Description

The present invention relates to a packaging box.

It is known that heavy items are stored in packaging boxes and transported. The stored items are sometimes used in an unpackaged state.

An example of this type of packaging box is disclosed in Patent Document 1, which discloses a packaging box in which the top flap is designed not to return.

However, the invention described in Patent Document 1 does not have a structure to assist in carrying the packaging, so there is a risk that the packaging box may not be easily moved when opened.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a packaging box that is designed to be easily moved when opened.

One aspect of the present invention is a packaging box having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a cylindrical body portion located between the top surface and the bottom surface. The body portion has a pair of first side surfaces (left and right) and a pair of second side surfaces (front and back). The top surface is composed of a pair of first flaps (left and right) connected to the upper ends of the first side surfaces and a pair of second flaps (front and back) connected to the upper ends of the second side surfaces. The first side surfaces have a hand hole, and the first flaps have fixing flaps that can be inserted into and fitted into the hand hole.

According to the present invention, by engaging the fixing flap with the hand hole, it is possible to fix the top flap so that it does not return when the packaging box is opened, and since the fitting portion also serves as a handle, the packaging box can be easily moved when opened.

The present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a packaging box 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention after opening. Figure 2 is a perspective view of a packaging box 1 according to this embodiment during transportation before opening. Figure 3 is a perspective view of the top surface of the packaging box according to this embodiment after opening. The packaging box 1 according to this embodiment, as will be described in detail below, is transported while containing heavy items. The user opens the packaging box 1, fits the fixing flaps 21b, 23b on the outer flaps 21, 23 into parts of the hand hole portions 11c, 13c having flaps (hereinafter also referred to as hand hole flaps) formed on the first side portions 11, 13, folds the fold-in portions 31, 32 outward, and uses the packaging box 1 while maintaining its opened state.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the packaging box 1 has a top and bottom surface that are parallel and facing each other in the vertical direction, and a cylindrical body portion located between the top and bottom surface. The body portion has a pair of first side surface portions 11, 13 that are parallel and facing each other in the left-right direction, and a pair of second side surface portions 12, 14 that are parallel and facing each other in the front-to-back direction and perpendicular to the first side surface portions 11, 13. The top surface portion also has a pair of outer flaps 21, 23 that are connected to the first side surface portions 11, 13, respectively, and a pair of inner flaps 22, 24 that are located inside the outer flaps 21, 23 and connected to the second side surface portions 12, 14, respectively.

The top surface is composed of a pair of first outer flaps 21, 23 connected to the first side surfaces 11, 13 at their upper edges, the fifth and seventh lines L5 and L7, and a pair of first inner flaps 22, 24 located inside the first outer flaps 21, 23 and connected to the second side surfaces 12, 14 at their upper edges, the sixth and fourth lines L6 and L4. As described below, when the packaging box 1 is assembled, the first inner flaps 22, 24 are butted against each other at their free edges, overlapping with the first outer flaps 21, 23 and the first inner flaps 22, 24. The top surface is formed by sealing the first outer flaps 21, 23 and the first inner flaps 22, 24 together using an adhesive such as hot melt. By butting the free end edges of the first inner flaps 22, 24 together, the packaging box 1 can be strong during transportation. In this embodiment, the first outer flaps 21, 23 and the first inner flaps 22, 24 are sealed together by bonding with an adhesive or the like, but this is not limiting; the free end edges of the first outer flaps 21, 23 may also be butted together and sealed with tape or the like.

The bottom surface (not shown) is composed of a pair of second outer flaps 25, 27 connected to the first side surfaces 11, 13 at their lower edges, the fifth and seventh lines L5 and L7, and a pair of second inner flaps 26, 28 located inside the second outer flaps 25, 27 and connected to the second side surfaces 12, 14 at their lower edges, the fourth and sixth lines L4 and L6. As with the top surface, the second inner flaps 26, 28 are butted together at their free edges, overlapping with each other. The bottom surface is formed by sealing the second outer flaps 25, 27 and the first inner flaps 22, 24 together with an adhesive such as hot melt. In this embodiment, the second outer flaps 25, 27 and the second inner flaps 26, 28 are sealed together by applying an adhesive or the like, but this is not limiting; the free ends of the second outer flaps 25, 27 may be butted together and sealed with tape or the like.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, in the packaging box 1, the first side portions 11, 13 have hand holes 11c, 13c, and the first outer flaps 21, 23 on the top surface have fixing flaps 21b, 23b and fixing flap openings 21c, 23c. Furthermore, the packaging box 1 is inserted into the first side portions 11, 13 connected to the first outer flaps 21, 23 so that the fixing flaps 21b, 23b fit into the hand holes 11c, 13c. Hand hole flaps 11b, 13b are formed in the hand holes 11c, 13c. Forming flaps in the hand holes 11c, 13c prevents dust and other particles from entering the packaging box 1 during transportation. In this embodiment, hand hole flaps 11b, 13b are formed in the hand holes 11c, 13c, but this is not limited thereto, and the packaging box may have only hand holes. Additionally, the fixing flap openings 21c, 23c are formed to correspond to the hand holes 11c, 13c. Specifically, the distance from the fifth score line L5 and the seventh score line L7 to the opening flap openings 21c, 23c is the same as the distance from the fifth score line L5 and the seventh score line L7 to the hand holes 11c, 13c. This allows the fixing flaps 21b, 23b to be inserted so as to fit into the hand holes 11c, 13c when the first outer flaps 21, 23 and the first side surface portions 11, 13 come into contact, as shown in FIG. 1.

Figure 4(a) is an enlarged view of IVa of the packaging box in Figure 1, and Figure 4(b) is a cross-sectional view taken along line IVb-IVb in Figure 4(a). The fixing flaps 21b, 23b are composed of fold lines L21a, L23a parallel to the fifth and seventh line L5 and L7 of the first outer flaps 21, 23, and cut lines L21c, L23c connected to both ends of the fold lines L21a, L23a and located on the free edge side of the first outer flaps 21, 23, and have at least one fitting portion 21a, 23a on the cut line side. In this embodiment, the fixing flaps 21b, 23b are formed with a pair of cut lines L21b, L23b (see Figure 2) to facilitate insertion into the hand holes 11c, 13c, as described below. In this embodiment, the fixing flaps 21b, 23b also have a pair of fitting portions 21a, 23a (see Figure 1).

Hand hole flaps 11b, 13b are formed on the first side surfaces 11, 13 by fold lines L11a, L13a and cut lines L11b, L13b. Hand hole flaps 11b, 13b are formed by inserting hand hole flaps 11b, 13b into the inside of the packaging box 1. Hand hole flaps 11c, 13c are formed at positions where fastening flaps 21b, 23b can be inserted by folding the first outer flaps 21, 23 outward. Hand hole flaps 11c, 13c are formed in rounded rectangular shapes. For example, fold line L23a of fastening flap 23b and fold line L13a of hand hole flap 13b are formed at positions the same length from the seventh score line. This makes it easier to fold the first outer flap 21 outward and insert fastening flap 21b into hand hole 11c. Similarly, the fold line L21a of the fixed flap 21b and the fold line L11a of the hand hole flap 11b are also formed at the same distance from the fifth score line L5.

The second side portions 12, 14 and the first inner flaps 22, 24 each have a fold-in portion 31, 32 where a pair of cut lines L31, L32 are formed from the second side portions 12, 14 to the first inner flaps 22, 24 (see Figure 1, etc.). These fold-in portions 31, 32 fold the first inner flaps 22, 24 outward, thereby fixing the first inner flaps 22, 24 in the folded state. This prevents the first inner flaps 22, 24 from naturally returning inward. While the present embodiment has fold-in portions, this is not limiting and any other method may be used as long as the first inner flaps 22, 24 are prevented from returning inward.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the packaging box 1 is opened, the first outer flaps 21 and 23 are folded outward, and the fixing flaps 21b and 23b are inserted into the hand holes 11c and 13c, where they are fitted by the fitting portions 21a and 23a, securing the first outer flaps 21 and 23, respectively, to the state shown in Figure 1. The user can then insert their hands through the fixing flaps and move the product easily.

The packaging box 1 of this embodiment is formed from the blank sheet shown in Figure 5. Figure 6 is an enlarged view of VI of the blank sheet in Figure 5.

This blank sheet has a rectangular first surface portion (first side surface portion) 11 that forms the side portion of the packaging box 1, and a rectangular second surface portion (second side surface portion) 12 that is connected to the first surface portion 11 via a second score line L2 that is parallel to the first score line L1. It also has a rectangular third surface portion (third side surface portion) 13 that is connected to the second surface portion 12 via a third score line L3 that is parallel to the second score line L2. It also has a rectangular fourth surface portion (fourth side surface portion) 14 that is connected to the first surface portion 11 via the first score line L1. Therefore, the surfaces are connected in the order of the fourth surface portion 14, first surface portion 11, second surface portion 12, and third surface portion 13. Furthermore, a joint margin 15 is connected to the fourth surface portion 14 via an eighth score line L8 that is parallel to the first score line L1. In the present invention, the joint 15 is connected to the fourth surface portion 14, but it may also be connected to the third surface portion 13.

The first flap (first outer flap) 21 and the first flap (second outer flap) 25 are connected to the first surface portion 11 via a pair of parallel fifth lines L5 extending perpendicular to the first line L1. The second flap (first inner flap) 22 and the second flap (second inner flap) 26 are connected to the second surface portion 12 via a pair of parallel sixth lines L6 extending perpendicular to the second line L2. The third flap (first outer flap) 23 and the third flap (second outer flap) 27 are connected to the third surface portion 13 via a pair of parallel seventh lines L7 extending perpendicular to the third line L3. Furthermore, a fourth flap (first inner flap) 24 and a fourth flap (second inner flap) 28 are connected to the fourth surface portion via a pair of parallel fourth lines L4 that extend perpendicular to the first lines L1.

Of the pair of first flaps 21, 25, the first flap 21 has a fixed flap 21b, which is formed by a fold line L21a and a cut line L21c, and has a pair of fitting portions 21a on the free end edge L21 side of the first flap 21. Note that in this embodiment, there is a pair of fitting portions 21a, but this is not limited to this, and there may be one fitting portion 21a, or three or more fitting portions 21a. The fold line L21a is located a predetermined distance away from the fifth score line L5.

The first surface portion 11 has a hand hole flap 11b, which is formed by a fold line L11a and a cut line L11b. The fold line L11a is located a predetermined distance away from the fifth score line L5, the same distance as the distance from the fifth score line L5 to the fold line L21a.

Of the pair of third flaps 23, 27, the third flap 23 has a fixed flap 23b. The fixed flap 23b is formed by a fold line L23a and a cut line L23c, and has a pair of fitting portions 23a on the free end edge L23 side of the third flap 23. Note that in this embodiment, there is a pair of fitting portions 23a, but this is not limited to this, and there may be one fitting portion 23a, or three or more fitting portions 23a. The fold line L23a is located a predetermined distance away from the seventh score line L7.

The third surface portion 13 has a hand hole flap 13b, which is formed by a fold line L13a and a cut line L13b. As shown in Figure 6, the fold line L13a is located a predetermined distance D1 away from the seventh score line L7, which is the same distance as the distance D2 from the seventh score line L7 to the fold line L23a.

Of the pair of second flaps 22, 26, the second flap 22 has a fold-in portion 32 formed by a pair of cut lines L32 extending from the second surface 12 to the second flap 22. Furthermore, of the pair of fourth flaps 24, 28, the second flap 24 has a fold-in portion 32 formed by a pair of fold lines L31 extending from the fourth surface 14 to the fourth flap 24.

The packaging box 1 is formed by assembling the blank sheets shown in Figure 5. The third surface 13 and the joint margin 15 are joined where they overlap to form a rectangular shape. In the present invention, the joint margin 15 is overlapped on the outside of the third surface 13 so that it is exposed to the outside, but it may also be overlapped on the inside of the third surface 13 so that it is not exposed to the outside.

The first and third flaps 25, 27, and the second and fourth flaps 26, 28 are then folded, and the first and third flaps 25, 27 are overlapped with the second and fourth flaps 26, 28 so that the second and fourth flaps 26, 28 are on the inside. The first and third flaps 27 and the second and fourth flaps 26, 28 are then bonded and sealed with an adhesive such as hot melt to form a bottom surface. An item is then placed inside the container, and the first and third flaps 21, 23, and the second and fourth flaps 22, 24 are folded, and the first and third flaps 21, 23 are then bonded and sealed with an adhesive such as hot melt to form a top surface. The package is shipped in the state shown in Figure 2, and when in use, the user opens the top panel as shown in Figure 3. Then, as shown in Figure 1, the first outer flaps 21, 23 are folded outward, the fastening flaps 21b, 23b of the first outer flaps 21, 23 are inserted into the hand holes 11c, 13c of the first side panels 11, 13, and the fitting portions 21a, 23a are fitted into the hand holes 11c, 13c to secure the first outer flaps 21, 23. The user then folds the first inner flaps 22, 24 outward and folds the tucked-in portions 31, 32 outward to secure the first inner flaps 22, 24. This allows the user to use the package in the opened state, insert their hands through the fastening flaps 21b, 23b, and move the packaging box 1.

As described above, the first outer flaps 21, 23 can be used while fixed to the first side surfaces 11, 13, and because the mating portions double as handles, the packaging box can be easily moved when opened. Furthermore, the first outer flaps and the first side surfaces form a double structure, making it easy to move even heavy items.

In order to express the content of the present invention, a preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described above with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and includes modifications and improvements that would be obvious to a person skilled in the art based on the matters described in this specification.

Claims (4)

A packaging box having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a cylindrical body portion located between the top surface and the bottom surface,
The body portion has a pair of first side surface portions on the left and right and a pair of second side surface portions on the front and rear,
the top surface portion is composed of a pair of left and right first flaps connected to an upper end of the first side surface portion, and a pair of front and rear second flaps connected to an upper end of the second side surface portion,
the first side surface portion has a hand hole portion;
The first flap has a fixing flap that can be inserted into and fitted to the hand hole,
the fixing flap is composed of a folding line parallel to the crease of the first flap and a first cut line connected to both ends of the folding line and positioned on the free edge side of the first flap, and has at least one fitting portion on the side of the first cut line;
A packaging box according to claim 1, wherein the fixing flap has a pair of second cut lines formed thereon to facilitate insertion into the hand hole . The packaging box according to claim 1 , wherein the hand hole is formed in a rectangular shape with rounded corners. 3. The packaging box according to claim 2 , wherein a hand hole flap is formed in the hand hole. 4. The packaging box according to claim 3 , further comprising a fold-in portion formed by a pair of third cut lines extending from the second side surface portion to the second flap.
