Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a bonding strength, by the method wherein a reinforcing member, which is made of a material having longer strength and larger modulus of elasticity than a foaming resin molded product and is so shaped that a concentrating load applied to a jointed portion is dispersed, is molded monolithically at a portion where an another member is joined to the foaming molded product.
CONSTITUTION: A molded product 1 is molded by the use of a resin molding material containing a foaming agent and consists of an inner layer comprising a resin layer having a more foaming volume and an outer layer comprising a resin layer having a less foaming volume. When another member is jointed to the molded product 1, a reinforcing member 11 is monolithically molded in the molded product by the use of a bolt 3, a nut 4, a washer 5, etc. The reinforcing member 11 consists of a circular disc portion 111 and a cylindrical portion 112 which is monolithically united with the portion 111 and passes through and emerges from a surface of the foaming resin molded product. Where the reinforcing member 11 described above is used, a load applied to a jointing member of another member can be transferred directly to the reinforcing member 11. This permits the prevention of breakdown due to compression of the foaming resin molded product at the portion which is in contact with the jointing member 2 or the washer 5.
