Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the beading glass by making through-holes facing each other in each end face plates of electrodes which are facing each other then inserting organic insulators in said through-hole to couple and hold the facing electrodes. CONSTITUTION:More than two coupling through-holes 7 and 8 are made at the facing positions in each facing end plates t1and t2 of first and second grid electrodes G1 and G2 while separated from electron beam pass holes h1 and h2. Inorganic insulator 9 such as glass is placed at the through-holes 7 and 8 facing each other between the facing end plates t1 and t2 to couple both electrodes G1 and G2 mechanically. The insulator 9 will gnaws into the through-holes 7 and 8 and extends from the circumference of each hole 7 and 8 at the inner and outer faces of each end plates t1 and t2. Consequently the beading glass isn't required thereby the diameter of the electron gun is enlarged.
