Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to start smoothly and surely the equipment such as discharge dimmer and motor requiring much power at the application of power supply, by short circuit between the both terminals of the DC power supply for a given time at the application of power supply. CONSTITUTION:The switching element Q such as transistors, capacitor Cl and time constant circuit TC' are connected between + and - of the DC power supply. The control end of the switching element Q is connected to the + terminal of the DC power supply, and the anode, cathode and gate of n-gate thyristor PUT are respectively connected to the time constant circuit TC', - terminal of DC power supply, and control end of the switching element Q. When DC power supply is fed between the both terminals + and - of the DC power supply, the turning on of the switching element Q shotens the both power supply terminals and after the time determined with the time constant of the time constant circuit TC', the switching element Q is OFF with turning on of the n-gate thyristor PUT.
