Description

The present invention relates to a cooking appliance.

Cooking utensils that can be used by stacking multiple cooking utensils have been disclosed in the past. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a cooking utensil with a flat mesh handle large enough to cover the top of a saucepan, and a stopper that can clamp the handle of the saucepan between opposing arc-shaped portions. Furthermore, Patent Document 2 discloses a cooking utensil that has a notch in the opening edge of the pot body with a rod-shaped handle, an inner basket with a frame-shaped handle that can engage with the notch, an inner basket with a handle that fits into the frame-shaped handle of the inner basket, and a lid with a frame-shaped handle.

In the cooker of Patent Document 1, a certain amount of force is required to fit and remove the resilient fasteners from the handle of the saucepan, making it difficult to attach and remove the wire rack while cooking. Furthermore, in the cooker of Patent Document 2, a cutout is provided to correspond to the rod-shaped handle of the pot body. Therefore, when using the inner basket or middle basket stacked on top of the pot body, the handle of the inner basket or middle basket can get in the way when holding the cooker by the handle of the pot body.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a cooking device that makes cooking easy even when used in a stacked configuration.

The cooking appliance of the present invention comprises a first cooking appliance having a first cooking appliance body and a body connection portion having a convex portion protruding upward and connected to the first cooking appliance body, and a grip portion extending downward from the body connection portion corresponding to the convex portion; a second cooking appliance body stored in the first cooking appliance body and a handle portion connected to the second cooking appliance body and engageable with the convex portion; and a lid having a rib portion standing on the back surface radially inward from the outer edge, and including a portion between the outer edge of the lid and the rib portion that can be placed on the opening edge portion of the second cooking appliance body and can also be placed on the opening edge portion of the first cooking appliance body .

This invention provides a cooker that allows for easy cooking even when the first and second cookers are stacked on top of each other, because the second cooker housed in the first cooker body is highly stable.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, a cooker 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a first cooker 10, a second cooker 20, and a lid 30. In this embodiment, the first cooker 10 is a saucepan, and the second cooker 20 is a colander with a handle.

The first cooker 10 has a first cooker body 11 that is a generally cylindrical body with a bottom and an open top. As shown in FIG. 3, the first cooker body 11 has a bottom 11a, an outer periphery 11b that extends in a generally cylindrical shape from the bottom 11a, and an opening 11c at the top. When viewed in a vertical cross section (longitudinal cross section) in FIG. 3, the outer periphery 11b is formed so that it bulges toward the bottom 11a and narrows slightly from the bulging bottom 11a toward the opening 11c. The edge 11b1 of the outer periphery 11b that forms the opening 11c is folded back outward, with the cut portion facing outward from the opening 11c. The edge 11b1 forms the opening edge of the first cooker body 11 of the first cooker 10.

A spout 11d is provided on the edge 11b1 of the outer periphery 11b. A roughly inverted L-shaped handle 12 is provided on the upper part of the outer periphery 11b opposite the spout 11d. The handle 12 has a main body connection portion 12a, one end of which connects to the first cooking appliance main body 11, and a grip portion 12b that extends downward in a roughly rod-like shape from the other end of the main body connection portion 12a. A protrusion 12a1 that protrudes upward is provided on the other end of the main body connection portion 12a. The grip portion 12b extends downward to correspond to the protrusion 12a1. In other words, the protrusion 12a1 is provided on an extension of the upper end of the grip portion 12b.

In this embodiment, the handle 12 has a generally cylindrical connecting member 13 and a generally inverted L-shaped gripping member 14 with a long portion 14a and a short portion 14b. The long portion 14a is shaped so that the lower portion bulges slightly from the center, making it easy to grip. A screw member 15 is inserted through a hole 14a1 in the long portion 14a of the gripping member 14 and threadedly engages with a nut portion 11b2 on the outer periphery 11b. The screw member 15 is tightened and fixed so that the connecting member 13 is sandwiched between the short portion 14b and the outer periphery 11b. A boss portion 14b1 is provided at the tip of the short portion 14b. The boss portion 14b1 is inserted into the connecting member 13. A cover member 16 is attached to the hole 14a1.

In this embodiment, the main body connection portion 12a includes the connection member 13 and the short portion 14b of the gripping member 14, and the gripping portion 12b includes the long portion 14a of the gripping member 14. The protrusion 12a1 is provided at the portion where the long portion 14a and the short portion 14b of the gripping member 14 connect.

The long portion 14a and short portion 14b of the gripping member 14 are arranged approximately perpendicular to each other, but because the connecting member 13 is positioned diagonally upward, the long portion 14a (grip portion 12b) extends at an angle so as to widen radially outward from the first cooking appliance body 11. This ensures sufficient space between the long portion 14a (grip portion 12b) and the outer periphery 11b, making the first cooking appliance 10 (cooking appliance 1) easy to grip.

As shown in FIG. 2, the second cooker 20 has a second cooker body 21 that is a generally cylindrical body with a bottom and an open top, and a frame-shaped handle 22. The second cooker body 21 is housed in the first cooker body 11. The second cooker body 21 has a mesh portion 21a made of a generally cylindrical wire mesh with a bottom, and a ring-shaped metal edge member 21b that forms the opening 21c of the second cooker 20. The edge member 21b forms the opening edge of the second cooker body 21 of the second cooker 20. As shown in FIG. 3, the mesh portion 21a is formed so as to expand upward when viewed in vertical cross section (longitudinal cross section) in FIG. 3. The edge member 21b is formed by a curl bending process.

The edge member 21b of the second cooker 20 includes a portion that can be placed on the edge 11b1 of the first cooker 10. Therefore, when the second cooker 20 is set (stored) in the first cooker 10, the bottom 11a of the first cooker 10 and the bottom of the mesh portion 21a of the second cooker 20 can be spaced apart. The first cooker body 11 includes the mesh portion 21a, which is formed to expand upward, and the outer periphery 11b, which is formed to bulge downward and narrow upward, so that the second cooker 20 can be stored in place in the first cooker 10 without interference between the mesh portion 21a and the first cooker body 11.

The handle 22 of the second cooking appliance 20 is made of metal wire and is formed in a generally U-shape. It has a handle connection portion 22a that connects to the rim member 21b, and a handle grip portion 22b that extends linearly outward from the handle connection portion 22a. The handle connection portions 22a are located on the two ends of the handle 22 and are generally arc-shaped with their convex sides facing downward. The handle connection portions 22a position the handle grip portion 22b above the rim member 21b. The handle connection portions 22a are generally parallel to the rim member 21b when viewed from the side.

When the second cooker 20 is set (stored) in the first cooker 10, the handle 22 can be inserted and engaged with the protrusion 12a1 of the first cooker 10 between the two wires of the handle grip 22b. In this way, the handle 22 engages with the protrusion 12a1 so as to sandwich it between them, thereby restricting the horizontal movement of the handle 22 and allowing the second cooker 20 to be stably stored within the first cooker 10.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the lid 30 has a substantially disk-shaped lid body 31 and a handle 32. In the vertical cross-sectional view of Figure 3, the lid body 31 has a substantially arc-shaped lid portion 31a that is convex on the handle 32 side (front side). The lid portion 31a is made of transparent glass. The lid portion 31a has a steam vent 31a1 that is a through-hole. An annular lid frame member 31b is provided on the outer periphery of the lid portion 31a. The lid frame member 31b is made of metal and has an annular rib portion 31b1 that stands upright on the surface (back side) opposite the surface on which the handle 32 is provided. In other words, the rib portion 31b1 stands upright on the radially inner back side of the lid body 31.

A flat surface portion 31b2 formed in an annular shape is provided between the outer edge of the lid main body 31 (i.e., the outer edge of the lid frame member 31b) and the rib portion 31b1. The flat surface portion 31b2 is formed so that it can be placed on the edge member 21b of the second cooker main body 21. When the flat surface portion 31b2 is placed on the edge member 21b, the rib portion 31b1 is located near the inside of the edge member 21b. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 4, the flat surface portion 31b2 is formed so that it can be placed on the edge portion 11b1 of the first cooker main body 11. When the flat surface portion 31b2 is placed on the edge portion 11b1, the rib portion 31b1 is located near the inside of the edge portion 11b1.

In this way, the lid 30 can be used not only with the first cooker 10 with the second cooker 20 set, but also with the first cooker 10 without the second cooker 20 set. Whether the lid 30 is placed on the second cooker 20 or the first cooker 10, the rib portion 31b1 is located near the inside of either the edge member 21b1 or the edge portion 11b1, reducing horizontal wobble and making the lid less likely to slip off.

When boiling ingredients in the cooker 1 configured in this manner, the second cooker 20 is placed on the first cooker 10 filled with water, and the ingredients are then placed in the second cooker 20. Once the ingredients are done boiling, the user can grasp the handle 22 of the second cooker 20 to remove it from the first cooker 10 and drain the water. Alternatively, the user can grasp the handle 12b of the first cooker 10 with the second cooker 20 placed in it and move it to a sink or the like.

Here, the handle portion 22 of the second cooker 20 is positioned with the protrusion 12a1 engaged between the two straight portions. Therefore, even when the cooker 1 is being moved, the second cooker 20 is prevented from rotating or moving, allowing the second cooker 20 to fit stably within the first cooker 10. Furthermore, even when the handle portion 12b of the first cooker 10 is grasped while the second cooker 20 is set in the first cooker 10, the handle portion 12b, which extends at an angle downward, is separated from the handle portion 22, which extends horizontally, so the handle portion 22 does not get in the way and the handle portion 12b can be gripped securely. Furthermore, because the grip portion 12b extends at an angle downward so as to widen radially outward from the first cooker body 11, when using or moving the first cooker 10 with the second cooker 20 set inside, the user can use the thumb of one hand to press and secure the handle portion 22 near the protrusion 12a1, reducing horizontal wobble and allowing the second cooker 20 to fit more stably within the first cooker 10. In this way, the cooker 1 is highly stable even when the first cooker 10 and the second cooker 20 are used stacked on top of each other, making cooking easier.

Furthermore, the second cooking device 20 can be easily removed from the first cooking device 10 by simply grasping the handle 22 and lifting it up.

Although the above describes an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention is not limited to this embodiment and can be implemented in various forms. For example, the handle 22 may be formed in a flat plate shape from a resin material or the like, and may be provided with a recess or hole that engages with the protrusion 12a1. However, by forming the handle 22 in a frame shape, as in this embodiment, the handle 22 and the protrusion 12a1 can be easily engaged in a simple form. Furthermore, because the protrusion 12a1 extends from the grip portion 12b, the cooker 1 can have a highly aesthetic design. Furthermore, while the first cooker 10, the second cooker 20, and the lid 30 are circular, the present invention can be implemented with other shapes. Furthermore, the shape of the handle 12, etc., is not limited to this embodiment.

Claims (4)

a first cooker including a first cooker body, a body connecting portion having a protrusion protruding upward and connected to the first cooker body, and a grip portion extending downward from the body connecting portion in correspondence with the protrusion;
a second cooker including a second cooker body housed in the first cooker body and a handle portion connected to the second cooker body and engageable with the protrusion;
and
a lid having a rib portion erected on the back surface side radially inward from the outer edge,
a portion between the outer edge of the lid and the rib portion that can be placed on the opening edge portion of the second cooker body and also on the opening edge portion of the first cooker body;
