Description
二次電池の電極と負荷及び充電器の端子との間の充電経路に直列に挿入される充電制御トランジスタにより前記充電経路を遮断することで前記二次電池を過充電から保護し、前記電極と前記端子との間の放電経路に直列に挿入される放電制御トランジスタにより前記放電経路を遮断することで前記二次電池を過放電から保護する二次電池保護回路であって、
前記二次電池の過充電を検出する過充電検出回路と、
前記二次電池の過放電を検出する過放電検出回路と、
前記電極と前記端子との間の電位差に応じて、電位差検出信号を出力する電位差検出回路と、
前記過充電が前記過充電検出回路により検出されている場合、又は、前記過放電が前記過放電検出回路により検出されている場合、前記電位差検出信号を前記充電制御トランジスタ又は前記放電制御トランジスタの制御端子にフィードバックして、前記電位差を制御する電位差制御回路と、を備える、二次電池保護回路が提供される。
図1は、第1実施形態に係る電池システムの一構成例を示す図である。図1は、第1実施形態に係る電池システム301に、負荷90及び充電器91を接続した構成例を示す。図1に示す電池システム301は、並列に接続された複数(この例では、2つ)の電池パック100,200を備える。電池パック200は、電池パック100と同一の構成であるので、電池パック200の構成の説明については、電池パック100の説明を援用することで、省略する。
図17は、第2実施形態に係る電池保護回路10Bの構成例をより詳細に示す図である。第2実施形態に係る電池保護回路10Bは、電流経路9aに直列に挿入された充電制御トランジスタ1及び放電制御トランジスタ2によって二次電池70を保護する点で、第1実施形態に係る電池保護回路10Aと異なる。第2実施形態において、第1実施形態と同様の構成及び効果についての説明は、上述の説明を援用することで省略する。

Claims (6)
- 第1二次電池と、
前記第1二次電池の電極と負荷及び充電器の端子との間の第1充電経路と、
前記第1充電経路の電位を制御する第1二次電池保護回路と、
第2二次電池と、
前記第2二次電池の電極と負荷及び充電器の端子との間の第2充電経路と、
前記第2充電経路の電位を制御する第2二次電池保護回路と、を有し、
前記第1充電経路と前記第2充電経路を接続するように、前記第1二次電池と前記第2二次電池が並列に接続され、
前記第1二次電池保護回路が過充電、または、過放電を検出したときに、前記第1二次電池保護回路は、前記第1充電経路において前記端子の電位と前記電極の電位が一定差になるように第1制御を行う、電池パック。 - 前記第1充電経路に挿入された第1充電制御トランジスタと、
前記第2充電経路に挿入された第2充電制御トランジスタと、を更に有し、
前記第1二次電池保護回路は、前記第1充電経路の前記端子、または、前記第1充電経路の前記電極から、一定値低い電圧を前記第1充電制御トランジスタの制御端子に入力する、請求項1に記載の電池パック。 - 前記第1制御時に前記第2二次電池保護回路が過充電を検出しており、
前記第1二次電池保護回路、及び、前記第2二次電池保護回路が過充電から復帰した場合に、前記第1制御を解除する、請求項1に記載の電池パック。 - 前記第1制御時に前記第1二次電池保護回路が過充電を検出している、請求項3に記載
の電池パック。 - 前記第1制御時に前記第2二次電池保護回路が過放電を検出しており、
前記第1二次電池保護回路、及び、前記第2二次電池保護回路が過放電から復帰した場合に、前記第1制御を解除する、請求項1に記載の電池パック。 - 前記第1制御時に前記第1二次電池保護回路が過放電を検出している、請求項5に記載
の電池パック。
