Description

This invention relates to a compact toy that allows for play with makeup and dolls.

Conventionally, compact toys have been provided that imitate makeup compacts and allow children to play with makeup. The compact toy in Patent Document 1 comprises a main body and a lid that is attached to the main body via a hinge and can be opened and closed. The main body of this compact toy contains a makeup tool that resembles a puff, and an ornament that is attached to the main body and has identification information. Multiple types of ornaments are available, and when attached to the main body, sound and light effects corresponding to the type are produced.

Patent Document 2 also discloses a doll dressing table that allows users to play with dolls by dressing them in accessories and personal items.

Children who use toys often want to be able to apply makeup to their favorite dolls while they are playing with their own makeup. They also want such toys to be portable and easy to play with. However, with conventional toys, the toy for makeup play and the toy for doll play are separate, making them inconvenient to carry around and, what's more, the play can become monotonous and children can quickly become bored of them.

The objective of this invention is to provide a compact toy that can be used for both makeup play and doll play, combining the fun of play with makeup and doll play, while also being easy to carry and use.

One embodiment of the present invention provides a toy for playing with dolls, comprising a main body having legs and a storage section, and a lid section that is attached to the main body via a hinge section and has a mirror on its inner surface, the lid section having a decorative section that protrudes above the hinge section, wherein an inner lid is detachably attached to the storage section, and a puff member is detachably attached to the inner lid, the puff member having a plate-shaped seat member and leg members that are rotatably attached to the seat member and are adjacent to it when folded .

The above aspect combines makeup play with doll play, allowing users to experience new fun and providing a compact toy that can also be used as a doll play, making it easy to carry.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the compact toy 10 for use with dolls has a case that is generally oval in plan view and includes a main body 30 with a lid 20. As shown in Figure 2, the lid 20 is provided so that it can be opened and closed via a hinge 40. In the following description, the side with the hinge 40 provided will be referred to as the rear, and the opposite side will be referred to as the front. The left and right directions when viewing the compact toy 10 for use with dolls from the front will be referred to as the left and right directions, with the lid 20 side referred to as the top and the main body 30 side referred to as the bottom.

The compact toy 10 for both doll play and play (hereinafter referred to as "compact toy 10") is a toy that can be used for makeup play, similar to using a makeup compact, and can also be used as a dresser toy for doll play using a relatively small doll. It will be explained in detail below.

As shown in FIG. 1, a first jewel part 21 resembling a jewel is provided in the center of the top surface of the lid part 20. A decorative part 25 that protrudes rearward is provided above the hinge part 40 on the lid part 20. In other words, the decorative part 25 is provided above the hinge part 40 and protrudes rearward from the outer surface of the lid part 20. The decorative part 25 has a second jewel part 22 in the center as a decoration resembling a jewel, and is generally ribbon-shaped.

As shown in Figure 2, the hinge 40 has a bearing 41 that protrudes from the lid 20 in a plate-like shape with its flat surface facing left and right. A hole (not shown) is provided in the bearing 41, and boss-shaped shafts (not shown) that protrude in opposing directions and face two grooves 42 in the main body 30 engage with the hole, allowing for free rotation. The hinge 40 allows the lid 20 to be opened and closed freely.

The main body 30 has four legs 31 extending downward. The legs 31 are located on the left and right sides, front and back of the main body 30, and come into contact with the installation surface DT, such as a desk, when the compact toy 10 is placed on it (see Figure 6).

As shown in Figure 1, an opening/closing notch 50 is provided in the center of the front of the compact toy 10. The opening/closing notch 50 is formed so that the protrusion on the lid portion 20 and the protrusion on the main body portion 30 can slide over and fit together. The opening/closing notch 50 reduces the likelihood of the lid portion 20 opening due to impact or other factors without user operation.

As shown in Figure 3, with the lid 20 open, the main body 30 is provided with an inner lid 60. The inner lid 60 is decorated with various ornaments on its top surface, and has tongue-shaped handles 61 on both the left and right ends. These two handles 61 are located in cutouts 32 formed on the top left and right ends of the main body 30. The inner lid 60 is detachably placed on the main body 30 by engaging the handles 61 with the cutouts 32. Figure 4 shows the state with the inner lid 60 removed. The main body 30 below the inner lid 60 is provided with a storage compartment 33 in which other toys can be stored.

Returning to Figure 3, a recess 62 is provided on the top surface of the inner lid 60, and a puff member 70 is housed therein. The puff member 70 is shaped to resemble a puff and has a seat member 71 that serves as the puff surface, and two ribbon-shaped leg members 72 that resemble puff handles. Each leg member 72 is rotatable relative to the seat member 71, with a boss-shaped shaft inserted into a hole in a bearing portion 73 provided opposite the seat member 71. As shown in Figure 5, the puff member 70 can be used as a chair toy, such as a doll's chair, by rotating the leg members 72 in an open manner. When used as a chair toy, a portion of the tip end surface 72a of each leg member 72 abuts the setting surface, but when folded and used as a puff toy, the tip end surfaces 72a are close together and face each other, as shown in Figure 3.

A double-door door 26 is provided inside the lid 20 to cover the inner surface of the lid 20. The door 26 is rotatable relative to the lid 20 via door hinges 27 provided on the left and right sides of the lid 20. The surface of the door 26 is decorated with a pattern resembling cosmetics. A ribbon-shaped door handle 28 is provided on the door 26 on the side of the door notch 50. When the lid 20 is closed, a portion of the door handle 28 protrudes forward from the lid 20 and main body 30 in a tongue-like shape (see Figure 1). When the lid 20 is closed as shown in Figure 1, the door handle 28 can be lifted to open the lid 20 as shown in Figure 3. Therefore, the door handle 28 also functions as a handle for the lid 20.

As shown in Figure 5, when the lid 20 is opened and the opening door 26 is opened, the mirror 24 on the inside surface of the lid 20 can be exposed. In this way, the mirror 24 is provided on the inside surface of the lid 20, and the opening door 26 is provided directly in front of the mirror 24. In addition, support plates 26a that stand perpendicular to the opening door 26 are provided on the back side of each opening door 26 in three locations on each side (six locations on both sides). Extending vertically upward in Figure 5 from the support plates 26a are engagement plates 26b. Small items such as accessories (not shown) can be hooked onto the engagement plates 26b for installation.

In addition, in Figure 5, a ribbon-shaped restricting protrusion 23 is provided below the mirror 24 on the inner surface of the lid portion 20. Meanwhile, a restricting plate 26c is provided on the underside of the opening/closing door 26. The restricting plate 26c comes close to or abuts against the restricting protrusion 23 when the opening/closing door 26 is closed. This prevents the opening/closing door 26 from being pushed too far into the lid portion 20 when the opening/closing door 26 is closed. Note that the door handle 28 of the opening/closing door 26, which is located above the restricting plate 26c, also abuts against the edge of the lid portion 20, thereby similarly restricting the closing movement of the opening/closing door 26 when the opening/closing door 26 is closed.

As shown in Figure 6, when the compact toy 10 is placed on a desk or other installation surface DT and the lid 20 is opened, the tip of the decorative part 25 abuts the installation surface DT when the lid 20 is opened at approximately 90 degrees relative to the installation surface DT. This allows the mirror 24 and opening/closing door 26 on the lid 20 to be installed perpendicular to the installation surface DT. As a result, as shown in Figure 5, the compact toy 10 can be used as a dressing toy for doll play, with the puff member 70 acting as a chair toy.

In other words, by setting the amount of protrusion of the decorative portion 25 rearward from above the hinge portion 40, the lid portion 20 on which the mirror 24 is mounted can be held at an appropriate angle when the compact toy 10 is placed on the installation surface DT. Furthermore, because the decorative portion 25 that supports the lid portion 20 is decorated, the compact toy 10 can be given a natural appearance.
