Description

The present invention relates to residential structures, and in particular to residential structures for apartment buildings.

The structure around the entrance of a typical apartment building includes a shoe closet, as shown in Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2002-85171).

In apartment buildings, the amount of space allocated to each unit is limited, and they generally come equipped with a shoe closet. However, there was a need to store more than just shoes in the entrance hall.

The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and its purpose is to provide a housing structure that allows for efficient storage within the limited space around the entrance.

A residential structure according to one aspect of the present invention is a structure around the entrance of a home, and includes a front door, a dirt floor located in front of the front door, a corridor including one side wall and the other side wall and extending away from the front door, a shoe rack located along one side wall of the corridor, and a storage compartment located adjacent to the shoe rack. The shoe rack is positioned opposite the other side wall, with the front door as the reference position, and has an openable front wall, a front wall located at the front end of the front wall, and a rear wall located at the rear end of the front wall. The storage compartment includes a pair of side panels located opposite each other with a gap between them, a back panel connecting the pair of side panels and located in contact with at least one of the front wall or the rear wall, and a top panel covering the upper part of the storage space formed by the pair of side panels and the back panel, and the front portion of the storage compartment facing the back panel is open.

Preferably, the storage compartment includes a hanger pipe or a structure for attaching a hanger pipe.

Preferably, the storage compartment is equipped with height-adjustable shelves.

Preferably, the house further comprises a living room adjacent to the entrance and hallway, one side wall of which doubles as a living room wall, and the living room is rectangular in shape.

Preferably, the shoe rack and storage compartment are located at a height that is a predetermined distance from the floor, with the bottom of the shoe rack and the bottom of the storage compartment being at the same height.

Preferably, the shoe cupboard is positioned so that it spans the dirt floor and the hallway.

Preferably, the width of the side panels of the storage compartment is within the range of 250 to 500 mm.

Preferably, the residence is an apartment building.

This invention allows for efficient storage even in homes with limited living space.

The housing structure according to this embodiment will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that identical or corresponding parts in the drawings will be designated by the same reference numerals, and their description will not be repeated.

Figure 1 is a diagram showing an example of a floor plan of a house that employs a housing structure 1 according to this embodiment. Referring to Figure 1, housing structure 1 according to this embodiment is a structure around the entrance of a house, and includes a front door 2, a dirt floor 3 provided in front of the front door 2, a corridor 4 that includes one side wall 41 and the other side wall 42 and extends away from the front door 2, a shoe closet 5 provided along one side wall 41 of the corridor 4, and a storage compartment 6 provided adjacent to the shoe closet 5.

In the structure around the entrance of an apartment building as shown in Figure 1, a shoe closet 5 and storage compartment 6 are installed across the earthen floor 3 of the entrance 20 and the floor of the hallway 4. In this embodiment, clothing such as jackets are stored in this storage compartment 6.

The residential structure 1 of this embodiment further includes a living room 7 adjacent to the entrance 20 and the hallway 4. In this case, one side wall 41 also serves as a wall of the living room 7, which has a rectangular shape. Therefore, the residential structure 1 of this embodiment can prevent the creation of dead space due to unevenness in the wall of the living room 7.

The housing structure 1 of this embodiment can be used in buildings where it is not possible to secure sufficient space around the entrance, such as a single dwelling unit in an apartment building or a small house (detached house). The following explanation focuses on an example of its use in an apartment building.

<General structure of shoe storage and storage compartment>
(Embodiment 1)
The general structure of the shoe rack 5 and storage compartment 6 will be described with reference to Figure 2. Figure 2 is a diagram schematically illustrating the housing structure 1 according to this embodiment, with (a) showing the shoe rack and storage compartment as viewed from the other end in the width direction, and (b) showing the storage compartment as viewed from the rear in the depth direction. Note that arrow A1 in the figure indicates the depth direction based on the front door, and arrow A2 indicates the width direction of the hallway. Also, to allow the entire shoe rack 5 and storage compartment 6 to be visible, the front wall 51 and side panel 61, which are positioned opposite the other side wall 42, are not shown.

The shoe storage compartment 5 is positioned opposite the other side wall 42, with the front door 2 serving as the reference position, and has an openable front wall 51, a front side wall 52 located at the front end of the front wall 51, and a rear side wall 53 located at the rear end of the front wall 51. Either the front side wall 52 or the rear side wall 53 is in contact with the back panel 63 of the storage compartment 6.

The front wall 51 is typically a double-hinged door with one door on each side that can be opened and closed in the left-right direction. Note that the front wall 51 is not limited to a double-hinged door, and may be, for example, a single-hinged door, a sliding door, or a folding door. A mirror may be provided in part of the front wall 51, allowing the front wall 51 to function as a full-length mirror.

The front wall 52 refers to the wall 52 of the pair of walls 52, 53 of the shoe rack 5 that is located on the side where the entrance door 2 is provided. The rear wall 53 refers to the wall 53 of the pair of walls 52, 53 of the shoe rack 5 that is located on the side where the hallway 4 is provided. The width dimension W2 of the shoe rack 5 in this embodiment, i.e., the dimension W2 between the front wall 52 and the rear wall 53, is, for example, 800 to 1200 mm.

The storage compartment 6 forms a storage space that is roughly rectangular in plan view and is partitioned by a pair of side panels 61, 62 positioned opposite each other with a gap between them, a back panel 63 that connects the pair of side panels 61, 62 and is positioned in contact with the rear wall portion 53, and a top panel 64 that covers the upper part of the storage space formed by the pair of side panels 61, 62 and the back panel 63.

The side panel 61 may be provided with a mirror on the surface facing the other side wall 42 of the corridor 4. This allows one side of the storage compartment 6 to be used as a full-length mirror, making effective use of the limited space. The surface of the side panel 62 facing the one side wall 41 of the corridor 4 may also be fixed to the surface of the one side wall 41, or the corresponding part of the one side wall 41 may be considered to be the side panel 62.

In this embodiment, the width W1 of the side panels 61, 62 of the storage compartment 6, i.e., the depth W1 of the storage compartment 6, is 250 to 500 mm. Preferably, the depth W1 is 250 to 350 mm. As a result, as shown in Figure 3, when clothes such as jackets are stored on the hanger pipe 66 described below, about half of the clothes can protrude (about 200 mm when W1 is 330 mm). This makes it easier to take out clothes and improves convenience around the entrance.

In this embodiment, the back panel 63 of the storage compartment 6 is a plate-like member with a fixed surface facing the rear wall 53 of the shoe compartment 5. The width of the back panel 63 is also the width of the walls 52, 53 of the shoe compartment 5, and is, for example, 300 mm. It is also possible to use the rear wall 53 or front wall 52 of the shoe compartment 5 as the back panel 63 of the storage compartment 6 without providing a plate-like member.

In this embodiment, the top plate 64 of the storage compartment 6 is a plate-like member that covers the upper ends of the pair of side plates 61, 62. As a result, the top plate 64 forms the ceiling of the storage compartment 6. However, it is also possible to consider the ceiling of the corridor 4 to be the top plate 64 without providing a plate-like member.

In this embodiment, the storage compartment 6 has an opening 65 on the front surface facing the back panel 63. In other words, the storage compartment 6 in this embodiment does not have an openable door. This allows stored items to be easily removed.

The storage compartment 6 in this embodiment is equipped with a hanger pipe 66 that spans a pair of side panels 61, 62, or a structure 66 for attaching the hanger pipe. This allows clothing such as jackets to be stored around the entrance. In this embodiment, the hanger pipe 66 is fixed at both ends to the pair of side panels 61, 62, but it may also be fixed to the back panel 63 or hung from above the storage compartment 6.

The storage compartment 6 in this embodiment is equipped with height-adjustable shelves 67. It is preferable to provide one or more shelves 67. In this case, the shelves 67 can be arranged to suit the user's needs using the dowel holes and dowel pins provided in the pair of side panels 61, 62.

In this embodiment, the shoe rack 5 and storage compartment 6 are located at a height a predetermined distance from the floor, with the bottom 54 of the shoe rack 5 and the bottom 68 of the storage compartment 6 being at the same height. The floor here includes the dirt floor 3 and the hallway 4, as well as steps such as step rails. This gives the entrance area a neat appearance and improves the design. The area below the shoe rack 5 and storage compartment 6 naturally has additional storage functions, but from the perspective of improving the design, lighting, for example, may also be provided.

In this embodiment, the shoe storage 5 is positioned across the dirt floor 3 and the hallway 4. This allows the hallway 4 to be spacious even in a limited space such as an apartment building.

In this embodiment, the storage compartment 6 is designed to store clothing and other items, but is not limited to this. For example, by configuring it so that there is no shelf 67 below, it is possible to store items such as strollers on the floor, or by installing the shelf 67 at eye level, it can be used as a display shelf, or by installing the shelf 67 at waist height, it is possible to store hygiene products such as hand sanitizer around the entrance.

In addition, the opening 65 of the storage compartment 6 in this embodiment is in a blind spot when viewed from the entrance 20, making it difficult for visitors to see. Because clothing is stored here, convenience for residents is improved, while also improving the design of the interior when viewed from the entrance door 2.

Generally, shoe racks in apartment buildings are recessed into the step in the hallway wall. In contrast, in the present invention, a storage compartment 6 is provided to the side of the shoe rack 5, so the shoe rack 5 is formed to protrude from the wall 41 of the hallway 4. As a result, the width of the hallway 4 is necessarily wider than before, creating an open space in the hallway 4 similar to a foyer.

Furthermore, the residential structure 1 is installed on the surface of the flat wall 41 of the corridor 4. As a result, the living room 7 adjacent to the corridor 4 has a simple, approximately rectangular shape, allowing for effective use of the space within the living room 7.

(Embodiment 2)
Next, referring to Fig. 4(b), a description will be given of a housing structure 1A according to a second embodiment. The housing structure 1A according to the second embodiment has a configuration basically similar to that of the housing structure 1A according to the first embodiment, but differs mainly in the arrangement of the storage compartments 6A, as shown in Figs. 4(a) and 4(b).

The storage compartment 6A of the housing structure 1A forms a storage space that is roughly rectangular in plan view and is partitioned by a pair of side panels 61A, 62A positioned opposite each other with a gap between them, a back panel 63A that connects the pair of side panels 61A, 62A and is positioned in contact with the front wall portion 52A of the shoe storage compartment 5A, and a top panel that covers the upper part of the storage space formed by the pair of side panels 61A, 62A and the back panel 63A.

In this embodiment, the opening 65A of the storage compartment 6A faces forward when viewed from the entrance door 2. In other words, the storage compartment 6A in this embodiment does not have an openable door on the front side when viewed from the entrance 20. This allows stored items to be easily retrieved from the entrance 20 or the earthen floor 3.

<About usage conditions>
The use state of the housing structure 1 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 3 and 4. Figure 3 is a front view showing the use state of the storage compartment room 6 according to this embodiment. Figure 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the traffic flow of the housing structure according to this embodiment, where (a) shows the traffic flow of the first embodiment and (b) shows the traffic flow of the second embodiment.

The traffic flow of the residential structure 1 of embodiment 1 will be described with reference to Figures 3 and 4(a). In this embodiment, the opening 65 of the storage compartment 6 faces the depth of the hallway 4, allowing residents to get ready along a simple traffic flow from the depth of the hallway 4 toward the front door 2. In other words, the residential structure 1 allows for a simple and short traffic flow for getting ready.

When a resident of residential structure 1 wants to go outside, they go from the living room through the front of the opening 65 in the storage compartment 6, through the earthen floor 3, and the front door 2 before heading outside. In other words, when a resident of residential structure 1 gets ready in the living room (not shown), which is located in the depth direction, they can put on a jacket and go out without having to take it out of the closet (not shown) in their room 7. This allows them to get ready in a short amount of time without having to go in and out of other rooms.

The traffic flow of the residential structure 1A of embodiment 2 will be described with reference to Figure 4(b). In this embodiment, the opening 65 of the storage compartment 6A faces toward the front door 2, simplifying and shortening the traffic flow for returning home.

When a resident returns home from outside, the route they take in residential structure 1A is from the front door 2, through the front of the opening 65A in the storage compartment 6A, down the hallway 4, and on to the living room, etc. In other words, residential structure 1A allows a resident returning home from outside to move to the living room without storing their coat in the closet (not shown) in their room 7. This prevents dust and bacteria that have accumulated outdoors from being brought inside the home.

Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above with reference to the drawings, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments. Various modifications and variations can be made to the illustrated embodiments within the same scope as the present invention or within an equivalent scope.
