[1. Overview]
(1) Issue In the retail industry (eyeglasses, apparel, home appliances, general merchandise, etc.), even if the products have the same unit price and the same product number (model number), the colors and sizes may differ. For this reason, when revising prices, buyers (purchasing staff) or product department operators had to revise the unit prices for each product in the product unit price master.

However, depending on the color and size combination, the unit prices for dozens of products, even though they had the same product number, had to be revised in the product unit price master, which meant a huge burden to make revisions. In addition, input errors or missed checks could lead to incorrect unit price revisions, which could result in incorrect unit price information being distributed to stores.

If incorrect unit price information is distributed to a store, the salesperson will notice the error in the unit price information when actually entering sales figures into the store's POS terminal, which can affect store operations and customer service. In addition, when a salesperson discovers incorrect unit price information, the product unit price master is revised and the master is distributed to each store, but this revision and distribution takes time.

To prevent this type of problem, one method is to prepare master data outside the system using Excel or similar software and then accept this data. However, because this is outside the system, various controls are not in place, which results in problems such as errors in registering unit prices and the need for operator skill.

In particular, for example in the eyeglass industry, frames and lenses are often sold as a set, and the frames sold as a set may be set at a lower unit price (set sales price) than the frames sold individually. In this case, manually revising the set sales price would be a huge effort, as there are many different colors and sizes of frames. For this reason, there was a demand for a system that allows the set sales price of frames to be revised all at once.

(2) Overview of this embodiment In this embodiment, a UI (User Interface) operated by, for example, a buyer (purchasing staff) or an operator in the product department is provided that enables products extracted based on any extraction condition (such as product number, color, and size) to be displayed on a screen.

On this screen, the currently set unit price information can be confirmed. In addition, when the unit price of a certain product on this screen is changed, the unit prices of other products with the same product number can also be changed all at once. And, by inputting a specified difference on this screen, a new set sales price can be automatically calculated based on the individual product price and the inputted difference.

(3) Effects of this embodiment This successfully reduces the workload and correction errors when correcting unit prices in the product unit price master. It also successfully eliminates sales input based on erroneous unit price information, inadequate receipt issuance, and unnecessary customer service, which occurred when erroneous unit price information was distributed to the store. Even operators with low skills can now refer to the products displayed on the screen and correct unit prices. The specific configuration and operation are described below.

2. Configuration
An example of the configuration of a collective price revision support device 100 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 1. Fig. 1 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the collective price revision support device 100.

The price revision support device 100 is a commercially available desktop personal computer. The price revision support device 100 is not limited to a stationary information processing device such as a desktop personal computer, but may be a portable information processing device such as a commercially available notebook personal computer, PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), smartphone, or tablet personal computer.

The batch price revision support device 100 includes a control unit 102, a communication interface unit 104, a memory unit 106, and an input/output interface unit 108. Each unit included in the batch price revision support device 100 is connected to each other so as to be able to communicate with each other via any communication path.

The communication interface unit 104 communicatively connects the collective price revision support device 100 to the network 300 via a communication device such as a router and a wired or wireless communication line such as a dedicated line. The communication interface unit 104 has a function of communicating data with other devices via the communication line. An input device 112 and an output device 114 are connected to the input/output interface unit 108. The output device 114 may be a monitor (including a home television), a speaker, or a printer. The storage unit 106 stores various databases, tables, files, and the like. The memory unit 106 includes, for example, a product master 106a, a product unit price master 106b as a price master, and a person in charge master 106c as an authority management master.

As shown in FIG. 3, the product master 106a includes, for example, product identification information (product code and product name) for identifying the product, product attribute information (brand and product number) for identifying the attributes of the product, product characteristic information (color and size) for identifying the characteristics of the product, the supplier of the product, and a category (product category) for identifying the type of the product.

The product number is a convenient identification code for grouping together multiple products that have the same shape and design, but different colors and sizes. For example, in the example of product master 106a in Figure 3, the four eyeglass frames with product codes A00001 to A00004 have different colors and sizes, but the same shape and design, so they are all assigned the same product number "ABC-AA."

As shown in FIG. 3, the product unit price master 106b includes, for example, the product identification information (product code), price information about the product, and the revision date of the price information. As shown in FIG. 3, the price information refers to the purchase price of the product, the single item price which is the price when the product is sold as a single item, and the set sales price which is the price when the product is sold as a set with other products.

The single item price and the set sales price will be explained. For example, eyeglass frames may be sold as a single item, or may be sold as a set with eyeglass lenses. In the former case, the price of the eyeglass frames is the single item price, and in the latter case, the price of the eyeglass frames is the set sales price. Usually, the set sales price is lower than the single item price.

In the eyeglass retail industry, there is a common practical need to revise the set sales price for each product number, and the bulk price revision support device 100 according to this embodiment makes it possible to meet this need.

As shown in FIG. 12, the staff master 106c includes, for example, staff identification data (staff code and staff name) for identifying the staff, the department to which the staff belongs, a category (menu authority) indicating whether each staff has authority to change the price information, and a category (purchasing authority) indicating the extent to which each staff has authority to change the price information.

The menu authority will now be explained. If the menu authority indicates that the person in charge does not have the authority to change the price information (0: none), the person in charge cannot open the input screen for revising the price. On the other hand, if the menu authority indicates that the person in charge has the authority to change the price information (1: yes), the person in charge can open the input screen and change the price information.

The purchasing authority will be explained. If the purchasing authority indicates narrow change authority (0: none), the person in charge can change only the set sales price of the price information. In contrast, if the purchasing authority indicates broad change authority (1: yes), the person in charge can change all of the price information, including the purchase price, the single item price, and the set sales price.

The control unit 102 is a CPU or the like that performs overall control of the bulk price revision support device 100. The control unit 102 has an internal memory for storing control programs such as an OS, programs that define various processing procedures, required data, etc., and executes various information processing operations based on these stored programs.

When the price information for a particular item among the multiple items displayed on the item display unit 102a is changed by the operator, the item identification unit 102b identifies an item that contains the same product attribute information as the product attribute information contained in the particular item whose price information has been changed (corresponding to step S3A in FIG. 2).

The price change unit 102c also changes the price information contained in the details identified by the detail identification unit 102b to the changed price information contained in the certain detail (corresponding to step S3A in Figure 2).

When a predetermined difference is set by the operator on the screen for the multiple details displayed on the detail display unit 102a, including the product attribute information, the single item price, and the set sales price, the set price calculation unit 102d calculates a changed set sales price by subtracting the set difference from the single item price. The set price calculation unit 102d then changes the set sales price included in the multiple details to the calculated changed set sales price (corresponding to step S3B in FIG. 2).

The bulk revision unit 102e performs a bulk revision of the price information by reflecting the changed price information contained in the details that are the subject of the price information change in the product unit price master 106b (corresponding to step S4 in Figure 2).

The batch revision unit 102e may revise the price information in a batch by updating the product unit price master 106b in one of the following two ways. That is, when the operator specifies on the screen that the changed price information is to be applied from the present time (current price revision), the batch revision unit 102e overwrites the price information before the change in the product unit price master 106b with the changed price information. On the other hand, when the operator specifies on the screen that the changed price information is to be applied from a future time point (batch price revision), the batch revision unit 102e leaves a record containing the price information before the change in the product unit price master 106b, and adds a new record to the product unit price master 106b that contains the future date and the changed price information input on the screen by the operator.

3. Specific examples of processing
In this section, a specific example of the process according to this embodiment will be described. The process flow is as shown in FIG. 2. That is, first, the target products are narrowed down (step S1 in FIG. 2), then the target products and price information are displayed (step S2 in FIG. 2). Next, a bulk price change for products with the same product number (step S3A in FIG. 2) or a bulk price change using the difference (step S3B in FIG. 2) is performed. Finally, the changed price is reflected in the product unit price master 106b (step S4 in FIG. 2).

[3-1. Narrowing down products (step S1)]
First, the target products are narrowed down based on conditions such as product category, brand, product number, supplier, manufacturer, current unit price, etc. This will be described in detail below.

As shown in Figure 4, the product category "1: eyeglass frames", brand "BR001", and reference date "2021/12/01" are entered in the extraction condition area shown surrounded by a dotted line frame on the input screen for performing the sales price revision process (hereinafter simply referred to as the "input screen").

In this example, although they are not entered as extraction conditions, the supplier, product number, manufacturer, etc. may be entered. In addition, for the single item price, set sales price, purchase price, and gross profit, the amount is entered, and extraction can be performed under the condition of either being equal to or greater than the entered amount, or being equal to or less than the entered amount.

After inputting the extraction conditions, pressing "F11: Display" at the bottom right of the input screen in Figure 4 will cause the display described in [3-2] below to be executed.

Next, the horizontal axis displays the brand, product number, color, and size of each product, along with the purchase price, single item price, and set sales price of each product. This will be explained in detail below.

The input extraction conditions are as explained in [3-1]. The product master 106a and product unit price master 106b are assumed to have been preset with the contents shown in FIG. 3. In the product unit price master 106b in FIG. 3, the product identified by the product code "C00001" is a contact lens that is not eligible for set sales. Whether or not it is eligible for set sales depends on the product category. For products that are not eligible for set sales, the set sales price is set to the same price as the single item price, as shown by the hatched "2,500 yen" in the lower right corner of the product unit price master 106b in FIG. 3, and the set sales price cannot be changed. The processing performed by the details display unit 102a is explained below.

The details display unit 102a extracts six records, shown hatched in the product master 106a shown again in Figure 5, from the product master 106a in Figure 3, which contain the product category "1: eyeglass frames" and brand "BR001" entered as the extraction conditions in [3-1].

Next, the detail display unit 102a extracts six records, shown hatched in the product unit price master 106b shown again in Figure 5, from the product unit price master 106b in Figure 3 as records that contain the product codes among the six records obtained in the previous paragraph.

Note that there are two records containing the product code "A00001" in the product unit price master 106b in FIG. 5. In this way, when there are two or more records containing the same product code, the detail display unit 102a extracts the record containing the latest revision date as of the reference date "2021/12/01" entered as the extraction condition in [3-1]. Specifically, referring to the product unit price master 106b in FIG. 5, of the two records containing the same product code "A00001," the revision date in one record is "2015/04/01" and the revision date in the other record is "2020/04/01," so the detail display unit 102a extracts the latter record.

Then, the details display unit 102a displays six details based on the six records extracted from the product master 106a and the six records extracted from the product unit price master 106b, as shown in the lower half of the input screen in Figure 6. Of the six displayed details, the product, brand, product number, color, and size are information based on the records extracted from the product master 106a, while the last revision date, purchase price, single item price, and set sales price are information based on the records extracted from the product unit price master 106b.

The details display unit 102a displays details with the same information together in the following order of priority: brand > product number > product CD. In the example shown in the lower half of the input screen in Figure 6, the details display unit 102a displays six details including the brand "BR001" together, and among these, four details including the product number "ABC-AA" together, while two details including the product number "ABC-BB" together are also displayed together.

In this section, we will explain an example in which when the price of one product is changed, the prices of other products with the same product number are also changed at once. We will explain this in detail below.

First, as shown in Figure 7, the "Same item number bundle" check box at the top of the input screen is checked. Next, the changed set sales price is entered. In this example, as shown by the dotted line frame in the "Revised set price" column in Figure 8, the set sales price for the item with product code "A00001" out of the six items displayed in [3-2] by the item display unit 102a is changed from 1,550 yen to 1,600 yen.

When the price change described in the previous paragraph is made, the detail identification unit 102b identifies three details, as shown in FIG. 8, including the item number "ABC-AA" included in the detail of the product code "A00001" whose set sales price has been changed: the detail of product code "A00002," the detail of product code "A00003," and the detail of product code "A00004."

In the example in the previous paragraph, an example was described in which the detail identification unit 102b identifies a detail that includes the same product number as the product number included in the detail for which a price change has been made. In other words, a case was described in which the identification key is only the product number, but the identification key is not limited to this and may be, for example, a combination of brand and product number, or a combination of supplier, brand and product number. Using an identification key that is a combination of supplier, brand and product number makes it possible to handle cases in which products are procured from multiple suppliers.

Finally, the operator checks that the updated set sales price displayed on the input screen is correct, and if there are no problems, presses "F12: Update." This causes the updated set sales price to be reflected in the product unit price master 106b. In this way, by requiring the operator to confirm before updating the product unit price master 106b, registration errors can be prevented.

As shown in FIG. 9, when the "Same item number bundle" check box at the top of the input screen is not checked and the set sales price of a certain item is changed, the set sales price is changed only for that particular item, as shown on the right side of FIG. 9. In other words, the processing by the item specification unit 102b and the price change unit 102c described above is not executed.

In this section, we will explain an example in which the set sales price is changed by using the difference in price from the single item price. We will explain in detail below.

When the difference (discount amount) is entered in the "Individual Item Price Difference" box shown in a dotted line frame in the upper right corner of the input screen in Figure 10 and then "F12: Update" is pressed in the dotted line frame in the lower right corner of the same screen, the revised set sales price is calculated using the difference that was entered.

Specifically, as shown in FIG. 11, when -300 yen is entered as the discount amount for the eyeglass frames when the eyeglass frames are sold as a set with eyeglass lenses and "F12: Update" is then pressed, the set price calculation unit 102d calculates the changed set sales price of the eyeglass frames to 1,500 yen by subtracting 300 yen from the single item price of the eyeglass frames of 1,800 yen.

In this way, the operator can change the discount amount for the eyeglass frames when sold as a set from 250 yen to 300 yen, thereby changing the set sales price of the eyeglass frames from 1,550 yen to 1,500 yen.

If a difference is entered in the "single item price difference" field on the input screen, the changed set sales price entered in the "revised set price" field on the input screen is ignored, and processing is performed by the set price calculation unit 102d. In other words, the difference entered in the "single item price difference" field takes priority in processing over the price directly entered in the "revised set price" field.

Those for whom "1: Yes" is set as the menu authority in the person in charge master 106c in FIG. 12, namely Sato, Tanaka, and Yamamoto, can open the input screen and change the price information. Next, there are differences in the scope of price information changes that Sato, Tanaka, and Yamamoto can make, which will be explained. In this case, the details display unit 102a displays multiple details for Tanaka and Yamamoto, who belong to the product department, in such a way that only the set sales price can be changed, as shown in FIG. 13, while the unit purchase price and single item price are locked and cannot be changed.
