本腕金1は、アルミニウム合金の押出形材で形成したものであり、図1,4に示すように、上壁5と下壁6と一対の側壁7,7とを有する略正方形断面の筒状となっている。腕金1の電柱側4の側面には、上下2つの突片2,2が長手方向に沿って設けてある。上下の突片2,2は、上壁5、下壁6とそれぞれ面一状に形成されている。本腕金1は、上下の突片2,2をプレス加工等で切り欠くことで、平面視台形状の凹部3を形成してある。本腕金1は、図2(a)に示すように、突片2,2に形成された凹部3を電柱4と嵌合させることで、電柱4に対して位置決めできるようになっている。
腕金1の側壁7,7には、腕金1を電柱4に対して固定するためのボルト8,8が挿通される長孔9,9が長手方向に沿って形成してある。また本腕金1には、電線を受ける碍子等の機器(図示省略)を取付けるための取付孔が適宜形成される。

腕金1自体は、先に説明した図1~4に記載のものと同一であって、突片2に形成した凹部3に電柱4を嵌合することで位置決めして電柱4に取付けてある。腕金1には、図8,9に示すように、アンテナ取付用のブラケット14の後端部を上下の突片2,2間に長手方向にスライド自在に係合し、図示しないボルトでブラケット14を腕金1に固定してある。ブラケット14は、前部にアンテナ取付部15を有し、アンテナ取付部15にアンテナ13を当接してネジ(図示省略)で固定してある。ブラケット14は、アルミ形材で形成してある。
このように、腕金1の突片2,2間にアンテナ取付用のブラケット14を係合して取付けることで、アンテナ13を腕金1に施工性良く、安定して取付できる。ブラケット14を腕金1の長手方向にスライドさせてアンテナ13の取付位置を変更することも容易である。

以上に述べたように本腕金1は、アルミ形材で形成され、側面に複数の突片2,2が長手方向に沿って一体に設けてあり、突片2,2を切り欠くことで電柱4と嵌合する凹部3を形成してあるため、軽量な上に電柱4に対して位置決めでき、位置決め用の部品を溶接等で取付ける必要もないため、電柱4に施工性よく取付けできる。突片2が上下に間隔をおいて複数設けてあり、各突片2に凹部3を設けて電柱4と嵌合させることで、腕金1の傾きを規制できる。本腕金1は、アルミ形材を所定の長さに切断し、プレス加工により凹部3を形成するだけでよいため、製作が容易である。
また本腕金1は、アルミ形材で形成したことで、従来のスチール製のものよりも軽く、扱いやすい。また、アルミ形材製のため、耐候性に優れるため、維持費も抑えられコスト的にも有利である。
本腕金1は、凹部3の位置を変更することで、中留め取付けと片出し取付けの何れにも対応できる。
また本腕金1は、複数の突片2,2間に機器取付用のブラケット14を係合して取付けることで、機器(アンテナ)13を腕金1に施工性良く、安定して取付けることができる。
