Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the effect of cleaning inside a rotary drum by closing the discharge port with a closing member and reversely rotating the rotary drum for circularly running cleaning water inside.
CONSTITUTION: A discharge port at the end part of a blade 16 in a rotary drum 7 is closed with a closing member 15 made of sponge or other soft materials. Then, when cleaning water is thrown into the rotary drum main body 7 from a hopper 13 and the rotary drum 7 is reversely rotated (discharge rotation), the cleaning water is pushed up by a blade 9 to rise as an arrow A shows. But, as the discharge port of the drum 7 is closed, a discharge passage 14 between the inside of the opening end of the drum 7 and the outside of a charging cylinder 10 is filled with the risen cleaning water, which is then introduced into the cylinder 10 through gaps 11 and holes 12 of the cylinder 10 and falls to the inner part of the drum 7. Meanwhile, the cleaning water is again pushed up by the blade 9 toward the discharge port of the drum 7 for circulating within the drum 7.
