【発明の詳細な説明】
湿式ライナ式シリンダの内燃機関においては、ライナと
フレームの嵌合部に冷却水ジャケットをシールするため
のゴムリングが装着されるのであるが、特に冷却水とし
て海水を用いる舶用機関においては、上記嵌合部におけ
る間隙に腐食が生じ、そのためゴムリングの圧着力が減
少してシール性が低下するのであり、又一般にゴムリン

るとともに、該空所に所要の性状を有する充填剤を予め
注入しておくことにより、該リングが嵌合部において圧
着せしめられた際に充填剤が上記空所から嵌合部の間隙
に押し出されるようにしたものであり、もっていかなる
嵌合部においても核部の間隙を密封して水や油の漏出を

出されるのであり、これにより該間隙が密封せしめられ
るとともに、該リング11によれば充填剤12が封入せ
しめられていることにより、前記■状断面のリング1の
ように装着直前に充填剤を注入しなければ固化してしま

に密封するのであり、これにより従来においては手数を
要し且つ周辺の形状等により困難な場合が多かった嵌合
部における間隙の密封を容易にしかも完全に行い得るよ
うになり、もって内燃機関のライナとフレ、−ムの嵌合
部等において水や油の漏出を確実に防止し得る効果を奏
