Description

The POS terminal 2 is a POS register that, for example, receives orders from customers who visit the store and processes payments for items that have been left for cleaning (checked items), and is equipped with a control unit 6, a memory unit 7 that stores information, a touch panel unit 8 that is an input unit and display unit that can be operated by touch by store staff (the input unit and the display unit may be configured separately; this also applies below), a printing unit (printer unit) 9 that prints (issues) and outputs various paper slips, etc., and a reading unit 10 that reads information. Therefore, there is no need to have a plastic or paper card-type membership card (member card) or a paper receipt (a customer statement made of a piece of paper).

The server 4 is, for example, a computer (cloud server) that controls the entire cleaning system 1, and although not shown, like a general computer, it is equipped with a control unit, a memory unit, an input unit, a display unit, etc.

As shown in FIG. 2, when an order is received from a visiting customer to leave their cleaning items (when the cleaning items related to the order are registered), the control unit 6 of the POS terminal 2 controls the printing unit 9 to print a customer detailed slip (hereinafter sometimes referred to as a "customer slip") 21 if the customer is a general member, and controls the printing unit 9 not to print the customer slip 21 if the customer is an app member.

However, for app members who present their digital membership cards, the customer statement slip 21 is not printed, but instead, detailed information (information on the customer statement slip) regarding the laundry items deposited by the app member is sent from the server 3 to the customer terminal 3 of the app member. Note that the detailed information may also be sent from the POS terminal 2 to the customer terminal 3.

The customer slip (deposit slip) 21 is given to the customer (general members only) as a receipt for the dry cleaning items (a voucher for the finished items) and contains at least detailed information regarding the dry cleaning items deposited by the customer.

Specifically, the customer slip 21 includes, for example, the customer name, telephone number, slip number, completion date, store name, etc., as well as detailed information about the cleaning items (order item detailed information display) 23, accounting information about the cleaning items (accounting information display) 24, and a barcode (code information display) 25, which is code information for order identification (slip identification) (see Figure 9).

Details information 23 regarding the cleaning items (ordered items) includes at least the names of the cleaning items ordered (if multiple items are ordered, all of them are listed in itemized form). Accounting information 24, which is payment information, includes at least the total amount.

On the other hand, the store slip (in-factory work slip) 22 is sent together with the laundry entrusted by the customer to the cleaning factory where the laundry is washed and used by workers at the factory during assembly work. The store slip 22 is returned to the cleaning store together with the laundry after washing (finished item), and like the customer slip 21, contains at least detailed information regarding the laundry entrusted by the customer.

Specifically, the store slip 22 includes, in addition to the customer's name, telephone number, slip number, etc., detailed information about the cleaning items (order item detailed information display) 23 and a barcode (code information display) 25, which is code information for order identification (slip identification) (see Figures 7 and 10).

In the illustrated example, the detailed information 23 printed on the slips 21 and 22 includes, in addition to the product name, the tag number, the amount, and the number of items, but is not limited to this and may consist of only the minimum necessary information, for example, not including the amount.

Next, we will first explain the process of accepting an order when the visiting customer is an app member, following the flowchart in Figure 3.

The dry cleaning store clerk uses the reading unit 10 of the POS terminal 2 to read the barcode on the digital membership card (digital membership card) displayed on the customer terminal (smartphone) 3 of the app member who comes to the store with the dry cleaning items (step 1). The barcode is displayed for a preset period of time.

The digital membership card may be, for example, as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4 shows an example of a membership card screen displayed on the touch panel unit 18 of the customer terminal 3 of an app member.

In addition, since the barcode 31 on the digital membership card and the barcode 32 on the membership card have different barcode systems (types), the control unit 6 can determine that printing is not necessary when the barcode on the digital membership card is scanned by the reading unit 10, which is a barcode reader. In other words, the control unit 6 determines that the person is an app member by reading the barcode on the digital membership card, and determines that printing a customer slip is not necessary. Customer information (member information) of an app member is, for example, as shown in FIG. 6. FIG. 6 is an example of a customer call screen displayed on the touch panel unit 8 of the POS terminal 2.

The screen includes customer information including, for example, the customer's name, phone number, card number (member number), expiration date, registered store, etc., as well as store visit history information, CS information, etc. In addition, on the customer call screen, next to the customer's name ("Mr. Light Taro"), an app member indication (the app name "Cripon") is displayed indicating that the customer is an app member.

When this process is complete, the printing unit 9 prints and outputs a store slip 22 as shown in FIG. 7 under the control of the control unit 6 (step 4).

At this time, the printing unit 9 of the POS terminal 2, based on the control unit 6's decision that printing of customer slips is not necessary, prints only store slips and does not print customer slips that contain detailed information and personal information (such as name and telephone number).

It is also possible to print an accounting slip (a receipt that is a household ledger slip that does not include detailed information) showing the accounting information so that app members can also know the accounting information (total amount) of their laundry items on paper. In other words, when a customer is an app member, the control unit 6 of the POS terminal 2 may control the printing unit 9 to print a store slip that includes detailed information and an accounting slip (a receipt showing accounting information) that does not include detailed information, without printing a customer slip that includes detailed information.

Next, the server 4 transmits customer slip information (customer detailed slip information), which includes detailed information that serves as a substitute for a paper receipt, to the app member's customer terminal 3 via the cloud (step 5).

Therefore, when app members collect their finished goods, they do not need a paper customer slip; they simply present the digital receipt, which includes detailed information showing the name of the finished goods, to the store clerk, and the clerk scans the barcode on the digital receipt to process the delivery.

The digital receipt is, for example, as shown in Figure 5. Figure 5 is an example of a receipt screen displayed on the touch panel unit 18 of the customer terminal 3 of an app member. This screen serves as a substitute for a customer slip (deposit slip) and, in addition to the slip number, order date, quantity, etc., like a customer slip, includes detailed information about the cleaning items (order item detailed information display) 23 and a barcode (code information display) 25, which is code information for order identification (slip identification).

Next, we will explain the process of accepting an order when the customer is a general member, following the flowchart in Figure 8.

A dry cleaning store clerk uses the reading unit 10 of the POS terminal 2 to read the barcode 32 on the membership card (physical membership certificate) held by a general member who comes to the store with a dry cleaning item (step 1).

In addition, instead of reading the barcode 32 on the membership card, the store clerk may manually input the last four digits of the general member's phone number. In addition, the general member referred to here includes customers who previously installed the membership app ("Cripon") and became an app member, but later uninstalled the membership app from their smartphone.

When the barcode 32 on the membership card is read by the store clerk using the reading unit 10 (or the last four digits of the phone number are entered), the customer information of the general member corresponding to the barcode 32 is read from the memory unit 7 and displayed under the control of the control unit 6 (step 2). Note that the customer call screen including the customer information of the general member is the same as the screen shown in FIG. 6, but the app member display is not displayed.

Next, the store clerk touches the touch panel 8 of the POS terminal 2 to accept and process the cleaning items entrusted to the general member (step 3).

When this process is complete, under the control of the control unit 6, a customer slip 21 as shown in FIG. 9 and a store slip 22 as shown in FIG. 10 are printed and output by the printing unit 9 (step 4).

In other words, the printing unit 9 of the POS terminal 2 prints both a customer slip 21 and a store slip 22. The store clerk gives the customer slip (customer detail slip) 21 to the general member as a receipt. When the general member picks up the finished product, he or she simply presents the customer slip 21 to the store clerk.

And according to the above-mentioned cleaning system 1, the control unit 6 of the POS terminal 2 controls the printing unit 9 to print a customer slip 21 and a store slip 22 if the customer is a general member, but if the customer is an app member, the control unit 6 controls the printing unit 9 to not print the customer slip 21, but to print only the store slip 22 (or a household ledger slip and a store slip). This means that unnecessary customer slips (e.g. pieces of paper containing personal information) 21 do not get in the way for app members, and they do not require time to dispose of them, which improves customer satisfaction and also prevents paper waste.
