Description

The present invention relates to a bathroom equipped with a shower bar device.

It is known to install a shower bar in a bathroom, with a shower hook that can hold a shower head and is attached so that it can move up and down. By moving the shower hook downward relative to the shower bar, a user can take a shower while seated on a chair or the like installed in the bathroom. In addition, by moving the shower hook upward relative to the shower bar, a user can take a shower while standing. However, taking into consideration the user's posture when taking a shower, there is still room for improvement in the structure of the shower bar and shower hook.

The present invention was made based on the recognition of such problems, and aims to provide a shower bar device that allows users to shower more comfortably.

The first invention is a shower bar device that includes a shower bar that is attached to the wall of a bathroom while extending in the vertical direction, and a shower hook that has a holding part that detachably holds a shower head and is attached to the shower bar so that it can slide in the vertical direction, and the shower bar is characterized in that the holding part moves forward as the shower hook moves downward.

When a user is seated on a chair or the like installed in the bathroom, the upper half of the body is positioned further away from the shower bar compared to when the user is standing. With this shower bar device, the shower bar moves the holder forward as the shower hook points downward. Therefore, when the user is seated on a chair or the like and uses the shower bar with the shower hook facing downward, the holder that holds the shower head moves forward compared to when the shower hook is facing upward. This brings the shower head closer to the upper half of the user's body, which has moved backward by sitting on a chair or the like, making it easier for water to hit the upper half of the user's body when seated. This allows the user to shower comfortably while seated.

In addition, when the user is standing up and the shower hook is in an upward position, the holder that holds the shower head moves further back than when the shower hook is in a downward position. This prevents the shower head from getting too close to the upper body of the user, which moves forward as the user stands up, for example, when the user stands up from a seated position on a chair or the like. This makes it easier for water to hit the upper body of the user when the user stands up from a seated position on a chair or the like, allowing the user to shower more comfortably. It is therefore possible to provide a shower bar device that allows the user to shower more comfortably whether they are seated on a chair or the like or standing up.

The second invention is a shower bar device according to the first invention, characterized in that the shower bar increases the rearward movement of the holding part according to the unit height as the shower hook moves upward.

This shower bar device prevents the holder from moving back and forth more than necessary when the height of the shower hook is finely adjusted while the user is seated on a chair or the like and the "shower hook is in the downward position," making it easier to adjust the height of the shower hook. With this shower bar device, the holding portion is positioned forward of the bottom end of the shower bar when the shower hook is in its uppermost position, preventing the bottom end of the shower bar from getting in the way and making it difficult to grasp the shower head held by the holding portion, even when the shower hook is in its uppermost position. In addition, when the user is using the shower bar while standing, the bottom end of the shower bar is prevented from getting in the way, allowing the user to shower comfortably in a comfortable position.

The fourth invention is a shower bar device according to the third invention, characterized in that the shower hook is attached to the shower bar so as to be slidable in the vertical direction and rotatable around the shower bar, and the holding part is positioned forward of the lower end of the shower bar when the shower hook is positioned at the uppermost position and the shower hook is rotated so that the holding part is positioned in front of the shower bar.

With this shower bar device, even when the shower hook is made rotatable, it is possible to more reliably prevent the lower end of the shower bar from getting in the way and making it difficult to grasp the shower head held in the holding part.

The present invention provides a shower bar device that allows for a more comfortable shower experience.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a bathroom according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in Fig. 1, the bathroom 2 includes a shower bar device 10, a wall panel 11, a washbasin counter 12, a water faucet device 13, a shower head 14, and a mirror 15. Although not shown in Fig. 1 for convenience, the bathroom 2 further includes, for example, a washing area floor, a bathtub, and a ceiling panel.

The wall panel 11 has a wall surface 11a. The wall panel 11 is installed in the bathroom 2 with the wall surface 11a standing up approximately vertically from the end of the washing area floor. In this way, the wall panel 11 forms the wall surface of the bathroom 2. In other words, the wall surface 11a is the wall surface of the bathroom 2.

Bathroom 2 also has, for example, multiple wall panels that form a rectangular space. Wall panel 11 is, for example, one of the multiple wall panels of bathroom 2 that is installed adjacent to the bathtub.

The shower bar device 10 comprises a shower bar 20 and a shower hook 22. The shower bar 20 is attached to the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11 while extending in the vertical direction. The shower hook 22 has a holding portion 30 that removably holds the shower head 14, and is attached to the shower bar 20 so that it can slide vertically.

The shower bar device 10 allows the shower hook 22 to slide up and down, making it possible to adjust the vertical position of the shower head 14 held by the holding part 30.

Therefore, in the shower bar device 10, for example, by adjusting the vertical position of the shower hook 22, the user can receive water ejected from the shower head 14 at an appropriate position according to the user's physique, etc. In this specification, "water" also includes heated "hot water."

In addition, the shower bar device 10 allows the shower hook 22 to slide up and down, allowing the user to properly receive water ejected from the shower head 14 whether standing or seated on a chair or the like placed on the floor of the wash area.

Furthermore, the shower bar device 10 allows the shower bar 20 to be used as a handrail. This makes it easier for a user to stand up from a seated position on a chair by grabbing the shower bar 20. Alternatively, when moving between the bathtub and the washing area floor, the user can grab the shower bar 20 to make it easier to move between the bathtub and the washing area floor. In this way, the shower bar device 10 allows the shower bar 20 to be used as a handrail, thereby assisting the user in actions such as standing up and moving around.

The distance D1 from the bottom end of the shower bar 20 to the floor surface of the washing area floor is, for example, 80 cm or less. This makes it easy for the user to grasp the shower bar 20 even when seated on a chair or the like. Also, the distance D1 from the bottom end of the shower bar 20 to the floor surface of the washing area floor is, for example, 60 cm or more. This prevents the bottom end of the shower bar 20 from hitting the user's feet or the like and getting in the way.

The vertical length L1 of the shower bar 20 is, for example, 90 cm or more and 120 cm or less. The height to the ceiling of the bathroom 2 is approximately 2 m. Therefore, by setting the length L1 as described above, the shower bar device 10 can be applied to various types of bathrooms 2, and the shower hook 22 can be positioned at an appropriate height.

The washbasin counter 12 is attached to the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11 below the shower bar device 10. The washbasin counter 12 has an upper surface 12a. The upper surface 12a of the washbasin counter 12 extends in the left-right and front-back directions, and allows items such as a washbowl or shampoo bottle to be placed on it.

The shower bar device 10 is positioned, for example, within the left-right width of the vanity counter 12. In other words, the vanity counter 12 is positioned in a position that overlaps with the shower bar device 10 in the up-down direction. In this case, the lower end of the shower bar device 10 (the lower end of the shower bar 20) may be attached to the vanity counter 12. However, the vanity counter 12 may be positioned in a position offset from the shower bar device 10 in the left-right direction. At least the upper surface 12a of the vanity counter 12 needs to be positioned lower than the lower end of the shower bar device 10.

The faucet device 13 is attached above the vanity counter 12 on the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11. The faucet device 13 has a water outlet 13a that discharges water downward. The faucet device 13 is positioned within the left-right width of the vanity counter 12. The faucet device 13 discharges water from the water outlet 13a toward the top surface 12a of the vanity counter 12, for example. This allows water to be collected in a washbasin or the like placed on the top surface 12a of the vanity counter 12.

The shower head 14 is connected to the water faucet device 13 via a hose 16. The shower head 14 has, for example, a head body 14a having a water spray plate 14w with multiple water outlet holes, and a roughly rod-shaped handle portion 14b extending from the head body 14a. The shower head 14 is connected to the hose 16 at the end of the handle portion 14b opposite the head body 14a. The handle portion 14b has, for example, a tapered shape that gradually becomes thinner from the head body 14a side toward the hose 16 side.

The water faucet device 13 switches the water discharge from the water discharge section 13a on and off, and also switches the water discharge from the shower head 14 on and off. The water faucet device 13 also has, for example, a function for adjusting the temperature of the water discharged from the water discharge section 13a or the shower head 14, and a function for adjusting the flow rate of the water discharged from the water discharge section 13a or the shower head 14.

The faucet device 13 extends in the left-right and front-back directions, and has a shelf-shaped upper surface 13b on which items such as shampoo bottles can be placed. In this way, the faucet device 13 functions as a faucet that dispenses water, and also functions as a counter on which items can be placed. In other words, the faucet device 13 is a faucet counter. This can improve the usability of the bathroom 2. However, the faucet device 13 does not necessarily have to be shelf-shaped. The faucet device 13 can be any faucet device that has at least the function of switching the water discharge from the water discharge portion 13a and the shower head 14 on and off.

The shower bar device 10 is provided, for example, in the left-right direction between the water faucet device 13 and the bathtub. This makes it easier to use the shower bar 20 as a handrail when moving between the bathtub and the washing area floor.

The mirror 15 is attached to the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11 above the faucet device 13. The mirror 15 extends, for example, in the vertical direction and is attached to the wall surface 11a alongside the shower bar device 10 in the horizontal direction. This allows the user to see their own appearance whether they are seated in front of the faucet device 13 or standing up and showering with water sprayed from the shower head 14. The mirror 15 can be provided in the bathroom 2 as needed and is optional.

As shown in Figures 2, 3(a) and 3(b), the shower hook 22 of the shower bar apparatus 10 has a holding portion 30 that removably holds the shower head 14, and further has a hook body 32, an attachment portion 34 and a locking mechanism 36.

The hook body 32 extends horizontally. In other words, the hook body 32 extends in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the shower bar 20. Note that the extension direction of the hook body 32 is not limited to a strictly horizontal direction. The extension direction of the hook body 32 only needs to have at least a horizontal component.

The holding part 30 is provided on one end side of the hook body 32. The holding part 30 is, for example, a substantially U-shaped member having a recess 30a that corresponds to the shape of the handle part 14b of the shower head 14. The holding part 30 detachably holds the shower head 14 by inserting the tapered handle part 14b of the shower head 14 from above into the recess 30a and engaging the handle part 14b with the recess 30a.

The hook body 32 supports the holding part 30 so that it can rotate around a horizontal axis. The hook body 32 also has a latch mechanism 38 for holding the holding part 30 at a specified rotation angle. This allows the angle of the shower head 14 to be adjusted around the horizontal axis. For example, it is possible to adjust the water discharge from the shower head 14 to be directed downward or slightly forward.

The latch mechanism 38 has, for example, a plunger 38a and a coil spring 38b. The plunger 38a is provided inside the hook body 32 so as to be movable in the front-rear direction. The coil spring 38b biases the plunger 38a forward.

The holding part 30 has multiple grooves 30b on the back side for adjusting the rotation angle. The plunger 38a is provided between the holding part 30 and the coil spring 38b, and is pressed against the holding part 30 by the biasing force of the coil spring 38b, thereby engaging with one of the multiple grooves 30b provided on the back side of the holding part 30.

In this way, the rotation angle of the holding part 30 is maintained by the engagement between the groove 30b and the plunger 38a. Then, by applying force to the holding part 30 and rotating the holding part 30 against the biasing force of the coil spring 38b, and engaging the plunger 38a with another groove 30b, the rotation angle of the holding part 30 can be adjusted. In other words, the water discharge angle of the shower head 14 can be adjusted.

The configuration of the latch mechanism 38 is not limited to the above configuration. The latch mechanism 38 may be configured in any way that can hold the holding portion 30 at a predetermined rotation angle.

The mounting portion 34 is used for attachment to the shower bar 20. The shower hook 22 is attached to the shower bar 20 via the mounting portion 34. The mounting portion 34 is provided, for example, on the other end side (opposite the holding portion 30) of the hook body 32. The mounting portion 34 is, for example, a through-hole shape corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the shower bar 20. The shower hook 22 is attached to the shower bar 20 by inserting the shower bar 20 into the mounting portion 34. The shape of the mounting portion 34 is not limited to a through-hole shape, and may be, for example, a groove shape. The shape of the mounting portion 34 may be any shape that allows the shower hook 22 to be attached to the shower bar 20.

The locking mechanism 36 is a mechanism for holding the shower hook 22 at any vertical position relative to the shower bar 20. The locking mechanism 36 has, for example, a movable part 40 and a coil spring 42.

The movable part 40 is supported by the hook body 32 so that it can move up and down. This allows the movable part 40 to move between the initial position shown in FIG. 3(a) and the pressed position shown in FIG. 3(b). The pressed position is a position where it is pressed downward from the initial position.

The coil spring 42 biases the movable part 40 upward. The movable part 40 is biased by the coil spring 42 and engages with the hook body 32, thereby being held in the initial position.

The movable part 40 has an operating part 40a. When the movable part 40 is held in the initial position, the operating part 40a protrudes upward from the hook body 32. The movable part 40 moves from the initial position to the pressed position by pressing the operating part 40a and pushing it downward against the biasing force of the coil spring 42.

When the movable part 40 is in the initial position, a portion of it enters the mounting part 34 and comes into contact with the shower bar 20 inserted through the mounting part 34. The movable part 40 presses the shower bar 20 with the biasing force of the coil spring 42, and sandwiches the shower bar 20 together with the mounting part 34. As a result, when the movable part 40 is in the initial position, the shower hook 22 is held at a predetermined position in the vertical direction relative to the shower bar 20 by the frictional force caused by the pressing of the shower bar 20.

The movable part 40 has, for example, an elastic body 44. The elastic body 44 is made of, for example, rubber. The coefficient of friction of the elastic body 44 is greater than the coefficient of friction of the main body of the movable part 40, which is made of a hard resin material such as plastic. When the movable part 40 is in the initial position, the elastic body 44 is inserted into the mounting part 34, thereby bringing the elastic body 44 into contact with the shower bar 20. This increases the frictional force generated between the movable part 40 and the shower bar 20, and more reliably holds the vertical position of the shower hook 22.

When the movable part 40 moves from the initial position to the pressing position, it moves downward and also moves in a direction away from the mounting part 34. The movable part 40 moves in a direction away from the mounting part 34, for example, by sliding obliquely with respect to the axial direction of the mounting part 34.

When the movable part 40 moves from the initial position to the pressing position, it retracts from the mounting part 34. When the movable part 40 moves from the initial position to the pressing position, it retracts the elastic body 44 from the mounting part 34. As a result, when the movable part 40 moves from the initial position to the pressing position, it releases the shower bar 20 from the clamped state together with the mounting part 34. Therefore, when the movable part 40 is moved to the pressing position, it becomes possible to move the shower hook 22 in the vertical direction along the shower bar 20.

In this way, the vertical position of the shower hook 22 can be adjusted by grasping the hook body 32 and pressing the operating part 40a to move the movable part 40 to the pressed position. Then, by releasing the pressure on the operating part 40a and moving the movable part 40 to the initial position, the shower hook 22 can be held in the adjusted position. This allows the shower hook 22 to be positioned at any vertical position relative to the shower bar 20. Therefore, with the shower bar device 10, the shower head 14 can be positioned at the height preferred by the user.

The configuration of the locking mechanism 36 is not limited to the above, but may be any configuration that can hold the shower hook 22 at any position in the vertical direction relative to the shower bar 20.

4(a) and 4(b) are side views that diagrammatically show a shower bar device according to an embodiment.
Fig. 4(a) is a schematic representation of the shower hook 22 in the uppermost position relative to the shower bar 20. Fig. 4(b) is a schematic representation of the shower hook 22 in the lowermost position relative to the shower bar 20. For convenience, the hose 16 is omitted from Fig. 4(a) and Fig. 4(b).

As shown in Figures 4(a) and 4(b), the shower bar 20 has a bar body 50, an upper support portion 52, and a lower support portion 54. The bar body 50 is rod-shaped and extends in the vertical direction. The bar body 50 is, for example, rod-shaped. The shower bar device 10 is attached to the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11 with the rod-shaped bar body 50 approximately vertical when viewed from the front side, for example.

However, the shower bar device 10 may be attached to the wall surface 11a with the bar body 50 tilted to the left or right when viewed from the front side. The bar body 50 only needs to be attached to the wall surface 11a in a state where it extends at least in the vertical direction. The minor angle between the extension direction of the bar body 50 and the vertical direction is, for example, 45° or less. This allows the vertical position of the shower hook 22 to be appropriately adjusted.

The mounting portion 34 of the shower hook 22 is, for example, a through-hole with a substantially circular cross section that corresponds to the round bar-shaped bar body 50. This allows the shower hook 22 to be attached to the shower bar 20 so that it can slide up and down and rotate horizontally around the shower bar 20 as an axis. In the shower bar device 10, water is not limited to being discharged from the shower head 14 only forward, but can also be discharged diagonally to the right or left by rotating the shower hook 22. This can further improve the usability of the shower bar device 10.

The configuration for allowing the shower hook 22 to rotate around the shower bar 20 is not limited to the above and may be any configuration. The cross-sectional shape of the bar body 50 and the mounting portion 34 does not necessarily have to be circular.

The upper support portion 52 supports the upper end of the bar body 50. One end of the upper support portion 52 is attached to the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11. The upper support portion 52 extends forward from the wall surface 11a, and supports the upper end of the bar body 50 at the other end. The lower support portion 54 supports the lower end of the bar body 50. One end of the lower support portion 54 is attached to the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11. The lower support portion 54 extends forward from the wall surface 11a, and supports the lower end of the bar body 50 at the other end.

The bar body 50 is held away from the wall surface 11a by the upper support part 52 and the lower support part 54. This allows the shower hook 22 to be attached to the bar body 50 so that it can slide up and down and rotate horizontally around the shower bar 20, and also makes it easy to grip the bar body 50 as a handrail.

The length of the lower support portion 54 in the front-rear direction is longer than the length of the upper support portion 52 in the front-rear direction. In other words, the amount by which the lower support portion 54 protrudes forward from the wall surface 11a is greater than the amount by which the upper support portion 52 protrudes forward from the wall surface 11a. As a result, the upper support portion 52 and the lower support portion 54 support the bar body 50 so that the lower end side is positioned further forward than the upper end side.

By supporting the bar body 50 as described above, the shower bar 20 moves the holding portion 30 forward as the shower hook 22 moves downward. In other words, the shower hook 22 moves forward as it moves downward. In this specification, "forward" refers to the direction in which the wall surface 11a of the wall panel 11 faces.

The bar body 50 is curved, for example, so as to be convex toward the front side. This allows the bar body 50 to be supported so that the lower end side is positioned further forward than the upper end side. Also, the lower end side of the bar body 50 is closer to vertical than the upper end side of the bar body 50, and the bar body 50 is curved so as to move rearward as it moves upward. This allows the shower bar 20 to increase the amount of rearward movement of the holding part 30 according to the unit height as the shower hook 22 moves upward. In other words, by curving the bar body 50 as described above, the amount of forward and backward movement accompanying the up-down movement of the shower hook 22 can be reduced on the lower side of the bar body 50 compared to the upper side of the bar body 50.

Also, as shown in FIG. 4(a), when the shower hook 22 is positioned at the uppermost position relative to the shower bar 20, the holding portion 30 is positioned forward of the lower end 20a of the shower bar 20.

As described above, the shower hook 22 is attached to the shower bar 20 so that it can slide up and down and rotate around the shower bar 20. The holding part 30 is located forward of the lower end 20a of the shower bar 20 when the shower hook 22 is positioned at the uppermost position and the shower hook 22 is rotated so that the holding part 30 is located in front of the shower bar 20. Here, "the holding part 30 is located in front of the shower bar 20" means, in other words, that the holding part 30 overlaps with the shower bar 20 when viewed from the front side.

5(a) and 5(b) are side views that typically show a bathroom according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in Fig. 5(a), the holder 30 is located rearward of the front end 12b of the bathroom counter 12 when the shower hook 22 is positioned at the uppermost position relative to the shower bar 20. For convenience, the hose 16 is not shown in Figs. 5(a) and 5(b).

When the shower hook 22 is positioned at the uppermost position relative to the shower bar 20 and rotated so that the holding part 30 is positioned in front of the shower bar 20, the holding part 30 is positioned behind the front end 12b of the washbasin counter 12.

As shown in FIG. 5(b), the holding portion 30 is located rearward of the front end 12b of the vanity counter 12 even when the shower hook 22 is positioned at the lowest position relative to the shower bar 20. The holding portion 30 is located rearward of the front end 12b of the vanity counter 12 even when the shower hook 22 is positioned at the lowest position relative to the shower bar 20 and the shower hook 22 is rotated so that the holding portion 30 is positioned in front of the shower bar 20.

When the user is seated on a chair or the like installed in the bathroom 2, the upper half of the body is positioned further away from the shower bar 20 than when the user is standing (see FIG. 5). According to the bathroom 2 and shower bar device 10 of this embodiment, the shower bar 20 moves the holding part 30 forward as the shower hook 22 faces downward. Therefore, when the user is seated on a chair or the like and uses the shower bar 20 with the shower hook 22 facing downward, the holding part 30 that holds the shower head 14 moves forward compared to when the shower hook 22 faces upward. This allows the shower head 14 to be brought closer to the upper half of the user's body that has moved backward by sitting on a chair or the like, and as shown in FIG. 5(b), by rotating the holding part 30 and adjusting the water discharge angle of the shower head 14, it is easier to hit the upper half of the seated user's body with water. This allows the user to shower comfortably while seated.

In addition, when the user stands up, the holding part 30 that holds the shower head 14 moves backwards compared to when the shower hook 22 is in a lower position. This prevents the shower head 14 from getting too close to the upper body of the user that moves forward when the user stands up from a seated position on a chair, as shown in FIG. 5(a). This makes it easier for water to hit the upper body of the user when the user stands up from a seated position on a chair, and allows the user to shower comfortably. For example, by rotating the holding part 30 to adjust the water discharge angle of the shower head 14, water can be discharged from above the user toward the entire body of the user, like an overhead shower. This makes it possible to provide a shower bar device 10 that allows the user to shower more comfortably whether the user is seated on a chair or standing up.

In addition, in the bathroom 2 and shower bar device 10, the shower bar 20 increases the rearward movement of the holding part 30 according to the unit height as the shower hook 22 moves upward. This makes it possible to prevent the holding part 30 from moving back and forth more than necessary when fine-tuning the height of the shower hook 22 in the "shower hook 22 is in the downward position" used by the user while seated on a chair, etc., and makes it easier to adjust the height of the shower hook 22. In addition, by increasing the rearward movement of the holding part 30 in the "shower hook 22 is in the upward position" used by the user while standing up, it is possible to more appropriately prevent the shower head 14 from getting too close to the upper half of the user's body that moves forward when standing up from a seated position on a chair, etc.

In addition, in the bathroom 2 and shower bar device 10, the holding portion 30 is positioned forward of the lower end 20a of the shower bar 20 when the shower hook 22 is positioned at the uppermost position. This prevents the lower end 20a of the shower bar 20 from getting in the way and making it difficult to grasp the shower head 14 held by the holding portion 30, even when the shower hook 22 is positioned at the uppermost position. In addition, when the user uses the shower while standing, the lower end 20a of the shower bar 20 is prevented from getting in the way, allowing the user to shower comfortably in a comfortable position.
