Description
本発明の塗布装置の実施形態の一例を、図面を参照して説明する。一例として図1に示す塗布装置は、基材Pに塗料を塗布する装置であって、塗布ロール1とドクターロール2と受け部材3を備えている。この実施形態では、塗布ロール1とドクターロール2に塗料が付着するように、受け部材3、塗布ロール1及びドクターロール2によって液だまり部4が形成されている。塗布ロール1及びドクターロール2の長手方向両外側には、液だまり部4に溜められた塗料がこぼれるのを防止するこぼれ止め5が設けられている。図2に示すように、塗布ロール1、ドクターロール2及び受け部材3は、基材Pを挟んだ両側に同じ高さで設けられている。
本発明の塗布装置の実施形態の他例を、図面を参照して説明する。この実施形態の塗布装置の基本的な構成は実施形態1と同様である。異なるのは基材Pの移動方式である。前記実施形態では、基材Pを保持具6で保持して上下方向に移動させる場合(基材Pが枚葉の場合)を一例としているが、本発明の塗布装置は、図4に示すようにロールツーロールで移動する基材Pに対して塗料を塗布するものとすることもできる。
前記両実施形態では、塗布ロール1とドクターロール2の直径が同じ場合を一例としているが、塗布ロール1とドクターロール2は直径の異なるものを用いることができる。また、前記実施形態では、塗布ロール1とドクターロール2の長さが同じ場合を一例としているが、塗布ロール1とドクターロール2は長さの異なるものを用いることもできる。
(1)保持具6によって保持された基材Pが所定位置にセットされる(図7(a)、図8(a))。
(2)保持具6で保持された基材Pが所定位置まで降下して、下受け具7で支持される(図7(b)、図8(b))。
(3)基材Pの両面に押さえピン8が当接し、基材Pが保持される(図7(c)、図8(c))。このとき、基材Pが押さえピン8で保持される直前に保持具6による基材Pの挟持が解除される。また、姿勢保持具9が基材Pの両面に接近又は接触し、基材Pの起立姿勢が保持される。
(4)基材Pの両面の塗布ロール1が基材Pに当接し、塗布ロール1の表面に保持された塗料が基材Pに転写される(図7(d)、図8(d))。このとき、保持具6によって再び基材Pの上端部が挟持されて基材Pが引き上げられ、この引き上げられる基材Pに塗布ロール1の表面の塗料が転写される。なお、基材Pに塗布ロール1が接触する直前に押さえピン8による基材Pの保持が解除される。
(1)繰出しロール10と巻取りロール11に保持された基材Pが所定位置にセットされる(図9(a)、図10(a))。
(2)繰出しロール10と巻取りロール11の動作によって繰出しロール10側から巻取りロール11側に移動する基材Pの両面に塗布ロール1が当接し、塗布ロール1の表面に保持された塗料が基材Pに転写される(図9(b)、図10(b))。

Claims (5)
- 上方又は下方に縦向きに移動する基材に塗料を塗布する塗布装置において、
塗布ロールとドクターロールと受け部材を備え、
前記塗布ロールと前記ドクターロールは接触しており、
前記塗布ロールは、外周面にセルのないベタロールであり、
前記ドクターロールは、外周面にセルを有する彫刻ロールであり、
前記受け部材が前記ドクターロールに接触している、
ことを特徴とする塗布装置。 - 請求項1記載の塗布装置において、
塗布ロール、ドクターロール及び受け部材が基材を挟んだ両側に設けられた、
ことを特徴とする塗布装置。 - 請求項1又は請求項2記載の塗布装置において、
塗布ロールとドクターロールの双方又はいずれか一方がゴムロールである、
ことを特徴とする塗布装置。 - 請求項1又は請求項2記載の塗布装置において、
基材を保持して移動させる保持具を備えた、
ことを特徴とする塗布装置。 - 請求項4記載の塗布装置において、
保持具は、基材の幅方向両端側を挟持することによって当該基材を保持する、
ことを特徴とする塗布装置。
