Abstract
PURPOSE:To standardize the timing of the whole communication system by synchronizing multiplex operations by connecting the timing signal output terminal of one of converters to the input terminal of another converter. CONSTITUTION:From time-division multiplex (TDM-provided) MODEM M1 serving as a main MODEM, a clock signal is sent to TDM-provided MODEMs M2 and M3 by way of clock signal lines l1 and l2. TDM-provided MODEMs M2 and M3 synchronize their own clocks with the sent clock. Then, TDM-provided MODEM Mi' can synchronize its own clock with that of corresponding TDM-pro vided MODEM Mi, TDM-provided MODEMmi can synchronize its own clock with that of corresponding TDM-provided MODEM Mi, and TDM-provided MODEMmi' can also synchronize its own clock with that of corresponding TDM-provided MODEMmi, thereby standardizing the timing of the whole communication system.
