Description

The present invention relates to a sample book of flooring materials.

When selecting a flooring material, a sample book of flooring materials is used, which has small pieces of the flooring material attached to a mount.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a sample book in which multiple mounts 4 are attached to a spine portion 50 by inserting a binding rod 2 through a through hole 11 in a side panel 16 fixed to the spine portion 50 and through binding holes 40 in the mounts 4 (reference symbols are quoted from Patent Document 1).
Patent document 2 also discloses a sample book in which a strip of hot-melt adhesive is provided near the edge 20 of the binding side of the backing paper 2, and the surface of this hot-melt adhesive is pressed down with a smoothing roller to smooth it before it hardens, and used as a spacer 3 (the symbols are taken from Patent document 2).

登録実用新案第3074347号公報Registered Utility Model No. 3074347 特開2000-343856号公報JP 2000-343856 A

However, in the sample book of Patent Document 1, the diameter of the binding holes in the mount is larger than the diameter of the binding pin, and the mount wobbles in the surface direction relative to the binding pin, so that as the mount is used, the binding holes in the mount expand, causing the mount to wobble even more, which in turn can cause the edge of the mount to bend or wear away. Furthermore, in conventional sample books, the edges of the front and back covers extend outward beyond the edge of the mount in consideration of the wobbles of the mount, but the edges of the front and back covers can bend or wear away due to their own weight when stored upright. The appearance of the sample book can be deteriorated if the edges are bent in this way.
In addition, the sample book of Patent Document 2 has spacers in the bound area, but since the spacers are made of a hot melt adhesive, there is a risk that the spacers will be compressed when the bound area is pressed in the thickness direction. Furthermore, since the spacers are formed by smoothing the surface of the hot melt adhesive by pressing it down with a smoothing roller before it hardens, there is a risk that the spacers will peel off if not heated sufficiently, and the manufacturing process is complicated, which is one of the factors that increases costs.

The object of the present invention is to provide a sample book of flooring materials that are durable, easy to manufacture, and have a good appearance.

In a preferred flooring sample book of the present invention, the booklet body has a backing sheet to which no flooring sample is attached, and the binding area of the backing sheet to which the flooring sample is not attached is in contact with the binding area of an adjacent backing sheet without the interposition of a board member.

In the sample book of the present invention, the binding areas of the mounts, front cover, and back cover are firmly attached to the fastening rod and the plate members are integrated, so that the mounts and the like do not move in the surface direction and are highly durable. Furthermore, since the mounts and the like are integrated by the fastening rod, the sample book can be easily manufactured. Furthermore, since a plate member of approximately the same thickness as the flooring material sample is arranged in the binding area of the mount, the thickness of the booklet body is unlikely to be uneven, and a sample book with a good appearance and excellent usability can be provided. Furthermore, since the attachment pieces of the blind part formed by folding a single sheet material are fixed to the front and back surfaces of the booklet body, they are unlikely to come off, and the blind part can prevent damage to the binding area.

The present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
It should be noted that the terms "backing paper", "front cover" and "back cover" used in the description of the present invention are not intended to be limited to the material in which they are made, namely, paper.
In this specification, a plan view refers to a view perpendicular to the surface of the front or back cover of the sample book, and a top view and a bottom view refer to views perpendicular to the top and bottom edges of the sample book, respectively. The top edge refers to the upper edge, the bottom edge refers to the lower edge, and the front edge refers to the edge on the open side of the backing paper.

[First embodiment]
Fig. 1 is a view of the flooring sample book 1 of the first embodiment from the front cover 31 side, Fig. 2 is a view from the back cover 32 side, Fig. 3 is a view from the top edge side, Fig. 4 is a view from the bottom edge side, and Fig. 5 is a view from the spine 33 side. Fig. 6 is a vertical cross-sectional view of the binding area X of the sample book 1 cut along the vertical direction and enlarged, and Fig. 7 is a horizontal cross-sectional view of the binding area X where the fastening rod 7 is provided and enlarged. In Figs. 6 and 7, the middle part, which has the same configuration, is omitted. Fig. 8 shows the sample book 1 in an open state. In Figs. 6 and 7, the fastening rod 7 is not shown in cross section.

Referring to Figures 1 to 8, the sample book 1 has a booklet body 2, a front cover 31, and a back cover 32, and the binding area X of the booklet body 2 is integrated with the binding areas X of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 to form three fore edges, namely the top fore edge, the bottom fore edge, and the front fore edge. Preferably, the sample book 1 further has a spine 33 between the front cover 31 and the back cover 32.

The front cover 31 covers the front surface of the booklet body 2 , the back cover 32 covers the back surface of the booklet body 2 , and the spine cover 33 covers the back surface of the booklet body 2 .
The front cover 31, the spine cover 33, and the back cover 32 are formed by folding a single sheet material. Alternatively, the front cover 31, the spine cover 33, and the back cover 32 may be formed by joining together a plurality of sheets forming each cover with an adhesive or an adhesive tape (not shown).

The three fore edges of the booklet body 2 are aligned in a plan view. In this embodiment, the three fore edges of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 are also aligned in a plan view. In other words, the set of top fore edges, the set of bottom fore edges, and the set of front fore edges of the front cover 31, the booklet body 2, and the back cover 32 each form a plane. Therefore, when the sample book 1 is viewed from the front cover 31 side and the back cover 32 side, the top fore edges, the bottom fore edges, and the front fore edges of the front cover 31, the booklet body 2, and the back cover 32 are aligned and overlap each other, so that each of these fore edges appears to be substantially a single straight line.
By aligning the three fore edges of the booklet body 2 with the three fore edges of the front cover 31 and back cover 32 in this way, the sample book 1 can be smoothly inserted and removed from a bookshelf, resulting in excellent handling and a good appearance of the sample book 1. Furthermore, because the fore edges are aligned, even if the sample book 1 is stored leaning against a bookshelf or the like, the load can be distributed across the front cover 31, back cover 32, and booklet body 2, resulting in excellent durability. Furthermore, compared to a case in which the fore edges of the front cover 31 and back cover 32 are larger than the fore edge of the booklet body 2, the front cover 31 and/or back cover 32 will not bend or the fore edges will not wear out, preventing deterioration of the appearance over time.

If the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 are roughly divided into areas corresponding to the mount 4 , the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 have a display area Y that overlaps the display area of the mount 4 and a binding area X that overlaps the binding area of the mount 4 .
In order to make it easier to open the display area Y of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32, it is preferable that a fold line 35 is formed at or near the boundary between the display area Y and the binding area X of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32. Examples of the fold line 35 include a pressed line as shown in the figure, and other lines such as half-cut lines, perforation lines, and weakened lines (not shown).
By locating the fold lines 35 of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 and the fold lines 45 of the mount 4 (described later) at positions that overlap in the thickness direction, it becomes possible to hold the binding area X of the sample book 1 with one hand and turn over the front cover 31 and the mount 4 with the other hand to check the contents, improving the handleability of the sample book 1. In this case, by locating the plate member 6 in the binding area X, the binding area X in particular becomes easier to grip.

The booklet body 2 is made of a laminate of a plurality of backing sheets 4. The plurality of backing sheets 4 includes a backing sheet 4 on which a flooring material sample 5 is attached.
Here, the flooring material sample 5 is a small cut specimen of the commercial flooring material.
A flooring material cut to a desired size can be used as the flooring material sample 5. Types of flooring materials include resin flooring materials that do not have fibers such as pile or cloth on the surface, flooring materials with pile on the surface, and flooring materials with woven or nonwoven fabric on the surface.
Examples of the resin flooring material that does not have fibers on the surface include composition vinyl floor tiles, multi-layer vinyl floor tiles, floor sheets, etc. Examples of flooring materials with pile on the surface include tile carpets, rugs, etc. Since the thickness of the sample is unlikely to decrease over time, it is preferable to use resin flooring materials that do not have fibers on the surface as samples in the sample book 1 of the present invention.
Specific examples of products currently on the market include composition vinyl floor tiles such as "Machiko V,""Codera," and "Linotesta," manufactured by Toli Corporation; multi-layer vinyl floor tiles such as "Royal Wood" and "Royal Stone," manufactured by Toli Corporation; and floor sheets such as "Mature,""HitoeFine,""NSSheet," and "Basna Series," manufactured by Toli Corporation.
The thickness of the flooring sample 5 is not particularly limited, and is usually 1 mm or more and 10 mm or less.

The three edges of the multiple mounts 4 overlapping in the thickness direction are aligned in a plan view. In other words, the collection of top edges, bottom edges, and front edges of each mount 4 forming the booklet body 2 each form a plane. Therefore, when the booklet body 2 is viewed from the front cover 31 side and the back cover 32 side, the top edges, bottom edges, and front edges of each mount 4 overlap, and these edges appear to be substantially a single straight line. Note that the front edge of the mount 4 may be partially formed with a notch and/or an index tab (neither of which is shown) for finger hooking in order to make it easier to turn over each mount 4. Even when mounts 4 with such notches and index tabs are included, if most of the three edges of the multiple mounts 4 overlapping in the thickness direction are substantially a single straight line when viewed from the front cover 31 side and the back cover 32 side, it can be said that the three edges of the multiple mounts 4 are aligned in a plan view.

The mount 4 is roughly divided into areas according to their functions, and is made up of a display area Y and a binding area X. The display area Y of the mount 4 is an area that becomes a double-page spread, and flooring material samples 5 can be attached to the front and back of the display area Y, and further, text such as a desired product description can be printed or a sticker showing a product description can be affixed, and the flooring material sample 5 can be attached. The binding area X of the mount 4 is an area that bundles multiple mounts 4 adjacent to each other in the thickness direction to prevent them from becoming disorganized, and is an area that extends in a band shape in the vertical direction on the opposite side to the front edge.
8, a fold line 45 may be formed at the boundary between the display area Y and the binding area X of the mount 4. Examples of the fold line 45 include a pressed line, a half-cut line, a perforation line, a weakened line, etc. The fold line 45 of the mount 4 is preferably provided at the boundary between the display area Y and the binding area X of the mount 4 or near the boundary.
The flooring material sample 5 is attached to a desired location on the front surface or the front and back surfaces of the display area Y of the mount 4, and preferably, as in the illustrated example, is attached to a desired location on the front surface of the mount 4. The flooring material sample 5 is attached to the mount 4 so as not to fall off inadvertently, and is fixed to the mount 4, for example, via an adhesive. Note that, as shown in Fig. 8, a product description and the like are displayed in an appropriate location in the display area Y of the mount 4.

The booklet body 2 has a plurality of mounts 4 to which flooring material samples 5 are attached, and, if necessary, has one or more mounts 4 to which no flooring material sample 5 is attached.
For example, the booklet body 2 has multiple mounts 4 with flooring material samples 5 attached, and one mount 4 without a flooring material sample 5 attached (see Figures 6 and 7). Hereinafter, when it is necessary to distinguish between mounts 4 with flooring material samples 5 attached and mounts 4 without flooring material samples 5 attached, the mount 4 with flooring material samples 5 attached may be referred to as "mount 4S with sample" and the mount 4 without flooring material sample 5 attached may be referred to as "mount 4N without sample".

The sample mount 4S has a flooring sample 5 attached to the surface of its display area Y. In this specification, the surface of the mount 4 etc. refers to the surface on the front cover 31 side, and the back side refers to the surface on the back cover 32 side. The attachment location of the flooring sample 5 on the sample mount 4S is not particularly limited and can be set at any appropriate position. For example, (a) the flooring samples 5 may be attached so that all of the flooring samples 5 of any two sample-attached mounts 4S adjacent in the thickness direction completely overlap in the thickness direction, or (b) the flooring samples 5 may be attached so that all of the flooring samples 5 of any two sample-attached mounts 4S adjacent in the thickness direction do not overlap in the thickness direction, or (c) the flooring samples 5 may be attached so that one or more of the flooring samples 5 of any two sample-attached mounts 4S adjacent in the thickness direction completely overlap in the thickness direction and one or more of the flooring samples 5 partially overlap in the thickness direction, or (d) the flooring samples 5 may be attached so that one or more of the flooring samples 5 of any two sample-attached mounts 4S adjacent in the thickness direction completely overlap in the thickness direction and one or more of the flooring samples 5 do not overlap in the thickness direction, or a combination of (c) and (d) above may be used. Any two adjacent sample-attached mounts 4S in the thickness direction of (a) to (d) may be directly adjacent or adjacent with a sample-free mount 4N sandwiched between them.

When the flooring samples 5 of each sample mount 4S are arranged so that they completely overlap in the thickness direction, each mount 4 is continuously supported by the flooring samples 5, which has the effect of supporting the display area Y like a pillar. The flooring samples 5 may also be attached to both sides of the sample mount 4S. In this case, it is preferable to arrange the flooring samples 5 on the opposing sides of adjacent sample mounts 4S so that they do not overlap each other, as this prevents the thickness of the sample mount 4S from becoming large and eliminates the difference in thickness between the area where the flooring sample 5 is attached to only one side of the opposing mount 4S and the area where the flooring sample 5 is attached to both sides of the opposing mount 4S.

In order to make the display area Y of the multiple mounts 4 less likely to bend due to the load applied in the thickness direction of the sample book 1, it is preferable that all sample mounts 4S satisfy the following relationship. In other words, it is preferable that all sample mounts 4S satisfy the relationship that at least one flooring sample 5 attached to one mount 4 partially or completely overlaps with at least one flooring sample 5 attached to a mount 4 adjacent to that mount 4 in the thickness direction. In addition, arranging the flooring samples 5 on the front and back of the sample mount 4S in an appropriate manner rather than concentrating them in one place can distribute the load applied in the thickness direction of the sample book 1 and reduce bending. When each mount 4 is less likely to bend, deterioration over time and damage are reduced, and the durability of the sample book 1 is improved.

A plate member 6 having approximately the same thickness as the flooring material sample 5 is disposed in the binding area X of the sample mount 4S. The plate member 6 is provided to make the thickness of the binding area X of the booklet main body 2 approximately equal to the thickness of the display area Y. Since the sample book 1 of the present invention is constituted by stacking a plurality of mounts 4 to form the booklet main body 2, the plate member 6 is disposed between the binding area of the sample mount 4S and the binding area of the mount 4 that is directly adjacent to the sample mount 4S in the thickness direction.
By disposing the plate member 6 in the binding area X of the sample mount 4S, it is possible to eliminate the uneven thickness in the surface direction of the booklet body 2 caused by attaching the flooring material sample 5 to the mount 4. In terms of the significance of such a plate member 6, for example, in the sample mount 4S in which the flooring material sample 5 is attached to the front side, the plate member 6 is disposed on the front side of the binding area, in the sample mount 4S in which the flooring material sample 5 is attached to the back side, the plate member 6 is disposed on the back side of the binding area, and in the sample mount 4S in which the flooring material sample 5 is attached to both the front and back sides, the plate member 6 is disposed on both the front and back sides of the binding area.
Furthermore, due to the significance of the plate member 6, the binding area of the sample-free mount 4N is directly adjacent to the binding area of the mount 4 adjacent to the sample-free mount 4N without the need for an intervening plate member 6.

The plate member 6 is provided at least in the portion of the binding area X into which the retaining bar 7 described later is inserted and in the vicinity of that portion. As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the plate member 6 is a strip extending in the vertical direction in a plan view. The plate member 6 may be substantially the same shape and size as the binding area X of the mount 4 in a plan view, or may be substantially the same shape and smaller in area than the binding area X of the mount 4 in a plan view, or may be a different shape and smaller in area than the binding area X of the mount 4 in a plan view. In the illustrated example, the plate member 6 extends over substantially the entire vertical direction of the binding area X to the extent that the upper edge of the plate member 6 coincides with or is located near the upper edge of the binding area X, and the lower edge of the plate member 6 coincides with or is located near the lower edge of the binding area X, so that the plate member 6 does not protrude outward from the upper and lower edges of the binding area X of the mount 4. This configuration can increase the strength of the binding area X, and by providing the sample book 1 with a structure similar to a core material, the strength of the sample book 1 can be increased. When the strength of the sample book 1 is increased, it becomes less prone to breakage and deterioration over time, and the sample book 1 can be used for a long period of time. In addition, since the binding area X is the part that is grasped when inserting and removing the sample book 1 from the bookshelf, by adopting the above configuration in which the strength of the binding area X is high, the sample book 1 can be handled easily.

The plate member 6 is formed from, for example, scraps of flooring material of the same thickness as the flooring sample 5; paper such as cardboard and slip paper; synthetic resin sheets; wood such as plywood; and composites of these. Among them, a plate member 6 made of synthetic resin having flexibility and elasticity is preferable because it is hard to break and lightweight, and it is easy to insert the fastening rod 7 when manufacturing the sample book 1. A plate member with high elasticity is effective in absorbing impact when an impact is applied to the binding area X, so that the booklet body 2 is hard to break. Among them, a plate member 6 made of polyvinyl chloride resin is preferable because it has suitable strength, flexibility, elasticity, and hardness, is lightweight, and is low-cost. In addition, by using scraps of flooring material of the same thickness as the flooring sample 5, it is more preferable because it is cost-effective and does not require thickness adjustment. Among flooring materials, using resin flooring as the plate member 6 is optimal because it is easy to cut and punch during processing and does not generate fiber waste, unlike flooring materials with pile on the surface.

The scraps of the flooring material refer to small pieces of flooring material, and may be pieces to be discarded or pieces that can be used for some purpose. In particular, using scraps that are to be discarded, such as scraps generated during the manufacture of flooring material, as the board member 6 is preferable from the viewpoint of environmental protection, since it is possible to effectively utilize materials that would otherwise be discarded.
Furthermore, the scrap of flooring material having the same thickness as the flooring material sample 5 may be a scrap of the same flooring material as the flooring material sample 5, provided that it has the same thickness as the flooring material sample 5 attached to the backing 4, or may be a scrap of a flooring material different from the flooring material sample 5. Examples of flooring materials different from the flooring material sample 5 include those that are the same as the flooring material sample 5 except for a different color and pattern of the design; those that are the same as the flooring material sample 5 except for a difference in some layer configurations; those that are the same as the flooring material sample 5 except for the presence or absence of embossed irregularities; and those that are the same as the flooring material sample 5 except for a different color and pattern of the design and material.

The plate member 6 may be fixed to the binding area X of the mount 4 using an adhesive, but since the sample book 1 can be easily manufactured, it is preferable that the plate member 6 is not fixed to the binding area X of the mount 4 adjacent to the plate member 6 in the thickness direction with an adhesive. In this case, the plate member 6 is in contact with the binding area X of the adjacent mount 4. In this embodiment, the plate member 6 and the binding area X of the mount 4 are integrated with the retaining bar 7 without being fixed with an adhesive.

A concealing portion 8 is provided at the top and bottom edges of the booklet body 2 in the portion that corresponds to the binding area X. The concealing portion 8 is a member that covers the upper and lower edges of the binding area X of each mount 4 and the upper and lower edges of the plate member 6. By providing the concealing portion 8, the binding area X of each mount 4 and the plate member 6 are not visible when viewed from above and below, further improving the appearance of the sample book 1.

Referring to FIG. 6, the concealing portion 8 has a plate-shaped main body piece 81, and preferably further has an attachment piece 82 for attachment to the booklet body 2 or the like. For example, the concealing portion 8 has a plate-shaped main body piece 81 and a plate-shaped attachment piece 82 connected to both sides of the main body piece 81. The term "connected" here includes cases where the concealing portion 8 is integrally formed from a single material, and cases where separate members are joined together. For example, the concealing portion 8 can be formed by folding a single sheet material at two points. By forming the concealing portion 8 from a single sheet material, it is possible to form a concealing portion 8 that is easy to manufacture and has excellent strength.

For example, the main body piece 81 is disposed at the top and bottom edges so as to cover the binding area X of the booklet main body 2, and the two attachment pieces 82 are fixed with an adhesive to the front and back of the booklet main body 2, thereby providing the concealing portion 8 in a portion of the booklet main body 2 that corresponds to the binding area X. By fixing the two attachment pieces 82, the concealing portion 8 is firmly bonded and fixed at two points, making it difficult to come off, and the concealing portion 8 also plays a role as a guard that protects the binding area X and prevents damage.
The attachment pieces 82 of the concealing portion 8 may be fixed to the back surface of the front cover 31 and the surface of the back cover 32, or may be fixed to each of the front and back surfaces of the booklet main body 2 and the back surface of the front cover 31 and the surface of the back cover 32. Since the booklet main body 2 to which the concealing portion 8 is fixed can be easily integrated with the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 by the fastening rod 7, it is preferable that the concealing portion 8 is fixed only to the booklet main body 2.

The mount 4, the front cover 31, the back cover 32, the spine 33, and the blindfolding section 8 are formed from various sheet materials, such as paper such as cardboard and slip paper; synthetic resin sheets; synthetic paper; and composite sheets of these. By using paper for the mount 4, the sample book 1 becomes lightweight and easy to handle, and by using cardboard in particular, high rigidity can be ensured. In addition, by using a synthetic resin sheet for the mount 4, it is possible to ensure high durability with excellent abrasion resistance and water resistance, and by using a composite sheet in which cardboard is coated with synthetic resin, it is lightweight and easy to handle, and the synthetic resin film on the surface ensures abrasion resistance and water resistance. In consideration of these, for example, a sheet made by gluing two or more sheets of cardboard together, or a sheet made by gluing many sheets of thin paper together, or a sheet of paper that is thicker and more rigid than cardboard and has a synthetic resin coated on the surface is preferably used for the mount 4.

Moreover, the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 are preferably formed from a sheet material that is thicker and more rigid than the mount 4, and further, the spine 33 is more preferably formed from a sheet material that is thicker and more rigid than the mount 4. Moreover, from the viewpoint of reducing the types of materials used, the concealing portion 8 is preferably formed from the same sheet material as the front cover 31 and the back cover 32.
For example, the mount 4 is made of cardboard, and the front cover 31, back cover 32, spine 33 and concealing portion 8 are made of a composite sheet in which a slip sheet thicker than the cardboard is coated with synthetic resin. By covering the booklet body 2 with a strong material in this way, the strength of the entire sample book 1 is increased and durability can be improved. In addition, since the strength of the front cover 31, back cover 32, spine 33 and concealing portion 8 is the same, unevenness in strength is unlikely to occur and partial breakage can be prevented, so the sample book 1 can be used for a long period of time. Furthermore, by making the mount 4 relatively thin, the sample book 1 can be easily turned over, improving handling properties.
The front cover 31 may have an inner cover (not shown) on its back side. Similarly, the back cover 32 may have an inner cover (not shown) on its front side. The inner cover is thinner than the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 and is made of a sheet material that is more flexible than the mount 4. For example, the inner cover is made of plain paper.

The front cover 31, the booklet body 2 and the back cover 32 are integrated together by a fastening rod 7.
Specifically, the fastening bar 7 is inserted into the binding area X of each mount 4 and the binding area X of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32. The fastening bar 7 is inserted in the thickness direction of the binding area X. As described above, since the plate member 6 is arranged in the binding area X of the sample mount 4S, the fastening bar 7 is inserted including the plate member 6 interposed in the binding area X. The binding area X of each mount 4, the binding area X of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32, and the plate member 6 are strongly adhered to the fastening bar 7 and integrated. The term "strongly adhered and integrated" means that the fastening bar 7 and the binding area X of the mount 4 are not fixed to each other with an adhesive, but the mount 4, etc. are deformed in material and forcibly expanded in the radial direction of the fastening bar 7 to be firmly adhered to the fastening bar 7, and as a result, the binding area X of each mount 4, the binding area X of the front cover 31 and the back cover 32, and the plate member 6 are integrated.

Furthermore, by fitting the fastening rod 7, the front cover 31 and the mount 4, the mount 4 and the plate member 6, the mount 4 and the back cover 32, etc. are in contact with each other in the thickness direction. Note that, although small gaps are shown between the front cover 31 and the mount 4, between the mount 4 and the plate member 6, and between the mount 4 and the back cover 32 in Figures 6 and 7, please note that these small gaps are shown with the intention of clearly indicating that the front cover 31 and the mount 4, etc., which are adjacent in the thickness direction, are not fixed with adhesive.
It is desirable to use a plate member 6 made of an elastic synthetic resin, because when the fastening rod 7 is inserted, the plate member 6 shrinks due to its elasticity, and then returns to its original shape after insertion, so that the plate member 6 is firmly fixed to the fastening rod 7. Furthermore, when a plate member 6 made of an appropriately flexible synthetic resin is used, the fastening rod 7 can be easily inserted, improving workability.

The fastening rod 7 has, for example, a head 7a and a shaft 7b connected to the head 7a and having a smaller diameter than the head 7a. The fastening rod 7 is a member made of synthetic resin or metal. Note that the term "connected" here also includes cases where the fastening rod 7 is integrally formed from one material and cases where separate members are joined together. The fastening rod 7 made of synthetic resin has the advantages of being inexpensive, easy to process, and lightweight, while the fastening rod 7 made of metal has the advantages of being strong and easy to insert.
The head 7a of the fastening rod 7 is engaged with the front cover 31 or the back cover 32. The shaft 7b of the fastening rod 7 is tightly attached to the binding areas X of the front cover 31, the mounts 4, and the back cover 32 and to the plate members 6, and is fitted into them in the thickness direction. In this embodiment, the fastening rod 7 has a sharp tip of the shaft 7b, and for example, a nail is used as the fastening rod 7. The use of a nail has the advantage of being easy to fit in and inexpensive, but if it is necessary to fix the mounts 4 more firmly, a screw or a nail with a step may be used.
As shown in Figures 6 and 7, it is preferable that the tip of the fastening rod 7, which has a sharp tip of the shaft portion 7b, does not penetrate to the back cover 32 or the front cover 31. If the tip penetrates the back cover 32 or the front cover 31, a cap may be attached to the tip to prevent the sharp portion from being exposed.

The number of fastening rods 7 is not particularly limited as long as it can integrate the binding areas X of the mounts 4 and prevent the mounts 4 from swinging.
As described above, it is preferable that the tip of the fastening rod 7 does not penetrate all the way through the back cover 32 or the front cover 31, so it is preferable to use a fastening rod 7 with a length of the shaft 7b shorter than the thickness of the binding area X of the sample book 1. The thickness of the binding area X of the sample book 1 is the thickness of the binding area X of the booklet body 2 + the thickness of the front cover 31 + the thickness of the back cover 32. In this case, there will be a mount 4, back cover 32 or front cover 31 without the shaft 7b inserted beyond the tip of the shaft 7b of the inserted fastening rod 7, so at least two fastening rods 7 are used: a fastening rod 7 with its head 7a engaged with the front cover 31 and a fastening rod 7 with its head 7a engaged with the back cover 32. In the illustrated example, two fastening rods 7 are used, each having its head 7a engaged with the front cover 31 and the tip of its shaft 7b inserted close to the back cover 32, and two fastening rods 7 each having its head 7a engaged with the back cover 32 and the tip of its shaft 7b inserted close to the front cover 31. The fastening rods 7 whose heads 7a are engaged with the front cover 31 and the fastening rods 7 whose heads 7a are engaged with the back cover 32 are inserted with a vertical offset so that their shafts 7b do not interfere with each other.
In addition, since the spine 33 is connected to the front cover 31 and the back cover 32, by integrating the front cover 31 and the back cover 32 with the booklet body 2 with the fastening rod 7, the spine 33 can be disposed on the back surface of the booklet body 2 without using the fastening rod 7 or adhesive.

The sample book 1 of the present invention can be produced, for example, as follows.
A mount 4S with a sample, a mount 4N without a sample as required, and a plate member 6 are prepared, and while arranging the plate member 6 in the binding area X of the mount 4S with a sample, the mounts 4 are aligned and stacked in order to form a booklet body 2. If necessary, a blind portion 8 is fixed to the binding area X of the booklet body 2 with an adhesive.
A front cover 31, a spine cover 33 and a back cover 32 made from a single sheet material are arranged on the front, back and underside of this booklet body 2, and nails serving as fastening rods 7 are driven into the binding area X from the front cover 31 side, for example with two nails spaced apart, and further nails serving as fastening rods 7 are driven into the binding area X from the back cover 32 side, for example with two nails spaced apart. In this manner, the sample book 1 of the present invention can be obtained.

The sample book 1 of the present invention can be easily manufactured because the booklet body 2 and the front cover 31 and back cover 32 can be integrated by driving the fastening bar 7 in the thickness direction of the binding area X. Furthermore, since the plate member 6 is present in the binding area X of the mount 4, this plate member 6 functions as a support when the fastening bar 7 is driven in, preventing misalignment or mistakes in driving the fastening bar 7.
Alternatively, a guide hole smaller in diameter than the fastening rod 7 can be drilled in advance in the binding area X and plate member 6 of the front cover 31, etc. using a drill or laser light, and then the fastening rod 7 can be driven into the guide hole. However, by using a fastening rod 7 with a pointed tip, the fastening rod 7 can be driven in without forming guide holes in the binding area X and plate member 6 of the front cover 31, each mount 4, and back cover 32.
Furthermore, even if the plate member 6 is not fixed to the binding area X of the backing paper 4 with adhesive, i.e., even if the plate member 6 is arranged in contact with the binding area X of the backing paper 4, these can be integrated by inserting the retaining bar 7, and material costs can be reduced. In addition, since there is no need to apply adhesive, the number of work steps can be reduced and manufacturing costs can be lowered.

In the sample book 1 of the present invention, the binding areas X of each mount 4, front cover 31, and back cover 32 and the plate member 6 are tightly attached to the retaining bar 7 and integrated, so that the mount 4 and the like do not move in the surface direction, and the mount 4 is prevented from bending or wearing out, and therefore has excellent durability. In addition, as described above, the mount 4, front cover 31, back cover 32, and plate member 6 are integrated by the retaining bar 7, so that the sample book 1 can be easily manufactured. Furthermore, since the plate member 6 having approximately the same thickness as the flooring sample 5 is arranged in the binding area X of the sample mount 4S, the thickness of the binding area X of the booklet body 2 and the thickness of the display area Y are approximately uniform. Therefore, the booklet body 2 consisting of multiple mounts 4 is less likely to have thickness unevenness in the surface direction, and a sample book 1 having a good appearance and excellent usability can be provided. If the end material of the flooring material is used as the plate member 6, the material cost can be reduced.
Furthermore, if the booklet body 2 is provided with a concealing portion 8, the binding area X of each mount 4 and the plate member 6 are concealed when viewed from above and below, providing a sample book 1 with a better appearance.
Furthermore, when the three edges of the booklet body 2 and the three edges of the front cover 31 and back cover 32 are aligned in a plan view, the edges of the front cover 31 etc. can be prevented from bending when stored standing up, and a sample book 1 with better durability and appearance can be provided.

[Second embodiment]
In the above first embodiment, a band-shaped plate member 6 extending over almost the entire vertical direction of the binding area X of the backing paper 4 is exemplified, but the plate member 6 is not limited to this. For example, as shown in FIG. 9, the plate member 6 may be partially arranged in the vertical direction of the binding area X of the backing paper 4.
Specifically, the plate member 6 is provided to extend to the portion of the binding area X of the sample-attached mount 4S into which the fastening rods 7 are inserted and the periphery of that portion. In the illustrated example, a first plate member 61 extending to the periphery including the portion into which the upper two fastening rods 7 are inserted, and a second plate member 62 extending to the periphery including the portion into which the lower two fastening rods 7 are inserted are disposed in the binding area X of the sample-attached mount 4S. A gap A is formed between the first plate member 61 and the second plate member 62. When the concealing portion 8 is provided, in order to facilitate the attachment of the concealing portion 8, it is preferable that the upper edge of the first plate member 61 coincides with the upper edge of the binding area X of the mount 4 or extends to the vicinity of the upper edge. For the same reason, it is preferable that the lower edge of the second plate member 62 coincides with the lower edge of the binding area X of the mount 4 or extends to the vicinity of the lower edge.

[Third embodiment]
In the above first and second embodiments, a fastening bar 7 having a head 7a on one side of the shaft portion 7b and a sharp tip on the opposite side of the shaft portion 7b is used, but the fastening bar 7 is not limited to this. For example, as shown in FIG. 10, a fastening bar 7 having heads 71a, 72a on both sides may be used.

The fastening rod 7 shown in FIG. 10 has a first rod-shaped body 71 having a head 71a and a shaft portion 71b connected to the head 71a and having a smaller diameter than the head 71a, and a second rod-shaped body 72 having a head 72a and a shaft portion 72b connected to the head 72a and having a smaller diameter than the head 72a, and the tip of the shaft portion 71b of the first rod-shaped body 71 and the tip of the shaft portion 72b of the second rod-shaped body 72 are engageable. For example, a male screw is formed at the tip of the shaft portion 71b of the first rod-shaped body 71, and a hole portion with a female screw is formed at the shaft portion 72b of the second rod-shaped body 72. By screwing the tip of the shaft portion 71b of the first rod-shaped body 71 into the hole portion of the shaft portion 72b of the second rod-shaped body 72, a fastening rod 7 in which the first rod-shaped body 71 and the second rod-shaped body 72 are engaged and integrated can be formed. Instead of the screwing, a hole may be formed in the tip of the shaft 71b of the first rod 71 or the tip of the shaft 72b of the second rod 72, and the tip of the shaft 72b of the second rod 72 or the tip of the shaft 71b of the first rod 71 may be forcibly inserted into the hole to engage the first rod 71 and the second rod 72. When using such a fastening rod 7, for example, a guide hole having a smaller diameter than the shaft 71b of the first rod 71 is formed in the binding area X of the front cover 31 or the like and the plate member 6, and the first rod 71 is driven into the guide hole from the front cover 31 or the back cover 32 side, and then the second rod 72 is engaged with the first rod 71 from the opposite side, so that the mount 4, the front cover 31, the back cover 32, and the plate member 6 are tightly attached to the fastening rod 7 to produce an integrated sample book 1.

The fastening rod 7 shown in FIG. 11 has a first head 73a, a shaft portion 73b connected to the first head 73a and having a smaller diameter than the head 73a, and a second head 73c connected to the shaft portion 73b on the opposite side of the first head 73a. The first head 73a is engaged with the front cover 31, the second head 73c is engaged with the back cover 32, and the shaft portion 73b is tightly attached to the front cover 31, the mount 4, and the back cover 32.

The fastening rod 7 as shown in Fig. 11 can be formed by crushing the tip of a fastening rod precursor. Specifically, a fastening rod precursor having a first head and a shaft like a rivet is formed from synthetic resin, and this precursor is driven into the binding area X of the front cover 31 and into the plate member 6, causing the tip of the shaft of the precursor to protrude from the back cover 31, and the protruding tip is thermally melted and engaged with the back cover 32, thereby forming the second head. In this way, the mounts 4, the front cover 31, the back cover 32, and the plate member 6 are tightly adhered to the fastening rod 7 as shown in Fig. 11, thereby manufacturing an integrated sample book 1.
According to this embodiment, since the mounts 4 and the like can be integrated by using at least two fastening rods 7, the number of fastening rods 7 used can be reduced.

[Fourth embodiment]
In the above first to third embodiments, the booklet body 2 having a plurality of sample-attached mount sheets 4S and one sample-free mount sheet 4N has been exemplified, but the booklet body 2 is not limited to this, and for example, as shown in Fig. 12, the booklet body 2 may have a plurality of sample-free mount sheets 4N. In the illustrated example, the booklet body 2 has one or a plurality of sample-free mount sheets 4N interposed between several sample-attached mount sheets 4S.
