Description
The present invention relates to a roof renovation structure and renovation method using roof renovation materials.
The roofs of many buildings, such as detached homes, are constructed with shingled roofing materials stacked in a stepped pattern toward the eaves and ridge. When replacing a roof with this type of structure, it is common to remove all of the existing roofing materials and replace them with new ones. However, this method requires time and effort to remove the existing roofing materials. Another problem is that the use of the building is restricted during this time. For this reason, a widely used method, in which the existing roofing materials are not removed but are instead covered with new roofing materials, known as the covering method, is used to replace the roof (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
Patent Document 1 discloses a roofing material for repair that can be used in the above-mentioned covering method. This roofing material for repair is formed from a rectangular thin plate that is long in a direction perpendicular to the eaves-ridge direction (the direction of the beams). The roofing material for repair has a folded portion (eaves-side folded portion) at the end on the eaves side, and is attached to the surface of the roofing material by inserting the end on the ridge side (ridge-side insertion portion) into the overlapping portion between the roofing materials lined up in the eaves-ridge direction and fitting the folded portion (eaves-side folded portion) into the edge on the eaves side of the roofing material.
Patent Document 2 discloses a roofing material for renovation (remodeling roofing material) used in the above-mentioned covering method. Like the roofing material for renovation in Patent Document 1, this roofing material for renovation also has a folded portion (clamping portion) at the end on the eaves side, and the end on the ridge side (clamped portion) is inserted into the overlapping portion between roofing materials lined up in the eaves-ridge direction, and the folded portion (clamping portion) is fitted into the edge on the eaves side of the roofing material when attached to the surface of the roofing material.
Meanwhile, in recent years, an increasing number of buildings have installed functional equipment such as solar cell modules, solar hot water heaters, and outdoor units for air conditioning systems on their roofs. When installing such functional equipment on the roof, auxiliary devices such as support brackets to support the functional equipment and covers to cover cable insertion holes are attached to the surface of the roofing material (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
Patent Document 3 discloses a support bracket (mounting fixture) for mounting solar cell modules on a roof. This support bracket has multiple mounting holes in the bottom plate, and fastening elements such as screws or nails are inserted into the mounting holes and threadedly engaged with the roof underlayment or roofing material (slate tiles), thereby securing it to the surface of the roofing material.
However, if auxiliary devices such as the support brackets described in Patent Document 3 are fixed to the surface of the existing roofing material, they can get in the way when installing the repair roofing material using the above-mentioned covering method. Furthermore, because the above-mentioned auxiliary devices are firmly fixed to the surface of the roofing material so that they do not easily come off the roof, removing them before installing the repair roofing material is time-consuming and laborious.
The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a roof repair structure and repair method that allows for smooth re-roofing even when auxiliary functional equipment has been installed on the surface of the roofing material.
To solve the above problems, the roof renovation structure and renovation method of the present invention employs the following technical measures.

The roof repair structure and repair method according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiment described below is an example of how the present invention is embodied, and the configuration of the present invention is not limited to this specific example.
First Embodiment
As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the roof 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention is inclined at a predetermined gradient toward the eaves and ridge. It includes a decorative slate 3 (an existing roofing material) installed on the surface of a base material 2, and a repair roofing material 4 covering the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3 (hereinafter referred to as the "slate surface"). If functional equipment such as solar cell modules, a solar hot water heater, or an outdoor unit for an air conditioning system is installed on the roof 1, auxiliary devices 5, such as support brackets for the functional equipment and covers for cable insertion holes, are attached to the slate surface 3A. The roof 1 also includes joint covers, eaves flashings, and gable flashings, but these components are not directly related to the present invention and will not be described here.
Although not shown, the base material 2 is composed of sheathing boards, underlayment materials that cover the surfaces of the sheathing boards, etc. As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the decorative slates 3 are thin plate-shaped bodies, and are arranged in multiple rows in the girder direction on the surface of the base material 2, and are installed in a stepped pattern toward the eaves-ridge direction. In this embodiment, the decorative slates 3 are formed in a generally rectangular shape in plan view with both corners on the ridge side cut out diagonally, and are installed in a staggered arrangement so that the girder-side half of the ridge-side end 6 of the decorative slate 3 on the eaves side overlaps the girder-side half of the eave-side end 7 of the decorative slate 3 on the ridge side.
The roof repair structure and repair method of the present invention are not limited to roofs with staggered decorative slates 3 as described above. Furthermore, the roof repair structure and repair method of the present invention are not limited to roofs constructed with decorative slates 3 of the shape described above. In other words, the decorative slates 3 may be rectangular plates with right-angled corners on the ridge and eaves sides, plates with slits at the eaves-side end 7, or plates with corrugated, mountain-shaped, stepped, or other irregularities at the eaves-side end 7.
The decorative slates 3 are installed on the surface of the base material 2 in sequence from one side of the girder to the other and from the eave side to the ridge side in the eaves-ridge direction. Specifically, the decorative slates 3 are installed in sequence from one side of the girder to the other and secured with roof nails 8 for the row of decorative slates 3 furthest from the eaves in the eaves-ridge direction, i.e., the first row from the eaves side (N=1), and then for the next row of decorative slates in the second row from the eaves side (N=2), they are installed in sequence from one side of the girder to the other (or the opposite direction) so that they partially overlap the first decorative slate 3 from above. In this way, the decorative slates 3 are installed in sequence starting from the Nth row (N=1, 2, 3, etc.) from the eaves side in the eaves-ridge direction until they reach the ridge of the roof 1. The decorative slates 3 may be installed in sequence starting from the row of decorative slates in the ridge direction in the eaves-ridge direction, or they may be installed in sequence starting from the center of the girder direction in the rows of decorative slates.
The roofing material for renovation 4 is a plate formed by bending a rectangular metal thin plate that is longer in the girder direction than in the eaves-ridge direction, and is installed by covering the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3. The roofing material for renovation 4 also has a ridge-side insertion portion 11, a decorative surface portion 12, and an eaves-side fold portion 13. In other words, the roofing material for renovation 4 is a plate formed integrally with the ridge-side insertion portion 11, decorative surface portion 12, and eaves-side fold portion 13. The ridge-side insertion portion 11 is inserted from the girder side into the overlapping portion 3R of the decorative slates 3 lined up in the eaves-ridge direction, and the eaves-side fold portion 13 is engaged with the eaves-side end 7 of the decorative slate 3 from the eaves side, thereby being held and fixed to the slate surface 3A.
The roofing material 4 for renovation is preferably formed from a metal plate approximately 0.3 mm to 0.4 mm thick. The metal plate may be one of the following: iron, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum-zinc alloy-plated steel, enameled steel, clad steel, laminated steel (e.g., PVC steel), or sandwich steel (e.g., vibration-damping steel), including metallic color plates painted in various colors. More preferably, aluminum-zinc alloy-plated steel or aluminum-zinc alloy-plated steel with magnesium added for rust prevention is used. The roofing material 4 for renovation may be formed by methods other than bending, such as roll forming, press forming, extrusion, or notching. Furthermore, the roofing material 4 for renovation may be formed from a synthetic resin plate such as vinyl chloride resin or polycarbonate resin (including synthetic resin color plates painted in various colors).
The ridge-side insertion portion 11 is hemmed along its edge on the back side (the side facing the slate surface 3A) (see Figure 2), and this hemmed portion 11P is inserted from the eaves side into the gap (overlap portion 3R) between the eaves side end 7 of the ridge-side decorative slate 3 and the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 to hold it in place.
The decorative surface portion 12 has a corrugated cross-section with concaves and convexes extending from the front to the back. These concaves and convexes are formed between the girder-side ends 14 of the roofing materials 4 on the decorative surface portion 12. In this embodiment, the concaves and convexes are formed in an accordion-folded shape, with alternating peak and valley folds extending in the eaves-ridge direction. Furthermore, the eaves-side slopes forming the valley folds are set at angles that are always less than horizontal (sloping downward toward the eaves side) when the roofing materials 4 are properly installed. Figures 1 to 3 illustrate the roofing materials 4 for renovation with an accordion-folded shape to facilitate distinction between the decorative slates 3 and the roofing materials 4 for renovation. The decorative surface portion 12 may have only one convexity, consisting of one peak and one valley fold, near the eaves-side end (eaves-side fold 13). Alternatively, the decorative surface portion 12 may be formed flat and without any concaves and convexes extending from the ridge-side insertion portion 11 to the eaves-side fold 13.
The eaves-side fold 13 is bent approximately 180 degrees from the decorative surface 12 toward the back surface (the side facing the slate surface 3A) to form a generally U-shaped cross section. In this embodiment, the eaves-side fold 13 has a generally U-shaped cross section, with a drip edge 15 bent approximately 30 degrees from the decorative surface 12 toward the back surface, a vertical portion 16 bent approximately 90 degrees from the drip edge 15 toward the back surface, and an eaves-side insertion portion 17 bent approximately 90 degrees from the vertical portion 16 toward the ridge so that it is generally parallel to the decorative surface 12. Although not shown, a drainage hole is provided near the boundary (at the bend) between the vertical portion 16 and the eaves-side insertion portion 17.
The eaves-side insertion portion 17 is hemmed along its edge on the front side (the side facing the back surface 3B of the decorative slate 3) (see Figure 2), and this hemmed portion 17P is inserted and held in place from the eaves side into the gap (overlap portion 3R) between the eaves-side end portion 7 of the ridge-side decorative slate 3 and the front surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3.
The roof repair structure and repair method of the present invention are not limited to roofs using repair roofing materials 4 of the above-described shape. That is, the eaves-side fold 13 may not have a drip edge 15 and may have a generally U-shaped cross section, with a vertical section bent approximately 90 degrees from the decorative surface 12 toward the backside, and an eaves-side insertion section bent approximately 90 degrees from the vertical section toward the ridge side so as to be generally parallel to the decorative surface 12. Alternatively, the eaves-side fold 13 may have a generally U-shaped cross section, with a folded section bent approximately semicircularly from the decorative surface 12 toward the backside, and an eaves-side insertion section extending from the edge on the back side of the folded section toward the ridge side generally parallel to the decorative surface 12. Furthermore, the edges of the ridge-side insertion section 11 and the eaves-side insertion section 17 do not need to be hemmed.
The renovation roofing materials 4 are applied to the slate surface 3A in a sequential order, from one side of the girder to the other, and from the ridge side to the eaves side in the eaves-ridge direction. Specifically, the renovation roofing materials 4 are first lined up in the first row (N=1) closest to the ridge in the eaves-ridge direction, and then adhesively fixed to the slate surface 3A in a sequential order from one side of the girder to the other (or in the opposite direction) for the next row of renovation roofing materials 4 in the second row (N=2) closest to the ridge. In this way, the renovation roofing materials 4 are applied in a sequential order, starting from the Nth row (N=1, 2, 3, ...) closest to the ridge in the eaves-ridge direction, until they reach the eaves of the roof 1. This prevents workers from standing on the existing decorative slates 3, even if they do stand on the renovation roofing materials 4 after installation.
The roofing materials 4 for renovation may be installed in a row starting from the ridge side in the girder direction in the eaves direction, or they may be installed in a row starting from the center of the girder direction in the girder direction. The roofing materials 4 for renovation may also be fixed without being glued to the slate surface 3A, by simply engaging the ridge-side insertion portion 11 and the eaves-side fold portion 13 with the decorative slate 3 as described above, or they may be fixed to the decorative slate 3 using other conventional methods.
The auxiliary device 5 is fixed to the surface 3A of a given decorative slate 3 in accordance with the installation location of the functional equipment. Specifically, in this embodiment, the auxiliary device 5 is located closer to the eaves than the overlapping portion 3R of the decorative slates 3 on the ridge side of the slate surface 3A, i.e., closer to the eaves side end 7.
In this embodiment, the auxiliary device 5 is a support bracket that supports and fixes the solar cell module, and includes a fixing plate 5A and a support frame 5B. The fixing plate 5A is formed in a roughly square shape, and is fixed with screws to a specified slate surface 3A with one diagonal aligned with the eaves-ridge direction. The support frame 5B is formed upright on the surface of the fixing plate 5A.
If the auxiliary tool 5 is fixed to the slate surface 3A as described above, the renovation roofing material 4 cannot be smoothly attached to the decorative slate 3 (the auxiliary tool 5 gets in the way and prevents the renovation roofing material 4 from being placed over the slate surface 3A). Therefore, in this embodiment, the roof 1 is installed on the slate surface 3A with an interference avoidance space 20 provided to prevent the specified renovation roofing material 4 from interfering with the auxiliary tool 5.
Furthermore, if an interference avoidance space 20 is provided as described above, rainwater flowing down the surface of the roofing material for renovation 4 may be more likely to flow into the interference avoidance space 20, and rainwater flowing down onto the slate surface 3A in the interference avoidance space 20 may seep through the gap between the auxiliary device 5 and the slate surface 3A, through screw holes or the like, and into the back side of the decorative slate 3. Therefore, the roof 1 of this embodiment is provided with an interference avoidance space 20, and furthermore, a water-stopping member 21 is provided near the interference avoidance space 20.
As shown in Figure 4, in the first embodiment of the present invention, the interference avoidance space 20 is defined by cutting the girder-side end 14 of the roofing material for renovation 4 (hereinafter referred to as the "target roofing material for renovation") that is attached at a position where it will interfere with the auxiliary device 5. Specifically, two target roofing materials for renovation 4 that are adjacent to each other in the girder direction have their girder-side end 14 (the ends that butt together in the girder direction) cut diagonally from the midpoint in the eaves-ridge direction to the eaves-side end (eaves-side fold 13). By arranging these cut sections facing each other in the girder direction, an interference avoidance space 20 that is triangular in plan view and widens from the ridge side to the eaves side (i.e., opens to the eaves side) is defined in the target roofing material for renovation 4.
The water-stopping members 21 are frames that are roughly L-shaped in plan view, and are provided in pairs on the slate surface 3A exposed to the interference avoidance space 20, aligned in the girder direction so as to surround the outer periphery of the auxiliary device 5. More specifically, the water-stopping members 21 are provided near one and the other girder side of the auxiliary device 5 on the slate surface 3A, with the inner surfaces (concave portions of the L) of the rising pieces 23 facing the auxiliary device 5 from the girder direction. The water-stopping members 21 are also provided along the end (end surface of the cut portion) of the roof material 4 for renovation that faces the interference avoidance space 20.
The water-stopping member 21 is a frame formed by bending a rectangular metal sheet elongated in one direction into a generally L-shaped frame in plan view, and includes a fixed piece 22 and a rising piece 23. The rising piece 23 is an L-shaped plate in plan view, with a fixed piece 22 provided on one long edge (the edge facing the decorative slate 3) of each of its folded halves 23A and 23B. The fixed piece 22 is a generally rectangular plate that extends from the long edge of the folded halves 23A and 23B toward the outer surface of the rising piece 23 (the convex portion of the L). The fixed piece 22 is adhesively fixed to the slate surface 3A near the outer perimeter girder of the auxiliary device 5, with the connecting edge with the rising piece 23 facing one side of the fixing plate 5A of the auxiliary device 5. As a result, the water-stopping member 21 is fixed to the slate surface 3A with one folded half 23A (ridge side) of the rising piece 23 standing up near the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5, and the other folded half 23B (eaves side) standing up near the eaves side of the auxiliary device 5.
The fixing piece 22 provided on the folded half portion 23A on the ridge side of the standing piece 23 is fixed at a position inserted into the gap 25 between the roof material for renovation 4 and the decorative slate 3 from the end face of the cut portion of the roof material for renovation 4 facing the interference avoidance space 20. As a result, the folded half portion 23A on the ridge side of the standing piece 23 is provided standing up along the end face of the cut portion. In other words, the water-stopping member 21 is provided along the end (end face of the cut portion) of the roof material for renovation 4 facing the interference avoidance space 20.
Two water-stopping members 21, located near the girder sides of one and the other of the auxiliary fixtures 5, are fixed to the slate surface 3A with the ridge-side edges of the rising pieces 23 (the ridge-side edges of the ridge-side folded halves 23A) joined together. That is, the two water-stopping members 21 are arranged in a V-shape, with the ridge-side folded halves 23A of the rising pieces 23 aligned along the edge (the cut end face) of the roofing material 4 for renovation facing the interference avoidance space 20. As a result, rainwater flowing from the ridge side of the roof 1 along the surface of the roofing material 4 for renovation into the interference avoidance space 20 is diverted along the ridge-side outer surface of the rising pieces 23 (the outer surface of the ridge-side folded halves 23A) toward the outer girder of the auxiliary fixture 5, and flows toward the eaves side of the attachment point of the auxiliary fixture 5. A sealant, waterproof tape, or other sealing material may be applied to the joint between the ridge-side edges of the two rising pieces 23 to further enhance waterproofing.
The two water-stopping members 21 are each fixed to the slate surface 3A with a drainage gap (drainage section) 26 defined between the eaves-side edges of the rising pieces 23 (the eaves-side edges of the eaves-side folded half sections 23B). In other words, the two water-stopping members 21 are arranged to surround almost the entire periphery of the auxiliary device 5, and a drainage section 26 is provided on the eaves side. As a result, even if rainwater seeps into the area surrounded by the two water-stopping members 21 (around the mounting section of the auxiliary device 5), the rainwater is guided along the eaves-side inner surface of the rising pieces 23 (the inner surface of the eaves-side folded half sections 23B) to the eaves side of the auxiliary device 5 and is discharged through the drainage section 26.
The two water-stopping members 21 may also be fixed to the slate surface 3A with the eaves-side edges of the rising pieces 23 (the eaves-side edges of the eaves-side folded halves 23B) joined together. In this case, however, it is preferable to provide drainage holes (drainage portions) near the joints between the eaves-side edges. As a result, as with the first embodiment, even if rainwater seeps into the area surrounded by the two water-stopping members 21, the rainwater will be quickly drained through the drainage holes.
Next, we will explain the procedure for repairing the roof 1 in the first embodiment. Note that procedures other than the repair work around the auxiliary device 5 are not directly related to the present invention and will not be explained here.
(Renovation Procedure I)
First, as shown in Figure 5, the roofing material for renovation 4 (C1) is attached to the surface 3A of a row of decorative slates 3 (P1) aligned in the girder direction on the ridge side of the auxiliary tool 5. Specifically, the ridge-side insertion portion 11 of the roofing material for renovation 4 (C1) is inserted from the eaves side into the overlapping portion 3R between the ridge-side decorative slate 3 (P1) and a decorative slate (not shown) further ridge-side, and the eaves-side foldback portion 13 is engaged with the eaves-side end 7 of the ridge-side decorative slate 3 (P1) from the eaves side. Although not shown, adhesive is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3 (P1) before attaching the roofing material for renovation 4 (C1). This adhesively secures the roofing material for renovation 4 (C1) to the surface 3A of the ridge-side decorative slate 3 (P1).
Next, as shown in Figure 6, the girder-side end portions 14 of the two target roofing materials 4 (C2) are cut as described above. Adhesive 27 is then applied to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) where the auxiliary tool 5 is installed. The two target roofing materials 4 (C2) are then attached to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2), aligned on the outer girders of the auxiliary tool 5 so that the cut end faces face each other in the girder direction. Specifically, the ridge-side insertion portion 11 of the target roofing material 4 (C2) is inserted from the eaves side into the overlapping portion 3R between the ridge-side decorative slate 3 (P1) and the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) on the outer girders of the auxiliary tool 5, and the eaves-side fold portion 13 is engaged with the eaves-side end portion 7 of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) from the eaves side. As a result, as shown in FIG. 7, the two target roof materials for repair 4 (C2) each define an interference avoidance space 20 around the auxiliary tool 5, and the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3 (P2) on the eaves side
The substrate is glued and fixed to the substrate.
Next, as shown in Figure 8, waterproofing members 21 are attached near the interference avoidance space 20. Specifically, two waterproofing members 21 are aligned near the outer periphery of the auxiliary fixture 5, with the inner surfaces (L-shaped concave portions) of the rising pieces 23 facing the auxiliary fixture 5 from the girder direction, and the fixing pieces 22 are fixed to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2). At this time, the ridge-side fixing piece 22 is inserted into the gap 25 at the end surface of the cut portion facing the interference avoidance space 20. Although not shown, adhesive is applied to the back surface of the fixing pieces 22 before aligning the waterproofing members 21 near the outer periphery of the auxiliary fixture 5. As a result, as shown in Figure 4, the two waterproofing members 21 are each adhesively fixed to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) exposed to the interference avoidance space 20, surrounding the outer periphery of the auxiliary fixture 5. This completes the main renovation work around the auxiliary fixture 5.
When fixing the water-stopping member 21 to the slate surface 3A as described above, the ridge-side fixing piece 22 may be coated with adhesive on both sides and then inserted into the gap 25, or adhesive may be applied to the inner surface of the gap 25 (the slate surface 3A or the back surface of the roofing material 4 for renovation) beforehand, and then the ridge-side fixing piece 22 may be inserted into the gap 25.
In addition, in the above-mentioned renovation procedure I, the target renovation roofing material 4 was first installed on the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3, with an interference avoidance space 20 in place to prevent interference with the auxiliary device 5, and then the water-stopping member 21 was attached near the periphery of the auxiliary device 5. However, it is also possible to first install the water-stopping member 21 near the periphery of the auxiliary device 5, and then install the target renovation roofing material 4 on the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3, with an interference avoidance space 20 in place to prevent interference with the auxiliary device 5.
(Renovation Procedure II)
Specifically, as shown in Figure 5, first, as in the above-mentioned renovation procedure I, the renovation roof material 4 (C1) is attached to the surface 3A of a row of decorative slates 3 (P1) aligned in the girder direction on the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5.
Next, as shown in Figure 9, the water-stopping members 21 are attached to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) on which the auxiliary device 5 is installed. Specifically, two water-stopping members 21 are arranged near the outer periphery of the auxiliary device 5 with the inner surfaces (L-shaped concave portions) of the rising pieces 23 facing the auxiliary device 5 from the girder direction, and the fixing pieces 22 are fixed to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2). Although not shown, adhesive is applied to the back surface of the fixing pieces 22 before the water-stopping members 21 are arranged near the outer periphery of the auxiliary device 5. As a result, the two water-stopping members 21 are each adhesively fixed to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2).
Next, as shown in Figure 10, the girder-side end portions 14 of the two target roofing materials 4 (C2) are cut, as in Renovation Procedure I above. Adhesive 27 is then applied to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) where the auxiliary tool 5 is installed, and the two target roofing materials 4 (C2) are attached to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) by lining them up on the outer girder side of the auxiliary tool 5 so that the cut end faces butt against each other in the girder direction. The specific method of attaching the target roofing materials 4 (C2) to the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2) is the same as in Renovation Procedure I. As a result, as shown in Figure 4, the two target roofing materials 4 (C2) are each adhesively fixed to the surface 3A of the eaves-side decorative slate 3 (P2), defining an interference avoidance space 20 around the auxiliary tool 5. At this time, the fixing piece 22 on the ridge side of the waterproofing member 21 is fixed in place at a position sandwiched between the repair roof material 4 (C2) and the slate surface 3A. This completes the main repair work around the auxiliary device 5.
In fixing the target roofing material for repair 4 (C2) to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3 (P2) on the eaves side as described above, the adhesive 27 is applied to the slate surface 3 as shown in FIG.
In addition to the above-mentioned coating A, it is also preferable that the coating be applied to the surface of the ridge-side fixing piece 22 of the water-stopping member 21. This allows the ridge-side fixing piece 22 to be adhesively fixed to both sides of the roofing material for repair 4 and the decorative slate 3, making it even more difficult for the water-stopping member 21 to come off the roof 1. It also more reliably prevents rainwater flowing down the ridge-side outer surface of the rising piece 23 (the outer surface of the ridge-side folded half portion 23A) from seeping through the gap 25 at the end face of the cut portion to the back side of the roofing material for repair 4.
As described above, the roof 1 repair structure in the first embodiment is a roof 1 repair structure in which thin decorative slates (roofing materials) 3 are installed in a stepped pattern in the eaves-ridge direction, and auxiliary functional equipment 5 is installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slates (roofing materials) 3.The repair roof material 4, which has a ridge-side insertion portion 11, a decorative surface portion 12, and an eaves-side fold portion 13, is installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slates (roofing materials) 3 with an interference avoidance space 20 provided to prevent interference with the auxiliary equipment 5.
With this structure, even if auxiliary fixtures 5 for functional equipment are installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3, the repair roofing material 4 can be installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3, avoiding the auxiliary fixtures 5, without removing the auxiliary fixtures 5, allowing for smooth re-roofing of the roof 1.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the interference avoidance space 20 is provided with an opening at least on the eaves side. With this structure, even if the auxiliary tool 5 is provided near the eaves-side end 7 of the slate surface 3A, it is easy to install the repair roofing material 4 while avoiding the auxiliary tool 5, making it possible to re-roof the roof 1 more smoothly.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the interference avoidance space 20 is defined by cutting the girder-side end 14 of the roofing material 4 for renovation. This structure makes it possible to easily define the interference avoidance space 20 at the construction site in accordance with the placement of the auxiliary tool 5, thereby enabling even smoother re-roofing of the roof 1.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, a water-stopping member 21 is provided near the interference avoidance space 20. This structure prevents rainwater flowing down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 from reaching the attachment point of the auxiliary device 5, thereby maintaining the waterproofing of the roof 1.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the water-stopping member 21 is provided near the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5. This structure more effectively prevents rainwater that flows down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 from reaching the attachment point of the auxiliary device 5, further improving the waterproofing of the roof 1.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the water-stopping member 21 is provided along the edge of the roof material for renovation 4 facing the interference avoidance space 20. This structure prevents rainwater flowing down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 from penetrating to the back side of the roof material for renovation 4 through the gap 25 at the edge of the roof material for renovation 4 facing the interference avoidance space 20, further improving the waterproofing of the roof 1.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the water-stopping member 21 is provided so as to surround the outer periphery of the auxiliary device 5, and a drainage section 26 is provided on the eaves side. This structure prevents rainwater from flowing down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20, as well as rainwater spraying up from the eaves side from reaching the mounting section of the auxiliary device 5. Moreover, even if rainwater seeps into the area surrounded by the water-stopping member 21, the rainwater is drained to the eaves side of the auxiliary device 5 through the drainage section 26. This further improves the waterproofing of the roof 1.
In the first embodiment, the water-stopping member 21 includes a fixed piece 22 and a rising piece 23 that stands upright near the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5. Furthermore, at least a portion of the fixed piece 22 of the water-stopping member 21 is inserted and fixed into the gap 25 between the decorative slate (roofing material) 3 and the roofing material for renovation 4. This structure more effectively prevents rainwater that flows down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 from reaching the mounting portion of the auxiliary device 5. It also prevents rainwater that flows down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 from seeping through the gap 25 to the back side of the roofing material for renovation 4. This further improves the waterproofing of the roof 1.
The method for renovating a roof 1 in the first embodiment described above is a method for renovating a roof 1 in which thin decorative slates (roofing materials) 3 are laid in a stepped pattern in the eaves-ridge direction, and auxiliary functional equipment 5 is installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slates (roofing materials) 3. The roof material 4 for renovation, which has a ridge-side insertion portion 11, a decorative surface portion 12, and an eaves-side fold portion 13, is installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slates (roofing materials) 3 with an interference avoidance space 20 provided to prevent interference with the auxiliary equipment 5.
With this method, even if auxiliary fixtures 5 for functional equipment are installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3, the repair roofing material 4 can be installed on the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3 without removing the auxiliary fixtures 5, avoiding the auxiliary fixtures 5, thereby enabling smooth re-roofing of the roof 1.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the girder-side end 14 of the roofing material 4 for repair is cut to provide an interference avoidance space 20. This method allows the interference avoidance space 20 to be easily provided at the construction site in accordance with the placement of the auxiliary tool 5, making it possible to more smoothly re-roof the roof 1.
In addition, in the first embodiment described above, a water-stopping member 21 is provided near the interference avoidance space 20. This method prevents rainwater flowing down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 from reaching the attachment point of the auxiliary device 5, thereby maintaining the waterproofing of the roof 1.
Furthermore, in the renovation procedure I of the first embodiment described above, the renovation roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3, and then the water-stopping member 21 is installed. With this method, the water-stopping member 21 is less likely to get in the way when the renovation roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3. Furthermore, when installing the water-stopping member 21, positioning is easier by using the cut end face of the renovation roofing material 4 on the interference avoidance space 20 side as a reference, allowing for smoother re-roofing of the roof 1.
Alternatively, in repair procedure II of the first embodiment described above, after the water-stopping member 21 is installed, the repair roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3. With this method, the water-stopping member 21 can be installed in accordance with the placement of the auxiliary tool 5 before the repair roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate (roofing material) 3, making it possible to re-roof the roof 1 in a more appropriate installation condition.
Second Embodiment
In the first embodiment described above, the interference avoidance space 20 is formed by diagonally cutting (cutting off) the girder side end portions 14 of the two target renovation roof materials 4 that are adjacent to each other in the girder direction, but it may also be formed by cutting (cutting off) the girder side end portions 14 (the ends that butt together in the girder direction) of one or both of the two renovation roof materials 4 in the eaves-ridge direction.
In detail, as shown in Figure 11, in the second embodiment of the present invention, the girder side end portions 14 (the ends that butt together in the girder direction) of one or both of the two target roof renovation materials 4 are cut in the eaves-ridge direction, and by arranging the end faces of these cut portions (or the end faces of the cut portions and the girder side end portions 14) facing each other in the girder direction, an interference avoidance space 20 that is rectangular in plan view and opens on both sides of the eaves ridge is defined in the target roof renovation material 4.
The water-stopping member 21 also includes a fixing piece 22 that is generally rectangular in plan view and has a V-shaped notch 22C formed in its eaves-side edge, and a rising piece 23 that extends in a V-shape along the cut end surface of the notch 22C. The rising piece 23 is fixed to the slate surface 3A near the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5, with the inner surface (the concave portion of the V) facing the auxiliary device 5 from the ridge direction. The rising piece 23 is also arranged in a V-shape on the outer ridge side of the auxiliary device 5, with both girder-side edges approximately aligned with the cut end surface (or girder-side end 14) of the roofing material 4 for repair. Therefore, rainwater flowing from the ridge side of the roof 1 along the surface of the roofing material 4 for repair and into the interference avoidance space 20 is diverted toward the outer girder of the auxiliary device 5 and flows toward the eaves side of the attachment point of the auxiliary device 5, as in the first embodiment. This achieves the same effects as the first embodiment.
In the roof 1 of the second embodiment, similar to renovation method II of the first embodiment, after the waterproofing member 21 is installed, the renovation roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3. At this time, both girder-side ends 28 of the fixing pieces 22 are covered with the renovation roofing material 4. Furthermore, it is preferable that the adhesive that secures the renovation roofing material 4 to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3 is also applied to the surface of the girder-side end 28 of the fixing pieces 22.
In addition, in the second embodiment described above, the interference avoidance space 20 is defined by cutting the girder-side end portions 14 of one or both of the two target renovation roofing materials 4 that are adjacently lined up in the girder direction in the eaves-ridge direction. However, the interference avoidance space 20 may also be defined by arranging the two renovation roofing materials 4 that are adjacently lined up in the girder direction at a predetermined distance in the girder direction (for example, as shown in Figure 11, a distance that is significantly wider than the girder-direction dimension (width dimension) of the auxiliary device 5).
Third Embodiment
In the second embodiment described above, the water-stopping member 21 is configured to divert rainwater flowing down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 toward the outer girders of the auxiliary device 5 by means of the rising pieces 23 arranged in a V shape on the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5, but the shape of the rising pieces 23 is not particularly limited as long as it can appropriately divert rainwater flowing down from the ridge side into the interference avoidance space 20 toward the outer girders of the auxiliary device 5. For example, the rising pieces 23 may be formed in the shape of a plate that slopes from one side of the girder direction to the other in the eaves-ridge direction.
In more detail, as shown in FIG. 12 , in the third embodiment of the present invention, the water-stopping member 21 includes a fixing piece 22 that is generally trapezoidal in plan view, with its eaves-side edge sloping from one side of the girder to the other toward the eaves-ridge. A rising piece 23 extends along the eaves-side edge. The rising piece 23 is fixed to the slate surface 3A near the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5, with the eaves-side slope of the rising piece 23 facing the auxiliary device 5 from the ridge direction. The rising piece 23 is also positioned on the outer ridge side of the auxiliary device 5, sloping toward the girder, with both girder-side edges approximately aligned with the cut end faces (or girder-side ends 14) of the roofing material 4 for repair. Therefore, rainwater flowing from the ridge side of the roof 1 down the surface of the roofing material 4 for repair into the interference avoidance space 20 is deflected toward one side of the outer girder of the auxiliary device 5 and flows toward the eaves side beyond the attachment point of the auxiliary device 5. This achieves the same effects as the first and second embodiments.
In addition, in the roof 1 of the third embodiment described above, similar to renovation method II of the first embodiment, after the waterproofing member 21 is installed, the renovation roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3.
<Fourth embodiment>
In the repair structure for the roof 1 of the first embodiment described above, the interference avoidance space 20 is defined by cutting the eaves-side corner of the girder-side end 14 of the repair roofing material 4 at an angle, but the shape of the cut portion is not particularly limited as long as it is possible to appropriately avoid interference with the auxiliary device 5. For example, the interference avoidance space 20 may be defined by cutting the eaves-side corner of the girder-side end 14 of the repair roofing material 4 in a generally V-shape, or by cutting it in a generally quarter-circular arc shape.
More specifically, as shown in Figure 13, in the fourth embodiment of the present invention, the girder-side ends 14 (ends that butt together in the girder direction) of the two target roofing materials 4 are each cut in a roughly V-shape from the midpoint in the eaves-ridge direction to the eaves-side end (eaves-side fold 13). By arranging these cut sections facing each other in the girder direction, an interference avoidance space 20 is defined in the target roofing materials 4 for renovation, with a V-shaped ridge-side edge that opens toward the eaves side and is roughly home plate-shaped (pentagonal) in plan view.
The water-stopping member 21 also includes a fixing piece 22, which is generally rectangular in plan view and has a notch 22C formed in its eaves-side edge that is generally the same shape as the interference avoidance space 20, and a rising piece 23 that extends in a V-shape along the ridge-side edge of the notch 22C. The rising piece 23 is fixed around the auxiliary device 5 on the slate surface 3A with its inner surface (the concave portion of the V) facing the auxiliary device 5 from the ridge direction. The fixing piece 22 is fixed in place so that both girder-side ends 28 are inserted into the gap 25 between the roofing material 4 to be repaired and the slate surface 3A from the cut end face (or girder-side end 14) of the roofing material 4 to be repaired. The rising piece 23 is arranged in a V-shape on the outer ridge side of the auxiliary device 5, with both girder-side ends approximately aligned with the cut end face (or girder-side end 14) of the roofing material 4 to be repaired. Therefore, rainwater flowing from the ridge side of the roof 1 down the surface of the roofing material 4 for renovation and into the interference avoidance space 20 is diverted toward the outer girders of the auxiliary device 5, as in the first embodiment, and flows toward the eaves side of the attachment point of the auxiliary device 5. This achieves the same effects as the first embodiment.
In the roof 1 of the fourth embodiment, similar to renovation method II of the first embodiment, after the waterproofing member 21 is installed, the renovation roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3. At this time, both girder side ends 28 of the fixing pieces 22 are covered with the renovation roofing material 4. Furthermore, it is preferable that the adhesive that secures the renovation roofing material 4 to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3 is also applied to the surface of the girder side end 28 of the fixing pieces 22.
Fifth Embodiment
In the first embodiment, the interference avoidance space 20 is provided with an opening on the eaves side, but it may be provided with an opening on the ridge side. Also, in the first embodiment, the interference avoidance space 20 is defined by cutting the girder side end 14 of the roof material for renovation 4, but it may be defined by cutting out a part of the roof material for renovation 4.
More specifically, as shown in Figure 14, in the fifth embodiment of the present invention, a cutout 30 is formed in the ridge-side end (ridge-side insertion portion 11) of one target roofing material 4 for renovation, which is roughly home plate-shaped (pentagonal) in plan view and is wider than the girder-direction dimension (width dimension) of the auxiliary device 5. The ridge-side insertion portions 11, which extend in one and other girder directions across this cutout 30, are inserted from the girder side into the overlapping portions 3R of the decorative slates 3 lined up in the eaves-ridge direction, and the eaves-side fold portion 13 is attached to the decorative slate 3 by engaging the eaves-side end 7 of the decorative slate 3 from the eaves side. In other words, the cutout 30 forms an interference avoidance space 20 that opens toward the ridge side.
The water-stopping member 21 is configured in the same manner as the water-stopping member 21 of the second embodiment, and is fixed to the slate surface 3A near the ridge side of the auxiliary tool 5 with the inner surface (V-shaped concave portion) of the rising piece 23 facing the auxiliary tool 5 from the ridge direction. The rising piece 23 is also arranged in a V-shape on the outer ridge side of the auxiliary tool 5 with both girder-side edges roughly aligned with the girder-side edges of the cutout portion 30. This provides the same effects as the first and second embodiments.
Furthermore, in the fifth embodiment, the interference avoidance space 20 is provided with an opening at least on the ridge side. This structure allows the repair roofing material 4 to be easily applied to the decorative slates 3 from the eaves side without interfering with the auxiliary fixtures 5, making it possible to more smoothly re-roof the roof 1.
In addition, in the fifth embodiment, the interference avoidance space 20 is defined by cutting out a portion of the roofing material 4 for renovation. That is, in the fifth embodiment, the interference avoidance space 20 is created by cutting out a portion of the roofing material 4 for renovation. With this structure and method, the interference avoidance space 20 can be easily defined at the construction site in accordance with the placement of the auxiliary tool 5, making it possible to re-roof the roof 1 even more smoothly.
In the roof 1 of the fifth embodiment, similar to the renovation method II of the first embodiment, after the waterproofing member 21 is installed, the renovation roofing material 4 is applied to the surface 3A of the decorative slate 3.
In the roof 1 repair structure of the fifth embodiment described above, the interference avoidance space 20 is defined by cutting out a roughly U-shaped notch in the ridge side end of the repair roofing material 4, but the shape of the notch 30 is not particularly limited as long as it can appropriately avoid interference with the auxiliary device 5. For example, the interference avoidance space 20 may be defined by cutting out a roughly V-shaped notch in the ridge side end of the repair roofing material 4, or by cutting out a roughly semicircular arc shape.
<その他>
<Others>
In the first embodiment described above, a water-stopping member 21 is provided near the interference avoidance space 20, but due to the mounting structure of the auxiliary device 5, even if rainwater flowing down onto the slate surface 3A of the interference avoidance space 20 reaches the mounting portion of the auxiliary device 5, the water-stopping member 21 does not necessarily have to be provided as long as there is no risk of it penetrating to the back side of the decorative slate 3.
(1)。 In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the water-stopping member 21 is provided near the girder side of the auxiliary device 5 with the inner surface (L-shaped concave portion) of the rising piece 23 facing the auxiliary device 5 from the girder direction. However, as shown in Figure 15, the water-stopping member 21 may also be provided near the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5 with the inner surface of the rising piece 23 facing the auxiliary device 5 from the ridge direction (1).
Alternatively, instead of being a frame constructed separately from the roofing material for renovation 4 as in the first embodiment above, the water-stopping member 21 may be formed by bending a rising piece at the end surface of the cut portion of the roofing material for renovation 4 facing the interference avoidance space 20, or waterproof tape or a sealant (water-stopping agent) may be provided near the interference avoidance space 20. However, in these cases, it is preferable that the water-stopping member 21 be provided along approximately the entire length of the end surface of the cut portion.
Specifically, as shown in Figure 16, the water-stopping member 21 is a rising piece formed by bending the end (cut end face) of the repair roofing material 4 facing the interference avoidance space 20, and is formed along the cut end face from the eaves-side fold 13 of the repair roofing material 4 on the ridge side of the auxiliary device 5 to the eaves-side fold 13 of the target repair roofing material 4 (2). Note that in Figure 16, the ridge-side edges of each rising piece are intentionally spaced apart to make it easier to understand that the water-stopping member 21 is a rising piece formed by bending the end face of the repair roofing material 4. However, when considering waterproofing, it is preferable to join the ridge-side edges of the rising pieces and apply a sealing material such as a sealant or waterproof tape to the joint.
(3)。 Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 17, the water-stopping member 21 is, for example, a waterproof tape (so-called butyl tape) made of a polyester-based strip-shaped nonwoven fabric substrate with a butyl rubber-based adhesive applied to the backside, and is attached near the ridge side of the auxiliary member 5 on the slate surface 3A exposed in the interference avoidance space 20. More specifically, the water-stopping member 21 is attached along the cut end face from the eaves-side fold 13 of the roofing material 4 for repair on the ridge side of the auxiliary member 5 to the eaves-side fold 13 of the target roofing material for repair 4, so as to cover the gap 25 at the cut end face of the roofing material 4 for repair facing the interference avoidance space 20 (3).
(4)。 Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 18, the water-stopping member 21 is a silicone-based or urethane-based sealant that is applied to the slate surface 3A exposed in the interference avoidance space 20 near the ridge side of the auxiliary member 5. More specifically, the water-stopping member 21 is applied along the cut end surface from the eaves-side fold 13 of the roofing material 4 for renovation on the ridge side of the auxiliary member 5 to the eaves-side fold 13 of the target roofing material for renovation 4, so as to seal the gap 25 at the cut end surface of the roofing material 4 for renovation facing the interference avoidance space 20 (4).
As described above, in the above embodiments (3) and (4), the water-stopping member 21 is made of waterproof tape. Alternatively, the water-stopping member 21 is made of a water-stopping agent. This eliminates the need to prepare the water-stopping member 21 through sheet metal processing, as in the first embodiment, and allows for easy installation, even by workers without sheet metal processing skills. Furthermore, rainwater that has flowed down into the interference avoidance space 20 can be prevented from seeping through the gap 25 at the end face of the cut portion to the back side of the roof material for repair 4, further improving the waterproofing of the roof 1.
Furthermore, in the above embodiments (1) to (4), the water-stopping member 21 is provided along substantially the entire length of the end (cut end face) of the roof material for repair 4 facing the interference avoidance space 20. This more effectively prevents rainwater that has flowed down into the interference avoidance space 20 from seeping through the gap 25 at the cut end face to the back side of the roof material for repair 4, further improving the waterproofing of the roof 1.
(5)。 In addition, in the roof 1 shown in Figure 19, the water-stopping member 21 is a waterproof tape and sealant that is provided to surround the outer periphery of the auxiliary device 5. More specifically, the waterproof tape 21B is applied along the cut end face of the roofing material 4 for renovation facing the interference avoidance space 20 and along the eaves side end (eaves side fold 13) of the roofing material 4 for renovation on the ridge side. Furthermore, the sealant 21C is applied along the eaves side edge of the slate surface 3A exposed to the interference avoidance space 20 (5).
According to embodiment (5) above, rainwater that has flowed down into the interference avoidance space 20 can be prevented from seeping into the backside of the roofing material 4 for renovation or the backside of the decorative slate 3 from the end face of the cut portion, the eaves side end of the roofing material 4 for renovation on the ridge side, or the eaves side edge of the slate surface 3A exposed in the interference avoidance space 20, thereby further improving the waterproofing of the roof 1.
(6)。 The waterproofing member 21 may also be a combination of a frame made of plate pieces, as in the above embodiment, and waterproof tape or a sealant (waterstop). Specifically, as shown in FIG. 20, a waterproofing member 21A, which is generally L-shaped in plan view and similar to the waterproofing member 21 in the first embodiment, is provided to surround the outer periphery of the auxiliary device 5. Also, a sealant 21C is applied along (almost along the entire length of) the cut end face of the roofing material 4 for repair facing the interference avoidance space 20. Alternatively, waterproof tape 21B is applied. Or both (waterproof tape 21B and sealant 21C) are applied (6).
Alternatively, as shown in Figure 21, in a roof 1 in which a cutout 30 roughly shaped like home plate (pentagonal) in plan view is provided at the ridge-side end of the roofing material for repair 4, as in the fifth embodiment, a water-stopping member 21A having a configuration similar to the water-stopping member 21 of the fifth embodiment is provided on the ridge side of the auxiliary tool 5 as a water-stopping member. Furthermore, waterproof tape 21B is applied along the eaves-side edge of the cut end surface of the cutout 30, or a sealant 21C is applied, or both (waterproof tape 21B and sealant 21C) are applied (7).
Alternatively, as shown in Figure 22, in a roof 1 in which auxiliary fixtures 5 are installed across multiple rows (e.g., two rows) of decorative slates 3 aligned in the eaves-ridge direction, an interference avoidance space 20 is defined between the girder-side ends 14 of the target roofing materials 4 aligned near the girder side of the auxiliary fixture 5, with a V-shaped ridge edge and a roughly home plate-like (pentagonal) shape in plan view that opens toward the eaves, as in the fourth embodiment. Also, between the girder-side ends 14 of the target roofing materials 4 aligned near the girder side of the auxiliary fixture 5, an interference avoidance space 20 is defined that is rectangular in plan view and opens on both sides of the eaves ridge, as in the second embodiment. Furthermore, a water-stopping member 21A is provided near the ridge side of the auxiliary fixture 5, with a roughly U-shaped water-stopping member 21A in plan view, whose central portion is V-convex toward the ridge side. Waterproof tape 21B is applied along the auxiliary fixture-5-side edge of the repair roofing materials 4 aligned near the girder side of the auxiliary fixture 5, near the eaves side. Alternatively, sealant 21C is applied, or both (waterproof tape 21B and sealant 21C) are applied (8). This further improves the waterproofing of roof 1.
