Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a high frequency signal of an aimed constant frequency directly from an amplifier provided with delay feedback, by detecting and applying a phase shift in an amplifier output due to a feedback loop to a phase shifter. CONSTITUTION:When one component of a signal branched to two by the 4th branching circuit 15 of control part D is applied to phase detecting circuit 17 and the other is applied via the 2nd delay line 16, a phase difference is generated between both systems and phase detecting circuit 17 generates the output voltage that corresponds to the phase difference. Thus, phase discontinuance is detected which is generated at intervals of delay time tau1 of the 1st delay line 5. When this detected voltage is so applied to phase shifter 13 that the discontinuance of the phase will be canceled, a discontinuous and irregular change in phase generated at intervals of time tau1 is canceled in the output of amplifier 3 and while a frequency in oscillation completely in constant phase can be obtained in much longer time than tau1, the oscillation of a continuous wave becomes possible.
