Description

The present invention relates to work hats such as hair nets to be worn when working in clean rooms, food factories, etc.

When working in clean rooms or food factories, workers wear work hats or hoods that cover their heads to prevent sweat, hair, and other foreign objects from falling from their faces. These work hats are cap-shaped and cover the wearer's head, and also cover some or all of the wearer's ears (Patent Document 1).

Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 59-172735 (Fig. 2)

In the case of the technology described in the above-mentioned Patent Document 1, as shown in FIG. 8, a straight belt-like tightening strap 1020 sewn to the periphery of the hat 1000 holds the head and ears 102 of the wearer 100, so that the tightening strap 1020 can slip up along the ears 102 during work movements, causing the hat to be removed or exposing the ears 102 or hair.
This is because the surface of the ear 102 is relatively smooth, making the belt 1020 slippery, and because the ear 102 protrudes from the head, the ear 102 comes into point contact with the belt 1020 and is therefore prone to slipping.

In other words, the present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and aims to provide a work hat that securely covers the wearer's head and ears and prevents the hat from slipping up from the areas covering the ears.

The work hat of the present invention is a work hat that covers the head and ears of a wearer, and comprises: a main body portion that covers the head and ears of the wearer; a band-shaped elastic front border cloth attached to the lower peripheral edge of the main body portion, with its front and back surfaces exposed and holding the wearer's forehead; and a band-shaped elastic rear border cloth attached to the lower peripheral edge of the main body portion, with its front and back surfaces exposed and holding the area passing below both ears of the wearer to the neck, wherein the rear border cloth is formed by folding a rear border cloth material at least in two, and has a bent portion where an upper long side is bent so as to be concave near the lower side of the ears so as to fit below the ears of the wearer, and the bent portion is formed by a seam that joins the rear border cloth at a position below the ears so that the upper long side is shorter than the lower long side .

With this work hat, the upper long side 4 of the rear edging fabric has a concave bent section, so that the bent section fits around the underside of the ear from the outside, and even if the work hat tries to slip up along the ear during work movements, the bent section catches the underside of the ear and prevents it from slipping up.

Furthermore, with this work cap, the bent portions can be formed from the fabric without waste and with high productivity.

In the work hat of the present invention, a bulging portion that bulges in a thickness direction of the rear border cloth may be formed on the inside of the bent portion.
When the cap is put on, the rear edge of the cap is pulled downward so that the bent portion is under the ear, and the restoring force of the fabric causes the rear edge of the cap to move upward. At this time, the bulge in the thickness direction on the inside of the bent portion catches on the jaw line (indentation) under the ear, further preventing the rear edge of the cap from slipping up.

In the work hat of the present invention, an angle formed by the lower long side of the rear edging cloth at the bent portion may be 135 to 170 degrees.
It is more preferable that this angle be 135 to 170 degrees, since this makes it easier for the upper long side 4 of the bent portion to be caught under the ear. Note that the angle is the angle when the rear edging fabric is in a no-load state when the hat is not being worn.

The present invention provides a work hat that securely covers the wearer's head and ears and prevents the hat from slipping up past the ear covering areas.

Hereinafter, a work hat according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.
FIG. 1 is a side view showing a state in which a work hat according to an embodiment of the present invention is worn, FIG. 2 is a front view of the work hat, and FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a method of forming darts in a rear edging fabric.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the work hat 10 is formed in a cap shape to cover the head and ears 102 of a wearer 100, leaving the face and a portion below the neck 104 of the wearer 100 exposed.
The work hat 10 has a generally dome-shaped main body 8 that covers the head and ears 102 of a wearer 100, and strip-shaped stretchable front and rear edging cloths 2 and 4 that are respectively attached to the lower peripheral edge 8d of the main body 8.
The work hat 10 is formed by sewing a front edging fabric 2 and a back edging fabric 4 to a main body 8 made of woven or knitted fabric. The main body 8 is also formed by sewing a plurality of pieces of fabric together.
Furthermore, in this embodiment, a bulge 8p is integrally formed on the rear side of the head of the main body 8, so that long hair, such as that of a female wearer, can be accommodated within the bulge 8p.
However, the bulging portion 8p may be omitted, and the outer surface of the main body portion 8 on the rear side of the head may be flat as shown by the dashed line in FIG.

The lower peripheral edge 8d of the main body 8 extends approximately horizontally from the forehead of the wearer 100 to just before the ear 102, then hangs down along the ear 102 and slopes slightly downward toward the rear below the ear 102 before reaching the neck (nape) 104.
The front edging cloth 2 extends from the forehead of the wearer 100 to just in front of the ears 102, with both longitudinal ends 2e thereof facing just in front of the ears 102. The front edging cloth 2 is stretchable and holds the forehead of the wearer 100.
The rear edging cloth 4 is connected to both longitudinal ends 2 e of the front edging cloth 2 and holds the area extending below both ears 102 of the wearer 100 to the neck 104 .
In this embodiment, both longitudinal ends 4e of the rear edging cloth 4 overlap both longitudinal ends 2e of the front edging cloth 2, respectively.
When the rear edging cloth 4 is "connected" to both longitudinal ends 2e of the front edging cloth 2, this means that the two cloths 2, 4 are overlapped as described above, or that the ends of the two cloths 2, 4 are butted together and joined by sewing or the like.

Next, the characteristic features of the present invention will be described.
As shown in FIG. 1, the rear edging cloth 4 has a bent portion 4v in which the upper long side 4L1 is bent downwardly in the vicinity of the lower side of the ear 102 of the wearer 100.
Specifically, in this example, the bent portion 4v is formed by a seam (dart) 4d that is joined at a position below the selvedge 102 of the back edging fabric 4 so that the upper long side 4L1 is shorter than the lower long side 4L2.

In this way, the upper long side 4L1 of the rear edging cloth 4 has a bent portion 4v that is bent so as to be concave, so that the bent portion 4v fits to surround the underside of the ear 102 from the outside, and even if the work hat 10 tries to slip up along the ear 102 during work movements, the bent portion 4v catches on the underside of the ear 102, preventing the work hat 10 from slipping up.
In contrast to this, without the bent portion 4v, as shown in FIG. 8, the rear edging cloth 4 will slide upward along the relatively slippery surface of the selvedge 102, making it difficult to prevent the rear edging cloth 4 from slipping upward.

Next, an example of a method for forming the dart 4d will be described with reference to FIG.
First, as shown in FIG. 3(a) , the rear edging cloth material 4x is folded in half along the longitudinal direction so that the folded side is the lower long side 4L2. After that, it is folded in half along a fold line 4f parallel to the width direction, and then sewn along a seam line 4m1 diagonally (upward and to the right in FIG. 3(a) ) from the upper long side 4L1 behind the fold line 4f to the intersection of the lower long side 4L2 and the fold line 4f.
Next, as shown in FIG. 3(b), the back edging cloth material 4x is opened across the seam line 4m1, and then, as shown in FIG. 3(c), the triangular area enclosed by the seam line 4m1 and the fold line 4f is folded backward.
Then, as shown in FIG. 3(d), the dart 4d is completed by sewing along a sewing line 4m2 along the inside of the folding line 4f.

The triangular area enclosed by the seam line 4m1 and the fold line 4f is sewn together at the seam line 4m2, so that it becomes flush with the rear edging fabric 4 in front of the dart 4d. Therefore, the thickness of the rear edging fabric 4 at the dart 4d is two pieces at the front portion 4s of the rear edging fabric 4 and four pieces at the back portion 4p, and the above-mentioned back portion (bulge) 4p is formed by swelling on the inside (wearer side) of the dart 4d.

Forming the bulging portion 4p on the inside of the dart 4d in this manner has the following effect: That is, as shown in Fig. 1, when the work hat 10 is put on while pulling the rear edging cloth 4 downward as shown by the thick arrow so that the bent portion 4v is below the ear 102, the rear edging cloth 4 moves upward due to the restoring force of the cloth. At this time, the bulging portion 4p on the inside of the dart 4d gets caught on the jaw line (depression) below the ear 103, and the rear edging cloth 4 is further prevented from slipping up.
3(d), it is more preferable that the angle θ formed by the lower long side 4L2 of the back edging cloth 4 at the bent portion 4v is 135 to 170 degrees, since this makes it easier for the upper long side 4L1 of the bent portion 4v to be caught under the ear 102. Note that the angle θ is the angle when the back edging cloth 4 is in an unloaded state without the hat 10 being worn.

The method of forming the darts is not limited to that shown in FIG. 3, but may be, for example, as shown in FIG.
First, as shown in FIG. 4(a), the rear edging cloth material 4x is folded in half along a fold line 4f parallel to the width direction, and then sewn together at seam lines 4m3, 4m3, respectively, from the upper and lower edges (upper long edges) 4L1 behind the fold line 4f toward the intersection of a line (lower long edge) 4L2 extending in the longitudinal direction at the center in the width direction and the fold line 4f.
Next, as shown in FIG. 4(b), the back edging cloth material 4x is opened across the seam line 4m3, and then folded along the line 4L2 (which will become the lower long side) as shown in FIG. 4(c).
Then, as shown in FIG. 4(e), the triangular portion between the fold line 4f and the seam line 4m3 is folded inward, and the whole is sewn together near the seam line 4m3 that appears on the front side, completing the dart 4d.

Here, as shown in Figure 4(d) , the thickness of the rear edging fabric 4 at the dart 4d is three layers (one top layer + one below that + one below that) at the front portion 4t2 of the rear edging fabric 4, and three layers (one bottom layer + one above that + one above that) at the back portion 4t1, and the bulge of the back portion (bulging portion) 4t1 on the inside (wearer side) of the dart 4d is smaller than that of the dart in Figure 3 .
Therefore, the dart shown in FIG. 3, in which the bulge of the bulging portion 4p is large, is more preferable.

It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, but covers various modifications and equivalents within the spirit and scope of the present invention.
In the present invention, "attaching" and "joining" can be performed by sewing, bonding with an adhesive such as a hot melt adhesive, welding, etc. There is no limitation on the joining method for forming darts. The hat and the edging fabric can be entirely or partially made by whole garment or molding, etc.

The shape of the bent portion is not limited. For example, in addition to the V-shape formed by one dart as shown in Figs. 1 and 3, two or more darts 40d1, 40d2 may be provided spaced apart in the longitudinal direction as shown in Fig. 5, and the upper long side 40L1 side may be recessed as two bent portions 40v1, 40v2.

5, when the front dart 40d1 is aligned with the ear 102 as shown in FIG 6, the bent portions 40v1, 40v2 are in two stages, so that the rear portion 40B of the rear edging cloth 40, which has the rear dart 40d2 at both ends, faces almost horizontally at the nape of the neck. This provides an effect that the rear portion 40B holds the nape of the neck firmly and prevents the hat 10B from shaking.
As shown in FIG. 7, although some fabric will be wasted, fabric may be cut in advance so that the recess at the bent portion on the upper long side 4L1 side is a curved portion 4r, and the recess on the upper long side 4L1 side may be curved.
Furthermore, the method of forming the seams (darts) is not limited, and the seams that form the depressions are not limited to darts, and may be any seam that joins two pieces of fabric.
As a work hat, it can be used as a cap or a hair net.

Claims (3)

A work hat that covers the wearer's head and ears,
A main body portion that covers the head and ears of the wearer;
A band-shaped elastic front border cloth attached to the lower periphery of the main body, the front and back surfaces of which are exposed and hold the wearer's forehead;
a band-shaped elastic rear border cloth attached to the lower periphery of the main body, connected to both longitudinal ends of the front border cloth, with its front and back surfaces exposed , and holding a portion passing below both ears of the wearer to the neck,
the rear edge cloth is formed by folding a rear edge cloth material at least twice, and has a bent portion in which an upper long side is bent so as to be concave in the vicinity of the lower side of the wearer's ear so as to fit the lower side of the ear,
The bent portion is formed by a seam at a position below the ear of the rear edging cloth such that the upper long side is shorter than the lower long side . 2.
