Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled film having excellent fog-proofness and high-temperature and low-temperature drip-proofness, by a method wherein a sorbitan fatty acid ester derivative to which both ethylene oxide and propylene oxide are added, is blended with PVC to produce a compsn. which is then molded.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1W5.0pts.wt. At least one compd. [obtd. by adding 0.1W5.0mol ethylene oxide and 0.1W5.0mol propylene oxide to one mole fatty acid ester of a dehydrated product of sorbitol (e.g. sorbitan monomyristate or sorbitan distearate)] is blended with 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin to produce a compsn. which is then molded by extrusion or calendering into the desired film or sheet. The produced film or sheet is superior in any of fog-proofness and high-temperature and low-temperature drip-proofness to that obtd by using, as a fog- and drip-proofing agent, sorbitan monostearate or a compd. obtd. by adding either ethylene oxide or propylene oxide to sorbitan monostearate.
