Description

This disclosure relates to work clothing worn during work, particularly nursing or other care work.

Conventionally, in work performed on a 24-hour basis, a technology has been provided in which a part of the work clothing worn by the worker has a different color scheme from the rest of the work clothing in order to distinguish between day and night shifts.

JP 2023-62779 A (Patent Document 1) discloses a medical jacket with a flap that indicates work shifts. The medical jacket has a pocket and a flap. The flap can be stored in the pocket. The outer surface of the flap is colored a different color from the color of the jacket. When the flap is pulled out of the pocket, the outer surface of the flap with a different color scheme becomes visible. This makes it possible for others to distinguish between day and night shifts, as well as between working and non-working shifts, or between different duties, even from a distance.

However, flaps on pockets, as in the medical jacket of Patent Document 1, are widely used to open and close pockets on clothing. Therefore, although the medical jacket of Patent Document 1 can distinguish between day and night shifts using the flaps, in some cases it may simply be recognized as having flaps for opening and closing pockets.

The objective of this disclosure is to provide work clothing that allows for proper identification of day and night shifts, etc.

To solve the above problems, the present disclosure provides the following solution. Specifically, the work clothing of the present disclosure has protruding pieces formed on the outer surface of the work clothing, and tape that is reversible relative to the front and back surfaces of the protruding pieces. Both ends of the tape are fixed to the left and right ends of the protruding pieces, respectively.

The work clothing disclosed herein allows for proper identification of day and night shifts, etc.

(Configuration 1)
The work garment according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a protruding piece formed on the outer surface of the work garment, and a tape provided reversibly on the front and back surfaces of the protruding piece, with both ends of the tape fixed to the left and right ends of the protruding piece, respectively.

By attaching distinctive tape to a protruding piece formed on the outer surface of the workwear in a reversible manner, it is possible to properly distinguish between day and night shifts.

(Configuration 2)
In the work clothes of configuration 1, the protruding piece and the tape may have different colors, thereby enabling more appropriate distinction between day shifts and night shifts, etc.

(Configuration 3)
The work garment of configuration 1 or 2 may have a left front body section and a right front body section for opening and closing the front body section. The protruding piece may be formed at the upper corner of the opening and closing edge of either the left front body section or the right front body section. The upper end of the front body section is easily visible from the outside. This allows for more appropriate identification of day shifts and night shifts, etc.

(Configuration 4)
In the work garment of configuration 3, either the right front body section or the left front body section may be an upper front section. The protruding piece may be formed at the upper corner of the opening and closing end of the upper front section. This allows the tape to be provided in an easily visible position on the upper front section, making it possible to more appropriately distinguish between day shifts and night shifts.

(Configuration 5)
In the work garment of any one of configurations 1 to 4, the work garment may have a fastener for fastening the tip of the protruding piece to the outer surface of the work garment. The fastener may be positioned between the tip of the protruding piece and the tape. This makes it possible to prevent the tape from being unintentionally turned upside down.

An embodiment of the work garment 1 of the present disclosure will be described in detail below using Figures 1 to 7. Note that identical or corresponding components in the figures are given the same reference numerals, and the same description will not be repeated. Note that, to make the explanation easier to understand, the drawings referenced below show simplified or schematic configurations, and some components are omitted.

Workwear 1 is clothing, particularly clothing worn by people whose job involves medical or nursing care work. Workwear 1 may also be clothing worn by people whose job involves various types of work, such as those working in food factories or providing specific services.

As shown in Figure 1, the workwear 1 has a front body 2, a protruding piece 3, and a tape 4.

The front body 2 has a right front body 21 and a left front body 22. In this embodiment, the right front body 21 is the upper front part. One zipper F (see Figure 4) is attached in the vertical direction to the opening and closing end of the right front body 21, i.e., the point where the right front body 21 and the left front body 22 are closed. The other zipper (not shown) is attached to the opening and closing end of the left front body 22 in correspondence with the one zipper F. The front body 2 can be opened and closed by opening and closing one zipper F and the other zipper.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the protruding piece 3 is formed at the upper corner of the opening and closing end of the right front body 21. When the right front body 21 and the left front body 22 are closed, the protruding piece 3 forms part of the left collar of the front body 2. The protruding piece 3 is formed to protrude upward from part of the right front body 21. The protruding piece 3 has a tapered shape on its main surface toward its tip. That is, the width of the protruding piece 3 gradually decreases toward its tip. The protruding piece 3 is formed to protrude so that its main surface is approximately rectangular. However, the main surface of the protruding piece 3 may have another polygonal shape, or may be semicircular or semielliptical. In other words, the shape of the protruding piece 3 is not limited as long as the tape 4, described below, can be attached to the front and back surfaces of the protruding piece 3 in a reversible manner. Furthermore, the protruding pieces 3 are typically made from the same fabric as the front body 2, but in this embodiment, there are no particular restrictions on the material as long as they can be formed to protrude from the front body 2. However, the protruding pieces 3 are not limited to this and can be modified in various ways. Modified examples of the protruding pieces 3 will be described later.

As shown in FIG. 2, tape 4 is attached to protruding piece 3. Tape 4 extends transversely to the direction in which protruding piece 3 protrudes. Both ends of tape 4 are fixed to the ends of protruding piece 3. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, protruding piece 3 has outer fabric 31 and lining 32. Both ends of tape 4 can be positioned between outer fabric 31 and lining 32 at the left and right ends of protruding piece 3. Outer fabric 31 and lining 32 can be sewn together, sandwiching both ends of tape 4. Tape 4 attached to protruding piece 3 in this manner may be made of the same fabric as front body 2 of work garment 1, or may be made of a different fabric, such as a fabric with more elasticity than protruding piece 3 or a fabric with a laminated surface, or may be made of a resin material. In other words, the material of tape 4 is not particularly limited as long as it is a strip that can be reversed relative to the front and back surfaces of protruding piece 3, as described below.

As shown in Figure 4, the tape 4 can be inverted from the front to the back of the protruding piece 3 by sliding the tip of the protruding piece 3 under the tape 4, as indicated by arrow A. As described above, the tape 4 has a tapered shape on its main surface, making it easier to slide the tip of the protruding piece 3 under the tape 4, i.e., the tape 4 can be easily inverted. Although not specifically shown, as described above, both ends of the tape 4 are fixed to the left and right ends of the protruding piece 3. However, it is also possible to invert the tape 4 by fixing one end of the tape 4 to either the left or right end of the protruding piece 3 and rotating the other end of the tape 4 from the left or right direction of the protruding piece 3 around the one end of the tape 4 as an axis. In this case, the other end of the tape 4 can be fixed to the other of the left or right end of the protruding piece 3 using a fixing device such as a hook-and-loop fastener. In other words, the method of fixing the tape 4 is not particularly limited as long as it is attached to the protruding piece 3 so that it can be inverted relative to the front and back of the protruding piece 3.

As shown in Figure 4, the protruding piece 3 has a fastener 51. In this embodiment, the fastener 51 is a male snap button provided on the back surface of the protruding piece 3. The fastener 51 is provided closer to the tip of the protruding piece 3 than the tape 4 in the direction in which the protruding piece 3 protrudes. In other words, the fastener 51 is positioned between the tip of the protruding piece 3 and the tape 4.

As shown in FIG. 5 , the left front body 22 has a fastener 52 on its surface that corresponds to fastener 51. In this embodiment, fastener 52 is a female snap button that can be fastened by pressing a male snap button. The protruding piece 3 can be fastened to the outer surface of the left front body 22 using fasteners 51 and 52. By fastening the protruding piece 3 to the outer surface of the left front body 22 closer to the tip of the protruding piece 3 than the tape 4 in this way, it is possible to prevent the tape 4 from unintentionally turning over relative to the front and back surfaces of the protruding piece 3 while the wearer of the work garment 1 is working. To prevent the tape 4 from unintentionally turning over, the tape 4 may have a tapered shape on its main surface. Note that fasteners 51 and 52 are not limited to snap buttons, and any fasteners capable of fastening the protruding piece 3 to the outer surface of the work garment 1 will suffice.

By providing reversible tape 4 on the front and back of protruding piece 3 in this way, it is possible to properly distinguish between day shifts, night shifts, etc. For example, if tape 4 is placed on the front of protruding piece 3, it can be identified as a day shift, while if tape 4 is placed on the back of protruding piece 3, it can be identified as a night shift.

By forming a protruding piece 3 at the upper corner of the opening and closing end of the right front body 21, the tape 4 is easier to see from the outside, allowing for more accurate identification of day and night shifts. Furthermore, when putting on the work clothing 1, the wearer pulls up the zipper F from the bottom of the front body 2 toward the top. Once the zipper F is fully pulled up, the tape 4 and fastener 51 are located nearby, making it less likely that the wearer will forget to flip the tape 4 over and fasten the protruding piece 3 with the fastener 51. This allows for more reliable flipping of the tape 4, making it possible to more accurately identify shifts such as day and night.

Although not specifically shown, the tape 4 has a different color than the protruding pieces 3. The tape 4 may have a darker color than the protruding pieces 3, or a lighter color than the protruding pieces 3. This allows for more accurate identification of shifts such as day shifts and night shifts.

(Modification)
As shown in Figures 6 and 7, the protrusions 3 can be formed at various positions on the outer surface of the work garment 1. For example, as shown in Figure 6, even if the shape of the upper corners of the opening and closing end of the right front body 21 in the above-mentioned embodiment is different, the upper corners can be used as protrusions 3 and tape 4 can be attached in a reversible manner. Furthermore, the lower corners of the opening and closing end of the right front body 21 can be used as protrusions 3 and tape 4 can be attached. Furthermore, the corners of the collar 23 can be used as protrusions 3 and tape 4 can be attached. Slits 6 can be provided from the opening edges of the cuffs 24, etc., to form protrusions 3 and tape 4 can be attached. Furthermore, the pocket 25 can be sewn to the front body 2 so that the corner tips of the pocket 25 are movable, and the corner tips of the pocket 25 can be used as protrusions 3 and tape 4 can be attached.

As shown in Figure 7, the work garment 1 also has a back body 7. In the back body 7, the rear end of the collar 23 may be provided with a tape 4 as a protruding piece 3, or the tape 4 may be provided on a protruding piece 3 formed at the bottom end of the back body 7.

In the work clothing 1 of this embodiment, the right front body 21 is the upper front part, but the left front body 22 may also be the upper front part. Furthermore, the work clothing 1 is not limited to an openable front body 2, and may be non-openable. As long as protruding pieces 3 and tape 4 are formed on the outer surface of the work clothing 1 so that they are visible from the outside, there are no particular limitations on the shape or size of the work clothing.

Although the embodiments have been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above embodiments, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure.
