Description

This invention relates to a head protection device, such as a disaster prevention hood, that is configured to be unfolded so as to be worn over the head when in use, and folded when not in use.

Conventionally, head protection devices such as disaster prevention hoods are known, which are worn on the heads of victims of disasters such as earthquakes and fires when evacuating, to protect the wearer's (hereinafter referred to as "wearer"; the same applies in this specification) head from falling objects and flying objects.

As an example of such head protection, a disaster prevention hood is known that comprises an outer member made of a flat plate folded along a first fold line, and an inner member made of a flat plate folded along a second fold line. The inner member is sandwiched inside the outer member with the second fold line aligned with the first fold line, creating a gap between its own second fold line portion and the first fold line portion of the outer member, and the portions on both sides of the second fold line that are separated from the second fold line are fixed to the outer member (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This disaster prevention hood described in Patent Document 1, due to its simple structure, is used not only by adults but also by many infants and children, and is widely used in nurseries, kindergartens, elementary schools, etc.

Japanese Patent Publication No. 2021-20026

However, the disaster prevention hood described in Patent Document 1 consists only of a cloth covering that covers the head and a chin strap. When the wearer uses it, they simply place the covering over their head and fasten the chin strap. Therefore, this disaster prevention hood is prone to shifting during the wearer's movements, potentially falling off during evacuation or obstructing their vision, thus failing to protect them from falling or flying objects. Furthermore, wearers who evacuate from a disaster often stay in evacuation shelters for extended periods, sitting for long durations. However, the floors of evacuation shelters may be made of hard materials such as planks or concrete, or uneven ground like gravel. Sitting in such places for extended periods can cause discomfort and pain. The invention described in Patent Document 1 lacks any features to alleviate this discomfort and pain in evacuation shelters, thus failing to reduce the inconvenience experienced by wearers in such locations.

This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a head protection device that can be attached to the head of a wearer evacuating from a disaster, and that can also make the wearer's seated posture comfortable after evacuation.

The embodiments of this invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

[Embodiment 1 of the Invention]
Figures 1 to 14 show Embodiment 1 of the present invention.

[Overall structure]
First, to briefly explain the structure, the disaster prevention hood 10A, which serves as a "head protector" in this embodiment 1 as shown in Figures 1 to 3, is a disaster prevention hood for children, and is sized to be suitable for children such as preschoolers and schoolchildren to wear on their heads. However, the disaster prevention hood 10A may also be sized to be suitable for an average adult to wear on their head.

[Unfolded state and folded state]
The disaster prevention hood 10A of this embodiment 1 can be formed into an unfolded state (hereinafter simply referred to as "unfolded state") that covers at least the head of the wearer 100 (see Figures 11 to 14), as shown in Figures 1 and 2. On the other hand, the disaster prevention hood 10A can change its shape to a folded state (hereinafter simply referred to as "folded state") that is smaller than the unfolded state. In the folded state, the disaster prevention hood 10A can take the shape of a flat, roughly rectangular plate in plan view, for example (see Figure 31(c)). As will be described later, the disaster prevention hood 10A in the folded state can be used as a cushion for the wearer 100 to sit on.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the disaster prevention hood 10A of this embodiment 1 broadly comprises a head protection portion 11, a covering portion 12, and an interior material 13.

[Parietal protection part]
As shown in Figures 4 to 7, the crown protection portion 11 is mainly made of a hard material. The crown protection portion 11 protects the crown and surrounding area of the head of the wearer 100 wearing the disaster prevention hood 10A from impacts caused by falling objects and penetrations and impacts caused by flying protrusions.

As shown in Figures 3, 5, and 6, the crown protection portion 11 is formed in a roughly rectangular, elongated plate shape when viewed from above.

The head protection section 11 is positioned so that its longitudinal direction aligns with the front-to-back direction of the wearer's head, including the top of the wearer's head, when the disaster prevention hood 10A is attached to the wearer's head 100. This allows for protection of a wide area, including the top of the wearer's head, from the impact of falling objects and penetration by protrusions.

The crown protection portion 11 may have any shape and be positioned in any location as long as it can protect a wide area including the crown of the wearer's head 100. For example, the crown protection portion 11 may be formed in the shape of a long, narrow, roughly rectangular column. Furthermore, the crown protection portion 11 may be positioned along the left-right direction of the wearer's head including the crown, or diagonally across the head including the crown. Also, the crown protection portion 11 may be positioned only in the front direction, only in the back direction, only in the left direction, only in the right direction, etc., including the crown of the wearer's head, and may have shapes other than a long, narrow, roughly rectangular shape, such as an ellipse, hexagon, or octagon in plan view.

As shown in Figures 4, 5, and 6, the crown protection section 11 comprises a crown protection main body section 14, a contact section 15, and a peripheral protection section 16. As will be described later, the peripheral protection section 16 performs both the function of a "crown protection section" and a "hammock."

The crown protection body 14 is formed from a highly rigid, hard material such as polypropylene.

The crown protection body 14 is formed in a roughly plate-like shape with a length approximately equal to the diameter of the wearer's head 100. However, the length of the crown protection body 14 may be longer or shorter than the diameter of the wearer's head 100, as long as it can protect the area near the crown of the wearer's head 100. Furthermore, the width and thickness of the crown protection body 14 may be of any size, as long as sufficient rigidity to protect the area near the crown of the wearer's head 100 is ensured.

As shown in Figures 5 and 6, screws 14a, 14a are provided at both ends of the crown protection body portion 14. As shown in Figure 7, the crown protection portion 11 and the covering portion 12 are fastened together by screws 14a, 14a.

As shown in Figures 5 and 6, a pair of locking parts 17 extending downwards are provided on the lower side of the crown protection main body 14. Wedge-shaped locking projections 18 are provided at the tips of the locking parts 17. Furthermore, peripheral protection parts 16, 16 are provided on both longitudinal sides of the crown protection main body 14. In this embodiment 1, the peripheral protection parts 16, 16 are positioned closer to the front (towards the left in Figure 5) than the longitudinal center, and their length L2 is longer than the length L1 shown in Figure 5. This allows the peripheral protection parts 16 to be positioned at the crown of the head, with the wearer 100's face exposed from the front when the wearer 100 puts on the disaster prevention hood 10A. However, the position of the peripheral protection parts 16, 16 relative to the crown protection main body 14 may be any position as long as the safety of the wearer 100's head and good visibility are ensured.

As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the contact portion 15 is positioned below the main body of the head protection unit 14. The contact portion 15 is made of a softer material than the main body of the head protection unit 14, such as expanded polystyrene. However, it is desirable that the contact portion 15 has sufficient rigidity to mitigate the impact on the wearer's head 100 while preventing deformation or fracture of the main body of the head protection unit 14 when it is struck by a falling object or protrusion.

As shown in Figure 4, the contact portion 15, in a plan view, is a roughly elongated rectangle, similar to the main body of the crown protection portion 14, but as shown in Figure 5, it is shorter in length than the main body of the crown protection portion 14. Furthermore, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, the contact portion 15 forms a downward projection 19 at its approximate center in a front view. This downward projection 19 contacts the crown and surrounding area of the wearer's 100 when the wearer 100 is wearing the device. The length of the contact portion 15 and the position and size of the downward projection 19 can be any, as long as they ensure a position and size that prevents deformation or breakage of the main body of the crown protection portion 14 when the crown protection portion 11 is subjected to external impact, and that mitigates the impact on the wearer's 100's crown.

As shown in Figures 2 and 5, a pair of holes 20 are formed through the contact portion 15 at positions corresponding to the locking portion 17. As shown in Figure 5, the locking projection 18 of the locking portion 17 engages with these holes 20. This creates a state where the contact portion 15 is locked to the head protection body portion 14.

[Surrounding Area Protection Department]
As shown in Figures 3 to 6, the crown protection portion 11 is equipped with a pair of peripheral protection portions 16, 16.

As shown in Figure 4, each peripheral protection section 16 is connected to both sides of the approximately central portion of the crown protection main body 14 by hinges 21. The peripheral protection sections 16 are positioned to contact the vicinity of the crown of the wearer 100 when the wearer 100 puts on the disaster prevention hood 10A. Alternatively, the peripheral protection sections 16 may be configured to contact the crown of the wearer 100 when the wearer puts on the hood.

As shown in Figures 4 to 7, the peripheral protection unit 16 comprises a peripheral protection main body 22 and an impact absorption unit 23.

Each peripheral protection body portion 22 is formed in a roughly semicircular shape in plan view from a highly rigid, hard material such as polypropylene, similar to the top protection body portion 14. A hinge 21 is provided near the upper end of the peripheral protection body portion 22. Above the hinge 21, a hinge protection portion 24 is formed to prevent external flying objects or protrusions from colliding with the hinge 21.

The crown protection main body 14, the peripheral protection main body 22, the hinge 21, and the front retaining part 45a and rear retaining part 45b (described later) are integrally formed by resin molding. However, the crown protection main body 14, the peripheral protection main body 22, and the hinge 21 may be constructed by assembling separate components.

The shock-absorbing section 23 is made of a material that is softer than the peripheral protective body section 22 and absorbs impact by elastically deforming when an external impact is applied, such as expanded polystyrene. As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the shock-absorbing section 23 is formed in a substantially semicircular shape with the same plan view shape as the end side of the peripheral protective body section 22 (the position that does not contact the contact section 15 when the peripheral protective section 16 is folded using the hinge 21).

As shown in Figure 4, the hinge 21 is thinner than the crown protection main body 14 and the peripheral protection main body 22, and connects the crown protection main body 14 and the peripheral protection main body 22. The peripheral protection portion 16, including the peripheral protection main body 22, rotates along the longitudinal direction of the crown protection main body 14 at the hinge 21. Each peripheral protection portion 16 is formed to be rotatable relative to the crown protection main body 14, depending on the change in the shape of the covering portion 12 between the unfolded and folded states of the disaster prevention hood 10A.

[Covered part]
As shown in Figures 1, 2, and 7, the disaster prevention hood 10A of this embodiment 1 includes a covering portion 12. The covering portion 12 covers almost the entire upper, both sides, and back of the top protection portion 11, and extends downward from the top protection portion 11. As a result, the covering portion 12 covers the wearer's head, neck, and shoulders. The covering portion 12 may cover any portion below the wearer's head.

The covering portion 12 is formed by sewing together one end (upper side) and one side (rear side) of a roughly rectangular right-side member 25 and a roughly rectangular left-side member 26. The covering portion 12 is softer and more cushioned than the crown protection portion 11, and is made of a roughly rectangular fabric (for example, flame-retardant polyester, or cotton or polyester with aluminum vapor deposition) that has been treated to be flame-retardant.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, chin strap insertion holes 27 for inserting the chin strap 47 are formed through the lower front sides of both sides of the covering portion 12. Additionally, listening holes 28 for the wearer 100 to hear external sounds are formed through the approximate center of both sides of the covering portion 12.

。 The covering portion 12 is configured so that the upper portion 12a and the lower portion 12b can be folded to form a roughly rectangular mat. Specifically, for example, after joining the right-side member 25 and the left-side member 26 to form a flat shape, the boundary between the upper portion 12a and the lower portion 12b of the right-side member 25 is folded in a valley fold, and the upper portion 12a and the lower portion 12b of the left-side member 26 are folded in a mountain fold to form the disaster prevention hood 10A as a roughly rectangular mat (see Figure 31(c)).

[Interior materials]
As shown in Figure 3, the interior material 13 of this embodiment 1 comprises a headband 30, a hammock 31, and a string portion 32. The headband 30 is mainly worn on the wearer 100 from the forehead through the temples to the back of the head, the hammock 31 is mainly worn near the top of the wearer 100's head, and the string portion 32 is mainly worn from around the wearer 100's ears to the chin.

[Headband]
As shown in Figure 3, the headband 30 comprises a right-side member 33 and a left-side member 34. The right-side member 33 and the left-side member 34 are made of a synthetic resin, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, which has flexibility and rigidity and is resistant to stretching and loss of rigidity even with repeated or long-term use. However, they may be made of any material that has similar properties.

As shown in Figure 8, the left-side member 34 is provided with a strip-shaped temporal contact portion 35. In use, this temporal contact portion 35 has its longitudinal direction approximately horizontal and contacts the right temporal side of the head.

。 As shown in Figure 8, the upper edge 35a of the temporal contact portion 35 is approximately horizontal, while the lower edge 35b curves upward from both ends towards the center. Therefore, the width WA of the central part of the temporal contact portion 35 is narrower than the width WB of the sides. For reference, Figure 8 also shows a hypothetical lower edge 35c, assuming the lower edge is approximately horizontal. The effects of the hypothetical lower edge 35c will be described later (see [(2) Effects Based on Headband Shape]).

The temporal contact portion 35 has a front connecting piece 36 and a rear connecting piece 37 projecting upward. Hammock holding holes 38 are formed at the upper ends of the front connecting piece 36 and the rear connecting piece 37.

Furthermore, the rear connecting piece 37 is formed to be longer than the front connecting piece 36. This allows the temporal contact portion 35 to be attached to the wearer's head 100 in a manner where the rear side is inclined downwards, resulting in a stable and comfortable fit.

The front end of the right-side member 33 has a pair of upper and lower ear strap insertion holes 39, 39 and a connecting strap insertion hole 40. The rear end of the left-side member 34 has a pair of upper and lower ear strap insertion holes 41, 41 and a connecting strap insertion hole 42. The upper and lower ear strap insertion holes 39, 39, 41, 41 are configured so that the ear straps 46 can be inserted either upwards or downwards, depending on the size of the wearer's head 100.

Although not shown in Figure 8, the right-side member 33 is configured symmetrically with the left-side member 34.

The front connecting cord 43 is inserted through the front connecting cord insertion hole 40 of the right-side member 33 and the left-side member 34 to connect them, and the rear connecting cord 44 is inserted through the rear connecting cord insertion hole 42 of the respective members to connect them (see Figure 9). The front connecting cord 43 and the rear connecting cord 44 are formed from an elastic, elongated material, such as a rubber band. As shown in Figure 9, an adjustable cord stopper 43a is attached to the end of the front connecting cord 43. As shown in Figure 2, a similar cord stopper 43a is attached to the end of the rear connecting cord 44. The front connecting cord 43 and the rear connecting cord 44 secure the headband 30 to the wearer's head by the tension created when the disaster prevention hood 10A is worn on the wearer's head 100.

As shown in Figures 2, 3, and 9, a band-shaped forehead rest 45 is positioned on the front side of the headband 30, inside the front connecting string 43. The forehead rest 45 is made of a flexible and moisture-absorbing fabric, alleviating the discomfort of the front connecting string 43 directly contacting the wearer's forehead and the discomfort of sweat dripping onto the face.

[hammock]
As shown in Figures 3, 5, and 6, each peripheral protection portion 16 of this embodiment 1 is provided with a strip-shaped front holding portion 45a and a rear holding portion 45b extending in the planar direction. The peripheral protection portion 16, the front holding portion 45a, and the rear holding portion 45b constitute the hammock 31 of this embodiment 1.

The hammock 31 contacts the top of the wearer's head or the area near the top of the head, securing the interior material 13 to the wearer's head and mitigating the impact on the top of the head in the event of a collision with a falling or flying object.

[String part]
As shown in Figure 3, the strap portion 32 of the interior material 13 comprises a pair of ear straps 46, 46 positioned on the wearer's ears and a pair of chin straps 47, 47 positioned on the wearer's chin. Both the ear straps 46 and the chin straps 47 are formed in a strip shape from a highly rigid material, such as synthetic fiber such as polypropylene. The ear straps 46 are attached and fixed with mounting screws 47a with both ends folded back to form an annular shape. The base end of the chin strap 47 is attached to the ear straps 46 with mounting screws 47b with the end folded back to form an annular shape.

As shown in Figure 2, each ear loop 46 is provided inside the covering portion 12. One end and the other end of each ear loop 46 are fixed in place by being inserted through the ear loop insertion holes 39 and 41 of the right-side member 33 and the left-side member 34, respectively.

As shown in Figure 2, the chin strap 47 is inserted through the chin strap insertion hole 27 of the covering portion 12, with its tip positioned on the outside of the covering portion 12.

As shown in Figure 10, a connecting member 48, acting as a "chin strap fixing part," is provided midway along the chin strap 47, which is located on the outside of the covering portion 12. This connecting member 48 is formed in a roughly disc shape, with one side forming a connecting surface 49 on which a hook-and-loop fastener is provided. Each connecting member 48 is designed to slide along the chin strap 47 from the tip to the base end, allowing it to be fixed at a desired portion of the chin strap 47.

Furthermore, the connecting member 48 does not necessarily need to be provided separately for each chin strap 47, 47. A single connecting member 48 may be used to insert both chin straps 47, 47, acting as a movable cord stopper on each strap. Alternatively, fastening members such as hook-and-loop fasteners may be directly attached to the chin straps 47, 47, allowing them to be directly connected at the desired position. Additionally, the connecting surface 49 of the connecting member 48 may be provided with fastening members other than hook-and-loop fasteners, such as hooks or clips.

[Usage status]
First, the case in which the disaster prevention hood 10A of this embodiment 1 is used to protect the head of the wearer 100 will be described below in (1) to (3).

[(1) Formation of the deployed state and attachment to the head]
The wearer 100 expands the covering portion 12 of the folded disaster prevention hood 10A in the vertical direction. Specifically, the upper portion 12a and lower portion 12b of the right-side member 25, which is folded in a valley fold, and the upper portion 12a and lower portion 12b of the left-side member 26, which is folded in a mountain fold, so that both the right-side member 25 and the left-side member 26 are exposed and flat (see Figure 31(c)). Furthermore, the wearer 100 expands the right-side member 25 and the left-side member 26 of the covering portion 12 in the left-right direction (see Figures 1 and 2). At this time, the hammock 31 fixed to the covering portion 12 with screws 97 and the headband 30 fixed to the hammock 31 with screws 96 also expand to the left and right. As a result, the disaster prevention hood 10A is in the expanded state shown in Figures 1 and 2.

In this state, as shown in Figure 11, the wearer 100 puts the disaster prevention hood 10A on their head. Then, as shown in Figure 12, the wearer 100 connects the connecting surfaces 49, 49 of the connecting members 48, 48 of the pair of chin straps 47, 47. Furthermore, as shown in Figure 13, the connecting members 48, 48 are pulled up towards the base end (arrow C in Figure 13). This fastens the chin straps 47, 47 to the wearer 100's chin. The headband 30 of the disaster prevention hood 10A is then fixed from the wearer 100's forehead through the temples to the back of the head, and the hammock 31 is fixed near the top of the wearer 100's head.

This ensures that the disaster prevention hood 10A is firmly fixed to the wearer's head 100 in a way that prevents displacement or detachment. Furthermore, the main head protection section 14 is positioned from the top of the wearer's head in the front-to-back direction, and the peripheral protection section 16 is positioned around the top of the head. These sections mitigate the impact of falling objects hitting the top of the head and its surrounding areas, and prevent penetration of the head by protruding objects.

As shown in Figure 11, gaps 49a are formed on both sides of the crown protection main body 14. However, the size of the gaps 49a (the distance from the wearer's head 100 to the inside of the covering portion 12) is greater than or equal to the thickness 49b of the surrounding protection portion 16. Therefore, even if a protrusion collides with and penetrates the gaps 49a, it is possible to prevent that protrusion from reaching the wearer's head 100.

[(2) Effects based on the shape of the headband]
Here, we will explain the effects of the shape of the temporal contact portion 35 of the headband 30 when worn.

If the lower side of the temporal contact portion 35 were approximately horizontal, as shown in Figure 8 (the hypothetical lower edge 35c), then the width WA2 of the central part of the temporal contact portion 35 would be approximately the same as the width WB on both sides, resulting in high rigidity. Therefore, applying force in the direction along the plate surface of the temporal contact portion 35 would make it difficult to significantly curve the central part. Consequently, if the central part of the temporal contact portion 35 were curved to conform to the wearer's head (100), it would be difficult to achieve a shape close to the curved surface of the head, making it difficult for the wearer (100) to obtain a good fit.

Furthermore, because the central part of the temporal contact portion 35 is not significantly curved, as shown in Figure 14(a), the upper edge 35a of the temporal contact portion 35 comes into contact with the temporal region of the wearer 100. In other words, the temporal contact portion 35 comes into contact with the upper side of the wearer 100's head. This makes it difficult for the wearer 100 to feel that the headband 30 is worn deeply, thus making it difficult to achieve a good fit.

Furthermore, the virtual lower edge 35c of the temporal contact portion 35 protrudes significantly outward from the temporal region of the wearer 100, creating a large gap WC2 between the virtual lower edge 35c and the temporal region of the wearer 100. If the temporal contact portion 35 is pulled down forcefully in this state, the virtual lower edge 35c outside the large gap WC2 will come into contact with the wearer 100's earlobe, causing the wearer 100 to experience ear pain.

On the other hand, as shown in Figure 8, the headband 30 of this embodiment 1 has a shape in which the lower edge 35b of the temporal contact portion 35 curves upward from both ends toward the center. Furthermore, the width WA1 of the central part of the temporal contact portion 35 is narrower than the width WB on both sides. Therefore, when force is applied to the temporal contact portion 35 in a direction along the plate surface, the degree of curvature is greater in the central part with width WA1 than in the side parts with width WB. And, when the central part of the temporal contact portion 35 is curved along a curved surface, it is easy to curve it to a shape close to that curved surface.

Therefore, when the temporal contact portion 35 is curved to conform to the temporal region of the wearer 100, the central part of the temporal contact portion 35 curves to a shape close to the curvature of the wearer 100's temporal region, as shown in Figure 14(b). Thus, a good fit can be provided to the wearer 100.

Furthermore, due to the significant curvature of the central portion of the temporal contact area 35, as shown in Figure 14(b), the portion below the upper edge 35a of the temporal contact area 35 contacts the temporal region of the wearer 100. In other words, the temporal contact area 35 contacts the lower side of the wearer 100's head. Therefore, the wearer 100 can easily perceive the headband 30 as being worn deeply, resulting in a good fit.

Furthermore, as shown in Figure 14(b), the gap WC1 between the lower edge 35b of the temporal contact portion 35 and the temporal region of the wearer 100 is smaller than the gap WC2 (see Figure 14(a)). Therefore, even if the temporal contact portion 35 is pulled down forcefully, the gap WC1 is small, so the lower edge 35b will not come into contact with the wearer 100's earlobe, preventing the wearer 100 from experiencing ear pain. On the other hand, as shown in Figure 8, the width WB on both sides of the temporal contact portion 35 is larger than the width WA1 in the central part, thus ensuring the overall rigidity of the temporal contact portion 35.

Furthermore, the temporal contact portions 35 of the right-side member 33 and the left-side member 34 may be configured in any shape other than those shown in Figure 8, as long as the central portion easily curves to a shape close to the curvature of the wearer's head 100 and provides a good fit to the wearer 100. For example, the central portion of the lower edge 35b of the temporal contact portion 35 may be formed in a convex step shape or an inverted V shape facing upwards. Also, a hole such as a slit may be formed in the central part of the plate surface of the temporal contact portion 35. Alternatively, the central portion of the upper edge 35a of the temporal contact portion 35 may be formed in a downward arc shape, a convex step shape facing downwards, or a V shape facing downwards. Furthermore, any configuration other than those exemplified above is acceptable as long as it achieves the above objective.

[(3) Formation of a folded state and use as a mat]
Next, we will explain the case where the disaster prevention hood 10A worn by the wearer 100 is used as a mat.

The wearer 100 pulls down the connecting members 48, 48 towards the tip (arrow D in Figure 13) as shown in Figure 13, and removes the disaster prevention hood 10A from their head. Next, the wearer 100 narrows and folds the interior material 13 and the right member 25 and left member 26 of the covering part 12 of the disaster prevention hood 10A in the left-right direction. Furthermore, the wearer 100 folds the covering part 12 of the disaster prevention hood 10A in the up-down direction. Specifically, the boundary between the upper part 12a and the lower part 12b of the right member 25 is valley-folded, and the boundary between the upper part 12a and the lower part 12b of the left member 26 is mountain-folded (see Figure 31(c)). As a result, the disaster prevention hood 10A becomes a flat folded state that is roughly rectangular in plan view. In this state, the wearer 100 can place the disaster prevention hood 10A on the floor or other surface and sit on it. At this time, the disaster prevention hood 10A functions as a comfortable seating surface for the wearer 100 due to the flexibility of its covering portion 12.

[Effects and Effects]
As described above, in this embodiment 1, a covering portion 12 is provided which is made of a soft, cushioning material and extends downward from the top of the head protection portion 11 to cover at least the head of the wearer 100, and an interior material 13 is provided inside the covering portion 12 to fix the covering portion 12 to the head of the wearer 100. In the event of disaster evacuation, when the wearer 100 puts on the disaster prevention hood 10A in the deployed state, the covering portion 12 which protects the entire head of the wearer 100 from flying objects and heat is fixed to the head of the wearer 100 by the interior material 13. This prevents the covering portion 12 from shifting due to movement of the wearer's body or head, from coming off the wearer's head, or from covering the wearer's eyes and obstructing their vision, thereby continuously ensuring the safety of the wearer 100. Furthermore, the interior material 13 deforms into a flat shape when folded, forming the disaster prevention hood 10A into a shape on which the wearer 100 can sit. This allows the wearer 100 to fold the disaster prevention hood 10A and use it as a mat at evacuation sites during disasters, enabling them to sit comfortably regardless of the hardness or unevenness of the floor surface. This allows the disaster prevention hood 10A to be fixed to the wearer 100's head while evacuating from a disaster, and also makes the wearer 100's sitting posture more comfortable after evacuation.

In this embodiment 1, the interior material 13 is equipped with a headband 30 that contacts the wearer 100 from the forehead to the temples when worn, so that the disaster prevention hood 10A can be fastened from the forehead to the temples of the wearer 100 and worn in a fixed state on the wearer 100's head. As a result, the disaster prevention hood 10A can be worn in a state that is firmly fixed to the wearer 100's head when evacuating from a disaster.

In this embodiment 1, the interior material 13 includes a pair of chin straps 47, 47 positioned on the chin of the wearer 100, and connecting members 48 provided on the pair of chin straps 47, 47 for fastening each chin strap 47 to the chin of the wearer 100. This makes it possible to easily fasten the chin straps 47 to the chin of the wearer 100 using the connecting members 48, enabling the disaster prevention hood 10A to be easily and quickly attached and detached. Furthermore, the chin strap 47 is positioned with its base end inside the covering portion 12 that covers the wearer's head 100, and its tip end passing through the covering portion 12 and positioned outside the covering portion 12. A connecting member 48 is provided on the portion of the chin strap 47 that is positioned outside the covering portion 12. By pulling the connecting member 48 from the tip end to the base end of the chin strap 47, the chin strap 47 is fixed to the wearer's chin. This pulls the connecting member 48 from the tip end to the base end of the chin strap 47 on the outside of the covering portion 12, fixing the covering portion 12 near the chin in close contact with the wearer's chin area, and also fixing the interior material 13 to the wearer's head, thereby securing the disaster prevention hood 10A. This enhances the safety of the wearer's chin area when evacuating from a disaster, while allowing the hood to be worn in a fixed position on the head.

In this embodiment 1, a crown protection portion 11 is provided, which is made of a harder material than the covering portion 12 and is positioned to face at least the top of the wearer's head 100. As a result, the crown protection portion 11 can protect the top of the wearer's head from the impact of falling objects and penetration by protrusions. This further enhances the safety of the wearer's head when evacuating from a disaster.

In this embodiment 1, the crown protection portion 11 includes a crown protection main body portion 14 formed in the shape of an elongated column or an elongated plate. The crown protection main body portion 14 is arranged in the front-to-back direction including the crown of the wearer 100, or in the left-to-right direction including the crown. By attaching the crown protection main body portion 14 to the front and back of the crown of the wearer 100, or to the left and right of the crown of the wearer 100, the crown of the wearer 100 and its surrounding areas can be protected from the impact of falling objects and penetration by protrusions, thereby providing even more reliable protection for the wearer 100's head.

In this embodiment 1, the interior material 13 is equipped with a hammock 31 that comes into contact with the top of the wearer's head or near the top of the wearer's head when worn, thereby securely fixing the disaster prevention hood 10A to the top of the wearer's head and further enhancing the safety of the wearer's head.
In this embodiment 1, a pair of hammocks 31 are provided on or near the top of the wearer's head 100, and each is rotatably formed depending on the change in the shape of the covering portion 12 between the unfolded and folded states. This allows the position of the hammocks 31 within the entire disaster prevention hood 10A to be changed to a position appropriate to the purpose of each state, in both the unfolded and folded states. This makes it possible to realize a disaster prevention hood 10A that can be fixed to the head of the wearer 100 when evacuating from a disaster, and that can make the wearer's sitting posture after evacuation comfortable, based on a specific configuration.

[Embodiment 2 of the Invention]
Figures 15 to 20 show Embodiment 2 of the present invention.

The disaster prevention hood 10B of this second embodiment differs from the disaster prevention hood 10A of the first embodiment in the configuration of the crown protection portion 11, the covering portion 12, and the interior material 13.

[Scalp protection area, peripheral protection area]
As shown in Figures 17 and 18, the crown protection portion 11 comprises a crown protection main body portion 14, a contact portion 15, and a peripheral protection portion 16. The crown protection main body portion 14 and the contact portion 15 have the same configuration as the crown protection main body portion 14 and the contact portion 15 of Embodiment 1. As shown in Figure 18, the peripheral protection portion 16 differs from the peripheral protection portion 16 of Embodiment 1 in that it does not have a front retaining portion 45a and a rear retaining portion 45b.

This second embodiment differs from embodiment 1 in that, although it has the configuration of a "crown protection section," it does not have the configuration of a "hammock," because the peripheral protection section 16 in this embodiment 2 does not have a front holding section 45a and a rear holding section 45b.

[Covered part]
As shown in Figures 15, 16, and 19, the covering portion 12 of this second embodiment has a substantially semicircular pocket 90 on its inside. This pocket 90 is made of a soft material similar to the right-side member 25 and the left-side member 26. The pocket 90 is formed in a substantially semicircular shape, which is almost the same shape and size as the peripheral protection portion 16, and the peripheral protection portion 16 is housed inside it.

By housing the peripheral protection portion 16 in the pocket 90, the surface portion of the peripheral protection portion 16 can be maintained in a position aligned with the surface portion of the covering portion 12 when the shape of the disaster prevention hood 10B is changed between the unfolded and folded states. Furthermore, when the wearer 100 puts the disaster prevention hood 10B on their head, the pocket 90 will come into contact with the wearer's head. Even if the entire peripheral protection portion 16 is made of a rigid material, this prevents the peripheral protection portion 16 from directly contacting the wearer's head and causing discomfort.

[hammock]
The disaster prevention hood 10B of this second embodiment includes a hammock 31.

Figure 20 shows the unfolded state of the hammock 31 according to this second embodiment. As shown in the figure, the hammock comprises an annular hammock body portion 91, a pair of strip-shaped front holding portions 92, 92 extending forward (towards the forehead) from the hammock body portion 91, and a pair of strip-shaped rear holding portions 93, 93 extending backward (towards the back of the head) from the hammock body portion 91.

The front retaining sections 92, 92 and the rear retaining sections 93, 93 each have a headband retaining hole 94 approximately in the center and a cover retaining hole 95 approximately at the front. The headband retaining hole 94 is fastened with screws 96 in conjunction with the hammock retaining hole 38 of the headband 30, and the cover retaining hole 95 is fastened with screws 97 in the hammock retaining hole (not shown) of the cover 12.

[Headband]
The configuration of the headband 30 is the same as in Embodiment 1. However, the front connecting piece 36 and the rear connecting piece 37 are provided projecting upward. The hammock holding holes 38 of the front connecting piece 36 and the rear connecting piece 37 are fastened together with the headband holding holes 94 of the hammock 31 using screws 96.

The configuration other than that described above is the same as in Embodiment 1.

[Usage status]
In this second embodiment of the disaster prevention hood 10B, when the covering portion 12 is spread to the left and right to move from the folded state to the unfolded state, the peripheral protection portion 16 housed in the pocket 90 of the covering portion 12 is also spread to the left and right along with the covering portion 12. Furthermore, the hammock 31 fixed to the covering portion 12 with screws 97 and the headband 30 fixed to the hammock 31 with screws 96 are also spread to the left and right (see Figures 15 and 16). Also, when the unfolded covering portion 12 of the disaster prevention hood 10B is folded to the left and right, the headband 30 and the hammock 31 are folded. As a result, the disaster prevention hood 10B can be easily changed between an unfolded state and a folded state by the wearer 100 simply by spreading or narrowing the right-side member 25 and the left-side member 26 of the covering portion 12 in the left and right directions. Furthermore, similar to the disaster prevention hood 10A of the first embodiment, the disaster prevention hood 10B of this second embodiment also provides a comfortable seating experience for the wearer 100, as the flexibility of the covering portion 12 acts as a cushion when folded.

[Embodiment 3 of the Invention]
Figures 21 to 27 show this third embodiment.

As shown in Figures 21, 22, 25, and 26, in the disaster prevention hood 10C of this third embodiment, the head protection body 51 of the head protection section 50 is configured as a roughly trapezoidal, roughly columnar shape with the lower side being larger than the upper side. The head protection body 51 has a peripheral member 52 made of a hard material such as polypropylene, which is provided around almost the entire circumference of the end face, and an impact absorbing member 53 made of a material such as expanded polystyrene, which is softer and more elastic than the peripheral member 52, and is provided inside the peripheral member 52. As shown in Figures 25 and 26, the peripheral member 52 has an opening 54 and a hinge 55 that opens the opening 54, and the impact absorbing member 53 can be filled into the interior through the opening 54.

As shown in Figures 23 and 26, a contact portion 56 is provided below the central part of the head protection main body 51. As shown in Figure 26, the contact portion 56 of the disaster prevention hood 10C has an end face that is roughly trapezoidal, with a longer upper end and a shorter lower end. This reduces the impact on the wearer's head when the disaster prevention hood 10C is worn on the wearer's head 100, while also providing ample space for accommodating the interior material 13 when the disaster prevention hood 10C is folded.

As shown in Figures 22, 24, and 27, the peripheral protection section 57 of the disaster prevention hood 10C has a reinforcing section 58 that protrudes downward in a plan view and has a grid-like shape, attached to the peripheral protection main body 22. Inside this reinforcing section 58, an impact absorbing section 59 similar to the impact absorbing section 23 of Embodiment 1 is provided. The reinforcing section 58 enhances the peripheral protection section 57's resistance to impact from flying objects and to penetration by protruding objects.

Furthermore, as shown in Figures 22 and 26, the peripheral protection portion 57 of the disaster prevention hood 10C is rotatably attached by a hinge 60 above the crown protection main body portion 51 (above the contact portion 56, as shown in Figure 26). By attaching the peripheral protection portion 57 above the crown protection main body portion 51, the distance between the peripheral protection portion 57 and the wearer's head 100 is increased, reducing the possibility of a protruding object reaching the wearer's head if it penetrates the hood.

As shown in Figure 22, the covering portion 12 of the disaster prevention hood 10C in this third embodiment does not have the pocket 90 (see Figure 19) for housing the peripheral protection portion 16 that is present in the disaster prevention hood 10B of the second embodiment. The other configurations of the disaster prevention hood 10C are the same as those of the disaster prevention hood 10B of the second embodiment.

As described above, in this third embodiment of the disaster prevention hood 10C, the entire head protection main body 51 is covered with a surrounding member 52, a reinforcing part 58 is provided on the surrounding protection part 57, and the surrounding protection part 57 is positioned above the head protection main body 51. This enhances impact resistance against flying objects and reduces the possibility of a flying protrusion reaching the head if it penetrates the hood.

[Embodiment 4 of the Invention]
Figures 28 and 29 show Embodiment 4 of the present invention. Note that, in order to simplify the explanation, only the crown protection portion 61 and the covering portion 63 are shown in Figures 28 and 29, and descriptions of other components have been omitted.

As shown in Figure 28, the disaster prevention hood 10D of this fourth embodiment differs from the disaster prevention hoods 10A, 10B, and 10C of embodiments 1 to 3 in that the crown protection portion 61 is exposed to the outside at the upper end of the disaster prevention hood 10D, and a covering portion 63 is provided below the crown protection main body portion 62.

The crown protection body 62 of the crown protection section 61 has the same configuration as the crown protection body 51 of Embodiment 3. However, it differs from the crown protection body 51 of Embodiment 3 in that a pair of peripheral protection sections 64 are provided on the lower side of the crown protection body 62. These peripheral protection sections 64 are formed in a roughly rectangular shape in plan view from a rigid, hard material such as polypropylene, and are arranged from the front end to the rear end of the crown protection body 62. The peripheral protection sections 64 are rotatably attached to the lower side of the crown protection section 61 by a hinge 64a. A roughly concave fixing section 65 is formed on the lower side of the peripheral protection section 64 in end view, and the upper end of the covering section 63 is inserted into and fixed to this fixing section 65.

As shown in Figure 29, a gusset portion 66 is formed on the rear side of the covering portion 63 (the side facing the back of the wearer's head 100), which is folded back in a roughly V-shape when viewed from the end face. This gusset portion 66 is not fixed by the fixing portion 65. Other than the above, the configuration of the disaster prevention hood 10D is the same as that of the disaster prevention hoods 10A, 10B, and 10C of Embodiments 1 to 3.

In this fourth embodiment of the disaster prevention hood 10D, the crown protection portion 61 is exposed to the outside, allowing for high-strength protection of the wearer's 100's crown from falling objects and flying protrusions. Furthermore, in this fourth embodiment of the disaster prevention hood 10D, the peripheral protection portion 64 is arranged from the front to the rear end of the crown protection main body portion 62, allowing for protection of a wide area around the wearer's 100's crown from falling objects and flying protrusions. Additionally, in this embodiment of the disaster prevention hood 10D, a gusset portion 66 is formed on the rear side of the covering portion 63, allowing the rear side of the covering portion 12 to be opened widely in the left-right direction for attachment to the wearer's 100's head. This prevents the part facing the back of the wearer's 100's head from not opening completely, resulting in a secure and comfortable fit of the disaster prevention hood 10D.

[Embodiment 5 of the Invention]
Figures 30 and 31 show Embodiment 5 of the present invention. Note that, in order to simplify the explanation, only the crown protection portion 71 and the covering portion 12 are shown in Figures 30 and 31, and descriptions of other components have been omitted.

As shown in Figure 30, in this embodiment 5, the disaster prevention hood 10E is attached to the wearer's head 100 with the longitudinal direction of the crown protection main body portion 72 of the crown protection portion 71 extending in the left-right direction of the wearer's head 100.

In this fifth embodiment of the disaster prevention hood 10E, the upper approximate center portion of the crown protection portion 71 and the upper approximate center portion of the covering portion 12 are pivotally supported around an axis 73. The other configurations are the same as those of the disaster prevention hood 10A in this first embodiment and the disaster prevention hood 10B in second embodiment.

As shown in Figure 30, in this embodiment 5, the disaster prevention hood 10E is attached in the unfolded state so that the crown protection body portion 72 of the crown protection portion 71 faces the wearer's head 100 in the left-right direction. On the other hand, as shown in Figure 31, in the folded state, the crown protection portion 71 is rotated 90° in the direction of arrow R around the axis 73 (Figure 31(a)) so that the crown protection body portion 72 is positioned along the joint between the right-side member 25 and the left-side member 26 of the covering portion 12 (Figure 31(b)), and the right-side member 25 and the left-side member 26 of the covering portion 12 are made into a flattened shape (Figure 31(c)). Then, the right-side member 25 of the covering portion 12 is folded in a valley fold at the boundary between the upper portion 12a and the lower portion 12b, and the left-side member 26 is folded in a valley fold at the boundary between the upper portion 12a and the lower portion 12b (Figure 31(c)). This forms the folded state.

[Embodiment 6 of the Invention]
Figures 32 and 33 show Embodiment 6 of the present invention. Note that, in order to simplify the explanation, only the crown protection portion 71 and the covering portion 75 are shown in Figures 32 and 33, and descriptions of other components have been omitted.

As shown in Figure 32, in this embodiment 6, the disaster prevention hood 10F is attached to the wearer's head 100 with the longitudinal direction of the crown protection body portion 72 of the crown protection portion 71 extending in the left-right direction of the wearer's head 100. However, unlike embodiment 5, the crown protection portion 71 of this embodiment 6 does not have a shaft 73 (see Figure 31) for rotating relative to the covering portion 75.

As shown in Figure 32, the covering portion 75 of this embodiment 6 comprises a front member 76 and a rear member 77. The front member 76 is formed to a relatively short length, and the rear member 77 is formed to a relatively long length. The other configurations are the same as those of the disaster prevention hood 10A of this embodiment 1 and the disaster prevention hood 10B of embodiment 2.

As shown in Figure 33, in this embodiment 6, the disaster prevention hood 10F, when unfolded, is fitted such that the front member 76 of the covering portion 75 covers the wearer 100 from the top of the head to the forehead, and the rear member 77 covers the wearer 100 from the top of the head to the back of the neck (Figure 33(a)).

On the other hand, as shown in Figure 33, in the folded state, the front member 76 and the rear member 77 of the covering portion 75 are closed to form a flat plate and folded, creating the folded state (Figure 33(b)).

[Embodiment 7 of the Invention]
Figure 34 shows Embodiment 7 of the present invention. Note that, in order to simplify the explanation, in Figure 34 only the peripheral protective part of the disaster prevention hood, the hammock, and the hammock body are labeled with reference numerals, and the reference numerals for other components are omitted.

As shown in Figure 34, in this embodiment 7, the inner diameter L1 of the hammock body portion 91 of the hammock 31 of the disaster prevention hood 10G is larger than the inner diameter of the hammock body portion 91 of the hammock 31 of embodiment 2. As shown in Figure 34, the inner diameter L1 of the hammock body portion 91 in its deployed state is larger than the size L2 of both sides of the peripheral protection portion 16 in its deployed state. The other configurations are the same as those of the disaster prevention hood 10B of embodiment 2.

As shown in Figure 34, in this embodiment of the disaster prevention hood 10G, the diameter L1 of the hammock body 91 is larger than the size L2 of both sides of the peripheral protection portion 16. When folded, the peripheral protection portion 16 is positioned inside the annular hammock body 91, and the hammock body 91 and the peripheral protection portion 16 do not overlap. Therefore, the folded disaster prevention hood 10G can be made thin and smooth, reducing bulk and providing a comfortable sitting experience.
