Description

The present invention relates to an oven pot that can be placed on a barbecue grill.

Cooking covers (pots) for barbecue grills have been proposed in the past. Patent Document 1 describes the following as an example of prior art: The cooking cover described in Patent Document 1 comprises a frame, a top plate, and a suspension member. The frame is cylindrical and can be placed on a barbecue grill. One of the opposing parts of the frame has a first through hole, and the other has a second through hole. The top plate is arranged to cover the upper opening of the frame. The top plate has an opening through which a pot can be partially inserted. The suspension member is inserted into the first and second through holes below the opening in the top plate and is suspended from the frame. The suspension member is capable of supporting a pot inserted through the opening.

This type of cooking cover makes it possible to cook with a pot. The frame is placed on the barbecue grill. The pot is inserted through the opening in the top plate and supported by the hanging members. This allows the pot to be heated using the heat source of the barbecue grill. The pot is then inserted into the opening in the top plate. A cooking space is defined by the top plate, pot, and frame. Alternatively, the opening in the top plate can be closed with a lid. A cooking space is defined by the top plate, lid, and frame. Oven cooking can be performed within this cooking space. Furthermore, food can be hung or placed on the hanging members to perform steaming or smoking within the cooking space.

The frame can be configured with an opening through which ingredients can be inserted and removed. This type of cooking cover makes it easy to insert and remove ingredients from the cooking cover. However, while the cooking cover described in Patent Document 1 has an opening through which ingredients can be inserted and removed, there is no description of a structure for closing the opening. Since the cooking cover is expected to be used for cooking with the opening closed, a lid or similar is required. Even if a lid were provided as a component of the cooking cover, it would be time-consuming to attach and detach it from the frame. In particular, there are cases where it is necessary to attach the lid immediately after inserting ingredients through the opening, making the attachment and detachment process cumbersome. Furthermore, the removed lid also requires time and effort, such as storing it. As described above, conventional cooking covers have issues with the structure for closing the opening, making it time-consuming to insert and remove ingredients.

The object of the present invention is to solve the problems of the past by providing an oven pot with an opening door that allows food to be easily put in and taken out.

An oven kettles according to one aspect of the present invention is placeable on a barbecue grill and comprises an outer peripheral wall formed by multiple side walls arranged vertically, a top plate attached to the upper side of the outer peripheral wall, and an opening/closing door connected to a front wall of the side walls and capable of opening and closing relative to an opening formed in the front wall. The opening/closing door comprises a first plate and a second plate, the first plate being rotatably connected to the front wall at a first connecting portion, and the first and second plates being rotatably connected to each other at a second connecting portion. When the opening/closing door is opened, the first plate rotates at the first connecting portion to fit along the front wall, and the second plate rotates at the second connecting portion to be placed on the top plate. When the opening/closing door is closed, the first and second plates extend along the front wall to cover the opening.

When the door is opened, the first plate of the door rotates at the first connecting portion to fit along the front wall, and the second plate rotates at the second connecting portion to be placed on the top plate. The door can keep the opening open without being removed from the front wall. When the door is closed, the first and second plates extend along the front wall to cover the opening. Therefore, the door configuration makes it easy to put ingredients in and take them out of the opening.

Furthermore, the oven may have a top plate equipped with a locking portion, and the second plate equipped with a handle, so that the handle can be locked to the locking portion when the door is open.

In this case, the handle of the door can be locked into the locking portion when it is open, so it remains open. This allows food to be easily inserted and removed from the opening.

The external configuration of an oven-type rice cooker 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, the oven-type rice cooker 1 has a truncated pyramid-shaped exterior. When the oven-type rice cooker 1 is placed on a horizontal surface, the vertical direction is defined as the top plate 3 side being the upper side, the front-rear direction is defined as the horizontal direction in which the front wall 20a side is the front side, and the left and right sides are defined as the front wall 20a. As shown in FIG. 2, the bottom side of the oven-type rice cooker 1 can be placed on a barbecue grill 30, and food 21 and other ingredients inserted in the internal space 18 of the outer wall 2 are cooked by heat generated by fuel 31 placed on the barbecue grill 30.

As shown in Figures 1 and 3, the oven pot 1 includes an outer wall 2 formed by multiple side walls 20 erected in the vertical direction, and a top plate 3 attached to the upper side of the outer wall 2. It also includes an opening/closing door 5 connected to the front wall 20a of the side walls 20 and capable of opening and closing relative to an opening 6 formed in the front wall 20a. The opening/closing door 5 includes a first plate 12 and a second plate 13, and the first plate 12 is rotatably connected to the front wall 20a at a first connecting portion 7. The first plate 12 and the second plate 13 are rotatably connected to each other at a second connecting portion 8.

As shown in Figures 6 to 8, when the opening/closing door 5 is opened, the first plate 12 rotates at the first connecting portion 7 and is positioned along the front wall 20a. The second plate 13 rotates at the second connecting portion 8 and is placed on the top plate 3. When the opening/closing door 5 is closed, the first plate 12 and second plate 13 extend along the front wall 20a and cover the opening 6.

<Detailed Description of the External Configuration of the Oven 1>
Next, the external configuration of the oven pot 1 will be described in detail with reference to Figure 3. The outer peripheral wall 2 is formed by connecting multiple side walls 20. The side walls 20 are metal plate-shaped members. Horizontally adjacent side walls 20 are connected to each other so that they can rotate. Specifically, the front wall 20a is connected between the left side wall 20b and the right side wall 20c by a hinge 16. The rear wall 20d is connected between the left side wall 20b and the right side wall 20c by a hinge 16. The left side wall 20b and the right side wall 20c each have a structure that allows for valley folding. The outer peripheral wall 2 can be folded by valley folding the left side wall 20b and the right side wall 20c.

As shown in Figure 3, multiple suspension member holes 15 are formed in each of the left and right side walls 20b and 20c, through which rod-shaped suspension members 4 are passed to suspend the left and right side walls 20b and 20c. Multiple suspension member holes 15 are formed in a line in the vertical direction, and are also formed at the same vertical height in the front-to-rear direction. Two or more suspension member holes 15 are formed in each of the left and right side walls 20b and 20c, allowing two or more suspension members 4 to be suspended.

In the example shown in Figure 3 etc., the suspension members 4 are metal rod-shaped members, but are not limited to this. For example, the suspension members 4 may be planar mesh, or may be planar members made of metal rod-shaped members connected in a lattice pattern. Furthermore, instead of forming suspension member holes 15, shelves may be provided on the inside of the side walls 20 to support the suspension members 4 on the side walls 20. The top plate 3 is made of metal and is attached by fitting it from the top of the outer peripheral wall 2.

As shown in Figure 4, the suspension members 4 are suspended parallel to each other in the front-to-rear direction between the left side wall 20b and the right side wall 20c. A thermometer 14 is attached to the center of the top plate 3. As shown in Figure 5, a thermometer hole 3a is formed in the top plate 3, and the detection part 14a of the thermometer 14 is inserted into the internal space 18 of the outer peripheral wall 2. The handle 10 is attached to the second plate 13, and the inside of the handle 10 is hollow so that a hand can be inserted to operate the opening and closing door 5. The locking part 9, which will be described later, is formed in the center in the left-to-right direction, closer to the front in the front-to-rear direction.

Figure 5 is a right side view and partial cross-section of the oven 1. The oven 1 has a symmetrical shape. As shown in Figure 5 in addition to Figure 4, the suspension members 4 are suspended parallel in the front-to-back and up-down directions. As shown in Figure 6, the food receptacle 32 holding food 21 and other ingredients is placed on the suspension members 4. The oven 1 is open at the bottom in the up-down direction. Food 21 and other ingredients are placed on the suspension members 4 and cooked by the rising heat generated by the fuel 31 in the barbecue grill 30. Because the suspension members 4 are suspended in three vertical tiers, food 21 and other ingredients can be placed in three tiers in the internal space 18 of the oven 1. In other words, the oven 1 can simultaneously cook food 21 and other ingredients placed in three tiers. The food receptacle 32 can be of various shapes. In the example shown in Figure 6, the food receptacle 32 is rectangular, but it may be circular when baking pizza 24, as shown in Figure 10.

<Configuration of the opening and closing door 5>
Next, the configuration of the opening/closing door 5 will be described with reference to FIG. 1 and other figures. The opening 6 is formed at a height equal to or greater than half of the front wall 20a in the vertical direction, and the first connecting portion 7 is formed directly above the opening 6. The first plate 12 and the second plate 13 may have the same vertical length along the front wall 20a, or one of them may be longer. While the above description has described the side wall 20 and the opening/closing door 5 as being made of metal, they may also be made of a fire-resistant material other than metal. Furthermore, while hinges are used as an example for the first connecting portion 7 and the second connecting portion 8, other configurations may be used as long as they are rotatable. Furthermore, while the opening/closing door 5 has been described as having two plates, the first plate 12 and the second plate 13, it may also have a configuration of three or more plates.

With reference to Figure 9, the dimensional relationship between the elements necessary for the second plate 13 to be held on the top plate 3 when the opening/closing door 5 is open will be explained. In the vertical direction, L1 is the distance between the first connecting portion 7 and the upper end of the top plate 3, and L2 is the vertical length of the first plate 12. Length L2 is also the vertical dimension between the first connecting portion 7 and the second connecting portion 8. On the top plate 3, L3 is the horizontal distance between the front end of the top plate 3's upper end and the rear end of the locking portion 9. On the second plate 13, L4 is the distance between the second connecting portion 8 and the front end of the handle 10. In this case, the relationships L2 ≧ L1 and L4 ≧ L3 must be satisfied.

The locking portion 9 in the example shown in Figure 6 etc. has an inverted L-shape when viewed from the left or right side. Note that the locking portion 9 is not limited to the shape shown in Figure 6 etc. For example, the locking portion 9 may simply be a protrusion that protrudes upward from the top plate 3. Alternatively, the locking portion 9 may not have a protrusion from the top plate 3, and the top plate 3 may be made of a magnetic metal, with a magnet attached to part of the handle 10. Alternatively, conversely, a magnet may be attached to the top plate 3, and the handle 10 may be made of a magnetic metal.

Furthermore, as shown in Figure 13, the opening and closing door 5 may open in a manner different from that shown in Figures 6 to 9. In the oven pot 1, the second plate 13 is provided with a handle 10, and the front wall 20a slopes inward as it moves up in the vertical direction. When the opening and closing door 5 is opened, the first plate 12 may be mountain-folded at the first connecting portion 7, and the second plate 13 may be valley-folded at the second connecting portion 8. In this case, the first plate 12 and the second plate 13 may be held along the slope of the front wall 20a, and the handle 10 may protrude forward from the second plate 13.

As already explained, the left and right side walls 20b and 20c of the side walls 20, which are connected to the front wall 20a, each have two pivotally connected plates, and the left and right side walls 20b and 20c can be folded by making valley folds to fold the outer wall 2. As shown in FIG. 14, the left and right side walls 20b and 20c each have at least two suspension holes 15 formed therein, and may be provided with detachable handles 33 attached to the suspension holes 15. Two handles 33 may be provided, and by attaching them to the left and right side walls 20b and 20c, the oven rice cooker 1 can be carried. The handles 33 can take various forms. For example, as shown in FIG. 14, the handles 33 may be made of a spirally wound metal wire or a tubular piece of wood attached to the part that comes into contact with the hand to prevent heat from being transferred to the hand.

The handle 33 in the example shown in Figure 14 has a U-shaped tip. When attaching to the left side wall 20b and right side wall 20c, tilt the handle 33 upward and insert the U-shaped portion into the suspension member hole 15, then rotate it downward to clamp the left side wall 20b or right side wall 20c with the U-shaped portion. To remove the handle 33, perform the reverse of this action.

<Effects of the external configuration of the oven pot 1 and the configuration of the opening/closing door 5>
The overall external configuration of the oven pot 1 and the opening/closing door 5 described above provide the following advantages. When the opening/closing door 5 of the oven pot 1 is opened, the first plate 12 of the opening/closing door 5 rotates at the first connecting portion 7 to fit along the front wall 20a. The second plate 13 rotates at the second connecting portion 8 to be placed on the top plate 3. The opening/closing door 5 can keep the opening 6 open without being removed from the front wall 20a. Furthermore, when the opening/closing door 5 is closed, the first plate 12 and the second plate 13 extend along the front wall 20a to cover the opening 6. Therefore, with the configuration of the oven pot 1, the opening/closing door 5 can be easily opened and closed relative to the opening 6, allowing food 21 and the like to be easily inserted and removed.

In addition, when the door 5 is open, the handle 10 can be locked with the locking portion 9. When the locking portion 9 locks the handle 10, the second plate 13 is prevented from moving forward, and the door 5 remains open. Therefore, the oven pot 1 can easily open the door 5, allowing food 21 and other ingredients to be easily inserted and removed from the opening 6.

Furthermore, as shown in Figure 13, opening the door 5 in a different way than in Figures 6 to 9 achieves the following effects. Because the first plate 12 and the second plate 13 are both held along the front wall 20a, the door 5 is kept open. Furthermore, because the handle 10 protrudes forward from the second plate 13, the door 5 can be easily closed. Therefore, food ingredients 21 and the like can be easily inserted and removed from the opening 6.

Also, as shown in Figure 14, a detachable handle 33 may be provided in the suspension member hole 15. In this case, the oven kettle 1 is portable, and the outer wall 2 can be folded by removing the handle 33.

Next, the relationship between the internal structure of the oven cooker 1 of the present invention and the opening/closing door 5 will be described. As already described, the oven cooker 1 has a suspension member 4 suspended inside the outer wall 2. As shown in FIG. 7 and other figures, the oven cooker 1 has the suspension member 4 suspended between the left wall 20b and the right wall 20c, which are two side walls 20 adjacent to the front wall 20a. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 7, the internal space 18 enclosed by the outer wall 2 is vertically divided into multiple spatial regions 19 by the suspension member 4. When the opening/closing door 5 is opened to expose the opening 6, the multiple spatial regions 19 can be seen from the front wall 20a.

When the opening/closing door 5 is opened and the opening 6 is exposed, the oven kettle 1 may have three or more spatial regions 19 visible from the front wall 20a. In the example shown in Figure 7, the spatial region 19 is divided into three regions: a first spatial region 19a, a second spatial region 19b, and a third spatial region 19c. The number of internal spaces 18 can be increased or decreased depending on the number of suspension members 4. In the example shown in Figure 7, when the opening/closing door 5 is opened and the opening 6 is exposed, three spatial regions 19 are visible from the front wall 20a.

The relationship between the internal structure of the oven pot 1 and the opening/closing door 5 described above provides the following effects. As shown in Figure 7 and other figures, when the opening/closing door 5 is opened and the opening 6 is exposed, multiple spatial areas 19 are visible from the front wall 20a side. The oven pot 1 is held with the opening 6 open, allowing multiple ingredients 21 and other food items to be easily loaded and removed, and multiple ingredients 21 and other food items to be cooked simultaneously.

Furthermore, when the door 5 is opened and the opening 6 is exposed, three or more spatial regions 19 may be visible from the front wall 20a. As shown in FIG. 6, when the door 5 is opened and the opening 6 is exposed, ingredients 21, 22, and 23 can be loaded and unloaded from the opening 6 in three vertical stages from the front wall 20a. As already explained, once the door 5 is opened, it remains open, so multiple ingredients 21, etc. can be loaded and unloaded easily depending on the number of spatial regions 19. Therefore, the oven pot 1 can cook multiple ingredients 21, etc. simultaneously. Note that in the example shown in FIG. 6, the spatial region 19 is divided into three regions, but the spatial region 19 may be divided into four or more regions, in which case more ingredients 21, etc. can be cooked simultaneously.

Furthermore, as shown in Figures 10 to 12, when the second plate 13 of the oven rice cooker 1 rotates at the second connecting portion 8 to open a portion of the opening 6, at least one of the spatial regions 19 is visible from the front wall 20a side. In the example shown in Figure 11, the first spatial region 19a is visible.

This configuration of the oven pot 1 provides the following advantages. Because the first spatial area 19a, which is at least one of the spatial areas 19, can be seen from the front wall 20a of the oven pot 1, the state of the ingredients 21 being cooked can be checked. Furthermore, even when other ingredients 22 and 23 are being cooked, some ingredients 21 with shorter cooking times can be easily added and removed. Therefore, the oven pot 1 can simultaneously cook multiple ingredients 21 with different cooking times.
