Description

The present invention relates to a massager suitable for massaging the user's buttocks.

Chair-type massage machines that can massage the user's buttocks have been developed, such as the one shown in Patent Document 1.

The chair-type massage machine disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a seat on which a user sits, a backrest against which the user leans, a pair of side walls provided on the left and right sides of the backrest, and a massage unit consisting of air cells for massaging the user. The seat has a pair of left and right buttocks massage units that massage at least the user's buttocks, the backrest has a pair of left and right lumbar massage units that massage at least the user's lumbar, and the side walls have shoulder massage units that massage at least the user's shoulders. The massage machine further has a control unit for controlling the operation of at least the buttocks massage units, the lumbar massage units, and the shoulder massage units on the left and right, respectively. The control unit has a first control consisting of a state in which the other buttocks massage unit is inflated, a state in which the other lumbar massage unit is inflated, and a state in which one of the shoulder massage units is inflated.

However, in recent years, users have been making increasingly diverse requests.

For example, chair-type massage machines such as those described in Patent Document 1 are large-scale devices, and while they can massage the buttocks while seated in a chair, they make it difficult to massage in other positions.

On the other hand, many cushions that change shape to fit the user's body shape and posture, such as body pillows, are now on the market. For example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-190384 discloses a body pillow that is filled with a sufficient amount of stuffing to allow for easy movement, while leaving some free space within the rod-shaped cushion, allowing it to be folded as desired.

These body pillows, futons, and deformable cushions are extremely comfortable because they can be molded to fit the user's body.

By the way, users' needs regarding massage machines are diverse, and there has been an increasing demand from users to receive massages of their buttocks and other body parts in a more comfortable position, relying on a body pillow, rather than a buttocks massage while sitting in a fixed chair (in other words, a hard massage chair) as with conventional chair-type massage machines.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems and market needs, and aims to provide a massage machine that allows users to receive a comfortable massage in a variety of positions, rather than sitting in a fixed chair, and in particular a buttocks massage machine that can effectively massage the user's buttocks.

To achieve the above objectives, the present invention takes the following measures:

The buttocks massage machine of the present invention comprises a cushion body having an upper surface large enough for a user to sit on, and a covering cushion connected to the cushion body and capable of covering the upper surface of the cushion body , an airbag is disposed within the covering cushion for providing a pressure massage to the area to be treated of the user , and further comprises a long connecting body whose base end is connected to the cushion body, and the covering cushion is connected to the tip of the connecting body .

An embodiment of a buttocks massager 1 according to the present invention will now be described with reference to the drawings. Figures 1 to 12 show the configuration and usage of the buttocks massager 1.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of the buttocks massager 1 (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as massager 1) of the present invention.

As shown in Figure 1, the massage machine 1 of the present invention comprises a cushion body 2, a band-like extension band 3 whose base end is connected to the upper edge of the cushion body 2 and extends from there, and a cover cushion 4 connected to the tip of the extension band 3.

The cushion body 2 is roughly cubic in shape and consists of a bag body 5 and the contents placed inside it. The cushion body 2 contains a massage mechanism 6 that applies pressure and massage to the lower limbs C. Because the cushion body 2 contains beads as its contents, it has deformable shape, able to conform to the body shape and posture of the user M.

First, the cushion body 2 has a cloth bag body 5. This bag body 5 is approximately 50 cm high, and the top and bottom surfaces are approximately 50 cm x 50 cm in size. As shown in Figure 1, the cushion body 2 is cubic in shape, and the user M can place their buttocks D on the top surface and sit down. Hereinafter, the front side of the cushion body 2 will be referred to as the "F side" and the rear side as the "B side," and the F side and B side are illustrated in Figures 2 and 3.

This bag 5 has a structure in which some free space is left inside and the contents, beads, are placed inside. The bag 5 is made by sewing together a square piece of cloth into a bag shape. Various materials can be used for the bag 5, including plastic sheeting and cotton broadcloth. It is preferable that the material for the bag 5 is stretchy, but it does not have to be stretchy.

A variety of materials are conceivable as beads to be placed inside such a bag 5. Suitable examples include buckwheat husks, rice husks, grains, wooden or cork granules, polystyrene foam granules, polyethylene granules, and granular pipes, all of which have diameters of approximately a few millimeters to a few centimeters. Other suitable materials include small ball-shaped cotton, birch, silk, wool, polyester cotton, acrylic cotton, and synthetic resin or rubber sponges.

The amount of beads enclosed within the bag 5 is set to 50-90% of the total volume of the bag 5, and some space is intentionally left within the bag 5 to allow the beads to move easily within the bag 5. This configuration allows the cushion body 2 to change its shape freely.

The cushion body 2 may be a hollow body made of vinyl chloride material filled with a liquid (fluid) such as water. If the fluid inside can move spatially, the bag body 5 can be freely deformed to conform to the posture and body shape of the user M. The shape, size, material, and contents of the cushion body 2 (bag body 5, contents, etc.) can be changed as appropriate.
A pair of openings 7 are formed in the left-right direction on the front side (the side closer to surface B) of the top surface of the cushion body 2. These openings 7 are large enough to allow the lower limbs C of the user M to be inserted into each opening. A slit is formed in surface B of the cushion body 2 extending downward from the openings 7. A fastener 8 is attached to the slit to close the slit (see FIG. 9).

That is, a pair of fasteners 8 are attached to the left and right sides of surface B of the cushion body 2, with the upper end of each fastener 8 connecting to the opening 7 and the lower end of each fastener 8 extending to the vicinity of the bottom surface of the cushion body 2.

By opening this zipper 8 from top to bottom, the opening 7 and slit on the top surface of the cushion body 2 are greatly enlarged, making it easier to insert the lower leg C into the enlarged space of the opening 7. The zipper 8 may be a wire fastener or a hook-and-loop fastener, and by lowering this zipper 8, the opening 7 and the subsequent slit are opened, making it easier to insert the lower leg C into the cylindrical body 9 (details will be described later). By raising this zipper 8, the slit is closed, allowing the lower leg C inserted into the cylindrical body 9 to be securely fixed.

The opening 7, through which the lower leg C can be inserted, communicates downward with the interior of the cushion body 2 and bends forward at the bottom of the cushion body 2 to fit the lower leg C of the user M inserted. In other words, it has a boot-like shape when viewed from the side. A massage mechanism 6 that massages the lower leg C of the user M is arranged along the space of this boot shape.

Various massage mechanisms 6 can be used within the cushion body 2. Examples of massage mechanisms 6 are listed below.

As mentioned above, a pair of openings 7 for inserting the left and right lower legs C are formed on the front side of the upper surface of the cushion body 2 (side B), and a cylindrical body 9 extends from the openings 7. Specifically, the cylindrical body 9 is composed of a vertical cylinder 10 that extends downward inside the cushion body 2 and a horizontal cylinder 11 that extends forward (side F) from the tip of the vertical cylinder 10. The tip of the horizontal cylinder 11 is closed, and the vertical cylinder 10 and horizontal cylinder 11 form an L-shaped (boot) lower leg insertion space.

The rear side (side B) of the vertical cylinder 10 has a vertical slit, and by lowering the fastener 8 provided in this slit, it can be opened rearward, allowing the lower leg C to be inserted into the cylinder 9. The rear side of the vertical cylinder 10 can also be closed by raising the fastener 8. In other words, by raising and lowering the fastener 8, the lower leg C can be inserted and removed from the cylinder 9. The length of the slit (zipper 8) is approximately the same as the length of the vertical cylinder 10.

Multiple airbags 12-14 are arranged around the outer periphery of this cylindrical body 9, and these airbags 12-14 can be used to provide a pressure massage to the user M's lower legs C.

The horizontal cylinder 11 of this cylinder 9 covers the instep to the toes, while the vertical cylinder 10 covers the heel to the calf. Beads are placed inside the cushion body 2 around the cylinder 9 (vertical cylinder 10 and horizontal cylinder 11).

The outer periphery of this cylindrical body 9 is provided with multiple airbags 12-14 that provide pressure massage to the lower legs C. More specifically, a first airbag 12 is provided on the upper surface of the horizontal cylindrical body 11, a pair of second airbags 13 are provided on the lower surface of the vertical cylindrical body 10, and a pair of third airbags 14 are provided on the upper surface of the vertical cylindrical body 10.

First, the first airbag 12 to the third airbag 14 are plastic bags that are capable of storing pressurized air from a pump disposed within the cushion body 2, and are designed to be freely inflatable and deflatable. Examples of the shape of the first airbag 12 to the third airbag 14 include a rectangular bag and an oval bag. There are no particular restrictions on the shape of the first airbag 12 to the third airbag 14, as long as they are capable of providing a pressure massage to the lower legs C.

The first airbag 12 to the third airbag 14 can be inflated and deflated independently. For example, when providing a pressure massage to only the top of the foot, only the first airbag 12 can be inflated and deflated, and when providing a pressure massage to the heel and calf, the second airbag 13 and the third airbag 14 can be inflated and deflated.

Furthermore, it is preferable that the cylindrical body 9 has a double structure (two-layer fabric structure) and that the inner fabric (the fabric that comes into contact with the user's lower limbs C) is removable. By washing the removed inner fabric, it is possible to receive a massage of the lower limbs C in a constantly clean state.

The cylinder 9 and airbag deployed on the right side are the same as those on the left side, so a description will be omitted.

The cushion body 2 contains a pump that supplies pressurized air to the airbags 12-14 to inflate them, a solenoid valve that switches between introducing air into the airbags 12-14 and expelling air from the airbags 12-14, and a control device that controls this solenoid valve.

The pump is located in the center of the pair of cylindrical bodies 9, one on each side, and is connected to the solenoid valve via a hose. The pump sends pressurized air to the solenoid valve, which then supplies the air to each of the airbags 12-14. The control device is equipped with multiple pressure massage programs and controls the inflation of the airbags 12-14 for each program. This allows the user M to select the desired pressure massage for their lower legs C.

As shown in Figures 1 and 5, the massage machine 1 of the present invention is equipped with a sheet-like covering cushion 4 connected to the cushion body 2 via an extension belt 3. When the massage mechanism 6 for massaging the lower limbs C is not in use, this covering cushion 4 is placed on the top surface of the cushion body 2. The covering cushion 4 is a thin rug that has approximately the same shape (approximately a square shape) as the top surface of the cushion body 2, and is what is commonly known as a cushion.

An airbag (fourth airbag 15) is built into the covering cushion 4, and compressed air generated by a pump is sealed inside this fourth airbag 15, allowing it to inflate and provide a pressure massage to the user M. The high-pressure air introduced into the fourth airbag 15 of the covering cushion 4 is generated by a pump located inside the cushion body 2 and introduced into the fourth airbag 15 through air piping 16. The air piping 16 is flexible, and extends from the cushion body 2 through the inside of the extension belt 3 into the covering cushion 4, and is connected to the fourth airbag 15 inside the covering cushion 4. This fourth airbag 15 makes it possible to massage the buttocks D of the user M.

The shape of the covering cushion 4 is not limited. It may be rectangular as shown in Figure 1, or it may be circular and large enough to cover the top surface of the cushion body 2. The covering cushion 4 is preferably several centimeters thick, but may be thicker or thinner depending on the preferences of the user M. Materials suitable for filling the interior of the covering cushion 4 include cotton, sponge, urethane, etc., but are not limited to these.

The beads may be similar to those inserted inside the cushion body 2. While the present embodiment uses one fourth airbag 15, multiple fourth airbags may be deployed, and the shape (in plan view) of the airbag may be rectangular or round. The shape, size, material, and insertion of the covering cushion 4 may be modified as appropriate.

The extension strip 3 is a strip approximately 15 cm wide and 50 cm long, made of cloth and filled with cotton, sponge, urethane, etc., allowing it to bend freely. The extension strip 3 is long enough to span the top surface of the cushion body 2 from one end (top end of surface B) to the other end (top end of surface F). This makes it possible to place the cover cushion 4 at a distance from the cushion body 2, as shown in Figure 7, etc.

However, because the extension strip 3 is long, it can get in the way when storing the cushion or when placing the cover cushion 4 on top of the cushion body 2. Therefore, it is recommended to arrange the extension strip 3 as shown in Figure 13. That is, as shown in the top diagram of Figure 13, assume that the cover cushion 4 is positioned so that it rests on the seat of a chair. When placing this cover cushion 4 on top of the cushion body 2, first, as shown in the middle diagram of Figure 13, place the extension strip 3 on top of the cushion body 2 so that it extends (bridges) from the B side to the F side. Then, as shown in the bottom diagram of Figure 13, the cover cushion 4 on the F side is tilted over to the B side, and the cover cushion 4 is placed.

In this way, even a long extension band 3 can be comfortably positioned on the top surface of the cushion body 2 (in other words, between the cover cushion 4 and the cushion body 2).

The width, length, material, and charged materials of the extension belt 3 can be changed as appropriate.

In other words, the massager 1 of the present invention not only provides pressure massage to the lower limbs C and buttocks D, but also has a stylish appearance with excellent design features in the cushion body 2, extension belt 3, cover cushion 4, etc., making it suitable for modern rooms.

In other words, the massage machine 1 of the present invention can be used as a massage machine 1 regardless of the installation location, and can also be installed as an interior accent. For example, the massage machine 1 of this embodiment can also be used as a stool (a small chair or floor stool).

Figures 2 to 4 show how a user M massages the lower legs C and buttocks D while seated in a chair. As shown in Figures 2 to 4, the cushion body 2 of the massage machine 1 is placed in front of a regular chair, such as a folding chair. The side closest to the chair is side B. Furthermore, a cover cushion 4 is placed on the seat of the chair (see Figures 2 and 3).

After placing the massage machine 1 in this position, the user M sits on the chair, then lowers the zipper 8, widens the slit, and opens the cylindrical body 9 (vertical cylindrical body 10), and inserts the left and right lower legs C into the cylindrical body 9 from rear to front. The instep is then positioned in the first airbag 12, the heel in the second airbag 13, and the calf in the third airbag 14. The zipper 8 is then raised and closed, closing the vertical cylindrical body 10 and securing the lower legs C within the cylindrical body 9.

When the driving operation switch is turned on in this state, the pump operates. Air pressurized by the pump is supplied to the first airbag 12 through the fourth airbag 15 via the solenoid valve.

When air is supplied to the first airbag 12 to the third airbag 14 and inflation begins, the first airbag 12 presses against the instep of the foot, the second airbag 13 presses against the widthwise sides of the heel, and the third airbag 14 presses against the widthwise sides of the calf, effectively compressing and massaging the lower leg C.

For example, by performing an expansion/contraction operation in which the first airbag 12 is inflated, then the second airbag 13 is inflated and the first airbag 12 is deflated, and then the third airbag 14 is inflated and the second airbag 13 is deflated, it is possible to send blood in the lower limbs C upward (above the thighs), thereby promoting blood circulation in the lower limbs C (a milking massage that squeezes the legs from bottom to top).

At the same time, the airbag inside the cover cushion 4 is inflated to push up the user M's buttocks D from below, providing a pressure massage.

In addition, if there is a rotating roller below the horizontal cylinder 11 that applies a pressure massage to the sole of the inserted foot, this rotating roller may also be driven.

In other words, by operating the first airbag 12 to the third airbag 14 and the rotating roller in cooperation, it is possible to perform a variety of massage patterns. For example, by tightening each airbag more than the other courses and simultaneously tightening the soles of the feet, it is possible to create a thorough, squeezing massage. Conversely, by loosening the tightening force of each airbag and increasing the rotation speed of the rotating roller, it is possible to create a rhythmic massage that loosens the soles of the feet. It is also possible to tighten the first airbag 12 in the center and massage the toes with emphasis on the feet.

Furthermore, if a fifth airbag is provided below the horizontal cylinder 11, in addition to the usual sole pressure massage, it is also possible to lift just the toes and provide a treatment that comfortably stretches the entire sole. If a thermal heater such as a PTC heater is provided along the cylinder 9, it is possible to warm the feet with this heater while providing a massage.

At the same time, air pressurized by the pump is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 via the solenoid valve, causing the covering cushion 4 to inflate. As a result, the buttocks D of the user M seated in the chair are effectively compressed and massaged by the fourth airbag 15.

In this way, the massager 1 in usage mode 1 can provide an effective pressure massage to the lower legs C and buttocks D by having the lower legs C slide into the cushion body 2 and sitting on the cover cushion 4.

The beads inserted into the cushion body 2 are packed on the outside of the cylindrical body 9 and act as support when the airbags (first airbag 12 to fourth airbag 15) are inflated. That is, the presence of the beads prevents the airbags from moving away from the lower legs C when the airbags are inflated. The beads also support the airbags and exert a pressure toward the lower legs C as a reaction force, providing a more effective massage to the lower legs C.
[Usage mode 2]
A situation in which the massager 1 of the present invention is used (use mode 2) will be described.

Figures 5 and 6 show a massage machine 1 in which a cover cushion 4 is placed on the top surface of the cushion body 2. For example, the cushion body 2 is placed in front of a regular chair, such as a folding chair. In this case, the side closest to the chair is side B. Furthermore, the cover cushion 4 is placed on the top surface of the cushion body 2.

After placing the massage machine 1 in this position, the user M sits in the chair, stretches out both legs (both lower limbs C), and places the lower limbs C on the cover cushion 4.

When the driving operation switch is turned on in this state, the pump operates. The air pressurized by the pump is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 via the solenoid valve and air piping 16.

When air is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 and inflation begins, the fourth airbag 15 presses upward against the lower legs C (particularly the calves), effectively providing a pressure massage to the lower legs C.

In this way, the massage machine 1 in Usage Mode 2 can be used as an ottoman while providing an effective pressure massage to the lower legs C. In this way, the buttocks massage machine of the present invention can massage not only the buttocks of the user, but also other parts of the user (such as the lower legs).
[Usage mode 3]
A situation in which the massager 1 of the present invention is used (use mode 3) will be described.

Figures 7 and 8 show how the user M uses the massage machine 1 of the present invention while lying down on the floor or tatami mat. As shown in Figures 7 and 8, the cushion body 2 is placed with side B facing the floor and the bottom surface of the cushion body 2 in contact with the wall. In this way, the upper surface with the openings 7 formed therein faces away from the wall. The extension belt 3 is then extended forward on the floor, and the covering cushion 4 is placed at the end of it. The massage machine 1 is set up in this state.

As shown in Figure 8, the user M lies down, covers his or her buttocks D, places it on the cushion 4, and rests his or her back on the cushion body 2. Since the cushion body 2 has beads inside and is flexible, the head may also be placed on the cushion body 2.

Then, when the driver's operation switch is turned on, the pump operates. The air pressurized by the pump is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 via the solenoid valve.

When air is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 and inflation begins, the fourth airbag 15 presses upward against the user M's buttocks D, effectively providing a pressure massage to the buttocks D. In other words, the user M can receive a pressure massage of the buttocks D while in a comfortable position.

In this way, the massage machine 1 in the third usage mode can provide an effective pressure massage to the buttocks D while being used like a chair-type massage machine with the backrest reclined far backward.
[Usage mode 4]
A situation in which the massager 1 of the present invention is used (usage mode 4) will be described.

Figures 9 and 10 show a state in which a user M is sitting on the floor or tatami mat and using the massage machine 1 of the present invention.

In Figures 9 and 10, the bottom surface of the cushion body 2 is placed facing the floor, and the F side of the cushion body 2 is placed in contact with the wall. This causes the B side to face away from the wall. The extension strip 3 is then placed so that it hangs down forward, and the cover cushion 4 is placed on the floor just in front of the cushion body 2.

As shown in Figure 10, user M covers buttocks D, places them on cushion 4, stretches out their legs on the floor, and assumes a posture with their back leaning against cushion body 2. Because cushion body 2 has beads inside and is variable, it allows the user to lean in a comfortable posture.

Then, when the driver's operation switch is turned on in this state, the pump is activated. The air pressurized by the pump is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 via the solenoid valve.

When air is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 and inflation begins, the fourth airbag 15 presses upward against the user M's buttocks D, effectively providing a pressure massage to the buttocks D. In other words, the user M can receive a pressure massage of the buttocks D while in a comfortable position.

In this way, the massage machine 1 in the usage mode 4 can provide an effective pressure massage to the buttocks D while being used like a chair-type massage machine with the backrest in an upright position.
[Usage mode 5]
A situation in which the massager 1 of the present invention is used (use mode 5) will be described.

Figures 11 and 12 show the cushion body 2 placed with its bottom surface facing the floor and the cover cushion 4 placed on the top surface of the cushion body 2. In Figures 11 and 12, the cushion body 2 is placed so that its side F faces the wall, but its side B may be in contact with the wall, or none of the sides of the cushion body 2 may be in contact with the wall. Furthermore, the cover cushion 4 is placed on the top surface of the cushion body 2.

Then, as shown in Figure 12, the user M sits on the massage machine 1 with his or her buttocks D covered and placed on the cushion 4.

Then, when the driver's operation switch is turned on in this state, the pump is activated. The air pressurized by the pump is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 via the solenoid valve.

When air is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 and inflation begins, the fourth airbag 15 presses upward against the user M's buttocks D, effectively providing a pressure massage to the buttocks D. In this way, the massager 1 in the usage mode 5 can provide an effective pressure massage to the buttocks D while being used as a stool.
[Usage Mode 6]
A situation in which the massager 1 of the present invention is used (usage mode 6) will be described.

Figure 14 shows the state in which the bottom surface of the cushion body 2 is placed facing the floor, and the cover cushion 4 is installed hanging down from the F side of the cushion body 2. In Figure 14, the B side of the cushion body 2 is placed facing the wall, but none of the sides of the cushion body 2 may be in contact with the wall.

When installing the cover cushion 4 in a hanging manner on the F side of the cushion body 2, place the extension strip 3 on the top surface of the cushion body 2 so that it extends from the B side to the F side. Then, position the cover cushion 4 on the F side so that it hangs down from the top side of the cushion body 2 and touches the F side.

The user M then places his or her buttocks D on the floor and leans against the cushion body 2 so that his or her back B is in contact with the cushion 4. Then, when the driving operation switch is turned on in this state, the pump is activated. The air pressurized by the pump is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 via the solenoid valve.

When air is supplied to the fourth airbag 15 and inflation begins, the fourth airbag 15 presses the back B of the user M forward, effectively providing a pressure massage to the back B. In other words, the user M can receive a pressure massage of the back B while in a comfortable position.

The buttocks massager 1 described above allows the user to receive a massage in a comfortable position, rather than sitting in a fixed chair. In particular, it is possible to effectively massage the user M's lower limbs C and buttocks D. Furthermore, as shown in Usage Modes 1 to 5, it can be used in a variety of ways, allowing for a comfortable massage in a variety of positions.

The embodiments disclosed herein should be considered in all respects to be illustrative and not restrictive. The scope of the present invention is defined by the claims, not the above description, and is intended to include all modifications equivalent to the meaning and scope of the claims. For example, the massage mechanism is not limited to an airbag, but may be a mechanical massage mechanism. A mechanical massage mechanism would enable more effective treatments, such as kneading massage or tapping massage, to be performed on the user's lower limbs and buttocks.

As shown in Figure 15, it is also preferable to place a support plate 17 made of plastic or the like on part or all of the outside of the cylindrical body 9 to create a space between the cylindrical body 9 and the beads. The space between the cylindrical body 9 and the beads prevents the beads packed on the outside of the cylindrical body 9 from moving toward the cylindrical body 9, thereby minimizing the collapse of the internal space of the cylindrical body 9 (the space into which the lower limb C is inserted). This allows the user M to smoothly insert the lower limb C into the cylindrical body 9.

The device has a cushion body with an upper surface large enough for a user to sit on, and a cover cushion that is connected to the cushion body and can cover the upper surface of the cushion body , and an airbag that applies pressure massage to the treatment area of the user is disposed within the cover cushion,

The buttocks massage machine according to claim 2 , wherein a pump is disposed within the cushion body , and an air pipe is disposed within the extension belt to introduce compressed air generated by the pump into the air bag within the covering cushion. 2. The buttocks massage machine according to claim 8 , wherein the massage mechanism includes an airbag provided in the cylindrical body and configured to apply pressure to the inserted lower leg to massage it, and a pump configured to supply air to the airbag. The buttocks massage machine according to claim 10 , wherein a massaging member is provided at the lower part of the horizontal cylinder for massaging the inserted sole of the foot by pressing against it.
