Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve oxidation resistance and mechanical strength and to aim at stabilizing magnetic characteristic of a rotor and improving reliability by performing various kinds of plating after magnetizing intermetallic compounds of rare earth metals of RM5, R2M17 system. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet coated with a plating payer on its surface is driven into a rotor pinion through a busing 2 to constitute a rotor. The permanent magnet is consisting of RM5, R2M17 system intermetallic compound magnet of rare metals R constituted by one or more than two kinds of La, Y, Ce, Sm, Pr and the like and the metal M constituted by one or more than two kinds of Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and the like. The surface of the permanent magnet is plated with various kinds of metals i.e. Ni, Cu, Ni-Co, Al, Fe, Cr, Mo, Ag, Zn and the like. By doing so, oxidation of the magnet surface and deterioration of the magnet resin binders are prevented and also mechanical strength is increased.
