Description

The present invention relates to buildings.

Patent Document 1 describes the construction of a semi-outdoor wooden deck between two buildings, with an outdoor balcony above the wooden deck. The wooden deck and outdoor balcony allow for barbecues and other activities to be held while switching between a semi-outdoor living space and an outdoor living space depending on the situation.

In Patent Document 1, the garden is laid out along the building, so the view of the garden does not change significantly even if a person changes their viewing position within the building.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to provide a home where you can enjoy changing garden views.

(1) The building of the present invention faces a first court where trees can be planted. The building has a balcony with a first section, a second section, and a third section facing the first court from three sides. The first section and the third section are connected via the second section. The building further has a dining kitchen with a first opening facing the first section and a second opening facing the second section, and a living room with a third opening facing the third section.

The first court allows the greenery created by the plantings to be enjoyed from different directions in various parts of the building, such as the balcony, dining kitchen, and living rooms.

(2) The building has the balcony, dining kitchen, and living room on each of the two or more floors.

The greenery created by the plantings can be enjoyed from different directions in various locations on the second and third floors.

(3) The space above the first court is an open-ceiling space that extends all the way to the top floor of the building.

The first and second rooms will have better sunlight and ventilation.

(4) The area of the first portion is larger than each of the second portion and the third portion.

Because the first section is close to the dining kitchen, it is easy for residents to carry meals to the first section (outdoors). The first section is relatively spacious, allowing multiple residents to enjoy meals outdoors.

(5) The third opening faces south.

The second room will get even more sunlight.

(6) The building is separated from the first court by the second living room and faces the second court, which can be planted with trees. The second living room has a fourth opening facing the second court.

The greenery from the trees planted on the second court can be enjoyed in the second living room. The third and fourth openings allow for good ventilation in the second living room.

(7) The building described in claim 6, wherein the second living space has no opening in the exterior wall extending between the first court and the second court.

It is difficult to see what is happening inside the second room from outside the building.

(8) The building comprises a Japanese-style room and a veranda located closer to the first court than the Japanese-style room and having a fifth opening facing the first court.

You can spend a comfortable time on the sunny veranda.

The following provides a detailed description of an apartment building 500 according to one embodiment of the present invention. The following embodiment is merely an example of the present invention, and it goes without saying that the embodiment can be modified as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

Each figure shows arrows X, Y, and Z that are perpendicular to each other. Arrow X indicates north-south. Arrow Y indicates east-west. Arrow Z indicates the vertical direction. In Figures 1 to 5, north is roughly to the right of the page, west is roughly toward the back of the page, and the top of the page is vertically upward.

[Overall configuration of apartment building 500]
1 to 5, apartment building 500 comprises building 100 constructed on site 300 facing north to road 200 running east to west. Building 100 is a roughly rectangular parallelepiped that is elongated from north to south, with one basement floor and three aboveground floors. Apartment building 500 is a three-family home in which three households, for example, a child's household, a parent's household, and a grandparent's household, live on different floors.

[Basement 1]
In Figure 1, the first basement floor is a common area for three households, and roughly comprises a driveway 10, a garage 11, an entrance lobby (hereinafter also referred to as "EL") 12, an elevator hall (hereinafter also referred to as "EH") 13, and a stairwell 14.

The driveway 10 is a space for getting on and off cars, located in the southwest corner of the site 300 and facing the road 200. The garage 11 is a built-in garage that connects to the road 200 via a slope 111 that runs north-south along the east side of the driveway 10. The garage 11 has parking spaces for, for example, eight cars. More specifically, three parking spaces are provided between EL12 and EH13, and another three spaces are provided north of the stairwell 14. The remaining two spaces are provided along the east exterior wall.

EL12 consists of an entrance and an adjacent hall. EL12 faces the driveway 10 from the north side via an automatic door, and faces the area near the south end of the garage 11 from the west side via another automatic door. EH13 is a boarding and disembarking space for the elevator (hereinafter also referred to as "EV") 131. EH13 is located north of EL12 and connects to the garage 11 from the west side via an automatic door. EV131 ascends and descends between the first basement floor and the rooftop. Stairwell 14 is adjacent to EH13 on the north side via a partition wall, and connects to the garage 11 from the west side via a door. Stairwell 14 is provided with stairs 141 to the first floor.

In addition to the above, the basement floor will also feature delivery boxes, newspaper boxes, meter boxes, garbage disposal areas, and bicycle parking spaces.

[1st floor]
In Figure 2, the first floor includes EH15 and stairwell 16. EH15 is located almost directly above EH13 (see Figure 1) and is a boarding and disembarking space for EV131. Stairwell 16 is located northwest of EH15 and is connected to EH15 via a door. Stairwell 16 is further adjacent to the west side of the elevator shaft for EV131 via a partition wall. Stairwell 141 from the first basement floor and stairwell 161 to the second floor are connected to stairwell 16.

The first floor includes, for example, a private area for the grandparents' household. This private area includes a shoe closet (hereinafter also referred to as "SC") 17, halls 18, 21, toilets 19, 24, living-dining-kitchen (hereinafter also referred to as "LDK") 20, veranda 22, Japanese-style room 23, master bedroom (hereinafter also referred to as "MBR") 25, washroom 26, bathroom 27, utility room (hereinafter also referred to as "UR") 28, and storerooms 29, 30.

SC17 is adjacent to the south side of stairwell 16 and to the west side of EH15 via a partition wall, and is connected to EH15 via a door. SC17 is equipped with storage furniture that can store not only shoes but also umbrellas, overcoats, etc. Residents and visitors (hereinafter also referred to as "residents, etc.") move between EH15 and SC17 while keeping their shoes on.

Hall 18 connects to EH15 in a location southwest of EH15, and connects to SC17 on the south side of SC17. From this point, hall 18 extends south and ends at toilet 19. Residents and others remove their shoes before entering hall 18 from EH15 or SC17.

LDK 20 includes a living room 201 and a dining kitchen (hereinafter also referred to as "DK") 202. Living room 201 is adjacent to the south side of EH 15 and the east side of hall 18 and toilet 19 via a partition wall, and is connected to hall 18 via a door. A sofa and a low table are installed in living room 201. DK 202 is located in the southwest corner of the first floor and is spatially continuous with living room 201 on its south side. In other words, there is no partition wall or door between living room 201 and DK 202. A kitchen set is located to the west of DK 202, and a dining set is located to the east of that. Living room 201 is an example of a living room.

A partition wall with openings 20A-20C is provided at the eastern end of living room 201 and dining room 202. Each of openings 20A-20C is fitted with a sliding sash window (hereinafter also referred to as a "large sash window") large enough for a person to pass through.

Deck 203 and court 31 are located in the southeast part of the first floor. Deck 203 juts out from roughly the bottom ends of openings 20A-20C, in a direction away from LDK 20 (specifically, east). Deck 203 has roughly rectangular sections 203A-203C. Sections 203A, 203B, and 203C are connected in this order from north to south. Section 203A connects to living room 201 through opening 20A. Section 203B connects to living room 201 through opening 20A, and connects to DK 202 through opening 20B. Section 203C connects to DK 202 through opening 20C.

In terms of the area of sections 203A to 203C, section 203C is the largest and section 203B is the smallest. Furthermore, the protruding end (i.e., the east end) of section 203B is closer to LDK 20 than sections 203A and 203C, and the protruding end of section 203A is farther from LDK 20 than sections 203B and 203C. Two chairs and a small table are placed in section 203A. An eight-person dining table and eight chairs are placed in section 203C. In other words, the first floor has an outdoor dining area in the southeast corner.

Hall 21 is connected to the northeast corner of living room 201 through an opening. Hall 21 extends north-south along the partition wall to the east of EH15, toilet 24, UR28, washroom 26, etc.

Veranda 22 connects to the south end of hall 21 from the east side through an opening, extends east along the north side of section 203A, and abuts the exterior wall. Veranda 22 and section 203A are separated by a partition wall with opening 22A. A large sash window is installed in opening 22A.

The Japanese-style room 23 is located on the east side of the hall 21 via a partition wall, and is connected to the north side of the veranda 22 via a shoji screen or similar. The east and north sides of the Japanese-style room 23 are separated by exterior walls 23A and 23B, respectively. Exterior wall 23A faces the outside of the site 300, and to ensure privacy, no opening is formed in exterior wall 23A. On the other hand, exterior wall 23B does not face the outside of the site 300, and an opening 23C is formed in exterior wall 23B. A sliding window is installed in opening 23C.

MBR 25 is located north of Japanese-style room 23, adjacent to the east side near the northern end of hall 21 via a partition wall. The east and south sides of MBR 25 are partitioned by exterior walls 25A and 25B, respectively. To ensure privacy, exterior wall 25A has no opening, while exterior wall 25B has opening 25C with a sliding window. Two beds are placed in MBR 25.

To the north of MBR 25, a storeroom 30 and walk-in closets (hereinafter referred to as "WICs") 251 and 252 are lined up in this order from west to east, separated by partitions. The storeroom 30 is connected to the hall 21 through an opening. WICs 251 and 252 are also connected to MBR 25 through openings. The washroom 26 is connected to the north end of the hall 21 via a door from the west, near the north end, and to the bathroom 27 via a door from the east. The washroom 26 is connected to the UR 28 via a door from the north. The northern ends of the hall 21, washroom 26, and bathroom 27 are each separated by a partition wall fitted with a large sash window. A deck 261 juts out north from near the bottom of each large sash window. The storeroom 29 is surrounded by the washroom 26, bathroom 27, UR 28, and stairwell 16, and is connected to the hall 21 through an opening.

The first floor is equipped with three courts 31-33, which are courtyards with planted trees. Vertically above courts 31-33, there are generally no structural elements of building 100 (ceilings, floors, eaves, etc.). Vertically above courts 31-33, there are open atrium spaces SW1-SW3 (see Figures 3-5, etc.) that run from the ground to the top third floor and are open upward. However, structures are permitted to protrude from building 100 into open atrium spaces SW1-SW3, provided that the condition of sufficient visibility of the sky from courts 31-33 is met. Court 31 is an example of a first court, and court 32 is an example of a second court. Open atrium space SW1 is an example of an open atrium space.

Court 31 is surrounded by deck 203 on three sides except the east side. Specifically, sections 203A, 203B, and 203C face court 31 from the south, west, and north. Court 32 is adjacent to Japanese-style room 23 from the south side, hall 21 from the west side, and MBR 25 from the south side. Court 32 is open to the east. Court 33 is located in the northeast corner of deck 261.

[Second floor]
On the second floor and above, sections (layouts) similar to those on the first floor are given the same reference symbols, and their descriptions will be simplified or omitted.

In Figure 3, the second floor includes EH15 and stairwell 34. Stairwell 34 is connected to stairwell 161 from the first floor and stairwell 341 to the third floor. The second floor includes, for example, an area exclusively for the parent household. This area differs from the area exclusively for the first floor in the following ways:

The combination of veranda 22 and Japanese-style room 23 (see Figure 2) on the first floor replaces BRs 35 and 36 shown in Figure 3. BR 35 is adjacent to the southern portion of hall 21 from the east, separated by a partition wall. BR 36 is located to the east of BR 35, separated by a partition wall. Corridor 211 branches off from near the center of hall 21 and extends east. BRs 35 and 36 are adjacent to the east side of corridor 211 and connect to corridor 211 via a door. BRs 35 and 36 are located north of portion 203A of second-floor balcony 204 (described below). BRs 35 and 36 are separated from portion 203A by partition walls in which openings 35A and 36A are formed. Large sash windows are installed in openings 35A and 36A. BRs 35 and 36 each contain a bed.

The east side of BR36 and the north side of corridor 211 are separated by exterior walls 36B and 36C on the second floor, respectively. As with the first floor, to ensure privacy, exterior wall 36B has no openings, while exterior wall 36C has opening 36D with a sliding window installed.

Decks 203 and 261 (see Figure 2) on the first floor are replaced by balconies 204 and 262 (see Figure 3), respectively. Compared to decks 203 and 261, balconies 204 and 262 differ only in safety specifications and in being located directly above decks 203 and 261, and have the same planar shape as decks 203 and 261. Therefore, components of balcony 204 that correspond to those of deck 203 are given the same reference numerals, and a detailed description of each will be omitted.

The combination of MBR 25, storeroom 30, and WICs 251 and 252 (see Figure 2) on the first floor is replaced by the combination of MBR 37 and WICs 371 and 372 (see Figure 3). In Figure 3, MBR 37 is located north of BRs 35 and 36, and to the east of hall 21, separated by a partition wall. The east and south sides of MBR 37 are separated by second-floor exterior walls 37A and 37B, respectively. To ensure privacy, exterior wall 37A has no opening, while exterior wall 37B has opening 37C with a sliding window. MBR 37 is equipped with two beds. To the north of MBR 37, WICs 371 and 372 are lined up in the order listed, from west to east, separated by a partition wall. WICs 371 and 372 are connected to MBR 37 through openings.

In addition, the storeroom 29 (see Figure 2) on the first floor will be replaced by a Japanese-style room 38 (see Figure 3).

[Third floor]
In Figure 4, the third floor includes EH15 and a stairwell 39. Stairwell 39 is connected to stairs 341 from the second floor and stairs 391 to the roof. The third floor includes an area exclusively for the children's household. This area differs from the area on the second floor in the following ways:

The combination of MBR 37 and WIC 371, 372 (see Figure 3) on the second floor replaces MBR 40, WIC 401, and balcony 402 (see Figure 4). WIC 401 is adjacent to the northern part of hall 21 from the east side via a partition wall. MBR 40 is adjacent to WIC 401 from the east side via a partition wall and connects to hall 21 via a passageway extending along WIC 401. WIC 401 connects to hall 21 and MBR 40 through openings and passageways. The east and south sides of MBR 40 are partitioned by exterior walls 40A and 40B on the second floor, respectively. Exterior wall 40A has no opening, but exterior wall 40B has an opening 40C with a sliding window attached. Two beds are placed in MBR 40. Balcony 402 is adjacent to the north side of MBR 40 and WIC 401, separated by a bulkhead and an opening with a sliding window. Balcony 402 is adjacent to the east side of open-ceiling space SW3, separated by a bulkhead.

[rooftop]
5, the rooftop is a space for guests and includes a stairwell 42 and an EH 43. The stairwell 42 is located directly above the stairwell 39 on the third floor and is connected to the EH 43 via a door at a position northwest of the EH 43. A staircase 391 leading from the third floor is connected to the stairwell 42.

A guest room 44, a washroom 45, a bathroom 46, a toilet 48, a kitchen 49, a storeroom 50, and a roof balcony 51 are located on the roof. The guest room 44 is located south of the stairwell 42 and EH 43. A sofa, a low table, and two beds are installed in the guest room 44. The washroom 45, the bathroom 46, the toilet 48, the kitchen 49, and the storeroom 50 are provided around the guest room 44. The roof balcony 51 is located directly above the portion 203A and the BRs 35 and 36, and is located between the open-ceiling spaces SW1 and SW2 in the north-south direction in a plan view. A plurality of chairs and tables are installed on the roof balcony 51.

[Major effects of the building 100]
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2 , the building 100 faces a court 31 with planted trees. As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4 , each of the first to third floors of the building 100 is provided with a deck 203 and a balcony 204 that face the court 31 from three sides except the east side. In the deck 203 and the balcony 204, sections 203A and 203C are connected to each other via section 203B. On each floor, the DK 202 has openings 20C and 20B in its partition wall that face sections 203C and 203B. The living room 201 has opening 20A that faces section 203A. Furthermore, the BRs 35 and 36 have openings 35A and 36A that face section 203A. Therefore, the greenery created by the planted trees on the court 31 can be enjoyed from different directions in various locations in the building 100, such as the deck 203, the balcony 204, the DK 202, the living room 201, and the BRs 35 and 36.

DK 202 on each floor is an example of a dining kitchen, and openings 20A, 20B, and 20C are examples of a third opening, a second opening, and a first opening. Living room 201 and BRs 35 and 36 on each floor are examples of living rooms. Deck 203 is an example of a deck, balcony 204 is an example of a balcony, and sections 203A, 203B, and 203C are examples of a third section, a second section, and a first section.

In this embodiment, the space above the court 31 is an open-ceiling space SW1, providing good sunlight and ventilation for the LDK 20 and balcony 204.

In this embodiment, section 203C is wider than sections 203A and 203B and is closer to DK 202. This makes it easier to carry food from DK 202 to section 203C, allowing a large group of people to easily enjoy a meal outdoors.

In this embodiment, on the second and third floors, BRs 35, 36 have south-facing openings 35A, 35B (another example of a third opening), allowing BRs 35, 36 to receive ample sunlight.

In this embodiment, building 100 is located north of court 31, separated by BRs 35 and 36, in a plan view, and also faces court 32 (an example of a second court), which is planted with trees. BRs 35 and 36 each face court 32 through north-facing opening 36D (an example of a fourth opening). Therefore, BRs 35 and 36 can also enjoy the greenery of the trees planted on court 32. Furthermore, because opening 36D faces openings 35A and 36A in the north-south direction, BRs 35 and 36 have good ventilation.

In this embodiment, to ensure privacy, the exterior wall 36B has no openings, making it difficult for the interior of the BRs 35 and 36 to be seen from outside the building 100 (i.e., the site 300).

In this embodiment, the veranda 22 and Japanese-style room 23 (an example of a veranda and Japanese-style room) are adjacent to portion 203A of the deck 203 on the first floor, allowing guests to spend a comfortable time on the sunny veranda 22 and Japanese-style room 23.

[Other effects]
Although three households of the same family live in the apartment building 500, privacy is still required among the members of the same family. In the apartment building 500, trees planted on the court 31 can block the line of sight between the part 203A, the living room 201, etc. and the part 203C, thereby ensuring privacy in these areas.

Enjoying the outdoor space on deck 203 or balcony 204 requires a moderate sense of openness. In apartment complex 500, although trees have been planted on court 31, people can still feel a sense of openness in sections 203A and 203C due to the spatial continuity with open-ceiling space SW1.

When planning the floor plan of a typical home, smooth traffic flow is extremely important. In apartment building 500, on each floor, people can move between sections 203A and 203C through section 203B. Therefore, when moving from one section 203A to the other, people do not need to pass through LDK 20. As a result, people can move between sections 203A and 203B without disturbing people spending time in LDK 20. In this way, section 203B provides smooth traffic flow on deck 203 and balcony 204.

Sunlight is extremely important when planning the floor plan of a typical home. In the apartment complex 500, the deck 203 and balcony 204 have sections 203A and 203C that sandwich the court 31 from the north and south, allowing a large amount of light to stream into the living/dining/kitchen area 20, veranda 22, and bedrooms 35 and 36.

[Modification]
In the embodiment, the LDK 20 and the balcony 204 that people can enter and exit through the openings 20A to 20C are provided on each of the second and third floors. However, this is not limiting, and the building 100 may be provided with the LDK 20 and the balcony 204 that people can enter and exit through the openings 20A to 20C on at least one of the second and third floors.
