Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid perfectly the abrasion and the lacking which occur to the core gap by locating the magnetic head so that the flat part including the core gap may be inclined with a fixed angle to the tangent of the track on the disk. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head is located so that flat part 22-3 including core gap 24 may be inclined by fixed angle theta to tangent 32. This angle theta is decided by Eq. I, where L is the length between core gap 24 and boundary 25-3 at part 22-3 and W is the core width each. And the angles larger than this will do, but the upper limit is set to 20 deg. to be preferably set to 10 deg. or less. In such way, the magnetic head is located with some inclination to the track tangent, and thus the abrasion and lacking occurring to the core gap can be avoided perfectly. As a result, the reliability can be increased for the disk device.
