Description

The present invention relates to an improved child seat cover that can cover almost the entire child seat fixed to the rear carrier of a bicycle.

The child car seat typically has a seat that is fixed to the rear carrier of the bicycle, foot rests on either side of the rear wheel of the bicycle, a headrest that can also slide up and down on the back of the seat, and a handle in front of the seat for the child to grasp.
Of course, there are also seats of this type in which the headrest is fixed and does not slide up and down.

There are various types of child car seat covers available on the market that can cover almost the entire seat except for the bottom of the seat. Some child car seats also have covers that do not cover the lower part of the back of the seat.
The invention described in Patent Document 1 below relates to a child bicycle seat cover previously proposed by the applicant of the present application, and its object is to provide a child bicycle seat cover that can be used in both summer and winter.

The design of this cover is such that it can cover almost the entire child seat, except for the bottom surface, of a child seat fixed to the front or rear of a bicycle, and all or part of the lower covering portion of the cover can be detachably attached to and separated from the cover. For example, the lower peripheral edge of the upper covering portion of the cover is attached to the upper part of the child seat, surrounding the front handle, both side edges, and back of the child seat, and the entire lower covering portion is made of a sheet-like body that can wrap around and cover the lower peripheral surface of the child seat, and the upper edge and both ends of this lower covering portion can be attached to the lower peripheral edge and back of the upper covering portion.

The object of the present invention is to provide a more user-friendly and convenient cover by further improving the above-mentioned conventional child seat covers that can be used all year round in both summer and winter.
Therefore, we focused on the convenience of getting children on and off the car, and our goal was to add some innovations to make it easier to get on and off or to lift and lower them.
The present invention is applicable to child seat covers other than those suitable for both summer and winter use.

To solve the above problems, the first aspect of the present invention is a child seat cover that can cover almost the entire child seat fixed to the rear carrier of a bicycle. The cover main body consists of a front, top, back, and both side sections, and a freely openable and closable engagement/separation section is provided at the boundary between at least the front section and both side sections or one of the side sections. In this child seat cover for bicycles, one end of a fully or partially stretchable belt member is connected to the front section in a position roughly corresponding to the saddle, and the other end is connected to a saddle support section. When the engagement/separation section is opened, the front section is pulled forward, widening the opening at the boundary between the front section and the side sections.

The second aspect of the present invention is a child bicycle seat cover according to the first aspect, characterized in that one end of the belt member is bifurcated and connected to two locations on the left and right sides of the front surface.

The third aspect of the present invention is a child bicycle seat cover according to the first or second aspect, characterized in that one end of the belt member is detachably attached to the front portion and the other end of the belt member is detachably attached to the saddle support portion.

The fourth aspect of the present invention is a child bicycle seat cover according to the second or third aspect of the present invention, characterized in that the belt member comprises two cover-side belts connected to the front portion, an elastic belt connected to these two cover-side belts, and a saddle-side belt connected to the elastic belts, the other end of which is connected to the saddle support portion, and at least the elastic belts are replaceable.

The fifth aspect of the present invention is a child seat cover that can cover almost the entire child seat fixed to the rear carrier of a bicycle. The cover main body consists of a front, top, back, and both side sections, and has an openable and closable engagement/separation section at the boundary between at least the front and both side sections or one of the side sections. One end of a fully or partially stretchable belt member is connected to the front section in a position roughly corresponding to the saddle, and the belt member is wrapped around or stretched over the saddle support section, with the other end connected to the front section in a position roughly corresponding to the saddle. When the engagement/separation section is released, the front section is pulled forward, widening the opening at the boundary between the front section and the side sections.

The sixth aspect of the present invention is a child bicycle seat cover according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, characterized in that the length of the belt member is adjustable.

The first aspect of the present invention is a child seat cover that can cover almost the entire child seat fixed to the rear carrier of a bicycle. The cover main body consists of a front, top, back, and both side sections, and a freely openable and closable engagement/separation section is provided at the boundary between at least the front and both side sections or one of the side sections. In various types of child seat covers, one end of a fully or partially stretchable belt member is connected to the front section in a position roughly corresponding to the saddle, and the other end is connected to the saddle support section. When the engagement/separation section is opened, the front section is pulled forward, widening the opening at the boundary between the front section and the side sections.

Therefore, when a child gets in and out of the seat, the entrance and exit portion is opened wide, which is very convenient.
This entrance/exit portion can be on either the left or right side of the cover.
The engagement/separation portion that opens this entrance/exit portion can be implemented, for example, by a slide fastener, and the lower end of the slide fastener as this engagement/separation portion may be connected or separated when opened.

In the second aspect of the present invention, one end of the belt member is bifurcated and connected to two locations on the left and right sides of the front surface, so that the boundary between the front surface and the side surface is kept open regardless of whether the left or right side of the front surface of the cover is opened.

In the third aspect of the present invention, one end of the belt member is detachably attached to the front portion, and the other end of the belt member is detachably attached to the saddle support portion, allowing the belt member to be separated and stored when the cover is removed.

In the fourth aspect of the present invention, the belt member is further limited.
In other words, this belt member is composed of two cover side belts connected to the front side of the cover main body, an elastic belt connected to these two cover side belts, and a saddle side belt connected to this elastic belt and whose other end is connected to the saddle support part, making at least the elastic belt replaceable.

This allows the elastic belt to be replaced with a new one when it becomes damaged or stretched, thereby maintaining its elasticity at an appropriate level.
This belt member is provided in a portion exposed to wind and rain, and is therefore prone to deterioration. It is designed to be easily replaced with a new one so that its effectiveness can be maintained.

In the fifth aspect of the present invention, the belt member is modified by connecting one end of a fully or partially stretchable belt member to a position on the front surface that corresponds approximately to the saddle, and then wrapping or hanging the belt member around the saddle support portion and connecting the other end to the front surface at a position that corresponds approximately to the saddle. This allows the front surface to be pulled forward when the engagement/separation portion is released, thereby widening the opening at the boundary between the front surface and the side surface.

In the sixth aspect of the present invention, the length of the belt member can be adjusted, making it possible to adjust the tension of the belt member and effectively pull the front portion of the cover forward.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram showing one embodiment of a child seat cover of the present invention, showing the child seat cover attached to a rear child seat of a bicycle with the window covering portion open.
FIG. 2 is an explanatory view showing a state in which the window covering portion in FIG. 1 is closed and the boundary portion between the front surface portion and the front side surface portion of the cover is open.
FIG. 3 is an explanatory view showing a state in which the front side surface portion in FIG. 2 is further opened rearward.

The child seat cover 10 according to the present invention can be attached to a child seat S (see FIG. 3) fixed to the rear carrier of a bicycle.
In order to make it easier to understand, Figure 3 does not clearly depict the entire child seat S, and the height position of the upper end of the headrest H provided at the upper end of the seat S is not accurate, but is shown conceptually.

The child seat cover 10 may be of a two-piece type consisting of an upper and lower part as shown in the drawings, or may be of a one-piece type in which the upper and lower parts cannot be separated.
In this embodiment, the cover is a two-piece type, upper and lower, for use in both summer and winter.

That is, the child seat cover 10 according to the present invention comprises a front portion 11, a top portion 12, a back portion 13, and side portions 14 on both the left and right sides.
As described above, the child seat cover 10 according to the present invention is made up of two pieces, an upper piece and an lower piece, and each surface is divided into an upper and a lower part.

That is, the front surface 11 consists of an upper front surface 11a and a lower front surface 11b, and the side surfaces 14 on both sides similarly consist of upper side surface 14a and lower side surface 14b.

A window section 20 is formed in the upper front surface 11a, and slide fasteners are provided all around both sides of the window section 20 and around the lower edge. By opening two sliders from the center of the lower end to the upper end, the window covering section 21 of the upper front surface 11a can be rolled up and folded upward as shown in Figure 1, forming a canopy section 21h at the upper end of the window section 20.

The window covering portion 21 is made of a transparent material such as PVC, and fastening hooks are used to fix the window covering portion 21 like the canopy portion 21h.
The side portions 14 on both sides are also provided with transparent windows 14t made of a transparent material such as PVC at the upper front portions thereof.

As described above, in the embodiment of the present invention, the child car seat cover 10 is formed of two parts, the upper cover part 10a and the lower cover part 10b.
Of course, the cover 10 may be a one-piece cover consisting of an upper and lower part.

Furthermore, in the above embodiment, a slide fastener is provided as an engagement/separation part at the boundary between the front surface 11 and the front side surface 14, and this boundary is formed so that it can be opened and closed freely. By opening this boundary, a child can be seated in the internal child seat S or removed from the seat S.

In this embodiment, as described above, the bag consists of two pieces, an upper and lower, and the opening and closing of the boundary is formed as follows:

The cover upper part 10a is provided with a slide fastener as an engagement/separation part at the boundary between the front upper part 11a and the side upper part 14a, and is formed so that it can be opened and closed by a slider.
From the state in which the boundary portion is closed as shown in FIG. 1, the slider S1 is moved upward to separate and open the upper front surface 11a and the upper side surface 14a (the state shown in FIGS. 2 and 3).
Next, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the slider S2 is moved from the upper end to the lower end, whereby the front lower portion 11b and the side lower portion 14b are separated and opened.

The lower edge of the boundary between the front lower part 11b and the side lower part 14b is shown connected in the illustration, but this part can be separated.

The upper cover 10a and lower cover 10b can be connected with multiple fastening hooks. The fastening hooks are indicated by small circles in the figure.

One end of a belt member 30, which is a characteristic feature of the present invention, is connected to the front surface 11 of the child seat cover 10 configured as described above at a position corresponding to the bicycle saddle.
This belt member 30 will be described in detail from Figure 4 onwards, but one end (the cover side end) is bifurcated, and the bifurcated end is connected to the front surface 11 of the cover 10, and the other end (the saddle support side end) is connected to a saddle support part such as a saddle post.

Since the belt member 30 is entirely or partially made of a stretchable material such as a rubber belt, a force is constantly acting to pull the front surface 11 of the cover 10 forward.
Therefore, when the boundary between the front surface 11 and the side surface 14 is separated and opened, the front surface 11 is pulled forward, and the opening area of the boundary becomes larger.

One end of the belt member 30 on the cover front side is formed into two branches in consideration of both the boundary parts between the front part 11 and both the left and right side parts 14, 14, and is designed so that the boundary part can be opened widely and satisfactorily no matter which side the boundary part is opened on.
The belt member will be described in detail below.

FIG. 4 is a partially cutaway overall explanatory view showing a state in which one end of the belt member according to the embodiment is connected to the front surface of the cover.
FIG. 5 is an overall explanatory view showing a state in which the other end of the belt member shown in FIG. 4 is fixed to a saddle support portion.
FIG. 6 is an overall explanatory view of the belt member shown in FIG. 5 in a state where one end side of the belt member is separated.

The belt member 30 used in this embodiment has the following configuration.
The belt member 30 consists of a connecting portion 31 connected to two locations on the left and right of the saddle-corresponding position on the front portion 11 of the cover, two cover-side belts 32 connected to this connecting portion 31, an elastic belt 33 connected to these two cover-side belts 32, 32, and a saddle-side belt 34 connected to this elastic belt 33 and at the other end of the belt member connected to the saddle support portion.

A female buckle 31b of a one-touch detachable male-female connecting buckle is connected to the tip of the connecting portion 31, and a male buckle 32b is provided at one end of the cover side belt 32, and these male and female buckles can be connected and disconnected with a single touch.
The male and female buckles may be provided on either side.

The elastic belt 33 is inserted into a D-ring 34d provided at one end of the saddle-side belt 34, and has adjuster buckles 33b, 33b provided at both ends thereof.
The other end of the cover-side belt 32 can be connected to these adjuster buckles 33b so that the length can be adjusted.

As mentioned above, one end of the saddle-side belt 34 is connected to the D-ring 34d, and the other end 34t of this saddle-side belt 34 can be wound around or wrapped around the bicycle's saddle support (seat post) and secured to the saddle support using a hook-and-loop fastener provided at the tip.

Figures 5 and 6 show the saddle-side belt 34 at the lower left, wound in a circle and fastened by a hook-and-loop fastener provided at the other end 34t. The bicycle saddle support is inserted into this circle, and in this state, it is fixed to the saddle support.
Therefore, the saddle-side belt 34 is also detachable from the saddle support portion.

With the belt member 30 having the above-described configuration, the saddle side belt 34 is wrapped around the saddle support portion and secured in place in advance, the elastic belt 33 is inserted into the D-ring 34D at the end of the saddle side belt 34, the other end of the cover side belt 32 is connected to the adjuster buckles 33b at both ends of the elastic belt 33 to adjust the length, and then the male buckle 32b at one end of the cover side belt 32 is connected to the female buckles 31b at the ends of each connecting portion 31, so that it can be mutually connected to the front portion 11 of the cover attached to the child seat.
Here, the male and female buckles may be arranged such that the male buckle 32b is provided on the cover side belt 32 and the female buckle 31b is provided on the connecting portion 31 side.

With the above-described configuration, the stretchable belt 33 of the belt member can be easily replaced, and the other cover-side belt and saddle-side belt can also be replaced with new ones.
In the present invention, at least the intermediate elastic belt 33 is made replaceable, so that a deteriorated one can be easily replaced with a new one.
Furthermore, in order to prevent deterioration of the elastic belt, a long, thin bag-like object can be created to cover the elastic belt, and the elastic belt can be inserted into the bag and used as a cover member.
This can prevent adverse effects of rain and the like.

Furthermore, the above-mentioned belt member can also be formed so that male buckles of a one-touch detachable male-female connecting buckle are attached to both ends of a single belt, and that they can be interconnected with female buckles provided at the tips of a pair of connecting portions 31 on the front portion 11 side of the cover.
The belt member used in this case may be a stretchable rubber belt or the like in whole or in part.
This makes it possible to more easily hang the belt member over the saddle support part by connecting one end of the belt member to one connecting part, winding the other end around the saddle support part, and then connecting it to the other connecting part after attaching the cover to the child seat.

Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention can be modified in various ways as follows.
The child seat cover according to the present invention is characterized by the belt member attached to the front portion thereof, and the shape of the cover itself can be freely modified in design.
For example, in the above embodiment, the cover is made of two pieces, top and bottom, but it may be one piece and not separated into top and bottom.

Furthermore, although the window covering portion of the window provided on the front surface is formed so that an eave is formed over the window when it is opened upward, this eave portion can also be omitted.
The position and size of the transparent window on the side can also be freely changed.

Various attachment means for attaching the cover to the seat can also be used.
For example, a circular elastic belt or a detachable belt may be provided on the inside of the rear portion of the cover to attach it to the headrest of the seat, or a separate attachment assist plate may be attached to the rear side of the headrest in advance, and then the attachment member provided on the rear side of this attachment assist plate may be engaged with the attachment member provided on the inside of the rear portion of the cover to attach it to the headrest.

The overall shape of the cover may be curved so that the top of the cover bulges outward as in the above embodiment, or the cover may be entirely in the shape of a vertically long box.
Of course, the size, shape and configuration can be freely changed.

Finally, the belt member may be made up of a plurality of parts as in the above embodiment, or may be made up of a single belt member.
In short, the effect of the present invention can be achieved as long as the entire or part of the belt member is stretchable.

As described above, the present invention provides a child seat cover that adds a belt member as a simple component, but by adding this belt member, it is possible to increase the size of the opening when the engagement/separation section located at the boundary between the front and side sections, which serves as the entrance and exit for the child, is separated and opened.

Claims (4)

A child seat cover that can cover almost the entire child seat fixed to the rear carrier of a bicycle, the cover body consisting of a front part, a top part, a back part and both side parts, and a freely openable and closable engagement and separation part provided at the boundary between at least the front part and both side parts or one of the side parts,
One end of a belt member, the whole or a part of which is stretchable, is connected to a position of the front surface that corresponds to the saddle, and the other end is connected to a saddle support portion. When the engagement/separation portion is opened, the front surface is pulled forward, and the opening width of the boundary between the front surface and the side surface is opened wider .
A bicycle child seat cover characterized in that one end of the belt member is bifurcated and connected to two locations on the left and right of the front part . 2. The bicycle child seat cover according to claim 1 , wherein one end of the belt member is detachably attached to the front portion, and the other end of the belt member is detachably attached to the saddle support portion. A bicycle child seat cover as described in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the belt member consists of two cover side belts connected to the front portion side, an elastic belt connected to these two cover side belts, and a saddle side belt connected to the elastic belt and whose other end is connected to the saddle support portion , and at least the elastic belt is replaceable. 4.
