the outer surface of the building material panel when it is joined to another building material panel 9 located adjacent to the right side, and maintains the aesthetic appearance of the constructed wall or roof. The recess 3d also functions as an internal gutter, and even if rainwater or the like infiltrates through the mating surface between the upper joint 9a and the lower joint 3 of another building material panel 9 located adjacent to the right side due to osmotic pressure, the infiltrating rainwater or the like can be efficiently discharged through the recess 3d.

In addition, the upper joint 2 and the lower joint 3 have extended ends 2', 3' that extend to the upper joint 4 and the lower joint 5, which are provided in the longitudinal direction of the outer skin material 1.

The outer skin material 1, including the upper joint 2, lower joint 3, upper joint 4, and lower joint 5, is made of a zinc-plated steel sheet, an aluminum-zinc alloy-plated sheet, a stainless steel sheet, an aluminum sheet, a copper sheet, or a painted or coated steel sheet, etc., with a thickness of about 0.2 to 1.0 mm, more preferably about 0.5 mm, and is formed by subjecting a single sheet material to forming processing such as roll forming.

The insulating member 6 can be a foamed plastic board-shaped insulating member or a mineral fiber board-shaped insulating member with a thickness of about 75 to 150 mm, more preferably about 100 mm, in order to ensure high insulation and high airtightness while allowing easy passage of moisture. Examples of foamed plastic insulating materials that can be used include bead-method polystyrene foam, extruded polystyrene foam, rigid urethane foam, isocyanurate foam, and phenol foam.

The compartment recesses 7 may have a rectangular cross section, or may have a triangular cross section as shown in FIG. 10, or a semicircular cross section (not shown), or other cross-sectional shapes. Regardless of the cross-sectional shape, moisture can be efficiently discharged to the outside of the building structure. The number of compartment recesses 7 is determined within a range that does not reduce the fixing strength between the exterior skin material 1 and the board-shaped insulation member.

In addition, an opening 7a can be formed at the longitudinal end of the partition recess 7, so that when the building material panels are joined in the longitudinal direction of the exterior material 1, an air layer can be made continuous from the eaves to the ridge, or from the foundation side to the eaves ceiling, allowing moisture that has passed through the insulation material 6 to be efficiently discharged to the outside of the building structure.

To join building material panels according to the present invention together along the width direction of the exterior skin 1, as shown in Figure 9 above, the upper joint 2 is fitted into the lower joint 8a of another building material panel 8 adjacent to the left side, and the lower joint 3 is fitted into the upper joint 9a provided on another building material panel 9 adjacent to the right side. This allows the building material panels to be joined together along the width direction of the exterior skin 1 (the eaves direction of the building structure).

To join building panels according to the present invention along the longitudinal direction of the exterior material 1, as shown in FIG. 11, the upper joint 4 is overlapped and linked on the lower joint 10a of another building panel 10 adjacent to the building structure on the downstream side, and the lower joint 5 at the other longitudinal end is overlapped and linked under the upper joint 11a of another building panel 11 adjacent to the building structure on the abovewater side, thereby connecting the building panels from the foundation side to the eaves side or from the eaves to the ridge. When the upper joint 4 is connected to the lower joint 10a, and when the lower joint 5 is connected to the upper joint 11a, a joint packing and a watertight packing P are placed between them.

Figure 12 is a schematic diagram showing how the roof of a building structure is constructed using building panels according to the present invention. The exterior materials 1 of the building panels are joined in the order of the numbers shown in Figure 12, i.e., a so-called vertical roofing method is used, which gives priority to joining the exterior materials 1 of the building panels in the longitudinal direction. Note that the building panels placed at the eaves of the roof do not have upper joints 4.

When constructing a roof using the building material panel according to the present invention, it is preferable to use a roofing material L with low moisture permeability resistance as the roofing covering the surface of the sheathing board N, and when constructing a wall, it is preferable to use a waterproof sheet L1 (see Figure 16) with low moisture permeability resistance as the waterproof sheet covering the base material S.

Figure 13 is an external perspective view of another embodiment of a building panel according to the present invention, showing the heat insulating member 6. The heat insulating member 6 can be provided with a horizontal recess 12 whose end portion is connected to the adjacent partition recess 7 in a direction intersecting (or perpendicular to) the partition recess 7, and the horizontal recess 12 can increase the efficiency of moisture discharge.

The horizontal recesses 12 are provided within a range that ensures sufficient strength to secure the heat insulating member 6 to the exterior skin material 1, and there are no limitations on their size or number.

The insulating member 6 can be fixed to the outer skin 1 by adhering it to the outer skin 1 with adhesive 13 as shown in FIG. 14. However, as shown in FIG. 15, in order to further increase the fixing strength of the insulating member 6 to the outer skin 1, an anchor 14 can be provided on the back wall surface of the outer skin 1, which can be pierced into the insulating member 6 and cannot be easily pulled out once pierced, thereby enabling the insulating member 6 to be firmly fixed to the outer skin 1. The anchor 14 may also pierce the insulating member 6.

Figure 16 shows a portion of an example wall of an architectural structure constructed using building material panels according to the present invention. Building material panels can be joined together in the same manner as when constructing a roof. When constructing a wall, it is preferable to arrange the upper joint 4 so that it faces the foundation side of the architectural structure and the lower joint 5 so that it faces the eaves side. This ensures high water-stopping properties while efficiently discharging moisture contained in the base material and moisture inside the room and attic to the outside of the architectural structure. Building material panels that do not have upper joint 4 are used for the building material panels that are placed on the foundation side.

The present invention makes it possible to efficiently expel moisture contained in the base material, etc. to the outside of the building while ensuring excellent workability.
